May 3, 2022 - 813 - the Reprise Part 8.1/? KEEP CALM and "ZZH"'s new video
Masterpost here
F*ck I have so much work to do but I feel it's necessary to make a post on this.
New video posted on his hacked instagram, check it for yourself.
Zhehanzi has posted an ENG subbed version here.
Tumblr media
All right, I will activate my research scientist brain for this. Although I'm out of the field now, I was an NSF Graduate Fellow (National Science Foundation) in the US and was lucky to receive valuable and advanced training in research science (biochemistry/structural biology) in undergrad and during my PhD in a few research universities, I think it's time to use this skill, my one logical brain cell left is for this moment >:(
As background, when looking at a problem, I will lead you through the steps that researchers will ask and take in order to solve a problem. I think in these times of emergency, it's important to force yourself out of your own shoes and look at the big picture, then zoom in on the details, separate yourself from the facts at hand, ONLY then can we actually start finding out what's happening.
For example, if we want to create a new vaccine for a disease, we ask, what is the problem at hand? An example answer, there is a new infectious disease and it's causing deaths in the population. Then we ask, what is the new virus? What is it made of, what is the outer envelope or shell made of? What do we ALREADY know? We compare it to similar viruses. We try to completely understand the virus inside and outside. Then when we have full knowledge of it, can we develop a strategy to combat it, i.e. creating a vaccine (its own long steps).
Let's try it with what happened with this video today.
What is the problem?
How did it happen? Why is it important?
Why did this information come out now? Is it believable? What is the method we should use to break this down? Do we need repeat trials in duplicate, triplicate and what are the statistically significant facts?
What can we conclude and how do we move forward in future directions? Why would someone fake this?
Follow the money.
Let's begin:
1 - What is the problem?
Facts: A video was posted on ZZH's instagram featuring his likeness and vocal affectations. An english subbed video is linked above. He discusses these issues ONLY: the cp fandom, his merchandise, his journey to learning poetry and guitar, and blaming/flaming people for his current state.
Tumblr media
2 - How did it happen? Why is it important?
There were three sources of "ZZH" - the WeChat profile of ZSJ (now gone), Li XueZheng Uncle Li (his weibo is now deleted), and this hacked instagram account.
The video was uploaded to his known-to be hacked instagram. We can glean that this instagram is hacked because of QuelleVous2 and various videos debunking each and every new post on his instagram. I, myself, have also made a post debunking the ZSJ (Zhang Sanjian) video that accidentally showed a portion of the guitarist's face/chin - this was posted on the ZSJ WeChat profile that is now deleted.
We know that ZZH's instagram was hacked because Xie Yihua, his ex music manager in 2021's son, Abner, liked to talk up his connections to famous people back then. He made a post saying that many people have access to ZZH's account, and the phone number linked to it isn't even ZZH's phone number. He didn't realize that people would be going through all his comments and posts to find out what he's said.
This is important because he has an ongoing legal case against CAPA. Anything that affects his image will affect public perception, will affect government perception, will thus AFFECT HIS CASE.
3 - Why did this information come out now? Is it believable?
Timing: Today is the fandom's happiest day, the anniversary of the Word of Honor / Shan He Ling concerts. It's also CPF's happiest days. The timing of this video is in itself, suspicious. Why post it today of all days? I have two answers: 1) To have maximum impact against ZZH/GJ's fandom and break CPF's hearts. 2) In having this maximum impact, it was either HIS OWN intention to do so, OR whoever orchestrated this video's intention to use their strongest weapon against us, and therefore, HIM.
Is it believable?
Deep Fakes exist. It uses computational AI to calculate and map out a person's facial features, and in doing so can manipulate those features into different expressions. AI is trained to do this by just going through large databases of human faces and expressions and slowly forms an algorithm that the user can manipulate. One can also do this with voices. Look at this famous deep fake of Tom cruise. I'm NOT saying it's a deep fake, because with sufficient technology, it's hard to actually TELL that it's a deep fake, it's just ONE possibility.
youtube
2. Another example of someone using deep fake technology to play around with ZZH's face on a woman's body lol
Tumblr media
3i - What method should we use to break this down?
So the next question is, is the video authentic?
First, it could be a deep fake (like above).
Second, since sometimes we can't even believe our own eyes and ears in today's world of advanced technology, I have to rely on what I KNOW from previous years. Compare the data to known data sets, known circumstances.
Facts we know: From LXZ's audio interview, ZZH is very focused on gaining back his name and reputation and his fight against CAPA. This instagram video, however, mentions NOTHING about his case against CAPA. Which we know, for a FACT, that he's filing with the Beijing Police Department against CAPA. Uncle Li showed this. Who could possibly benefit from distracting us, the public, and fandom from CAPA SO MUCH? HM? WHO.
3ii - ZZH's vocal affectations are free-style, but not in this new video.
Also in this audio interview, and previous interviews if you've watched his, ZZH tends to make very deep statements in REAL time. So he's often just freethinking and word vomitting and sometimes it doesn't make sense. lol. He says "uh", "um", "and," a lot. Compared to the instagram video, that insta video is definitely scripted. He's very smooth here and it's like practiced lines, which is against his character to do so.
Just listen to his birthday live stream and compare it to the new insta video, it sounds noticeably different, you don't even need to know mandarin??
youtube
Compare ZZH's audio interview with LXZ vs this new video, notice the difference? This is also AFTER the trauma of 813. Why would there be such a marked difference between when Uncle Li posted the video and now?
youtube
ZZH himself said in interviews for SHL/WOH that he rarely read his lines before the day of filming, he liked to read them right before or the morning of so he could really get the feeling of what he's saying and not wear it out.
Conclusion so far: This "ZZH" is different from what we know. He's distracting from his own legal case. His speaking cadence is different. He's reading off of a script. It DOESN'T mean that it isn't him, but it casts a lot of doubt on the circumstances of this video, doesn't it?
What else do we know about ZZH? He hates making fans spend money on shit that's out of their comfort zones. He's apologized to fans for his albums costing them money. THIS IS ZZH. In this video, this "ZZH" is peddling his new merch, which is notoriously overpriced and costs a few bucks to make, but is charging like 10x the cost. It's also PROVEN TO BE REUSED DESIGNS from other idols that Xie Yihua has managed.
3iii - Xie Yihua's history: She's been known to have many failed/de-registered trademarks. She's been involved in a company with CAPA's president, and she's lost a lot of money and may be in bigtime debt $$$.
Tumblr media
Why would a person who is in massive debt want to suddenly start shilling merch for a cancelled idol? And that idol couldn't speak up or else it would jeopardize his legal case? And the fans are so desperate for his safety and well-being that they'd be fooled into purchasing these outlandishly priced items? Is this not too convenient a case for her to pass up? Free money to pay back her debts? It's certainly a possibility.
In most scandals, most cases, as you would know if you've lived in this world long enough, all you have to do is follow the money.
Follow the money: Let's not FORGET that Xie Yihua and her sister own 100% shares of the company that sells this "ZZH" / "ZSJ" merchandise. THIS IS A FACT. It's public information and listed, check QV's tweets for it. I don't have time to go find it rn. SO, if Xie Yihua is so indebt and attached to CAPA, is it not in her interest to distract us SO BADLY that ppl stop caring about CAPA? That ZZH truly loses his fans for good? That she can use him to make a quick buck to pay off her loan sharks and debtors? IT absolutely is. Always follow the money.
IF IT WERE TRULY HIM, why wouldn't this company be registered under ZZH or his mom? He's said so in interviews that he doesn't even look at his own bank account bc his mom handles all of that. He owes his mom so much, she gave up their house, her job, her life to make sure he succeeded as an actor. Of course he would give her and trust her with his money. It's not even illogical to make this leap, it's just fact?
Other items from this instagram have been debunked:
The handwritten letter was already debunked bc the handwriting style is different, the signature is TOTALLY different, the thumb is photoshopped, the shadows are unnatural. And this video mentions the fake letter as being real, so does it not cast doubt on the authenticity of the video itself? That it tries to make a fake letter real? Then what does it mean? The video itself seems fake, then. Just by the transitive property. A=B, B=C, therefore A=C. The letter is fake, so the account is fake. If the account is fake, the video is fake.
The guitar and phone-drop video was debunked by a sound engineer, and several other people lol.
The photoshoots were probably older and already been debunked. His necklace seemed to be photoshopped on because you could see the reflections in it that didn't reflect the buildings of the Forbidden City. His earrings were probably for promoting Ambush, could've been an endorsement that didn't go through. Also on Bluebirdmuppet's twitter or QV's, go check it.
3 iv - ZZH's character as we know it is different from what this video shows
In an unofficially published set of interviews, ZZH talked about his motivations as an actor and career goals. It was pre-813, last year. He talks about having responsibility to criticism, to shaking off the bad feedback, to focus on moving forward.
Tumblr media
This ZZH is consistent with the LXZ Zhang Zhehan. He takes all the hits on the chin, he picks himself back up, he believes in procedural justice, he takes things slowly, and life slowly. He doesn't jeopardize his own case even when his whole world was shutting down in 813. SO why speak up now? He wouldn't. The timing is for MAXIMUM hurt for us, the CPF's. The fandom that Xie Yihua has been trying to break up. The fandom who loves Gong Jun, who Xie Yihua hates, and has been actively goading her ZSJ stans to attack. The Gong Jun who has had to endure cyberviolence the past couple of weeks, who had his private information leaked.
ZZH's character isn't one to point and blame, if he doesn't like you, he just won't listen to you, but he won't call you out on it. He's said so, if the fans want him to do something, he won't listen, he just does whatever and if you like it, you like it, he's not gonna go after you for it. He's a grown man who has real shit to deal with? Not fandom disputes all the time.
3v - Do we need repeated trials of his character? How do we compare this version with previous? How many instances do we need?
If you can't trust your eyes and ears, and you need more information, rely on information that's already been confirmed. On facts that are already out there. In science, if a new virus emerges, we immediately compare it to what we know, what DNA/RNA sequences does it have in common with other viruses? What protein structures? What infection mechanism is it using that's similar? This will guide us on how to analyze the new virus. It's the same here.
We know ZZH wouldn't goad his fans into fighting, wouldn't sell his merchandise vs getting on with his own legal case, wouldn't speak from a script instead of from the heart. These are valid conclusions based on his previous actions, interviews, interactions, and observations of personality. There are HUNDREDS if not thousands of instances that we can compare this ONE video from a DEBUNKED instagram account to. That's how many trials we have, how many repeated observations we've made.
This video is statistically insignificant compared to the literally boundless endless piles of evidence we have that this isn't "ZZH" as we know him.
4 - So then what? What can we conclude? How do we move forward?
So now that we've established the facts:
Follow the money: Xie Yihua is involved in many failed companies and trademarks, and may be in debt enough to manipulate an easy target (ZZH) and milking him and his fans out of their $$$. Why wouldn't his ZSJ merchandise be registered under him and his mother? And why do all proceeds go towards Xie Yihua and her sister?
ZZH's voice and vocal affectations are different from this instagram video, which may mean the video is scripted
ZZH's personality is calm and chill, even after 813 as shown during LXZ's audio interview with him about his case against CAPA
This new ZZH's personality is markedly different: cold, and harsh, and pointed. Especially at CP fans.
Deep fakes exist. It can mimic both faces and voices and bodies.
So the answer to, "Is this video authentic?" can be
1) No, it's not because of all the previous evidence listed above.
OR 2) Yes, it is, and he's being coerced into saying these things as we know how shadowy and corrupt c-ent actually is. His face does not look okay. He doesn't look healthy and happy.
OR 3) Yes, it is real, and he's a changed person, which is a conclusion that is easy to make at first glance, but does not benefit him AT ALL. It only serves to break up his fandoms, drain him of his support in the public eye, and distracts from his case against CAPA.
Point 1 is what I believe. Point 2 is possible. Point 3 is what I believe Xie Yihua and the minions behind the instagram account want us to believe. Point 3 easily knocks out all of her problems, doesn't it?
No one would be around to debunk her shit bc mostly CPF's do it or people who like both GJ and ZZH as individuals like QV/Blue. This shitshow will take over weibo and cause public opinion to turn back, after the leader of the justice for the people movement - Uncle Li - was deleted. It will cause a distraction against the real ZZH's legal case against CAPA. AND CAPA will be let off the hook because no one will be around to care anymore. See? In what way would point 3 make sense? He's actively advocating for his own social and legal suicide? No.
So how to move forward? The journey is the same. I still support him and his case to clear his name. I still support THEM and their love, which after hundreds if not thousands of interactions and so-called "candies" have already proven. This one video is NOT enough evidence to debunk thousands of things, although it may be the MOST emotionally provocative - as it is its intention to be.
Now I have to go do actual work now, I thank you for reading this far and hanging in there. Wait for the next days. I will update as I see fit.
Hold onto your rational brain cells, everyone

