what made you pick up the current muse(s) you have?

fixation as soon as the second trailer with her reveal came? Like the little snippets that was known about the game already weaved a pretty intricate (and disproven lol) plot and personality.

Even after everything got debunked I still kept my original lore + now I live and love the idea her ideal, picturesque self is actually a front for how clutzy and forgetful she really is as a super busy champion who's passionate about her region.

is there anything you don’t like to write?

bad/sad unnecessary endings or forks in the road?? I know it's silly in context like "well stories arent all happy-" BUT THIS IS POKEMON AR PEE AND I PARTIALLY CONTROL THE NARATIVE AND I WANT MY PROTAGS TO GO THROUGH IT BUT COME OUT AT THE END GETTING EVERYTHING THEY WANT. IS IT SO BAD I DONT WANT TO PARTICIPATE IN BITTER SADNESS EVEN IN A FANTASY MADE-UP SCENARIO? REALITY IS HELL AS IS I DONT WANNA BE SAD ALL DAY OVER INTERNET BARBIES, I HAVE BILLS AND TAXES TO DO.

so I make sure to plot with long term plot partners so we all get that character growth and exciting story with something good they can all take away in the end. No, the character doesnt have to die to prove a macab point. No the loving couple doesnt have to break up for some story twist. And thats what AU's are for if we're looking to explore something else so it's easy to separate from 👍

is there anything you really enjoy writing?

plot novellas 👀 I see a partner reply instantly to a plot thread and I jive for days on end until the next reply for real-- each one is a really juicy cliffhanger and a lot of them still haunt the back of my mind.

how do you come up with headcanons? 

most come with interactions or thoughts stemming from the game or story itself. Eventually they branch out and more ideas happen and a lot comes from looking at dash and bringing up some really interesting points!

do you write in silence or do you play music? 

Ambiance and music helps esp when silence is actually really distracting (thoughts wandering and what not-adhd be like that). The mood even influences the reply.

do you plan your replies or wing them?

planned for plot driven replies but ic bouts and simple replies are winged!

do you enjoy shipping? 

YES YES YES YES, though recently I have to be a little more careful about saying Im completely open to shipping on whim. At some points the plot involves the other person too much and it gets hard to move a story along esp with the nature of the rpc and the lifespan of interest in the muse/rpc (which is natural ofc!).

You're okay to show and express interest in shipping so we can take a direction with our muses interaction wise but I say it's not for certain until they develop some more long term. Who knows, maybe it was just a crush or a fling sort of thought :' 0

behind the scenes character notes

'heroftruth' used to have two o's. It's been a constant user name/url/ present somewhere. While Hilda will not refer to herself as a hero so to speak, that position of Reshiram's chosen has been a constant central theme since the night I started writing her. It's a defining point in her story.

Expressing Hilda's trauma more properly has been a theme since I picked her back up in 2020. I've had this muse for a LONG time and while the heart of her (a small-town girl who had a strong belief in what was right and refused to back down) has stayed the same, she has definitely evolved.

I view her and N as two sides of the same coin, a foil to one another. N isn't a villain, he's an anti-hero. In older takes on Hilda I followed as her reasoning for leaving Unova was to look for N, because one she wanted to make sure he was okay and two it felt to her like he would be the only one to really understand what she went through. They both had the weight of the region on their shoulders. While she still does look for N and follows leads (same reasons still) I changed things in 2020 as her needing to get away because I didn't want it being viewed by others as the stereotypical "oh the protag dropped everything to find N". Because there is more to it than that.

Her Samurott's name, Percy, comes from Percy Jackson. I know, look I was 14 and couldn't think of another water-type male name, and it just STUCK.

Hilda having trauma from the events with plasma has been a constant. Having experienced that sort of intense fear and pressure is trauma and so is something that shouldn't have happened to you making you lose out on normal experiences. I've just progressively better at writing expressions of trauma as I've learned more about it.

One of my goals with Hilda has always been showing a female character with trauma not letting it own her. One of my favorite book series, Shatter Me, has a character like this (Juliette Ferrars) and that character has been a big inspiration since around 2015.

Katniss and Snow (hunger games) conversation scenes are inspo for writing involving Hilda and Ghetsis. That cold & calculated dynamic vs unwilling to give up because there are people you care about that need you to keep going.

