Any sickfic/emeto headcanons for your two new OCs?

owo? is this a chance for me to infodump about my OCs?

general sickfic headcanons:

yamio

He doesn't understand the concept of asking for help. He thinks he's self-sufficient but really, it's the result of having nobody to turn to for a long time.

Has a high pain tolerance. He's gone through a good amount of physical agony in his life, and has plenty of adverse experiences he can compare a current one to.

That being said, he's not the type to underestimate pain. He'll seek help if he feels that something is actually wrong.

Goes quiet when he feels unwell. He'll try to work through the discomfort if it's not serious, which ends up worsening his condition.

Has some trouble coming to terms with being cared for. He'll feel extremely bad if someone misses work from taking care of him.

Once in a while, he'll get knocked off his feet from a trauma episode. When that happens, he usually tries to sleep it off and drink something cold.

alban

Admits it if he's not feeling well, though he downplays his symptoms to keep worry off him. Gets into sticky situations because he's just said "it's a mild headache" and 10 minutes later he feels like passing out.

Doesn't get to play games with his health. If he eats or sleeps like shit, it'll immediately give him indigestion or tension headaches.

Likes physical contact when he's feeling unwell. If there's no one around, he'll pull blankets on himself and try to imagine he's being cuddled.

He's shy about wanting comfort, though. He'll admit being sick but he won't let it slip that he wants to be held. But the way he slackens into a hug makes it obvious.

Has a bad habit of making comparisons. He'll try to tough it out if someone gets sick at the same time as him.

Gets sick only a handful of times per year, but it hits hard. He'll have an awful fever for one or two nights and suffer through the worst of it, then go on a sharp road to recovery.

His motion sickness is so, so bad. Needs medication on most forms of transport. It can easily leave him down for a couple of hours.

Closes his eyes when he pukes. The dizziness and seeing the actual vomit can make the nausea worse, so he turns off the lights when he's sick.

Not a loud puker. Doesn't really whine or talk when he's throwing up, but you'll hear really pathetic-sounding exhales that signify his discomfort.

Though not emetophobic, he'll try to put off vomiting if he can. Especially if it's a type of sickness that won't get better after throwing up; he'll just try to sleep it off.

Hates making a mess. He'll keep the bathroom or basin in close view if he feels nauseous. If he doesn't make it, he'll try his best to clean up himself. He'll only ask for help if he's way too out of it to do it himself.

Throwing up drains all the energy out of him. He'll more than likely try to sleep afterwards, or lean his head against someone else. will need a good 12 hours to recuperate.

alban

Gets nauseous if he overindulges or has one too many drinks. Poor guy will be sitting there rubbing his stomach and groaning, cursing himself for not stopping earlier.

He will try and get everything up if he thinks it'll make him feel better. Willing to stick his fingers in his throat and get it over with.

His retches are very guttural and you can hear it from another room. He can't throw up quietly.

Tends to lean his arm against the wall when he pukes. Not willing to touch the toilet seat no matter how sick he feels, thinks it's disgusting.

Whines and groans when he's nauseous. "God, something's really not agreeing with me..." "It's just not going away." endless complaining when he's in front of people he trusts.

Recovers quickly from puking, but takes it easy for a while. The type to grumble while cleaning up and rinsing out his mouth.

Tbh Yamio was making about $700 or so on patreon judging by way back machine 2021 snapshot. She's down to $400 now so it seems some of the community have become aware enough to drop their pledges. I know one of her mods is in the $150 apprentice tier because they're an absolute simp and of course Yami can have their money because they're such good friends despite Yami taking 2 years for a redesign comm. The apprentice tier was a joke because Yami never followed up with that reward anyway.

It's still $400 a month she's making for doing nothing at all and scamming people.

While we should be gentle and respectful about it, it's more than fair to be angry "over a drawing" if that drawing cost a lot of money and you either didn't get it or, in the case of CS MYOs, couldn't get approval for it because the owner/approver is MIA. (It's more than fair to make it an official OC for yourself at that point, though, and mention somewhere it was a MYO that never got approved because of staff disappearance.) Annie MYOs, if I recall, were quite expensive and also had an expiration date.

It's also not unreasonable to be upset that, after making a fair bit of cash--and still making cash on what appears to be a near-abandoned Patreon--, the owner disappears, although this is one of those cases where you have to give a lot more leeway due to the circumstances. A lot.

It doesn't matter if the artist was a scammer or if they sadly passed away. That said, I hope that Yamio is living a healthy life. If she returns, I also hope that she'll clean up Annies a bit. Maybe open the species? Revamp them? They aren't exactly a super unique concept even by kemonomimi standards.