This is one of my favourite moments from the concert. GJ looking at ZZH when he sings "is that our light" and ZZH quickly looking away when the crowd starts cooing 😂

08-27 Zhang Sanjian/Scam Gang Recent Events Space
This was a Twitter space held to review recent events with the scam gang and Zhang Sanjian, as well as to address topic about fandom culture and likely reasons why Zhang Zhehan’s case is taking longer than many would hope. Notes are organized by topic, then by order presented in the space. [Recording]
KL concert and review of the Bangkok concerts
Another Zhang Sanjian concert is going to be held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on September 17th. The previous concerts were held in Bangkok on May 10th and 11th.
Things seem to be operating fairly similarly as with the Bangkok concerts, though whalers are not rushing to buy tickets the way they were last time.
Tickets went on sale yesterday (08-26); ticket release seems to be similar, ie. not all tickets—including VVIP and the front few rows—are currently available. With the Bangkok concert, these held back tickets were partially due to the tour packages they were selling. I (the note taker) am not aware at this time of any similar tour packages with the KL concert, and none was mentioned in the space.
Quite a few of these held tickets for the Bangkok concerts were only released generally a week in advance. Part of this was because Xie Yihua had been working with scalpers who were trying (with little success) to sell them at roughly twice the original price. Flora and MB talked to one scalper separately who offered them both the exact same ticket for the Bangkok concerts that was being sold by another scalper, and blatantly lied about his own location.
Chinese citizens are able to get a travel visa at the airport when traveling to Bangkok, meaning that the short notice (announcement less than one month prior to the date) was less of an issue. The same is not true for Malaysia, visas have to be obtained in advance and tend to take a couple weeks.
The VVIP tickets included a backstage meet and greet after the show. With these, fans were not allowed to take photos themselves but were sent the photos by Zhang Sanjian’s team. These photos took weeks to arrive (likely due to the amount of editing done to the photos) and were quite low quality.
Zhang Sanjian was quite physical with fans during these meet and greets, with photos including his arm around their waists and fans reporting hugging him. This is completely inconsistent with Zhang Zhehan’s behaviour—the only time he would ever initiate contact was with children (and some fans would specifically bring his children for that reason lol.)
The tour group for the Bangkok concerts had not been in operations for quite a while prior but suddenly came back, did not seem to have any proper registration, and was run by someone with a gambling addiction who had had a number of complaints against him about him and his company scamming people, as well as employees reporting not being paid. Whalers who went on the tours admitted to being afraid to talk about it because of the amount of personal information they had given, but some who spoke said that they were not picked up from the airport and were taken to a place very out the way. Some of these whalers returned early (implied to be by their own choice.)
A direct business partner of CAPA is the producer for both the KL and Bangkok concerts. If, hypothetically, Zhang Zhehan caved and agreed to work with CAPA, why would they be doing these international concerts rather than rescinding their blacklist against him so he could work in China where it would be much more profitable?
Before the Bangkok concert, a number of bought articles in oversees publications were published, always saying that Zhang Zhehan had gone to the shrine without any clarifications about those allegations being false. This is the exact opposite of what any logical PR would do. The information for these articles and the similar radio blurbs given with the fake songs have been provided directly by Zhang Sanjian’s team.
Paid PR articles can be 100% made up. Sheena talked about a friend of hers who was hired to do a PR piece for a member of BlackPink and wrote the entire thing, questions and answers, herself, with the manager only reviewing it before publication.
Whalers have repeatedly reposted the various articles about Zhang Sanjian, blatantly blurring out the lines repeating the slander about Yasukuni and/or omitting it completely from their translations.
(A reminder to seek out information and confirmation yourself. Keep in mind that it is very easy for your own views to be manipulated by translators if you do not speak/read Chinese.)
The venue for the Bangkok concert was designed for conventions, not concerts, ie. there was no raised seating. It wouldn’t be surprising if this was done specifically so that people further back would only be able to see the screens rather than Zhang Sanjian himself.
Ticket prices for the concerts are ridiculously expensive, more than you would pay for even many A-list artists. One Malaysian tabloid paper ran an article talking about how expensive the tickets are, again including mention of Yasukuni with no clarifications. Comments underneath the Facebook post for it were filled with passersby questioning why someone they had never heard of was charging so much.
Money laundering
The article Flora translated on money laundering in c-ent
Basic economics: prices are set based on supply and demand.
Whoever is putting on the Zhang Sanjian concert clearly works in the industry, yet is charging enormously inflated prices. This makes no sense if the goal is actually to sell a large amount of tickets.
The main idea behind laundering is that you create opportunities to falsify and inflate sales records. The Bangkok concerts were clearly not sold out despite claiming to be.
The production for the concerts is not high: these are small cheap venues, there are no opening acts, etc. Another part of laundering is to claim that production costs were higher than they really were.
When your goal is money laundering, it doesn’t matter if you actually make money or not. Your aim is only to create records for the movement of money, preferably as large an amount as possible.
Thailand and Malaysia have looser regulations for moving money than China.
Changing currency is another way to make it easier to falsify records, as is the case if you are holding concerts internationally.
This is very serious. Corruption of high enough financial levels can receive a death sentence in China, and it’s not uncommon for whistleblowers of money laundering to be murdered. This is another potential reason for Zhang Zhehan to not speak out against the scam.
[my post of collected info about the Bangkok concerts]
The Chens
The Chen family in particular are really not smart about how they’ve been doing their sketchy business, given that they’ve been opening dozens of companies in their own names and the names of their relatives.
Flora suspects that the shell companies are more likely for tax evasion than money laundering. Their product releases have been tracked to see which company is responsible for each, and every clothing release is under a different one. This is likely to avoid hitting a higher tax bracket, and is literally the most obvious form of tax evasion.
The tea shop has been fined for other things (ex. unsafe food production, false advertising, etc.). These are pressing safety issues, unlike tax evasion.
It’s quite likely that the government IS aware of the Chens’ activity but that they aren’t a big enough concern yet. The longer someone is allowed to get away with something, the more bold they become, which is apparent in the Chens’ behaviour. Letting them get away with it now means that the authorities should be able to book them on heavier charges later.
To reiterate for the millionth time: Zhang Zhehan’s name is not on any of the paperwork for any of the Chens’ companies. The HZ Baobao brand is owned by Chen Ahyi’s boyfriend’s son and his wife, how is it there is any realistic connection there with Zhang Zhehan?
The main motive for the Chens’ involvement with the scam seems to be the money they are able to leech off of fans.
C-Ent politics
The unfortunate reality is that CAPA is very powerful in c-ent. For the people whose livelihoods depend on being in the industry, they have little choice but to cooperate. Xiao Chu, the screenwriter for Word of Honor, is likely an example of this—notice that she has not had any more projects despite the popularity of Word of Honor.
It’s important to remember that c-ent is a very different environment than what westerners might be used to. Keep in mind that, while we are international fans, we are in a Chinese fandom and need to try to understand how the significance of own behaviour might differ from in western fandoms.
Artists in c-ent have little independence and control over their careers, that power is held much more heavily by the companies holding their contracts.
Fandom is also VERY manipulated by capital. Planted fans are extremely prevalent for the purpose of increasing sales and traffic. Fan culture and endorsements are much more for important—a celebrity’s success hinges heavily on how they do in endorsements, not just their own projects.
Toxicity in fandom often is created and/or manipulated by a celebrity’s own company for the sake of increasing traffic. The celebrity might or might not be aware/involved in this—Gong Jun’s studio has done this.
Buying fans (ie. plants) or otherwise artificially inflating traffic (ex. water armies) is extremely common in order to create the appearance of popularity. Nearly every current big whaler has been found to be a plant, and some of the real big whalers were intentionally driven away early on, likely because the scam wanted to make sure they could control the fandom.
If you see a “big fan” loudly saying they’re leaving a fandom, often they were a hired fan and their contract is almost up. With Zhang Zhehan “fans”, notice that there is an uptick in these sorts of posts around August.
Virginia and Yajing
Virginia worked for Pulin, Zhao Wei’s company. When Zhang Zhehan worked for them, she seems to have sometimes accompanied him. She closely follows the Zhang Sanjian accounts and it is known that she’s involved in the scam.
When Zhang Zhehan lost access to his Instagram account for a while, Virginia was the one he thanked after getting it back (2020). It’s not known exactly what she did. The phone number the account is registered under is not Zhang Zhehan’s. The account was created for him while he was working under Yu Zheng, so it’s suspected that Virginia put him in contact with the person in possession of that phone number. The phone number was not changed.
Yajing is a livestream host who did a number of livestreams with Zhang Zhehan and Gong Jun after Word of Honor’s success. She’s quite popular for having a non-threatening motherly vibe, and a fair bit of candy came from her livestreams with them.
In July 2022, Yajing posted a photo of herself wearing the EHz.Z slippers, then deleted it shortly afterwards because she lost a huge amount of followers. She has not said anything else related to this since. At the time people questioned if she posted it in ignorance, however, it is now known that she and Virginia follow each other online and have worked together multiple times in the past, including with stage productions funded by CAPA.
This again comes back to the topic of how powerful CAPA is. It might not be that Yajing and many of these other people have any malicious intent or ill will towards Zhang Zhehan personally, but they’re in a position where if they don’t stay in line with what CAPA wants, they could lose their entire careers. How many people would be willing to do that for someone they only worked with a few times? That doesn’t excuse their actions of course, but it does explain them.
Legal matters
People involved in legal cases (including jury) are advised to maintain Internet silence. This gained more public awareness recently due to a case of a woman whose daughter was killed oversees trying to seek justice, who was advised not to speak despite being slandered heavily by the accused. Kris Wu’s victims are another example of this. Speaking online easily complicates your case, sways public opinion, and muddies the story that you want to tell in court.
A major aspect of defamation cases are what the damages of the defamation were. Zhang Sanjian’s activities are a way of trying to sway public opinion into thinking he sustained less damage than he really did.
With that being said, have faith in the Chinese legal system—as stated above, the online culture is very extreme, but the courts are aware of this. As well, Chinese people culturally place a lot less significance on what happens outside of China (ie. the concerts and aforementioned articles.)
It’s important to keep in mind everything that has been discussed above about how corrupt c-ent is and how many different things are at play in the background. While on the surface Zhang Zhehan’s case seems like it should be open and shut, there are a lot more factors at play that complicate and prolong the legal process. What Zhang Zhehan is doing is extremely brave given the circumstances, and it’s obvious that he has not caved despite indications of them giving him opportunities to do so.
Misc.
A CPF was able to train AI within a day to change her voice—feminine and with a Northern Chinese accent—to Zhang Zhehan’s in real time, with the only significant noticeable difference being some of the Northern speech habits.
Ranyi Music was created in June 2021, before 813. One of the shareholders is one of the Chen Ahyis. She recently created a subsidiary company where Zhang Mama is listed as one of the executives. When creating a subsidiary, everything can be done remotely electronically, so likely all they would have needed to do was fake her signature. It is also known that they have a copy of Zhang Mama’s ID (as well as Zhang Zhehan’s and possibly Xiao Yu’s. This would be because the Chens were helping with things such as travel bookings prior to 813.)
The various online accounts of Ranyi Music were accounts repurposed from ones previously run by other companies (ex. the Weibo was for a company run by Xie Yihua’s brother.) Just because a social media company says it’s related to Ranyi doesn’t mean it’s actually registered to them.
Zhao Wei (Zhang Zhehan’s former boss)’s Instagram recently updated for the first time in a while. Flora et al. do not have enough information to speculate about this at this time; there is not currently reason to believe she’s involved in the scam. Some background: Zhao Wei’s husband is well known to be part of the Chinese mafia, and she has a number of connections to many other very wealthy people in China. Both she and her husband have been in legal trouble in the past, including at one point shortly after 813.
It’s hilariously obvious that the scam has been regretting trying to cut out CPFs via the divorce video (22-05-04): there was recently a fan group created for JunJian shippers, the Instagram post that used the 😺🐶 emojis, the concert video that showed Zhang Sanjian interacting with someone in an orange hat, etc. They’re very obviously trying harder to appeal to CPFs, likely because they’ve squeezed solo whalers dry.
Xie Yihua recently posted some photos from Tibet when she supposedly was traveling there with Zhang Sanjian and captioned it “Find Our Voice.” She quickly took it down because of how much whalers came after her for it, ie. they don’t like her “trying to leech attention off him” because they refuse to acknowledge that he’s a fake character created by her.
Whalers proudly talk about how they don’t go back and look at Zhang Zhehan’s old material anymore because of Zhang Sanjian’s narrative of “wanting to forget the past,” seemingly with no awareness of how obvious it is that that’s a ploy to make them not see how different Zhang Sanjian is from Zhang Zhehan.
Candy to lighten the mood
A reminder that during the Friendship Institute interview, Gong Jun said that he thought Zhang Zhehan had a cat, and Zhang Zhehan corrected him by saying “I also have a dog.” (Timestamped in the link.) Fans were confused about this because Zhang Zhehan is not known to have a cat. It has been found out that Zhang Zhehan used to foster stray cats. Specifically, it was discovered that he once took in a stray kitten that he posted pictures of in his WeChat friends circle, which is presumably what Gong Jun was referring to. Supposedly, this is the same kitten that Don’t Want to Be Anonymous posted pictures of. (Below, thank you to Harry for sharing these with me.) Given that some people in the scam gang were in Zhang Zhehan’s friend circle, this is not evidence supporting Anon—only that Anon at the least was someone who had access to his circle.
On the topic of Anon, it’s been noticed that Gong Jun has been posting scenery photos much more often since that account was shut down. Anon’s IP also always stayed consistent with Gong Jun’s location.
It’s worth noting that in the time that it was active, Anon never posted anything harmful, ie. unless it comes back and does something, there’s no harm in believing in it (with a grain of salt.) ❤️

