Combine XREAL Air Glasses and the XREAL Beam for Makeshift Drone Goggles
I’ve had a DJI Mavic Air for years. I still get the little craft out from time to time. It’s fun to fly, and the AI keeps my rusty piloting skills from reeking too much havoc when I do. The Mavic Air is an older drone but is still viable with a 4k camera and its 3-axis gimble. I also have the first generation of XREAL’S AIR glasses. Another gadget I’ve gotten a lot of use out of. I started…

Does anyone with keratoconus use the xreal or a virtual screen headset for gaming (steamdeck) or computer work?
My wife suffers from keratoconus and plays video games on her steam deck oled. She also works from a computer. I'm wondering if the xreal will allow her to see better and reduce eye strain. I'm also planning on getting blue light filter lenses for the xreal air 1. What other things do you recommend. I'm curious if she could use a quest 3 or meta raybans. She has a hard time watching TV for long periods of time on our 65 inch TV and gaming on the steam deck screen. submitted by /u/AndrewCanDoAll [link] [comments] https://www.reddit.com/r/Keratoconus/comments/1d2pefd/does_anyone_with_keratoconus_use_the_xreal_or_a/?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=tumblr

At CES 2024, BMW's all-electric iX M60, equipped with augmented reality (AR) glasses, showcased an unprecedented integration of AR technology into the automotive experience. This innovative approach hints at a future where AR enhances both driving and passenger experiences, merging real and virtual worlds seamlessly. During my experience with the iX M60, the Xreal Air 2 AR glasses presented a subtle yet immersive display, projecting navigation cues and safety signals directly into my line of sight. This technology, moving beyond traditional GPS systems, projected green arrows on the road, color-coded safety alerts, and even virtual stop signs, all contributing to a safer, more intuitive driving experience. The AR glasses offered more than just practical applications; they transformed the car ride into an entertainment hub. As we drove through Las Vegas, the AR environment came alive with interactive games and virtual displays, including a simulated 80-inch screen on the visor. This feature not only provided entertainment but also showcased the potential of AR in creating engaging passenger experiences. What truly set the AR experience apart was its intelligent integration with the car’s physical environment. BMW's use of a cabin camera, instead of relying on the AR glasses' camera, allowed for accurate positioning of virtual elements in relation to the car's interior. This thoughtful implementation ensured that the AR elements appeared realistic and cohesive with the car's structure. BMW's exploration of AR in the iX M60, currently a research project, demonstrates the vast potential of this technology in transforming the automotive sector. While there are no immediate plans to incorporate AR glasses or AR windshields in BMW's EV lineup, the insights from this project could significantly shape the future of automotive experiences. This demonstration of AR in a car at CES 2024 represents a breakthrough in how we interact with and perceive our driving environment. BMW's venture into automotive AR technology is a testament to the innovative possibilities at the intersection of technology and car design, potentially revolutionizing the automotive experience for drivers and passengers alike.