Hilda was not the strongest protagonist in terms of pokemon team levels. If you play though BW without excessive training, only doing enough training to be up against what the game puts in front of you, you'll finish with your pokemon in the 50's. The strongest opponent pokemon is level 54. All of my other games main teams (without excessive training) have finished in the 70's. I see her strength coming from the way her and her pokemon work together and her determination. People are going to have a challenge facing her, even if their pokemon are higher level, but it may be more of a "she and her team are very much one" type thing. Her team is definitely higher levels now, around 70's-verging 90's maybe one or two is in low 90's but it's been years.

The levels you end in bw are the reason WHY I hc that the events of BW occurred at a FAST pace and within MONTHS. No later than ten months at the MOST.

Gil makes friends with an unusual Pokémon and this one decides very stubbornly he wants to be his partner Pokémon to someone who never really fought a battle.

Gil has no idea what to do and asks Thena for help

Snap!

Gil looked down, dread filling him from the neck down. Under his boot was a very nice leek stalk. And a very nice, very sturdy, plucked leek could only mean one thing. He looked up, "uh..."

"Farfetch'd!"

"Sorry, I'm sorry!" Gil held up his hands as the furious Wild Duck pokemon stormed out of the pondside grass and towards him. "I didn't mean to!"

"Far-Farfetch'd!" Well, of course he hadn't meant to, but what was done, was done!

"I know, I'm sorry, really!" Gil continued to plead, even holding up the snapped leek. "I would never-!"

The ruffled bird pokemon continued to glare at him, the marking of its 'unibrow' making it look even more severe. It snatched back the two halves of the leek from him in a huff. "Farf!"

"I really am sorry," Gil repeated, sadder this time as he watched the Farfetch'd look at its beloved leek forlornly. He removed his hat and pressed it to his chest. "I can help you find another one."

"Far?"

"I will," Gil nodded, already resolute to help no matter what duties he was putting off by doing so. "I'm a pokemon ranger. I took an oath to help any and every pokemon that needs my help."

The pokemon looked skeptical at best. It even crossed its wings at him in a look of pure disbelief, "Far-Farfetched."

"Well," Gil ruffled his hair in the face of the pokemon's skepticism. "No--but if you tell me what you're looking for, at least I can help you look twice as fast, right?"

Farfetch'd continue to glare at him, mostly, but he could see the expression on its face lightening. It slapped its webbed feet on the grass a little more firmly, "Farfetch'd?"

"I won't leave until I make this right," Gil vowed to the small avian pokemon, holding up his hand like he did on his first day of initiation.

Farfetch'd did not seem moved by his solemnity, but it did shrug its wings before tucking its broken leek under one of them. "Far!"

"Yes, sir," Gil chuckled. He wasn't used to such a non-confrontational - at least with humans - pokemon being so bossy. But the obstinate little duck reminded him of someone. "So, uh, I know the basic height and shape, but what else should I know?"

"Far!" he squawked back at him as he began rooting through the lower grasses as Gil searched the higher stalks. "Far-Farfetch'd-Far."

"Right," Gil murmured, directing his attention to the colours of the stalks of choice, as well as the thickness of them. This would be Farfetch'd's primary mode of protection, after all. Even if Farfetch'd mostly only confronted other Farfetch'd, he would still need to defend himself.

"Farfetch'd?"

Gil looked up and over, although Farfetch'd was entirely focused on the task at hand. He just wasn't used to making small talk with a wild pokemon. "Uh, y-yeah, I have a, uh, family...of sorts."

"Farfetched?"

Gil blushed faintly, batting some taller water grass out of his way. "I don't know if I'd say a hatchling, but we have a...we have a Teddiursa. I rescued him and he imprinted on Thena, so-"

"Far?"

"Yes!" Gil huffed, feeling agitated by the bird's overly direct line of questioning. He really tried not to let pokemon get him on the 'mate' topic, though. "She has a house up at the top of the mountain."

"Far," the little pokemon mused aloud, tapping the bottom of its beak. Only very strong trainers and pokemon chose to live so high up and in the open.

"Yeah, she is tough," he chuckled. "I think you'd like her."

"Fetch'd," he looked back over at Gil, still with no leek suiting his fine tastes. "Far-Farfetch'd."

Gil laughed, picking one with potential, "nah, I'm the lucky one. I love my job, but they also make it nice to go home to someone, y'know?"

"Far." Farfetched looked down at the grass beneath its feet, even the feathers at the top of its head sinking lower.

"Oh," Gil uttered gently, taking in the suddenly more melancholy Farfetch'd. Sure, not everyone in every colony managed to find a nestmate, but he couldn't imagine what it was like to be the only one without that feeling of having a family. "Hey."