I am sick of people questioning zzh and thinking that the ig video posted recently is a deepfake , I don't understand why do so many educated, grown up people question a victim like him who has already suffered through so much.
Why would Ms. Xie Yihua do so much when she only has 12 percent shares in the ehz.z brand and rest of it the shares are owned by Aunt Chen ( who I believe is Zzh's mum's sister , I don't accurately remember, please correct me if I am wrong).
They never even talked about Kele wearing ehzz merchandise, they ignore so many proofs and then call us idiots and delusional ?
What problem do these people even have with zzh ? Are they his fans or simply antis and why do they pretend so much to be his fans when they can't even support him through thick and thin?
I feel like nobody is listening to us and nobody cares about zzh 'finding his own voice'
They say questioning his ig account is right because so many misinformation is present these days, but these people themselves spread half the information which only suits up their schemes and narratives.
With "fans" like these, who needs antis? 😥
Putting aside the completely insane tinhat narratives that the video is a deepfake or that it's a hostage situation or actually someone who got plastic surgery to look like Zhehan (I mean, seriously guys?? What kind of sick fantasy world are they living in), there are real-people shippers saying that they're disappointed in him if the video is real because "the Zhang Zhehan I know would never badmouth a colleague". They honestly expect him to keep quiet when people are tagging his mum in messages saying that they hope she dies soon for "stopping her son and gong jun from being together"?
The facts are:
1. He is trying to get back on his feet with a new designer clothing brand named Ehz.z (mirrored, it is zzh3, with 3 being his favourite number because of his basketball idol Wade).
2. Aunty Chen who helps out with the running of his mother's tea shop is either his mother's cousin or best friend (hard to tell because either way his mum calls her sister). His mum mentions her often in her own blog, and Aunty Chen has been there for them through Zhehan's parents' divorce, etc.
3. It is common to spread out the registration of assets to family friends in China, especially when Zhehan's situation is such that he's blocked from using his own name to even register a taobao account!
There is plenty of evidence that the teashop and his clothing brand belong to him and his mum, from reliable sources, including public records, photos shared by his mother's tea shop's official account, his best friend Zhang Su, his blog, his mother's blog, and from the man himself, in his video on Instagram. Those who don't want to believe or don't want other people to believe that this really is what Zhehan is saying, have tried to discredit the teashop, Aunty Chen, Zhang Su, Ms Xie (his ex-music manager). And I think the question people should really be asking is, why are these big accounts hellbent on trying to lead the opinion that Zhehan's friends and family are trying to hurt him, and insisting on "only trusting Gong Jun" (a colleague he worked with for a few months and has had zero contact after), when clearly Gong Jun continues to reap monetary benefits from pretending that he is associated with Zhehan.

813 - The Reprise - Part 9 - One Year onward and how 813 never stopped, + muting of CAPA clowns
Masterpost here
Long time no post! I'm much more active on my twitter, I mostly retweet updates on 813/JunZhe / my art and fan creations if you're wondering where I am.
So it's been one year since August 13, 2021, the day that ZZH was cancelled / bullied off the face of Chinese Entertainment.
Table of Contents:
813 never ended - a one year summary adding context as well as relating it to Zhang Sanjian / ZSJ, a weapon in CAPA's arsenal against Zhang Zhehan.
CAPA clowns muted on August 12, 2022.
Below is my thread from twitter, but with links and sources.
1. 813 never ended, and ZSJ proves that.
You may have thought that 813 ended with ZZH’s cancellation, but it never stopped. The big picture: the IG/ZSJ scandal is part of a corrupt industry-coordinated effort to effectively erase ZZH’s presence from entertainment, for good.
Since the airing of SHL/WOH and ZZH’s subsequent rise into fame, he had to endure many harsh rumors generated by malicious people planted in fandom or on the periphery. If you’ve followed QV/Blue/Flora’s posts recently, more and more people are being identified, who came out of the woodwork to contribute to these false rumors. I.e, the GF rumor on the boat that ZZH was on. There are many groups of individuals with connections to each other and to CAPA, i.e. the teashop / the Chens, Weibo Antis, Xie Yihua and co., and the Shenzhen Gang.
Flora's character sheet keeps track of all the characters here and she also keeps an updated map of how everyone is related (as of 21/08/08), from CAPA execs to the tea shop to the ehzz ZSJ brand.
Tumblr media
Leading to July of 2021, the rumors became more and more vicious, attacking ZZH’s credibility as a graduate of Shanghai Theatre Academy, attacking his character, etc.
And it culminated in the industry-wide ban on August 13= “813”. Within 2 days, he and his 10 years of work were erased from Chinese entertainment.
Even during these tumultuous times, when long-time HaiZhe/ZZH solo fans told everyone to quiet down and let it blow over lest fandom makes it worse for him, some planted fans/antis in the fandom tried to stir the pot even more. (revealed recently by QV and co).
On November 23, CAPA released a ban list of 88 names including Kris Wu (a known star who broke the law) and Zhang Zhehan. It was later revealed that the meeting that decided these names was over in an hour and barely had any oversight or transparency.
Bc CAPA wasn’t transparent in how they came up with this industry-ban list, Director Li Xuezheng (Uncle Li/LXZ) stood up and started a movement of accountability. One hashtag on Weibo that I followed was “justice for the people,” which reached BILLIONS of interactions, and never once did it make it onto hot search. Weibo itself was in a fight behind the scenes between different parties, constantly muting and unmuting, deleting and restoring Uncle Li’s daily updates and videos, as well as his audio interview with ZZH himself.
(Update Aug 8, 2022) QV came out with information: The reason that Uncle Li couldn't get ZZH's case onto the hot search was because of the Chinese Cyberspace Admin (CAC). This gov org prevented them from reaching hot search in order to prevent CAPA from unleashing its 800 yxh accounts to smear Uncle Li and company. They were investigating water armies at the time.
They really wanted to get on Hot Search, they were planning to smear LXZ as someone who was trying to whitewash history. They had articles planned, water armies readied as well as "fans" and "righteous passerbys" prepared to stoke sentiments.
There are many parties still fighting behind the scenes that we are not privy to(#QuestionCAPA). It may seem like ZZH is quiet but it’s a strategic silence until his case is ready to be made public. Otherwise, it’s still ongoing and private.
Uncle Li had major success in turning the tide of public opinion, and ZZH finally submitted an official police report to the Beijing PD on Dec 24, 2021. His recorded interview with LXZ and other party members and lawyers was released on Dec 31, 2021.
ZZH maintained his innocence. There was no evidence of him committing wrongdoing, and he submitted himself to court. March 18, a leaked audio of ZH expressed how he has the will to fight for his name, his family, and his innocence despite the barrage of corrupt industry bans.
Now cue ZSJ👻 Because ZZH’s fandom was largely intact, the agents of CAPA behind 813 wanted to thoroughly destroy his chance of ever coming back + destroy his reputation via stealing his Instagram, which fueled the ZSJ scandals.
Jan 13- Uncle Li was muted
Jan 16- The ZSJ account emerged. (Check Ennis's ZSJ timeline)
This is not a coincidence, the perpetrators knew LXZ will be muted and prepared their Second Act, the ZSJ scandal to destroy ZZH. And so we have the constant infighting between ZSJ fans, ZZH fans, and CP fans. Have you noticed how toxic ZSJ fans are now? And on twitter, they keep trying to stir up trouble with us, hijacking our hashtags, etc.
It created a RIFT within ZZH’s main fandom. Looking at it with this big picture, can you see that this is all one WHOLE campaign against ZZH? Because they failed to destroy him completely on 813, they planned their Second Act with ZSJ to finish the job.
This is where things stand, the ZSJ accounts shill merch using commonly available apps/tech to impersonate ZZH. They have him talking sh-t about his former co-stars (never by name), burning his bridges. A professional would never do this if they wanted a chance at jobs again.
Through all of this, the characters never once mention "Gong Jun" or "Zhang Zhehan" and never claim to be them. Just to "hint" at them. Why? So their impersonation scandal can't be easily traced back to them, they have the defense of vague words, ambiguous names.
Gong Jun is suffering a constant barrage of anti attacks also related to CAPA and associates (as revealed day by day by Blue/Flora/QV). I'm sure he has been preparing for this eventuality since 813 last year, so I believe in his and his team to keep him safe.
813 never ended. It is CRUCIAL context to ZSJ and ZZH’s silence. Let’s wait. Believe that the real ZZH is who he always was: a strong, loving man who focuses on the kindness surrounding him rather than burning those who wronged him.
2. Many CAPA / Xie Yihua etc Minions were muted yesterday (Aug 11-12, 2022)
Many CAPA clowns' accounts were muted yesterday, right before 813. It is unknown if it was the government doing this, or if it's just another part of CAPA's scheme, only time will tell.
The EHZZ Brand account was wiped out (still there though) on Weibo.
Tumblr media
CAPA minions like Tony Peng, Sanke, intern lawyer, have all been muted.
Tumblr media
I have cautious optimism that this is a sign of better things to come, but only time will tell!