More than one staff member of that CS seems to have gone MIA, too, though it can be a bit difficult to tell since a lot of people left DA starting around Eclipse.

wyngrow: lmao . owner is a narcissist who thinks everything bad happening isn’t her fault. clear favoritism. p2p mechanics. tracing without permission, still using ex-mod’s artwork, the list goes on there’s a comprehensive blog for it

milqilins: lmao lmaox2 big tiddy cow species you’d think would be simple but somehow riddled with problems. constant accounts of racism, favoritism, loli/sho pedophilia, and people cheating to get another myo ticket. they all look the same but turning one into a subspecies cost 500$ 

griffia: enough drama to end up on reddit boring. keep changing and redesigning mechanics that didn’t need to be fixed while offering less and less rewards. idk what’s happening but i know novinaut things haven’t gotten any lore in 4 years

grems: the same as above but i still hope densy gets hit by a truck. too expensive, somehow thinks their magic blood is special. no lore or arpg despite promising it. just shit out on-base adopts for 300 dollars each. has the most prolific hoarders like digimitsu and soyu-k. i remember a whole fiasco with users asking for changes a few months and idk how that’s going 

scarfox: original owner kakiwa let an offbrander turn their illegal scarfox into a legal one for free. lots of people butthurt since before it’s been really hard to get one. kakiwa gives species to darci. darci proceeds to beat her cash cow to death and pretend she created the species. shits out the ugliest adopts with her asskissers enarista and benaberry and tanks scarfox value. often sucks money from community to pay for expensive adopts. somehow thinks she’s a business owner. makes controversial changes without running them by users or even staff and gets defensive when there’s backlash. the current face of how not to run a species.

kebanzu: idk about them but they’re dogs and you need to pay to give them scars or missing limbs

worcimex: idk again but i think the owner left everyone high and dry for a while with no explanation

browbirds: expensive af with people thinking it’s worth and arm and a leg for an ugly furry. probably most unfair arpg grind i’ve seen so far with high exclusivity. owner basically uses it as a circlejerk with friends only

tomoyokis: boring. literally humans with container parts. the poorman’s dainties

dainties: humanoids with deer legs and socks. somehow the most successful business model. most of the mods can’t design though and they only thing to do is trade fodder for better things because people will give their firstborn for a CB slot

grabuki: they’re ugly as fuck and nothing happens from what i’ve read

impims: they’re also ugly and kunmao’s a lazy piece of shit so expect anything to take weeks. no trait restrictions at least but then it comes down to whoever can get the pop designs

chimereons: the one i hate the most. full of kids and greedy assholes. rampant “full resale+swaps/multiples” for a cham with no traits. incredibly hard to break into and only defining ‘feature’ is their nose horns and curled tails. which means shit like this is considered perfectly valid. also insanely expensive with an owner whose too busy drawing furry porn. mods also don’t do their jobs at all 

annies: slavery lore. owner yamio doesn’t do anything. insane costs and fanbase for what boils down to anime girls. i have no idea what an annie even if and I want them to burn

esks: mods can be hostile i’ve heard. forced positivity. easy to make but people cream themselves trying to get an owner-made one. they’re uh undead nature dogs i guess if that’s your cup of tea

baobears: these cost hundreds of dollars

midveilers: i stopped playing but people only care about collecting owner-made designs. there’s also bunch of other artists who aren’t as good but still try to sell for the same price so a bunch of designs don’t get sold because no one’s stupid enough to pay 250 dollars for something a highschooler drew. also apparent huge problem with candygore and community full of minors

cccats/skire: no arpg and cost too much for eye-straining on-base adopts. traits of having an extra set of antennae can be 200 dollars alone. bought a small species that immediately turned them from 30$ adopts to 300$ adopts overnight. thinks spending 2 hrs making 10 on-base flat colored adopts is considered a job and too much work

stygian: overly designed deer that i legit have no idea what they do but have a website. way too many traits and nitpickiness on how they look. way too expensive if you wanna buy an official one. like legit they are overly designed to the point it’s always hard to tell what’s what

popunmytimiiwhatever: ripoff of every other humanoid species with hard-to-type weeb name.

packimps: same as above with ugly designs. people only get them to try and uptrade for dainties

Watch her show up now that her community aren't shelling out for her nonexistant rewards.

I use to love Annies too, but I've stopped my patreon support and have been trying to sell my Annies now. No one is really in the market for them since the whole cs is frozen cuz Yamio is MIA.

Everyone knows that it's a bad species to get into. Yamio has honestly fucked herself over. If she has just fucking put in the most bare minimum of effort, she'd still have her golden calf. But now she's just beating a dead horse instead by milking what she can out of her Patreon supporters while she sits around on her ass playing video games.