Farfetched look up at Gil, letting him pat the top of his head, feathers and all. He sighed.

"Listen," Gil smiled down at the little guy. "I know it's hard to really devote yourself to taking care of everyone else. It takes a lot out of you, right?"

"Far," the pokemon reluctantly agreed, the weight of his responsibilities to the flock weighing on his wings.

"But you're doing great work, right? I bet your colony has been really safe all these years with you," Gil attempted to encourage him. "You may not have hatchlings of your own, but you've helped keep all of them safe."

"Far?"

"Really," he smiled, taking a seat next to the reticent duck. "That's kind of what it feels like to be a ranger, y'know?"

"Farfetch'd?" it tilted its head at him, also seating itself properly.

"Well," Gil shrugged, ruffling his hair under his hat. "Being a ranger is a tough job. And I'm not saying rangers never think 'oh, this would be so much easier if I had my own pokemon'. I'm lucky I have a Dragonite I hatched from an egg, but a lot of rangers don't have pokemon who are really bonded to them like that. We don't believe in it."

"Farfetch'd?"

Gil sighed, tugging at the collar of his vest. "Pokemon are amazing creatures, and we're lucky to share our world together. I don't wanna force any pokemon to be bound to me, in a pokeball or otherwise. Even Dragonite--I hatched him, but he doesn't have a pokeball. If he didn't wanna stick around, or be a ranger, he didn't have to be. He chose that life."

"Farfetch'd!" the bird pokemon squawked, starry-eyed at the idea of a pokemon having such a designated and impressive job.

"Yeah, he's the best," Gil laughed in agreement. "And now our little Teddi is a ranger too! Well, a ranger in training. He's still a Mama's cub when he gets home."

"Fa-fa-far," Farfetched chuckled into its wing.

"Don't tell him I said that! If you ever meet him," Gil rushed to amend. Teddiursa felt very strongly about being babied these days.

"Farfetch'd," the bird agreed, nodding and raising a solemn wing as a promise.

"Thanks," Gil sighed. He looked at Farfetch'd again. "So listen, I get it. It's hard to devote your life to the service of others like that. But you're doing good work, and I'm sure your colony really appreciates it."

"Far," Farfetch'd hummed, tapping its beak again. He looked up at Gil, something about his expression shifting.

"I really admire you, and all the work you've done," Gil tipped his hat to the pokemon.

"Farfetch'd!"

"Huh?" Gil blinked at the sudden demand. But Farfetch'd jumped back onto its feet, flapping his wings, repeating the request to see his life as a ranger--to meet his family! "I-I don't-"

"Far-Farfetch'd!" he repeated. He wanted to see what it was like to be a colony protector of a different kind! He wanted to see life outside the grasslands! And he wanted to know more about this ranger.

"I don't really, y'know," Gil paused. He had just described how he didn't really have a partner pokemon, and Dragonite and Teddiursa somewhat fit into that category for him. But he didn't think it was an invitation.

"Farfetch'd," the bird pokemon stood tall, though. "Far-Farfetch'd."

Gil looked at the stubborn pokemon. He had to admit, he did make him think somewhat of Thena and how hard headed she could be sometimes. Farfetch'd was a pokemon who was used to being a diligent protector and caretaker. He would probably fit right in with them. Gil sighed.

"Far?"

"I don't have pokeballs," he held his hands up. "But if you wanna just come and...see the ranger centre--I guess that's fine. Don't get ahead of yourself, okay? I'm not...catching you, or anything."

"Fa-fa-far-fetch'd!" he laughed in the face of his reluctance.

Gil rolled his eyes; a pokemon laughing at him would fit right in with Thena's pokemon just fine. "Okay, let's go I guess."

"Farfetch'd!!!"

"Right, s-sorry," Gil nearly tripped. He had almost forget they had to find him a replacement leek first.

Do you think you have a type of character you gravitate towards? i tend to generally write characters in my wheelhouse, though i think i have deviations now and again lmao. like, who would think i'd write shigure, right? but, mostly cheerful characters, i think. mood-makers, the kind of people who would set a scene, but also be enough of a backseat player to the driving force where any protagonist or antagonist would take up the reins more comfortably? i think they tend to get written off as genki or filler characters, so i like kind of prodding at their insecurities and seeing what makes them tick instead.