I want so much to believe that the Insta account is fake and the accusations against GJ are just untrue. More videos keep coming out and the path of least resistance would be to believe he’s really back, right? It seems like so many hoops to debunk every new video. But it would break my heart if GJ was really so cruel, both in the attacks orchestrated and in continuing to drop candy. (Has that slowed down since ZZH has been ostensibly speaking again? And what did Zhang Su do?) Help! Please!
Part 8.3/? - 813 the Reprise - Deepfake Video 2
masterpost here
I think objective truth doesn't care what people want. It's always going to be true. The path of least resistance is following known facts and letting that guide you, not emotion.
Objectively, we have 10+ years of how ZZH acts as a person. He's forthright, blunt, honest, and righteous. He doesn't shit talk anyone. Objectively, he's open to dating men and women (from at least 2 previous interviews). Even after he perma-damaged his knee, he didn't shit talk his previous company for forcing him to work so much that it pushed him past the edge. After fans and antis harangued and harassed him, he went to the hospital and posted a quote saying that "If it's in your nature to hurt me, It's in mine to forgive." with a picture of his arm with an IV.
These are all objective facts. They all show the pattern that he's a good guy, and takes all the hits on the chin. Even when he lost everything, he just found another thing and had fun, barely even talked about it (i.e. his knee and found golf).
Also it's not really jumping through hoops, is it? It's really simple to pay attention to the facts. I'll do you a favor and guide you.
I've written a whole post on this before and how all videos of this nature are probably fake, and why.
2. I've made a new post quickly debunking this new video for FUN. Because it's unnecessary to debunk it anymore. EVERYTHING from that instagram is automatically suspicious; why? Because everything from it has already been debunked. Thus, if even ONE thing is proven to be fake/falsified, then all of it and all of the future posts should be too. Think about it. If it was Xie Yihua running that IG, and she posts a bunch of fake things (we all proved it to be), why would the next thing be real all of a sudden? It doesn't make sense.
^(Note all the blurs and flickering that happens at the line between the cap and his brow. It took me 30 seconds to see it lol. There's blurring all over the seams along his face, which is 100% indicative of a poorly done deepfake.)
3. It doesn't make sense that GJ would associate himself with ZZH at all.
Let's be honest. ZZH is persona non grata. Branded a traitor to China. We, as steadfast fans, know that CAPA and the industry framed him, yes. But the rest of the public? They don't care. The rest of the public is who GJ is aiming his ads at. So what will theyl see?
>> GJ actively using CP elements from his time with ZZH, a traitor to their country, which would actively HURT his image. So why would he do it? It hurts his image, it doesn't help his sales per say. He has nothing to gain, so it's unlikely that he's doing it out of malice.
This is where anyone can guess why, and I say it's to save ZZH's fandom. The CP fandom was the largest, most productive $$$ fandom for them. It was larger than their solo fandoms. lol. And if GJ can keep reminding us that he's still around, and ZZH is still around, it's more likely to keep ZZH's fans around for when ZZH makes his comeback.
4. GJ hasn't attacked ZZH at all, the anti's and water armies that Xie Yihua hires want you to think that though. But he has no power in the industry. He's a newcomer that had 1 successful drama and a few endorsements, but not enough power nor will he gain any power from attacking a fellow actor. Would you publicly attack a former co-worker or boss? Do you understand how bad that makes you look to the rest of the industry? You have to find jobs later, you know, you cannot burn bridges.
So that's actually Xie Yihua's game. She and whoever is pulling her strings (we know she's just an incompetent puppet of a bigger player, i.e. CAPA and associates), are actively creating false and misleading content and implying it comes from ZZH, and burning all his bridges. He looks BAD, but with a little bit of paying attention and critical thinking, we debunked all of her attempts to further slander him and smear his image. The damage is done, don't add more fuel to the fire by believing in the really obvious lies. They're FULL of inconsistencies.
5. Zhang Su (or Susu), was a childhood best friend of ZZH. However, since he started livestreaming years ago, we as fans actually don't know their real relationship. If they've fallen out, or if ZZH cut him out from his life, or anything.
The only thing we know for sure is Zhang Su wore one of Xie Yihua's hats that she peddles under the guise of ZZH's new brand. which BY THE WAY, IS 100% owned by XYH and her sister. It's public information. WHICH IS WEIRD, because she's not his manager and never was. She only worked with him for a short period last year to help choose his concert venue and then a second time for his own concert in August 2021 (before 813). She actually got FIRED in June 2021 (this was revealed by QV during a recent livestream).
Some speculate that Zhang Su has more nefarious connections to XYH. He was known to go to the design school that XYH's sister(?) goes to. So there may be a connection there, too.
In Summary:
Everything from that Instagram is sus, and videos are deepfakes
The new video is more haphazardly done and I posted a debunk in 5 minutes
GJ has no incentive to attack ZZH, and only uses his ability to keep ZZH's fandoms alive for his return
Zhang Su may be in cahoots with Xie Yihua
This is the path of least resistance. The path that uses the most facts and is the most consistent. I would use the same reasoning when solving or trouble-shooting my science research. I don't suddenly think the universe is cruel when my experiment goes off the rails lol.
Remember, every time something new drops and makes you feel intense emotion, think about the PURPOSE of its existence.
To take advantage of your state of shock/extreme anger/sadness/happiness so you could believe its narrative faster, without taking time to look at the details and the bigger picture. To see if it even makes sense that this piece of media exists at all. Because if you took a step back and breathed, look at the facts I present from following this case for a year, it's really no big deal.
It's easily debunkable, from a debunked IG, from a Xie Yihua, an incompetent person who tried to make it big in c-ent through her family connections but failed continuously due to her own lack of ability (QV posts a lot about her).

How ZZH's Instagram account was compromised
aka the question that's been plaguing us all since last year. But now we have enough info to put together a theory. (As always all this info is thanks to the hard work of QV and her friends. I'm just compiling)
During 813, Xie Yihua's son, Abner, said in a comment on Bilibili that ZZH's instagram account isn't actually his. It was set up by staff when ZZH was still under the management of his former boss, Yu Zheng, and that the phone number that was registered to the account doesn't belong to ZZH.
Tumblr media
This means whoever has access to the actual phone number can reset the password and take control of the account.
Also how on earth did Abner know the details of the IG's account's security (or lack thereof)? Did his mother tell him? We already know Xie Yihua is ZSJ's handler.
On June 2020, ZZH posted on his IG after months of inactivity, and in the comments section he thanked a woman named Virginia. We can infer from their convo that he had lost access to the account sometime ago and that this Virginia helped him gain access again.
Based on ZZH's IG activity, he did stop posting for a few months and only started posted there again when he started filming WOH. That's when he thanked this Virginia person.
Tumblr media
There's an interesting comment under Flora's tweet saying that when they first read this, their interpretation was that this Virginia helped ZZH gain access to his account by setting up a VPN for him. And I was the same. That's also how I initially interpreted it, that ZZH wasn't able to access his IG because of the Great Firewall. But with all the info that has come to light, it looks more like ZZH was unable to access it because it was set up by someone else, with a number that didn't belong to him. And Virginia probably helped him by contacting whoever it was that had access to the account in Yu Zheng's management.
So if all this time ZZH's IG account was under the control of someone from Yu Zheng's studio, how did it wind up in the hands of ZSJ's team?
Recently, Yu Zheng was seen promoting the hat from ZSJ's brand. (Photos from bluebird and QV)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It's worth noting that Yu Zheng doesn't seem to like ZZH very much. He interacted with a ZZH anti and implied that it's ZZH fault Zhao Ge did not air. So why is Yu Zheng promoting "ZZH's" brand if he doesn't even like him?
The person Yu Zheng interacted with literally has the username 'zzh liar' and is an active ZZH anti.
Tumblr media
And for those who don't know what Zhao Ge is, it's the show where Yu Zheng asked ZZH to come back for additional shoots while he was still recovering from his knee injury. This is widely understood to be the reason why ZZH's knee was messed up for good. More details here.
Zhao Ge was already running into problems way before 813. The script had a lot of elements that likely got it into trouble with the censors, plus in December 2020 more than a hundred industry folks signed a letter calling for a boycott against Yu Zheng and another person for being notorious plagiarists and all around shitty human beings. If it's not the script that sank Zhao Ge's chances of airing, then it's Yu Zheng's awful reputation as a plagiarist amongst his peers. Even before 813, the chances of Zhao Ge airing were not looking good.
Yu Zheng was brought to court by Taiwanese author and producer Qiong Yao for plagiarizing one of her novels, and a Beijing court later ruled in her favor. He was ordered to pay her millions. So you know...Yu Zheng is quite literally a criminal. That along with the script is probably why Zhao Ge will never see the light of day. ZZH should actually be the angry one here because his knee was pretty much ruined forever just for a shitty drama that will never even air.
A document that was circulated amongst ZZH fans last year and associated with him can also be linked back to a lawyer that once worked on Yu Zheng's legal counsel. Coincidence? Maybe. But it's interesting how many times his name comes up in relation to ZSJ.
And this is just personal speculation but I wonder if Yu Zheng was pissed when ZZH blew up after he was no longer within his management, and he could no longer reap the benefits of ZZH's fame for himself. Remember during the WOH concert ZZH mentioned that a lot of old friends suddenly came up to him after WOH's success, asking for all sorts of favours and whatnot, and then him apologizing for not being able to attend to them all. Looking back on that, it's interesting that a lot of people involved in the scam had more or less a connection with ZZH in the past. The Chens from the teashop, Xie Yihua, Zhang Su, Xiao Chu Nada, etc. And now Yu Zheng.
So yeah this is it. Yu Zheng's involvement with ZSJ was the last piece of the mystery behind the compromised IG account.

Note
Weibo taking down ZSJ pics but not pics of the real ZZH is very interesting. Has this been happening for a while now?
Since the Bangkok concert. It all started after that warning weibo posted about ticketing and concert scams. After that, ZSJ photos from the Bangkok concert were censored and even non-concert photos of ZSJ were included. Note that the concert was on May 10 and ZZH's birthday, May 11, and fans were posting greetings for him on weibo. Posts from a lot of ZSJ fans were getting nuked while posts from CPFs were safe. And the only real difference was that ZSJ fans used ZSJ pics in their posts while CPFs used only ZZH's photos. (Here's what censored photos look like. This is that evil hag Xie Yihua's "birthday greeting" btw)
Aside from that, weibo also suppresses any mention of ZSJ on hotsearch for some reason. Whenever ZSJ (or rather, the people behind him) attemps to get on hotsearch, weibo nukes the tag within seconds. The tag usually makes it to hotsearch for at most a minute or two before it gets quietly yeeted into oblivion. Then the tag itself gets cleared out, as in when you type out the tag you can't see any of the posts in it anymore even if the posts themselves still exist and are viewable on the original poster's profile. The tag from their last attempt straight up said it got removed for the violation of laws.
It's a little confusing because it looks like weibo is protecting ZZH to some degree and yet we all know how corrupt that platform is and how it's essentially the playground of corrupt capital and industry bigwigs, including the ones behind 813. So a lot of us suspect that the government is involved because who else can overpower them?

GJ and ZZH Updates — April 14-20
previous post || all posts
This is part of a weekly series collecting updates from and relating to Gong Jun and Zhang Zhehan.
This post is not wholly comprehensive and is intended as an overview, links provided lead to further details. Dates are in accordance with China Standard Time, the organization is chronological. My own biases on some things are reflected here. Anything I include that is not concretely known is indicated as such, and you’re welcome to do your own research and draw your own conclusions as you see fit. Please let me know if you have any questions, comments, concerns, or additions. :)
[Glossary of names and terms] [Masterlist of my posts about the situation with Zhang Zhehan]
04-14 → Gong Jun filmed an episode of Go Fighting!. (blue track suit)
→ The scam's "August" documentary was released. - The documentary mentions 813 in the vaguest sense, describing it only as cyberbullying. - Much of the voiceover is pushing the "poor sad man who can't take care of himself" narrative the scam has been using, and only focuses on Zhang Sanjian's music with barely a mention of Zhang Zhehan's career. - Almost none of the names listed in the credits are the full names of real people, with a lone exception being Xie Yihua; many are just generic or comedic nicknames that cannot be easily linked to a specific individual. [screenshot] - The YouTube link that whalers have been passing around is on an unofficial channel, with all ad revenue going to YouTube rather than the uploader. Whalers seem to be either ignorant of this or are ignoring it. There is speculation that it is so the scam can claim a financial loss on the project.
04-15 → Gong Jun filmed an episode of Go Fighting!. (clown mask)
→ PRSR posted a short commercial featuring Gong Jun.
04-16 → Gong Jun posted a promotional image for the upcoming Go Fighting! season. Caption: "Use your own unique way to awaken people's enthusiasm. This time I really refuse to accept it. I'm back with full firepower!" This was reposted by his studio with the added caption, "Go forward bravely, fearlessly! Starting from April 21st, @ Gong Jun Simon returns with firepower!"
Tumblr media
→ The Instagram posted a video of "Zhang Zhehan" playing guitar.
→ PRSR posted a short commercial, a short behind the scenes video, and a photo ad featuring Gong Jun.
04-17 → The Instagram posted seven photos of "Zhang Zhehan", advertising the "August" documentary.
→ PRSR posted a promotional video and a short commercial featuring Gong Jun.
→ Gong Jun's studio posted nine photos of him from the Fresh livestream. Caption: "Elegant, soft, and noble. @ Gong Jun Simon portrays a sharp demeanor, and his style is not stereotypical."
→ PRSR posted a video featuring Gong Jun. (minor flashing lights cw)
04-18 → PRSR posted a photo ad featuring Gong Jun.
→ PRSR posted a short behind the scenes video featuring Gong Jun.
→ Yang Yang posted three photos of himself and Gong Jun from the previous day's livestream.
04-19 → Neil Gaiman reposted a BlueSky post that a whaler @'d him in linking the "August" documentary. He later deleted the repost after a number of us responded to him about it. In a small silver lining, his response to the whaler's post communicates that he still remembers what happened and thinks positively of Zhehan. (This humble post writer asks that no one bother Neil about this or Zhehan in general, Neil has already been bombarded by whalers on BlueSky over it.)
(Context: Neil's book Smoke and Mirrors became a bestseller in China back in July 2021 after Zhehan referenced the book in an Instagram post, and Neil tweeted positively about it. Later after 813, some people @'d him about some of the smears and Neil responded in Zhehan's defense, but quickly deleted the tweets after people let him know that the situation was delicate. The topic of Zhehan has not come up from him since aside from this new incident.)
→ Gong Jun posted a commercial he did for Zhenguoli.
→ PRSR posted two photos of Gong Jun, promoting the livestream half an hour later.
→ Gong Jun attended a livestream for PRSR. [full video]
→ At the same time as Gong Jun's livestream, the scam tried to hold a livestream of the "August" documentary on YouTube and an app funded by crypto currency. Prior to the stream, just over 100 viewers were waiting to watch. The YouTube stream reportedly got shut down for copyright infringement not long after starting.
→ Gong Jun's studio posted nine photos of him from the PRSR livestream. Caption: "Embark on a journey and embrace the comfort of summer, @ Gong Jun Simon is not afraid of the scorching sun, and has his own 'little treasure' to protect him!"
04-20 → Gong Jun's studio posted a behind the scenes video of his photoshoot for Zhenguoli.
→ OK! magazine posted a teaser image for their May issue featuring Gong Jun. (1129 kadian)
→ PRSR posted a photo ad featuring Gong Jun.
Additional Reading: → Blue has organized a charity fundraiser for Zhang Zhehan's birthday, this year for the Ching Tien Foundation! Giveaways offered by other fans are available for those who show proof of donation before 05-08. → I finally escaped the Chromebook hell I've been in since November that's been making it much more difficult to collect the info for these posts. Rejoice!

