I absolutely did not expect to get this obsessed with Vienna Blood this fast, I swear I was just curious about how many people have caught on to Max and Oscar's chemistry and stuck on it enough to express it online.

I am now writing a fic for it, a mere few days later. I now know the layout of Max's apartment in season 3. I have read at the very least half of the 94(at the time of writing) fics in the ao3 tag for the pairing. I have promised all my worldly possessions to Leah Liebermann. Several of my friends know more than they ever intended or wanted to about Dr. Max Liebermann's characterisation and my own interpretation of him.

Despite all this I feel like I'll explode if I don't talk about it more. The writing helps at least lol

This post is half a cry for help and half an attempt to instigate some talk about Vienna Blood and my boys, idk if I should be indulged or cut off lmao

Max, do you really think your engagement party wouldn't be proper without Oskar? So who did you get engaged to anyway? XD

And if you think he was just joking, then soon he clearly proves his words with his deeds. Just look: Oskar leaves and Max stands there so lost that his fiancee decides to let him go. Max immediately rushes after Oskar with a happy smile. Clara, I think you're a saint if you can tolerate this.

*Commissioner: Ah, I see Dr Liebermann is consulting again. Your lucky charm, Rheinhardt.

You get right to the point, Commissioner :) Oskar should keep his lucky charm as close as possible.

*Oskar: I don't think I could've survived another minute without your presence.

Watch your words, Oskar! Max may decide this is a guide to action ;)

*Clara: Max? Isn't that your inspector? I didn't realise there were three of us. That's going to make it awfully difficult when we choose dance partners.

Don't worry, Clara, they will dance together in another episode XD

Actually they both look gorgeous at this party, especially Oskar, who for once dressed decently and looks like a gentleman :) Now he and Max look like a true partners (in every meaning ;)) And these gazes… That's why I say the screen is melting :)

*Scene with a glass of champagne. Watch their hands :) Max hands his glass to Oskar. The inspector immediately drinks from it, then returns it to Max a couple of scenes later.

Here's a question: why poor Oskar didn't get his own glass? What kind of beggarly party is this where a man has to drink from his partner's glass? :)

*Max: I don't trust von Bulow. You should be there to step in. Oskar: I spend my life saving your skin. Why should today be different?

Oskar, you met the doctor just recently! Or maybe you no longer remember your life before this meeting?

Tbh I don't even know what prompt to ask for except that I need more Vienna Blood fic like air to breathe. If u ship Oscar and Max maybe a tender moment between them?

I ship Max/Oskar so much! My fic for them is here :) Here’s a little scene for you.

Oskar had bought smoked almonds for them both from the Hungarian vendor at the gates of the Volksgarten. Spring had not quite arrived, but even though very few others were in the park, Max took them to their usual secluded spot.

“Try these, Max,” Oskar said. “The flavours are wonderful.” He opened the twist of paper and encouraged Max to take them. Instead of grabbing half a dozen as Oskar would have done, Max lifted only one almond with his elegant, pianist’s fingers.

“Bonfires and liquorice you said,” Max said. He placed it in his mouth and savoured it. “You’re right. And something else - paprika perhaps.”

Watching Max roll the smoked nut in his mouth was a little too much for Oskar. With all sorts of Freudian thoughts occurring, he closed his eyes and tilted his face to the weak winter sun.

“It reminds me of how you tasted,” Max said, and Oskar opened his eyes again. Max was smiling at him.

“The first time we...” Max flushed and Oskar nodded, beginning to smile back. “Smoke and star anise.”

“Shall we stroll behind the Grillparzerdenkmal,” he suggested. “And I can remind you more?”

I haven’t read the books but do they ever follow up on Amelia’s trauma? She got electroshock therapy and suddenly she’s not triggered anymore? I’m rewatching the show realizing how significant it was in episode 1. And then with the cast change she became more English in the sense that she was almost chirpy and nonchalant. Was it just a writing continuity issue or did I miss something?