What do you believe you enjoy writing the most? lmao, lbr i'm made for the clown show. nonsensical moments, increasingly strange meet and greets? but, i like doing big establishing moments that suspend what you know about my characters at face value to explore what's deeper in there. i'll slowburn friendship, idgaf; that's my shit.

Favorite TOA-related memory: lel, team justice is still a highlight in my memory from l&k, but i also remember this very specific combat sequence i wrote with rai in the first major lore event with felix and cynthia that was sick as hell to do! ....... also, probably every piemageddon. it is funny seeing even the serious characters fear for their lives / get uber maniacal in a ridiculous situation.

tell me about your muse's ace pokemon. which one is it? how did your muse get them? is there any specific attack or technique they use? tell me anything!

that would be his pack leader akifumi, who was the one responsible for nearly collapsing radio tower. at first glance, you wouldn't expect him to be the ace or the strongest one since in threatening battle situations, he rarely takes the leading position, staying mostly in the background until last second and this is by order. in one-on-one battles though, he's most often the first one to be picked thanks to his variety of skills ranging from swift attacks to straight up mauling to chasing down runaways. he is also the most fiercely (violently) loyal of the bunch, so he basically has to be taken down first if you want to get to archer.

being the offspring of one of his previous houndooms, he was raised by hand from birth with special care after archer took note of the firepower being far beyond that of a regular houndour puppy (akifumi almost burned his apartment down as a baby, multiple times :/). he's basically like a tactical nuke in a form of a flesh-eating hellhound doggy, with his flash fire ability pushing the firepower further through the roof.

on the outside, akifumi is a sight with his beautiful shiny black fur, piercing eyes and perfect stance while beside his trainer. in battles, he's a special attacker, utilizing nasty plot to power up fire blast and dark pulse. the last move in his moveset changes often, most of the time being a form of hidden power that patches up the weaknesses of the pack, but also has been taunt/overheat/shadow ball/sludge bomb, basically whatever is deemed useful for a mission.

he's also the one always out of the pokeball in his office, and was the main reason archer got some resemblance of sleep during the worst paranoia flare ups in the HGSS era with his fierce protecting. likewise, he was the one taking the biggest role in taking care of silver when archer was busy, always making sure to nudge him in the right direction if he tried to snoop around in wrong places and protect him against possible dangers.

“D-Disarming Voice! Now!”

The sound of Hatenna’s shout reverberated over the battlefield, painting the air in pink-tinted sound waves. Zigzagoon and Thievul teetered, stumbled, fell to the ground one after the other with soft thumps. A moment passed. Two. Bede and Hatenna took in synced, ragged breaths, the pokemon’s hair ragged and scuffed and sweat running down the trainer’s forehead. The two Team Yell members, meanwhile, bared their teeth and hissed as they returned their exhausted pokemon to their pokeballs.

“You’ve got a lot of nerve, thinkin’ you can just roll up and mess with Marnie!”

“Yeah! If you think you’re givin’ our girl that attitude, you’ve got another thing coming! Why, I oughtta…” Bede had gathered what he could of his composure and was about to offer a retort when they were interrupted by a call from behind.

“Alright, alright, that’s enough, you two!” Marnie pushed off from the wall she had been leaning on, striding casually up behind the two grunts with her Morpeko in tow. “No more gangin’ up on ‘im! I mean it!”

“M-Marnie!”

“We thought you’d gone up ahead!”

“We was just- we was just teachin’ this kid a lesson!”

“Yeah! Little man was tailin’ ya, Marns, lookin’ real suspicious… don’t think he’s here for a friendly chat, ‘s all ‘m sayin’!”

Bede ran a hand through his hair and scoffed. “That’s what you were doing, was it? Interesting. I got the impression that you could learn a thing or two from me.” He shoved a hand in his coat pocket and looked down his nose at the trio in front of him. “Or did you dunderheads already forget that I was the victor here? Really now, I hope you’ll consider honing your skills beyond that of a common youngster before you next try ‘teaching someone a lesson’.” Try as he might, however, Bede couldn’t entirely contain his fatigue. His forehead remained slick with sweat, and his shoulders sagged slightly as he attempted to catch his breath from the frantic shouting of moments before. The truth was that the battle was much closer than Bede wanted to let on- the grunts had nothing but a Zigzagoon, a Thievul, and a Purrloin, and yet Bede had been backed into a corner, whittled down to his last pokemon… how could he let this happen? His gaze flickered between his battered Hatenna, who was walking towards him to lean on her trainer’s leg, and the glimpse of a bright red dynamax band under Marnie’s sleeve. He’d been following her to claim that wishing star for himself… but could he even manage that now?