GJ and ZZH Updates — June 11-17
<<< previous week || all posts || following week >>>
Late addition to last week: The Singaporean paper Shin Min Daily News (aka Zaobao) published an “email interview” article about “Zhang Zhehan” (ie. taking the Zhang Sanjian scam and concerts as legitimate) with the first line of the article saying that Zhang Zhehan visited Yasukuni Shrine. This article was celebrated by whalers, with some blatantly omitting this first line; when confronted about this, they claimed it was no big deal for the very smears at the centre of 813 to be repeated here. The article also went on to say that Zhang Sanjian was “grateful for the opportunity” that his cancellation gave him.
06-11 → An article about Word of Honor was published by the Collider, an English language film news media company, promoting the drama as “one of the best queer historical dramas”.
06-12 → #Chen Lu's suspected extortion case enters the review and prosecution stage# got on Weibo hotsearch, about a legal case involving Huo Zun (a singer who performed 锦书来 for Word of Honor) and his ex-girlfriend that started in summer 2021.* All the featured posts under the hotsearch were from marketing accounts affiliated with CAPA and presented Huo Zun in a more positive light than his ex, indicating that he likely reached some sort of agreement with CAPA for them to back him. At least one post was written in a way that can also be read to allude to Zhang Zhehan’s case, saying that “there's no benefit to making your enemy go to jail, seek a win-win result and don't insist on them going to jail.” (CAPA seems to be scared as of late, no?) *I have not been following this case and have no opinion on it.
06-13 → 361° posted nine photo ads featuring Gong Jun.
→ Gong Jun donated 230,000 RMB to the China Charities Aid Foundation for Children, including the 30,000 RMB he received as compensation in one of his lawsuits against an anti.
06-14 → On Aura Tout Vu (see 06-05 under last week) posted a blog article about Zhang Sanjian, in which they mentioned Yasukuni Shrine and the Nogi Shrine wedding photos without clarifications, and said Zhang Zhehan was banned by “authorities” who “also suspected him of homosexuality[.]” [screenshots] This was edited twenty minutes later to remove the specific mention of the shrine, referring to it as a defamation campaign, then was edited again several hours later to remove the mention of homosexuality. [records showing the editing history]
→ Xie Yihua made claims that she had won a defamation suit against an “anti” account. There is no record of any such suit existing [1] [2], the “apology letter” posted that was supposedly written by the person sued does not include a UID number, and the account mentioned only has five followers. The UID that was later found was discovered to belong to someone who had had a hand in 813. It was subsequently passed around whaler circles that Zhang Zhehan must not be pursuing his case because otherwise Xie Yihua’s wouldn’t have concluded first, as if the two could be compared even if Xie Yihua wasn’t a compulsive liar.
→ ELLE magazine posted a teaser video for their photoshoot with Gong Jun they would release later. Caption: “In the July issue of ELLE, we talked about music, movies, work, study plans, and even childhood memories with the cover character @ Gong Jun Simon. We have seen a Gong Jun who regards sincerity and frankness as the wall of his comfort zone, we have seen Gong Jun who likes strong-paced pop music and brain-burning suspense movies, we have seen Gong Jun an actor who treats each character with heart, and we have seen Gong Jun who is willing to learn more. Gong Jun who takes a little time, and Gong Jun who has too many ideals. Stay tuned!”
→ L’Oreal posted a photo ad of Gong Jun from Cannes.
→ ELLE posted the covers of their issue featuring Gong Jun. Caption:  “For more than a year, @ Gong Jun Simon has been in a crew almost all the time, ‘Legend of AnLe’, ‘Rising with the Wind’, ‘Fox Spirit Matchmaker: Red Moon Red Chapter’... Meeting ELLE on the long-lost holiday, it seems that everything can trigger his joy. At the shooting scene, Gong Jun lamented the good weather, beautiful scenery, and enjoying the beauty of nature. What's even more rare is that his happy personality doesn't have much purpose. In his opinion, the foundation of an actor's life is his work. He already has happiness, and now he wants to ‘walk more steadily step by step’.” This was reposted by Gong Jun’s studio with the added caption: “Perched on a canoe, leaning on the prow of a small boat, @ Gong Jun Simon listens to the gurgling water~” Fan Observations: The covers use the famous first line from Shakespeare’s Sonnet 18, one of the poems written about the Fair Youth believed to have been his male lover.
→ ELLE posted eleven photos from their shoot with Gong Jun. Caption: “We are naturally happy to see the person opposite speak crisply; but for public figures who need to be cautious in their daily words and deeds, will this kind of directness cause trouble? @ Gong Jun Simon said that he is very satisfied with his personality and does not need to change: ‘If you want to express it, you can express it directly, and if you have a request, you can express it directly. The friends around me are also the same kind, and they are all straightforward people.’ When we discussed the topic of ‘most recently listened to music’, he directly opened the music app in his mobile phone, showed me the playback history and favorites, and even played the song he listened to the most recently to invite us together listen. Parson James' Sad Song sounded in the dressing room. It didn't sound so sad, but the rhythm made people feel the urge to dance.”
Tumblr media
→ Gong Jun posted nine photos from the ELLE photoshoot. Caption: “Fresh summer! Thanks @ ELLE” He also posted nine to his Xiao Hong Shu, caption: “Vacation  Just a joke 😱” and ten to his Instagram, caption: “Fresh summer😉” Fan Observation: The Weibo post was at 11:06, which wouldn’t really be notable except the post from his studio an hour later was at 12:01. 🤔
→ Tangle Teezer posted a promotional video spoken by Gong Jun. (1129 kadian)
→ ELLE posted a video of their photoshoot. Caption: “Everyone likes the contagious smile of @ Gong Jun Simon, the kind of smile that stretches the brows and eyes and is full of vitality, as if the surrounding is always sunny and the air is fresh; his personal temperament is also happy and bright, even as long as you mention this the name, the face that comes to mind is the smiling one. In an industry that is often overworked, it is not easy to stay energized and positive. It may take a little bit of luck, but also some determination to be yourself. The warm and loving family endows Gong Jun with a bright and optimistic personality background, while his straightforward social attitude guards a pure heart.” This was reposted by Fresh. Fan Observation: The straw hat looks similar to that of Luffy from One Piece, the character Zhang Zhehan used as his Weibo pfp.
→ ELLE posted their interview with Gong Jun.
→ Gong Jun’s studio posted a video of behind the scenes footage from the photoshoot. Caption: “In the lush season of summer, record the cool moment of @ Gong Jun Simon” BGM is White Lies (Instrumental) by ODESZA.
→ Hogan posted four of the ELLE photos, highlighting their clothes. Caption includes “Go into the mountains and start an adventure.”
→ Gong Jun’s studio posted six behind the scenes photos from the shoot. Caption: “Watching nature quietly, @ Gong Jun Simon is at leisure, enjoying the peaceful world beyond the turmoil.”
→ Gong Jun’s studio posted a douyin of behind the scenes footage from the shoot. Caption: “@ Gong Jun Simon takes grass and trees as a seat and lies flat!” BGM is After Hours by The Weeknd.
→ 361° posted three photo ads featuring Gong Jun.
06-15 → EHz.Z changed recipient companies again, this being the eleventh time since October 2022. (see 06-03)
→ Tangle Teezer posted a photo ad featuring Gong Jun.
→ The Instagram posted six photos of “Zhang Zhehan”.
→ Huang Xiaoming posted a photo to celebrate Go Fighting! season 9 wrapping, with the regular cast members who weren’t present for the photo poorly photoshopped in. Gong Jun commented, “Ge, why do I blend in more naturally than you in this picture?” to which Huang Xiaoming replied, “This is the extent of my photoshopping skills 😂”
06-16 → STELLAR, the production company for Rising with the Wind and Fox Spirit Matchmaker, posted a video celebrating their 5th anniversary with brief messages from various actors. [subbed cut of Gong Jun]
→ Louis Vuitton posted a teaser video of Gong Jun from when he was in Seoul in April.
→ Gong Jun posted the full video for Louis Vuitton, showing him spending a day in Seoul with Jin Chen, who was also there in partnership with LV. [subbed video] Caption: “Set off with a comfortable mood and unlock an unforgettable adventure. Roam Seoul with @ Louis Vuitton and explore the infinite joy of travel.”
→ The 不想匿名 account was deactivated. It’s unknown if this was done by the account itself or the platform.
→ The Instagram posted a video of “Zhang Zhehan” playing a new song.
06-17 → Fresh posted a photo ad featuring Gong Jun.
→ L’Oreal posted a promotional video spoken by Gong Jun.
→ The Instagram posted a video of “Zhang Zhehan” having a photoshoot.
Additional Reading: → A Twitter event, #ShineWithTheMoon, is being organized for 08-03 for fans of Zhang Zhehan to share positive messages about the fandom. Update: This event has been postponed due to concern over recent bot activity.

