I FUCKING DID IT I GOT S+ on Leon A (fuck that noise with the b runs I want to actually use the infinite weapons I have and shoot specific zombies in the face because they keep getting me). it was hard 2:15:25 and the super tyrant was a twerp and yeah I did it now I need a lie down

I also beat the first tofu survivor which was fun

for steam achievements I just have the sherry one and the no way out one then I'll review my feelings about the rest of the ghost survivors to see if I beat them or not

I can’t remember how many achievements I have left on re2 but it’s quite a few. It’s harder with the different playthroughs. I’m still working on re8 😆

I feel like it is also a good time to remind everyone that uh— after killing Caesar the other senators fled from the assassins, who then decided to go parade through the streets declaring the freedom from tyranny.... and the public also shut their doors and hid from them. Like this was not considered a “cool move”. This was not a liberation.

Caesar was a dictator, but he was beloved by every day citizens, not reviled. He was not a tyrant. When he defeated the armies of his enemies? He let them go. Generals who had taken the side against Rome in the civil war. He let them live and even return to and keep their property. Caesar was merciful and went to great lengths to reform Rome and try and heal the aftermath of the civil war.

The reasons they killed him were: 1) prevent his further growth in power, 2) prevent him from becoming king and losing their OWN personal power, 3) for basic human shit like revenge. His death ultimately led to a second civil war and brought about the very destruction of the republic those senators and nobles claimed to want to preserve.

The people loved him and wanted him to be king. The senators and nobles, aka RULING CLASS, hated him and saw him as an enemy to their own authority. His assassination was carried out by a small group of elitist assholes who were only motivated in preserving their outdated crusty ass ways, like most rich political men.