Marnie swatted at the air dismissively. “What? We judgin’ people based off appearances now? I thought that was somethin’ we were tryin’ to fight!” she cast a sidelong glance at Bede and his cocky stance, frowning. “...’n so what if he wanted to pick a fight? Don’t think I can handle m’self, do ya?”

“O-of course you can, Marnie!”

“Yeah! You’re the best of ‘em all, everybody knows that!”

“Then let me handle it, why don’t ya?!” Marnie shooed the grunts away, and they ran off with comical diligence and urgency. Bede’s eyes traced their retreat until they disappeared behind a nearby tree. Hmph. Of course they couldn’t stray too far from their precious challenger. His attention snapped back toward Marnie as she approached him, Morpeko having jumped up onto her shoulder and snuggled up to her head. "Sorry 'bout them… I'd've put a stop to that mess sooner, if I saw what they were stirrin' up. Only caught ya once the scuffle had already started, ‘n, well, figured I shouldn’t interrupt…" Marnie swung her arms at her side and smiled ever so slightly at Bede. "But that was some nice battlin'. And now the real fun can begin, aye? You wanted to challenge me?"

Bede sneered at her. His gaze flicked down to Hatenna at his feet, at her determined yet exhausted expression… she’d try battling this trainer, if Bede willed it. Although she likely wouldn’t succeed in this state. With new resolve, the psychic trainer looked up and past Marnie, as if she weren’t worth his attention. “Tch. I see no need, at this point. I’ve already wasted enough time here.” He brought his arm up and cast a glance at his gold watch, making sure it was tipped such that Marnie could see its brand and quality, to emphasize his point. “Besides, you watched my match just now, didn’t you? I think I’ve already quite handily proven my strength to you. So let’s put a pin in this challenge until the champion cup, shall we? If you manage to make it that far, that is.” Morpeko gave Bede a steely look and Marnie opened her mouth to respond, when Bede put his hand up to stop her and hissed through his teeth. “Oh, save it, won’t you? It appears I’ve got even less time to spend than I thought. A wishing star just fell over there, didn’t you see? I must be sure that I’m the one to take it. You wouldn’t understand, but I’ve got a necessary duty to uphold, afforded to me by the Chairman himself.”

“Hm? I didn’t see anythin’- …annnnn’ he’s gone.” Now alone, Marnie stood dumbfounded. After a moment, she reached up and tickled her Morpeko under the chin. “What an odd one, huh? Don’ think we should let it bother us, though. Le’s just get back to trainin’...”

So at the behest of a couple of friends, I've made this thing for what it's worth.

My name is Cooper Chevalier, and let's just get this out of the way now-- yes, I am, in fact, a Samurott. If you've heard about a Pokemon becoming a Trainer somewhere in the Johto region, that would be me. If you're wondering how or why this is even possible, then I guess I don't mind answering questions, but for now just know that the League had to make a few accommodations for me when I was first starting out and I've managed to take that all the way to the top and become one of the region's champions. Lance is still the guy running the Indigo Plateau, though--I mostly get called on to resolve issues in Kanto-Johto that he'd normally need to step away for. It's a nice little arrangement.

Anyway. I was convinced to make this by a friend in Galar, so I'm hoping this place is as good as they've made it out to be.

I'm also hoping that not having a Rotom won't bite me on the tail later... how the heck did those things become mainstream anyway--

EDIT: Saw a lot of people putting their Pokemon on these, too, and I'm finally sitting down and doing it. I could probably tell you about Shia and Pallas while I'm here but this should show up in the post they reblogged too so I can be lazy.

Anyway, here's my five mainstays-- they've been with me since near the start of my journey.

Mason (Gengar, M): Kind of a shy fella, but he's really loyal. Easily the partner I trust the most, and though I'm a bit sad to admit it, he's definitely gotten me out of a lot of sticky scenarios the painful way... I've been a lot more careful not to let that sort of thing happen since.

Sypha (Ampharos, F): Serious to a fault and speaks to the point. Proud of her power, but aware of her limits, though that doesn't mean she can't throw a mean Thunderbolt.

Juste (Togekiss, M): I raised him from an egg, and he's easily the most optimistic member of my team. He's also my ride around the two regions, usually, so props to him for carrying around a ~220 lb Samurott through the sky, ehehe...

Nora (Umbreon, F): Strong and steadfast, and fiercely devoted to her friends. She's usually serious, but she's got her playful side. Took a bit to warm up to me, though.