03-31 (CST) ZSJ Songs, Golden Shield, and Hewitt Space Notes
This was a space held to go over recent events, ie. the song releases, the incident with Golden Shield, Hewitt, and some recent minor attacks on Gong Jun. [Recording]
Quick Plug: Harry is organizing a video of well wishes for Zhang Zhehan for his birthday, please consider joining in! [info]
Song Releases
Three of the songs that have been released were known about by October 2021 and were likely written for the concert Zhang Zhehan was planning before 813. The other three are believed to be from the Zhang Sanjian period, in which case they are likely made using deepfake tech.
This month the YoYoRock YouTube channel was made to take down Zhang Zhehan’s old songs that had been released from Xinxi.
Radio stations that played the ZSJ songs introduced Zhang Zhehan generally as someone who had been blacklisted in China and is trying to make a comeback. Some of the stations have also been posting about the songs on their websites.
No interview has been played by any of the radio stations, anything you see of people referring to one is only short old soundbites.
Since the point where iTunes shut them down for artificially manipulating engagement, the ZSJ team seems to have given up on that aim and are now focusing on YouTube and KK Box (Taiwanese streaming service).
For one week on KK Box they put the distributer as someone else, which was tracked to a friend of Xie Yihua’s who has ties to CAPA. The address of this distributor was found and is actually the friend’s residential address on the outskirts of Taipei.
Videos of Surround on YouTube were attributed to a UK company named Kitahara for a long time. In February this was removed. QuelleVous looked into it and found that the song had been relinquished by Kitahara after YouTube(? sorry I think I missed something here) discovered that they were not the rights holders.
Whalers have been saying the new songs are released by Shanghai Ranyi music, supposedly associated with Zhang Mama. One of the social media accounts for this used to belong to Xie Yihua, and YoYoRock is the distributor still getting claims for the songs on YouTube.
Fan uploads of Zhang Zhehan’s old songs are still up on YouTube, YoYoRock specifically has been barred from posting them. Whoever is the owner of the songs claimed them back and removed YoYoRock’s rights; it’s likely this was Zhang Zhehan or someone closely related to him, since there is no logical monetary incentive for Xinxi to request their removal.
One of the radio stations was Fairchild, located in Canada. A voice clip passed around social media had the Fairchild logo. A fan later clairifed was an edit she had made with voice clips from 2020. [thread about this]
Blue contacted Fairchild’s promotions director about the voice clip. They said there had been a misunderstanding, they never included the clip in their promotions; their own promotions were a news article and a spoken blurb by a radio host, not Zhang Zhehan.
Blue was also told that this blurb was provided by Global Hits, an associate of Chinese radio stations that heads Hits FM, which has also been promoting the songs, as well as other stations that have been promoting them.
The promotions director had no knowledge about the Zhang Zhehan voice clip, was very shocked, and said she was going to pass it on to Global Hits and another station that had played the songs.
Fairchild said that they never spoke with Zhang Zhehan or his team, only the radio association.
It’s been found that at least some of the overseas billboards have not been up for as long as was claimed.
Golden Shield and Li Xuezheng
A reminder that all Golden Shield social media accounts were for Qingdao Golden Shield. Many Golden Shields exist that have no connections to each other. Peng Lihu is a shareholder in Qingdao Golden Shield. (Previous info about this: [1] [2])
Qingdao Golden Shield was contracted for the marketing for Roving Inspection Team; Li Xuezheng used to work for Golden Shield Television.
The Cloud Institute account appeared last year after Li Xuezheng was muted, registered to Peng Lihu’s company and definitely run by Peng Lihu.
Cloud Institute posted a spiel claiming to be exposing an official in the government’s propaganda department, supposedly from Li Xuezheng.
The Golden Shield Television website posted the same notice shortly after. It was previously believed this website was legitimately related to Li Xuezheng and it possibly used to belong to Golden Shield Publishing.
The IP address for the site at the point when this notice was posted was located in Hong Kong and owned by a Tencent subsidiary in Singapore, it makes no sense for that to be the case for a site still being run by Golden Shield Publishing since they are domestically oriented.
Hong Kong IP addresses target foreign audiences more than mainland Chinese, as being hosted outside of mainland China makes it take longer to load. Chinese fans who tried to load the website had to wait a really long time due to this.
The website was also unsecured.
When Li Xuezheng was muted in January 2021, this website posted a notice from him. At that time, no one reported the site as being unusually slow (as far as anyone in the space could remember, at least).
The person who signed up for the website’s hosting site is not part of Golden Shield Publishing, but another Golden Shield.
On the same day of the notice, shortly after, Li Xuezheng’s Baidu page was removed. It’s believed Li Xuezheng removed it himself to avoid malicious edits being made to it. The Roving Inspection Team Baidu was edited to remove Li Xuezheng’s name, with this being done by the same editor who had edited Xie Yihua’s page during 813.
Li Xuezheng and the official’s Chinese Wikipedia pages were edited to include the incident. An editor from Hong Kong who was not registered as a Wikipedia editor initially added very basic facts, then very shortly after a high level editor came in to edit it properly and included Epoch Times as a source (along with several other uncredible “sources”.)
These tactics are aimed at overseas audiences, and are seemingly trying to turn it into an international anti-China incident.
Keep in mind that CAPA hires journalists and have shown that they are very good at manufacturing narratives using news media.
Since the day after the incident, Golden Shield Publishing has released legal notices. The first was that Golden Shield Television had been dissolved and they would sue anyone attempting to speak as them. Peng Lihu quickly changed the Weibo accounts to include Qingdao, removed the Golden Shield trademark from their pfps, and the website was taken down.
Peng Lihu was muted by the CAC for six months across platforms.
Peng Lihu’s boss recently bought a mansion despite the fact that she was in a financial dispute until early this year.
Most if not all of the social media claiming to be Golden Shield are not and have not been legitimately associated with them.
Fake screenshots of Li Xuezheng’s WeChat friend circle posts have been passed around by whalers. The person who initially posted these participated in the slander during 813 on the same account and has still not taken those posts down.
There was recently a notice put up by an industry association saying they were kicking Li Xuezheng out. This is on the same authority level as CAPA (aka none.) Articles about Li Xuezheng on government websites have not been affected in any way.
It seems like this was possibly an attempt at something like 813, indicating that something is likely happening in the background. The “Righteous Passerby” accounts are also trying to encourage some of the fan behaviours associated with 813 and 1123. Tags have been made and quickly nuked, and it’s likely they attempted to buy hotsearches but were thankfully stopped by someone.
Hewitt
QuelleVous found an account through other people in the scam gang full of foot pics trying to claim to be Zhang Zhehan.
Another account, Hewitt, was also posting many of the same photos at the same time.
The account claiming to be Zhang Zhehan was using a pfp photo of the fake dad from the fake girlfriend slander—Hewitt and fake dad are not the same person.
The feet pics match up with the feet photo posted by the Instagram from the driving range (aka Hewitt is the Zhang Sanjian body double Sophie banged in the changeroom.)
A number of his photos were taken in the same pre-furnished apartment complex Zhang Zhehan used to rent from, with this room used for some of the fake Lufei photos. Items on the coffee table were the same in photos between accounts.
Hewitt was very quick to deregister his accounts after QuelleVous revealed him.
He travels between Shanghai and Shenzhen fairly often.
His surname is Chen, it’s not known if he’s related to the other Chens.
He has other social media accounts that have not been revealed yet, if he behaves himself they will not be.
Gong Jun and the Elie Saab suit
The Vogue vlog not only happening but also being edited and posted within the same day shows that they really like him.
After Gong Jun attended Weibo Night, there were anti attacks on brand posts of his Elie Saab suit.
Elie Saab recently started making men’s haute couture and Gong Jun possibly the first man to wear a custom piece by them. Some people have been trying to question whether it’s actually haute couture (fashion expert QuelleVous assures that it is.)
Some people were trying to claim it was not fully custom made but was remade from a women’s outfit, which doesn’t really make sense given he’s definitely bigger than most women.
The suit was the highest designation of Elie Saab’s custom clothing, which would have taken three fittings and was made by people from their Parisian atelier.
QuelleVous suspects the fighting is possibly orchestrated by Weibo to increase engagement. She advises not to engage with it, brands don’t like it.
You have to be invited to wear haute couture, you can’t just go and request it.

Collected information and sources about the 05-04 Instagram video
As I’m sure many are aware by now, a six minute video of Zhang Zhehan speaking was posted on the Instagram a little after midnight on May 4th (CST). [subbed video]
Below is a collection of information discussing it, why people find its contents questionable, and why there is reason to believe it was faked.
Video Summary
He says that “the letter” (presumably the one on 04-30, discussed below) was by him.
He implies that Gong Jun “was the one who poured oil on [him]” and pushed the CP (ship) for profit. Gong Jun’s name is not said, but a specific incident from September of one of Zhang Zhehan’s baby photos being used in a show appearance Gong Jun did is mentioned, clearing any doubt that he is the one being implied.
He talks about how much money and effort was put into destroying his name.
He talks about a number of new hobbies and pursuits that relate to the merch and things from Zhang Sanjian’s essays (an online persona claiming to be Zhang Zhehan.)
He directly says he wants to cut ties with “those [fans] who don’t want to wake up,” the implication being CP fans.
Unsurprisingly, this caused quite an upset for many fans, with solo fans directing more hate than usual at CPFs and making claims that anyone questioning the video doesn’t care about him.
Many tabloid reporters have picked up on the topic of the video—far more than is natural.
Context of the Instagram Account
Prior to this video being posted, there has been a huge amount of reason to doubt that Zhang Zhehan is the one behind the account, and to believe that his former music manager Xie Yihua is using it for personal gain and/or because of ties she has with CAPA, the association heavily suspected of being behind 813.
The account has been used to push an exorbitantly priced merch brand supposedly for Zhang Zhehan, but public records show that all profits go to her and her sister.
There is currently unverified mention of Xie Yihua trying to convince Li Xuezheng to not sue CAPA. Xie Yihua herself has professional connections to CAPA.
Xie Yihua’s son made a comment on Bilibili on August 17th saying that Zhang Zhehan does not have sole access to his Instagram account and that it is not registered to his own phone number.
Xie Yihua and people working for her have been specifically and intentionally directing hate towards Gong Jun since at least late January
Every single action from the Instagram account since its pfp changed on March 31st has been suspicious, and every post prior to this video has had solid evidence indicating that they are either fake or being presented in a false context. A full timeline and breakdown of the account can be found [here]; below are the key points leading up to this video:
03-31 and 04-01: pfp change + a fan who was previously in Xie Yihua’s circle publicly denounced her.
04-03: The first photos of Zhang Zhehan were posted. Every single photo posted since has been from the same photoshoot, which is believed to have been taken around last June.
04-11 and 04-13: Videos were posted of a figure playing guitar from the neck down; in the second video the camera “falls” and Zhang Zhehan’s face is briefly visible. These videos have been thoroughly debunked and shown to be edited.
04-30: The letter (presumably) referred to in this most recent video was posted. Many of the issues with the content are similar to the video, discussed below. The photo shows signs of being photoshopped, and the handwriting and signature do not match Zhang Zhehan’s.
The Timing
The video was released on a very specific date: the anniversary of the Word of Honor concert, and what is Youth Day in China.  ↳ The concert—the promise—was one of the happiest times for fans, especially CPFs. The anniversary was therefore an emotionally heightened date to begin with, making it easier to be emotionally affected.  ↳ Youth Day means that people’s minds would more easily draw connections from the contents of the video to meaning that Gong Jun is misleading youths (ie. his fans), especially with the specific mention made of pushing an m/m CP. A reminder that 813 was timed to be right before a patriotic holiday in order to have maximum effect.
A few days before this, Sophie (one of the people working for Xie Yihua, who has encouraged online slander against Gong Jun, and who took part in last July’s girlfriend rumors against Zhang Zhehan) posted a list of “CP-breaking tactics” that would be employed soon, listed among which was videos.
The Contents
[Here] and [here] are discussions about the content of what is said in the video. The primary concern is that none of it is beneficial to him. The main points:
What is said in the video is very obviously designed to destroy a portion of his own fanbase.
If there is a real issue with Gong Jun, there are much more professional ways to handle the situation. Denouncing a former coworker makes him undesirable to work with in the future, and it pointedly directs fans to attack both Gong Jun and each other. Prior to 813, Zhang Zhehan said multiple times that he dislikes fans fighting, and that fans do not determine his actions.
At no point in the video is his legal case or CAPA ever so much as alluded to. This is a huge red flag, in case it wasn’t obvious.
[Here] is the baby picture mentioned in the video, which was on a program filmed in May 2021 that aired in September. It was selected by the program Gong Jun appeared on, he did not see it during the filming itself, the interview included zero mention of Zhang Zhehan, and the mistake was edited after it was pointed out. Honestly I don’t think anyone made nearly as big a deal out of it as the video implies; I’ve seen it mentioned maybe twice prior to this and only as an amusing mistake to laugh about.
Some Taiwanese phrasing snuck into the video. Use of Taiwanese in the previous Instagram posts and Zhang Sanjian’s essays is one of the factors that have made people believe Xie Yihua is involved in their writing, due to herself and her family being from Taiwan. Zhang Zhehan himself always used mainland phrasing in what can be verified as things said and written by him.
Deepfake Information and Evidence
“deepfake n. — A video of a person in which their face or body has been digitally altered so that they appear to be someone else, typically used maliciously or to spread false information.”
The possibility of a deepfake being used is something that has been considered since the Instagram was unprivated. Some have actually been surprised it didn’t happen before this.
[Here] and [here] are examples of deepfakes. A quick search will find you many more. [Here] is an example showing how easy it is for even a layperson to make one nowadays.
The requirements to make a deepfake, quoted from here, are as follows:
Takes 300-500 images to make a good deepfake
About 4-5 hours for a decent video
Cost is $500-1000 to hire semi-professional
Deepfake training can be up to 12-48 hrs
There are dozens of deepfake apps
CCTV also ~coincidentally~ put out a news story explaining deepfakes on May 6th; the cost of them in China specifically is a little over 1k RBM.

