24 years ago today “Stanley 2: The Legacy” was released. My second movie made when I was 17 in high school with my friends. In 2018 I decided to fix it up, re digitize from the original tapes and film a few extra scenes with the help of the same camera I used in 1998 and my babies who were my mini crew as we went to the park to shoot. What a beautiful time. I was able to fix scenes and restore the movie to release on YouTube for all to see. Time just comes and goes. On this day 25 years ago I completed my first movie! #NaturalBornStanley using VHS tapes and two VCRS 😍 After getting the puppet eyes as a gift I would take them to school and puppeteer every day. Friends would gift me items like a marching band glove for the face and little hands and clothes. I built my first puppet #StanleyMerrick when people would ask how I made him I would say “I had a bad day once and I created him with electricity in a lab to exact revenge on those who did me wrong” and that is what became the movie.
