What do you think each of the marauders would major in?

i think there are a lot of glorious possibilities BUT these are my gut reactions

remus: probably literature but without any plan for what to do with it other than be a professor (and not want to tell people that bc that’s what everyone sarcastically suggests is the only thing it’s good for WHICH IS BULL BUT) 

sirius: has likely switched majors a couple times and has now settled into philosophy bc you can always argue the finer points of anything there and could theoretically talk about ANYTHING for the class time. also professors in that major tend to allow a little less structure so it’s v comfy for him

james: poli sci so he can go save the world some day  and because he Truly Believes in the good in people and helping but also has been eyeing the film studies major because it seems like more fun?? and there’s this cute red headed girl who’s TAing some of the classes

peter: started off following sirius into philosophy but doesn’t like how there are pretty much no right answers  (which is stressful and he feels like he’s not getting enough out of it / like he’s always wrong even if that’s not the point) and so now he’s taking courses in anthropology (there’s still rly interesting stuff about ethics involved in that)

sirius is the one who introduces lily to punk rock and to their surprise she really digs it. she gets very into the whole thing and thats when her and sirius realize they actually have a lot to bond over (o⌒．⌒o)