Tumblr media
As much as any of the technical aspects, however, what many people have been trusting as evidence that the video is fake is the simple fact that none of this fits who he always showed himself to be prior to 813. I’m not going to link evidence here, because honestly all you need to do is pull up any interview he did.
Does trauma change people? Yes. But this is a signficant change from what we saw even from the interview with Li Xuezheng recorded at the end of December. If he didn’t change that much in the four months when his life was destroyed and his mother was considering suicide, then it seems hard to imagine that something so major as to effect this supposed change could have happened since that interview without us hearing anything about it.
Miscellaneous Additional Info
Some have reported that their comments on the video asking about his wellbeing and about his case were deleted. As a reminder, when 813 happened, the only comments he deleted from his apology letter’s post were those supporting him—presumably because he didn’t want his fans to be targetted—while the ones vilifying him were left.
With regard to Zhang Zhehan’s attitude toward CPFs and homosexuality prior to this, see [this video] [this video] and [this tweet], or simply watch the concert and the Word of Honor bts.
[Here] is another post discussing the video and its circumstances as a whole.
To the question of “If it’s an imposter why hasn’t the real Zhang Zhehan said anything?” see [this thread].
[Here] is a statement put out by a Chinese actress who also had her Instagram stolen and hasn’t been able to get it shut down.
[Here] is a thread talking about the tactic of emotionally overwhelming those following the account. (Remember, the real fight is against CAPA, not this.)
[Here] is a video explaining how deepfakes can even be used in livestreams nowadays. [Here] is an example of one being used in real time in front of a live audience.

Note
Hello! I want to thank you for always updating us about the real ZZH’s situation. I’m new to the fandom and read some of your posts to understand everything better, but there’s something I still don’t understand and would like to know.
Can you please tell me all the fandom terms? Like, what’s “LLD” or “JunZhe Río”? What’s the meaning of the egg🥚? I’ve seen this a lot on twitter and I’m so confuse😭. I don’t know what is what😭. I know “🐳” stands for ZSJ believers, “🪼” stands for haizhe (real ZZH fans) and “🍄” stands for GJ solo fandom right? But I have also seen the Crab 🦀, which if remember correctly it’s the “scam gang” right? Oh, and there’s “🐱” “🐶”? So many terms and so little I know🥹
I’m SO SORRY for all my questions and I’m sorry if I misspelled something, for English is not my first language. Please have a nice day/night! And once again thank you for everything you’re doing!🩷
No reason to apologize, I'm always happy to answer questions. Welcome to the fandom!
LLD -> Lang Lang Ding (literally "wandering nails"), a ship name for Gong Jun and Zhang Zhehan that was coined around the time Word of Honor finished airing
Junzhe Rio -> Rio here is joking Chinglish for "real". The phrase is used to say that Gong Jun and Zhang Zhehan really are a couple rather than it just being fan shipping. If you see the acronym lldszd (for 浪浪订是真的), that means the same thing
🥚 -> "shan dandan". I don't think the term is used much in the English fandom, but if I'm not mistaken it's a subcategory of shippers who view junzhe more as a bromance and/or who don't keep up with news/rumors as much as fully invested shippers (junzipi, 🍊)
😺 and 🐶 -> Zhang Zhehan and Gong Jun respectively. It references the fact that Gong Jun likened Zhehan to a cat during an early interview, while Gong Jun himself has a very dog-like personality (cute, playful, loyal etc.)
Crab specifically refers to Xie Yihua rather than the scam gang collectively. The other ones you have correct! If there's anything else you're confused about feel free to ask, I also have some terms included at the bottom of my glossary :D

12-31 (CST) Year in Review space notes
This was a Twitter space held by QuelleVous et al. to review the events and exposés from the past year. The recording can be found [here].
[notes I’ve done on previous spaces] [glossary of names]
We had a good start to the year with the interview between Zhang Zhehan and Li Xuezheng. 🥺 (recorded on 2021-12-30, released 2022-01-01)
Li Xuezheng was muted on 01-10.
The Instagram was reactivated three days later.
The Zhang Sanjian WeChat was made another three days after that, 01-16. This showed a SIGNIFICANT difference in “Zhang Zhehan’s” personality less than three weeks after the interview.
The WeChat account itself was registered on 2021-12-24 in Shenzhen. Zhang Zhehan’s police report was filed on the same day in Beijing.
Metadata of several of the hat photos dated them to 01-10, the day Li Xuezheng was muted.
Also on 01-10, Xie Yihua mentioned rolling out the brand in her group chat with fans. She didn’t respond to any questions asking about Li Xuezheng’s wellbeing.
Xie Yihua has only met Li Xuezheng once, when she and Su Shifu tried to convince him to tell Zhang Zhehan not to sue CAPA in December.
The tea shop is the reason many people initially trusted the WeChat account. At the time most of us did truly believe that the shop was owned by Zhang Mama.  -  Zhang Mama’s company was the tea shop’s pu’er supplier, this is no longer the case. No one has yet shown any pu’er cakes that were produced by Zhang Mama’s company in 2022.   -  Zhang Mama only became a majority share holder of this company in 2021-04.  -  No one who went to the tea shop prior to 813 mentioned meeting Zhang Mama there, only Chen Ahyi who would say that Zhang Mama had just left / was there yesterday / would be there tomorrow.  -  The fake Lufei account (2021-11-14) also came from the tea shop, as did the rumor that Zhang Mama listened to the haizhes’ end of year livestream.  -  Some CP fans didn’t trust the tea shop early on. The biggest issue they raised what that it seemed to be using Zhang Zhehan’s elements as a marketing strategy, which they thought was out of character for him.
An early essay the WeChat posted claimed to have gotten an antidepressant perscription from Zhang Peichao (aka Doc Creepy).  -  Zhang Peichao has no legitimate authority to do so—he has a PhD in philosophy with a focus on psychological theory, and he actually works as a counsellor (no medical training required, he has a bachelor’s in general biology) and writes self help books.   -  Standard doctor’s notes in China now include notes on whether the patient has had COVID, been in contact with someone who has had COVID, etc. This was not present in the photograph of the perscription included with the essay.  -  Zhang Peichao gave talks for an American university that does not have an APA approved psychology department (which also had a cult scandal a few years ago), and he is on a Hong Kong psychology council that is not well known or respected.  -  He made some troubling statements on his Facebook about mainland China which have now been deleted.  -  He’s primarily based in Shenzhen.  -  He also wrote an essay after Word of Honor aired saying that Wen Kexing was attracted to Zhou Zishu because he had mommy issues, and said rude things about Gong Jun’s acting. -  A lot of the early essays posted by Zhang Sanjian mirror his way of thinking and writing.
Zhang Peichao is offline aquaintances with Hao Jingfang, a sci-fi author who early on said similar things about Gong Jun’s acting. This year she encouraged whalers to attack Gong Jun and claimed she had tried to contact lawyers to sue him for encouraging cyberviolence against Zhang Zhehan. She’s currently muted for politically sensitive posts. She also had work of hers included in an anthology alongside Bai Ying’s boss.
Bai Ying is a reporter for Xinhua News.  -  On 2021-12-01 Xinhua published an article co-authored by Bai Ying interviewing  an unnamed CAPA representative who supported their immoral artist lists. Fans discovered upon digging that Bai Ying himself was a member of CAPA’s ethics committee and in fact had interviewed himself.  -  His career goal is to be a playwright, not a reporter, and he has written several plays funded by CAPA.  -  Fans found his Weibo account, which included posts that were sexually suggestive and critical of China and the CCP.  -  He has continued publishing similar articles throughout this year.   -  He has another online persona that was running with the righteous passersby, claiming to be a female retired CCBI official. He wrote a long essay in 2021-12 that was very sympathetic to fans. The account became known after it kept trying to gift Li Xuezheng money during one of his livestreams, which Bai Ying claimed was accidental.   -  He’s participated in nearly every activity smearing Gong Jun and related to Zhang Sanjian.
Another reporter, Han Dandong, has also written things for CAPA.  -  He has a side account on Weibo that liked and reposted both his own articles and things from righteous passersby.  -  That account also is used to sell homeopathic crystals and includes posts making sexual comments about young women.  -  He had an article about AI face changing technology published in Legal Daily on 2022-12-30. People realized that the Weibo post for this turned on comment selection and left a comment tagging Xie Yihua as the top comment. This was briefly pinned as Legal Daily’s featured post.  -  (Legal Daily itself has done a number of other sketchy things related to 813, including publishing multiple articles slandering Zhang Zhehan and implying the Instagram’s validity. It is likely that this is the work of only select people within Legal Daily, given the size of the organization.)
Many of the people on Weibo who have run away after being exposed are still active on side accounts liking posts related to current happenings.
Fandom is one of the largest markets in China, with huge amounts of money generated from it. This is why so much work goes into embedding fake fans in fandom, manipulating fan behaviour, etc. Our fandom is not exceptional in this respect.
The actions we’ve seen from the Zhang Sanjian scam gang have also been seen by scams aimed at other artist’s fans (badly photoshopped advertisements, peddling cheap merchandise, etc.)
Zhang Zhehan’s fandom was ripe for manipulation after 813 due to the trauma, confusion, and information blackout caused by it. The fact that his fandom is still so active despite his absense is astounding.
Lao Ahyi is a director at Songcheng, an executive unit of CAPA.  -  She was (likely still is) part of Songcheng’s strategy to expand Songcheng into doing online IPs.  -  She’s been planted since 2021-08. Her story was that she was an older lady who had just given birth and was fighting for Zhang Zhehan, and there were rumors put out by Umbrella that she was Zhang Zhehan’s cousin.  -  She has not been visibly active since she was exposed in July, but is still on side accounts.
The most recent person to flee was Shirley (the one who claimed that Zhang Sanjian had been specially invited to the Shanghai Theatre Academy performance), who deleted her Weibo account one hour after being exposed. Deleting a Weibo is a fairly lengthy process, it can’t be done this fast by regular users—the fastest method is by customer service, sending them pictures of your ID, and applying with them to delete your account, and even this usually takes at least 24 hours but can take up to a week. For Shirley to be able to do it so quickly means she is in direct contact with someone at Weibo who was able to do it for her.
A lot of the people who have been exposed are from the education sector, which has suffered massively due to tutors no longer being able to work during the pandemic.
If the scale of the current scam seems unbelievable, remember that 813 itself was a huge scam involving planted fans, water armies, bought out journalists, etc. If CAPA is capable of that, why not this?
Chinese livestreams are hugely profitable to both livestreamers and platforms, it’s a multi-trillion yuan industry. CAPA absolutely have the funds to be financing the scam.
Sophie  -  Was born to a not so well off family. In college she met a sugar daddy and became one of his girlfriends in Shanghai. He’s a very successful business man who has dated stars.  -  She wrote about this on an account that she seems to have lost the password to, on which she talked a lot about the other girlfriends and her life experiences. This is all information she posted publicly herself.  -  The sugar daddy broke with her after deciding to only date more famous women. Sophie then met a bank worker, known online as Umbrella, by whom she has a daughter. He refused to marry her until she had a son. The two of them have a Weibo account where they only talk about and post pictures with the son, never the daughter.  -  Umbrella has a get rich quick mentality but has horrible investment sense that has led to them being in debt.   -  They planted themselves in the Word on Honor fandom in 2021-03 after Umbrella was laid off.   -  She seems to listen to these spaces. 👋👋  -  Sophie filters people for Xie Yihua—no one talks to Xie Yihua without talking to her first.   -  Sophie tried to be on the CP side first but people didn’t like her lol.  -  Prior to 813, Sophie was involved in the Wang Peiwen fake girlfriend rumors. She private messaged Danny, one of the people in the yacht photo, asking if Zhang Zhehan had a girfriend. Danny immediately replied saying that Zhang Zhehan was single but did not deny that he was the person on the boat with his face covered in the photo. The fact that this was Sophie (posting on a side account) was unintentionally revealed by one of the big whaler accounts.   -  On her CPF account, Sophie helped to spread the fake girlfriend rumors: she was the one who identified the girl in the photo as Wang Peiwen. Screenshots she posted claiming to be Wang Peiwen messaging Zhang Zhehan’s studio on WeChat were actually of an account run by Sophie.  -  Sophie is very bad about giving herself away more through the ways she reacts to people exposing her.
A consistent behaviour with the scam gang is them shitting on Gong Jun and trying to blame him for the things that have happened to Zhang Zhehan.
Prayjane (involved in the girlfriend rumors) has likely been involved because her husband is not doing well financially. People like Lexus and Peter don’t have clear motives other than being clout chasers.
Fake Uncle wrote an essay in 2021-07 (on the same day Sophie posted the girlfriend “clairifcations”) claiming to be Zhang Zhehan’s uncle.  -  He claimed to have been there when Zhang Zhehan made his hole in one in golf. Reciepts from the hotel do not support this.  -  He claimed to be a retired police officer who was helping Zhang Zhehan with research for Formed Police Unit. He never went through police training let alone was an actual officer, and the book on another police officer that he claimed to have co-authored was not written by him, the publishing house had never heard of him.  -  He’s friends with Lao Ahyi, she deleted one of her Weibo accounts after Fake Uncle was exposed.   -  The essay led to a lot of rumors against Zhang Zhehan post-813.   -  The essay included an entire paragraph about the tea shop.
We now know that there were people in Zhang Zhehan’s team prior to August who are not to be trusted, so it’s probable that they intentionally gave him bad guidance on how to respond to the various smears going on.
Like Sophie, Lexus’s entire life is online because he’s posted about it himself. Zhang Zhehan had basically everything that Lexus wants (fame, a singing career, good at golf, handsome, etc.). Despite the fact that he has gained some notoriety through his connection to Zhang Sanjian, he is openly resentful of the fact that people only pay attention to him because of that.
Zhang Su (Susu)  -  His entire persona as fans knew him was basically created by fanfic authors and what he said himself. The only times he had publicly interacted with Zhang Zhehan were during the bike trip after they graduated (which Susu did not finish) and on Taste of Time in 2018.  -  He’s signed to an MCN connected to CAPA and his boss is friends with CAPA executives. He also has professional connections with Xie Yihua’s sister.
The way that some of the men in the scam gang (Lexus, Master Wu, Peng Lihu, Su Shifu, Zhang Peichao) behave with female fans is incredibly predatory. A lot of other fake fans have also been found to be middle aged men posing as young women. If any whalers do read these notes, please be aware of this and be cautious.   -  There was one point where they encouraged whalers who had bought the brand’s necklaces to post photos of themselves wearing them in revealing tops and bras.
Candy break! Everyone’s favourite candy from this year:
The hexagon ring behind the glass in Gong Jun’s birthday “leave of absense” letter.
Valentine’s Day, Gong Jun’s 1129 1314 511 kadian, and the photos from where Zhang Zhehan had once taken photos that can be overlayed to make them stand together.
The Anon account, in particular how Zhang Sanjian has reacted to the account regardless of the Anon account’s actual validity.
The fact that Xie Yihua still can’t get in touch with Zhang Zhehan meanwhile Gong Jun has been quite openly travelling with him.
How Xie Yihua never responded to anyone’s investigations until QuelleVous revealed that her Baidu Baike page had been edited on 813, when Xie Yihua panicked and posted a long essay refuting it. Her overreaction is the reason QuelleVous et al. became known to the Chinese side of the fandom.
The picture from Yunnan of “Gong Jun” from behind in a hoodie where the anatomical proportions of his height and shoulders match Zhang Zhehan’s more than Gong Jun’s. Other observations like the thumb, the photos being cut so that the butt isn’t visible, how illogical it is that Gong Jun would change outfits in the middle of taking photos. (It could have been different days, but why would you go to the same place at 5am on two different days?)
In Gong Jun’s belated birthday livestream he mentioned his parents going home the day after he got the cakes while he stayed in Yunnan, so who took that photo of him at the luxury hotel?
When Gong Jun was replying in the birthday AMA and there was two distinct writing styles being used.
How Zhang Sanjian posted an essay a couple days later talking about watching the movie Gong Jun had mentioned in the AMA. Pick a narrative bro, do you hate him or not?
QuelleVous says Xiao Yu bought a motorcycle this year.
Gong Jun’s bodyguard (”Bond-dage”?) could probably tell a lot of stories lol. He appears in a lot of fansite photos but there are times when he’s absent, so there are rumors that the two of them share him. There was also a time during the Legend of AnLe filming where the bodyguard came over to look at the CPF in the mascot costume.
(This humble note taker’s favourite candy was the Ritz Carlton rumor, where Zhang Zhehan and Gong Jun supposedly were seen outside the hotel on Zhang Zhehan’s lunar birthday. 🥺)
Back to serious stuff:
For the Instagram bike trip in August, plane tickets were bought for Zhang Zhehan, Zhang Mama, and Xiao Yu to go to where it started but none of them actually showed up for the flights. Xie Yihua and co. have stopped leaking flight itineraries since QuelleVous revealed this.
Some pretty well known paparazzi have been paid to spread the low quality “chance meeting” photos of Zhang Sanjian. (Fansites at least put up the pretense of being fans and showing fan loyalty, paparazzi just sell to the highest bidder. Why are you trusting them?)
The CPF who initially leaked the 03-01 airport photos that we all thought were Zhang Zhehan (they were not) deleted her account after being questioned about it.
Wendy was the one who told everyone to listen to Su Shifu’s podcast after 813, and she was asking everyone to spread it around.
Sophie was the one who outed the fact that Su Shifu had been fired, using his real name.
Thank you to the Ding Dongs and everyone who has worked to share clarifications about Zhang Zhehan this year. Thank you to everyone who has stayed here and stayed strong for Zhang Zhehan. Thank you to Gong Jun for all the little rays of sunshine.
Let’s hope 2023 brings Zhang Zhehan’s official return, that Gong Jun stays safe and successful, that both of them are able to do whatever they want, and that many many people go to jail.
Happy New Year everyone! 🥳🥳

