Weevil is the one to interrupt the assault on Veronica in the parking garage, which sets them both on a different path (Season 3 AU).

He hates her a little for going here with this, for busting his stupid fantasies about them.  Veronica Mars would fuck him. He’s certain now.  She’d regret it and call it a mistake and hold it against him, but he knows now that under all that damned head tilting... yeah: she would, given the right circumstances.

Maybe that would be the best thing: pipe her and move on.   They could never be… whatever it was they were before: not quite friends but something, after that.  Veronica isn’t one of those girls to screw him and then act like nothing that happened.  Truth is: she’s not one of those girls he could bang and then be bros with neither.

“Did you not listen to a word I said to you that night, Weevil? Or was that the problem?”

Under the bravado, he can hear he’s hurt her feelings, not that he gets why, not that she’d forgive him for realizing that any more than she would for taking her up on what she’s turned his world upside down by offering. She’s pissed he didn’t jump on the sliver of an offer he didn’t think she meant, but if he had it would have done more damage.   He knows this, but he still can’t help taking a deep breath and thinking about saying what she apparently wants in this moment.

I thought you were just fucking with me, mami he imagines telling her, Let me show you just how much I’m not turning you down.  Take her home, make it count so he’d have the memory of the time he nailed Veronica Mars to pull up to keep him company on lonely nights for the rest of time.

No. Something holds him back.  The two of them have said ugly shit to each other before, but she always comes back round.  She’s talking to him ain’t she?

First, thank you to everyone for your submissions! It's been great seeing them all come in and reading all the propaganda. There's characters from a pretty wide range of things, so it'll be a fun challenge to get them all matched up and I'm really looking forward to starting this tournament.

Since we're only a few days away from the final submission deadline, here's the list of the characters submitted so far, so that if anyone has a character they want to submit who isn't on the list yet, they can still get them in!

I'll also be noting which characters are currently going to be going through preliminary polls to determine if they're eligible for the main tournament. There aren't very many characters on this list, and everyone who is on it is either there because someone who submitted them indicated that they weren't sure if the character was eligible or not, or because I was personally familiar with the character and felt they were in that gray zone of eligibility for this particular tournament. I don't know all the characters and media submitted, though, so if anyone who is familiar with a character not already on the preliminaries list feels someone should be moved there, you are welcome to let me know.

After April 30th, which is the last day I'll take submissions, I'll put the handful of preliminary polls up. Please feel free to send in more characters until then!

Ok so I’m a big fan of Veronica Mars which means I live for season 1-3 and, well, then there’s season 4. Everything about season 4 felt so warped and it didn’t feel like the same show, except for one thing. Whenever Veronica and Weevil interacted it felt like the same old Veronica Mars. I loved every time they were together in season 4. It was almost comforting.