Katsuko (Dragonite, F): Hilariously, though I doubt she played any part in her upbringing, Katsuko is like if you took Clair's competitive spirit and put it in a dragon. Most eager to fight out of everyone, and was easily my second ace once she fully evolved.

man, apollo. my sweet lil guy. where do i even start with him? i can already tell this is gonna be a long post, i tend to get sappy when i talk about him- and how could i not? he’s been my partner pokémon for nine years of my life.

(i guess, uh.. cw for vague references to past injury to a child?)

this was taken right after i got him! the story behind him being my pick was.. untraditional, really. accidental. he wasn’t the starter torchic that was supposed to be one of my options, actually, since our local professor thought his nature being too opinionated and high-maintenance wouldn’t be optimal for a beginner Trainer- especially not me, who hadn’t even turned ten yet.

he tried to convince me to choose another, much more suitable torchic for my age back at the lab, but when he tried to pry apollo off of me, he bit the shit out of the professor’s hand and screeched his little head off! totally refused to let me go, and i really didn’t mind, so i decided on keeping him.

you’d probably assume he’s all serious and battle-focused, but he’s still just as much if not more of a cuddlebug as he was when he was a baby, just bigger, stronger, and able to hold me hostage (/j) now lol

he’s.. done a lot for me, especially during my first journey. he basically taught me how to train pokémon in the first place, since he’s always had very particular ways of doing things. i think i’ve mentioned he’s force evolved a couple of times, but i haven’t really elaborated on that yet

i’m gonna keep it vague, but after one of my Gym battles as a kid, i got super injured. at some point during the whole thing, apollo broke out of his ball. he was a combusken at the time, and he ended up force-evolving himself into blaziken early (thankfully not significantly earlier) in order to keep me alive the best way he knew how and put himself between the threat and i. the threat gave up, which is probably the smart move to make when you’re faced with a six-foot-tall fire-breathing bird pokémon who wants you dead.

all in all- apollo is the best boy, (at least to me) and he deserves the world. i try my best to give it to him every single day, but.. well, seeing that i’m human, i can’t necessarily ask him if i’m doing a good job. i can only pray to Arc that i’m giving him the best life i can give him as his trainer until somebody somewhere invents some kind of pokémon translation device :) he seems happy, though, and that’s what matters most to me. i owe him a hell of a lot.

1. What made you pick up this character?

Honestly? I'm a sucker for anything horror related. Just think of the possibilities with a character who's livelihood is working with the dead. I cannot help but think of the game "The Mortuary Assistant" where the funeral home is way more than what it seems. It keeps you on the edge of your seat.

Prior to picking up this character, my previous one on this blog belonged to a Pokemon hex maniac OC. So I kind of wanted a smooth transition between the two. I definitely would love to add some more paranormal concepts to Hu Tao's story. Have her go explore a haunted location. Or maybe she has decipher some cursed text?

I like to imagine that she is superstitious even though she pretends not to be in order to calm her client's nerves. She's strange and eccentric but even she has said she doesn't want to incite mass panic over things such as plagues and curses. I like to taking inspiration from XXXholic for this aspect.

I also like to think of Hu Tao as being like a pseudo reaper. I have a headcanon where she is actually part Seelie. She is guiding others not only to 'treasures' (her bargains) but to the promise of a peaceful crossover. I refuse to think those floral shaped irises are just a simple aesthetic choice.

A hex maniac is known to be someone who has a heavy interest in the occult. Hu Tao almost feels the same. And I would be lying that I haven't thought about adding some tarot reading to her character since that is something mun-wise that I do.

I think Hu Tao has such a unique perspective regarding life vs death. And its something I wanted to explore. Overall there is no regrets to choosing her as my first Genshin muse.

Do you think you have a type of character you gravitate towards? I KNOW I HAVE A TYPE I GRAVITATE TO! I never really knew this about myself until TOA, but I seem to gravitate towards knights the most. There is just something about the kind of devotion a knight feels, and how that alters their entire existence.

What do you believe you enjoy writing the most? I typically really enjoy getting into the gritty of things while I'm writing. Explaining emotion and action, why a character is the way they are. I find this most fun with another muse who has close connections to mine.

Favorite TOA-related memory: I think my favorite moment might be when Soji and I reconnected after 10 minutes of me being in this server. We had interacted one time in indie but she had always been on my mind because of how exceptional her writing is. Turns out she remembered me too, and now we're besties and going to cons together!