GJ and ZZH Updates — December 11-17
<<< previous week || all posts || following week >>>
12-11 → Moonshine, a Weibo account that the international whalers get a lot of their fake “information” about Gong Jun from, made a post saying he would no longer be active online. This lasted maybe four days.
→ Kangshifu posted a photo ad featuring Gong Jun.
→ Colgate posted a photo ad featuring Gong Jun.
12-12 → Mengniu posted a photo ad featuring Gong Jun.
→ MUJOSH posted another short video (flashing lights cw) of behind the scenes footage.
→ Hsu Fu Chi posted a commercial featuring one of their stock photos of Gong Jun and soundbites from commercials he did for the same product last year.
→ L’Oreal posted a photo ad featuring Gong Jun.
→ Honor posted a video showing a 3D screen displaying a commercial featuring Gong Jun, showing fans (both solos and CPFs, though it of course focuses on the solos) attending the opening of their newest physical store.
12-13 → Sensitive date: Anniversary of the Nanjing Massacre.
→ Gong Jun reposted a post from Nanjing Memorial Hall in rememberance of the event. His added caption: “Don't forget the national mourning, pray for peace.” The same was also reposted by his studio with the added caption, “Remember history and cherish peace.”
12-14 → At 4am, the Instagram posted a quote and photo of the Argentinian soccer player Messi.
→ MUJOSH posted another behind the scenes video from their photoshoot with Gong Jun. (flashing lights cw) They also posted a video advertising some of the freebies that come with the product line.
→ Kangshifu posted a photo ad featuring Gong Jun.
→ Rumor spread that Gong Jun would not be attending the GQ red carpet event later in the week due to worsening COVID conditions. Several other celebrities including Yang Mi, his costar from Fox Spirit Matchmaker, had already publicly pulled out.
→ BlueOrangebird posted a translation of the interview Zhang Zhehan did for ELLE magazine in April 2021. Also later posted to Tumblr.
→ Rising with the Wind passed government review. It can be expected to air soon!
→ Gong Jun posted to his personal Weibo “I wish for the GQ MOTY annual ceremony to be held successfully”, confirming that he would not be attending.
→ The Instragram posted partial audio for a song. A demo of the same song was leaked as early as October 2021. They also changed the pfp to a photo from the shoot Zhang Zhehan did for 博客天下 that was released on 2021-08-09.
→ CAPA put out their 10th immoral artists ban list, over a full year after the previous one. This time it includes only livestreamers, and it says that those named will be contacted privately by local channels about appealing. There were no hotsearches about this.
12-15 → The full song that had earlier been posted to the Instagram was made available on iTunes, Spotify, and YouTube. 00 (connected to Xie Yihua) openly encouaged whalers in China to use illegal VPNs and make additional accounts on these platforms to artificially increase sales and stream numbers. The song did unfortunately get to #1 on both iTunes and Spotify for a short period before falling below #200 the following day. At the time of this post, Chinese netizens who are not fans have not taken notice to any of this, including marketing accounts not talking about it.
The entire notion of a banned artist trying to make a comeback by releasing a song on only international platforms then encouraging Chinese fans to jump the wall and artificially boost its numbers looks very bad, in case it’s not obvious. Hopefully nothing more comes of this. Fan Observations / Further Info:  -  Although they aren’t supposed to be, songs can be uploaded to Spotify by people who do not have the rights to them, and will not be taken down unless the actual rights holder makes a successful appeal. For example, Gu Meng is currently available on Spotify from someone who is definitely not Zhang Zhehan.  -  There are two artist pages for Zhang Zhehan on Spotify, one of which was his previous international sales specifically through the licensing company 心喜. This company also uses YoYoRock as an international distributer. The new song, however, is through Shanghai Raiyi which seems to have been established specifically for this. I answered an ask about this yesterday which can be found [here].
→ #ZhangZhehan, #ZhangZhehanComeback, and #ZhangZhehanIsHere trended on Twitter.
→ BEAST posted an article for their New Year’s product line to their WeChat, including two photo ads and a gif of Gong Jun.
Tumblr media
→ MUJOSH posted another short behind the scenes video featuring Gong Jun.
12-16 → An Instagram claiming to be the song’s licensing company that had posted the full song the previous day was deactivated, then reactivated 19 minutes later. The reason is unknown but is suspected to be so they can claim CPFs mass reported them. (We did not.) A reminder that Instagram does not work that way.
→ Gong Jun’s studio posted a teaser commercial for BEAST’s New Year’s line. (11:16, 511 kadian) Caption: “This beastly little rabbit is a bit naughty. Will it be able to successfully complete the New Year's performance with the archer @ Gong Jun Simon?” This was reposted by BEAST with the added caption, “🐰🐰🐰🏹️🏹️🏹️💗💗💗” Shortly after, BEAST posted one of the photo ads from the previous day to their Weibo. (1129 kadian)
12-17 → Gong Jun posted a log of eighteen travel photos to his personal Weibo. (11:20, 51120 (“511 love you”) kadian with the date) Caption: “Heard that if one sees sunlight shining on the golden mountains, it would bring good luck. Sharing it here with you.” [quoted translation] He also posted the same to Xiao Hong Shu, caption: “Anyone who sees the golden mountains in the sunshine will know  Very lucky! ! !” and as two posts to Instagram [1] [2] captions: “Two posts  Isn’t it fine 😂” and “Wuhu  Finished posting” Fan Observations:  -  The two photos of Gong Jun from behind fully covered by his hoodie had many people raising eyebrows again. [Here] is a comparison of the shoulders, [here] and [here] are thumb comparisons. (It’s been a while since we last compared thumbs, huh? 😅) Addition 12-21: Another hand comparison.  -  Several of the photos were taken at a hotel beside a golf course which is often used by people who go to play there.  -  One of the photos is of him running towards the mountains. :’)  -  The city is Baisha, the central city for Yunnan’s ethnic minority. The women’s traditional dress for this group is known as “披星戴月”, which coincidentally is one of the lines from Zhang Zhehan’s unreleased song Running To Meet You: “我一定来找你 披星戴月” / “I will definitely come to you, draped in the stars and moon.” :’’)  -  The Instagram captions used spaces rather than punctuation, which is not Gong Jun’s usual writing style on there. I actually checked and he hasn’t written Instagram captions like that at all in at least the last year.
→ Kangshifu posted three photo ads featuring Gong Jun.
→ Charlotte Tilbury posted a photo ad featuring Gong Jun. Addition 12-19: They also posted four photo ads to their Instagram.
Additional Reading: → Flora’s daily fan news thread
