One of our favorite festivals is the annual "Oktoberfest Flushing Style: Sauerkraut & Kimchi" organized by the Voelker Orth Museum, Bird Sanctuary and Victorian Garden, a historic landmark in Flushing, Queens, maintained by a small nonprofit organization with the story of local volunteers and business owners. Oktoberfest Flushing Style is a family friendly evening of food and music open to the entire community. The festival features live entertainment and culture from Germany and Korea, including bratwurst, kimchi, beer, and japchae. Experience the bountiful garden and help support the Museum.
