what i did the past few weeks... is create a 5Ds animal crossing island!! and good god i have sunk deep into it!

SO I made three Island Residents, and I’m kinda proud of how they look

Jack:

(NOTE: Yusei and Jack’s custom outfits are NOT my own! They are from a Pinterest user from a 3DS custom pattern! will add the link in edit when i find it!) The hair is the same (kind of) spikes, honestly jack was the hardest (wink) to make because of eye colour (so he has brown eyes in animal crossing...) and the hair is obviously nowhere near as spiky and blonde :(  Jack is the Resident Rep, the one I started the Island with, mostly because I was going to use him to make the most money and basically be... KING... of the island. haha - YUSEI:

(the boots are the recycled boots because of course yusei would wear stuff from junk... I mean..... its yusei)

I LOVE the square-y eyes, and I used them for yusei because theyre the most accurate to his anime eyes which kind of have a square shape but are also pointed........ also i didnt want to reuse the eyes i used for Jack so. I’m so happy you can use custom designs as face paint... he has his signature marker which makes it more obvious who I’m trying to make!!! (this might be why i least like Jack’s villager look... no marker = no distinguishing feature :(( )

I give Yusei all the crafting recipes I can to make sure i keep track of what DIY recipes I know (balancing it through 3 accounts is impossible!) also he has a second outfit with just the basic tank top and a tool bag which I loVE the physics of this game!! the bag bounces when you walk at a medium pace itS SO CUTE i love this game omfg

oh and yusei hates bugs like blathers, thank you 5Ds dub ep 2 for that totally not forgotten lore : )

Crow’s hair is as accurate as it can be, without that damn bandanna!! i dont even think theres a headband-bandanna item in the game so thats not happening! (he looks bald without it agh)

Crow is mostly my “museum-lover” account - whenever theres new fish/bugs i need, or just to go around collecting the daily fossils, i make sure its through crow (although im very disloyal and often just cba swapping acounts so i catch stuff with yusei and jack because as i said im lazy)

rant vent i need to cry

I’ve always wondered exactly how relationships are supposed to work. Are they natural? Are they work? Are they a mix of both? What’s the ratio? Is this too much work? A normal amount? Am I giving up enough of myself? Should I have to give up pieces of myself for you? Shouldn’t you have to give up pieces of yourself for me? I feel as though I’m the only one struggling. You never worry about these things. You never break yourself down and reuse the pieces to create an image you think I’d enjoy. 

I’m queer. I may just be gay. I have no idea I have no frame of reference I’ve only ever been with you. You’re straight. At least for the most part. You have no interest in labels. No interest in understanding that part of yourself. So you can’t understand me. You can’t understand how I wonder if I’m being true to myself. You cant understand how I fall a little bit in love with every woman I meet, and how it kills me to know I can’t ever actually let myself fall for her, or anyone. You can’t understand how much I feel like I dont belong. I dont feel like I belong to the LGBTQ community. Because am i lying? I dont think so. I dont feel like i am. I love women. Follow up rat questions! Is it okay to house male rats together? And do you have suggestions for affordable/inexpensive housing for about three rats? Im seriously considering adopting three rats from my local humane society but wanna get their housing secure first since i dont make much money (full time student). I think ive seen people make temporary housing with plastic tub/containers and that would be ideal but if a rat mansion is reccomended i dont mind paying up

Yes, housing male rats together is okay, per se. Or rather, housing same sex groups in general is okay, and the caveats have more to do with age and the pre-existing relationship than the sex of the animal. In the pages linked above, the articles on rat introduction have a lot of info on this. In a nutshell: If you have juvenile rats who grow up together, they will generally get along just fine later in life. Introducing juveniles to adults is a bit more iffy (though quite doable), and introducing adults to adults is very iffy, and it does not really get less iffy if you have males or females.

You know, I actually made a DIY cage, but looking back on years of using it, I have to say it’s more trouble than it was worth. DIY may be in theory cheaper, but a good store-bought rodent cage should come with all the following benefits: 1) multiple doors in sufficient sizes, both to get the rats in and out and also to reach in and clean or customise, 2) being easy to accessorise, in terms of attaching new platforms/hanging mats/tunnels/etc. 3) being safe, in terms of bar spacing and escape-proof-ness, 4) being easy to disassemble in case you have to move or do a deep cleaning or something.

Maybe if you’re lucky enough to live in an area with these storage cube wire panels in the right mesh size (no larger than 1.5 cm, I’d say (EDIT: Something like this? )) you could give it a try. These plastic bin DIY cages you mention: know some people make these complex cages out of them, interconnected bins, but there are several problems with this. Unmodified bins don’t work because they have shit ventilation (which is important for rats) and are frankly too small. Plus, where do you attach platforms and accessories to? Etc. What some people do is basically turn the plastic tub walls into these cut-out windows covered with hardware cloth/chicken wire, essentially using the plastic bin only for the structural stability, and I suppose that could work, I have not tried this. But I have worked with hardware cloth and it’s an absolute pain. Oh, also: rats will gleefully chew through plastic.I just pictured a determined rat trying to chew on the edge of a plastic ‘window’ and then hurting itself or getting stuck between the plastic and the chicken wire while trying to squeeze out, and it’s not a good image. You do not want this anxiety in your life, and honestly, with ALL the modifications you would have to make to make the DIY cage rat-worthy and safe, you honestly might as well just save up for a decent store-bought one.

As tempting as it is to try to find a cost-effective solution for this, I do recommend to just buy a nice cage made for rats/chinchillas/degus instead. I honestly wish I had done that instead.

This CritterNation is a good example of a cage for like…a couple of rats, provided you use the space well i.e. fill it with interesting stuff for them to explore and hang around in. It looks easy to clean, it’s decently big, it has wheels you can use to move it around, it’s both large in terms of floor area and tall enough so that rats can jump and run around but also climb up, it has decently-sized platforms (and you can always add extra ones). A new one might cost over a hundred bucks, but it’s also pretty common to find people in online ads giving away cages for cheap, just be sure to clean them well. I would call this a rattie starter home. A proper rat ‘mansion’ would be something like twice its size.

The good news is that unlike the cage itself, accessories for the cage can actually get real cheap. (At least notwithstanding the urge to hopelessly spoil your rats constantly..) A lot of things can be repurposed into platforms (for instance I have a ‘fridge shelf’ in my cage, of course you have to cover up the wire, rats need their platforms to be solid and smooth or they can hurt their feet). Dollar store plastic baskets are super cheap and great, just put them everywhere. Fancy pet store hammocks are expensive but you can make basically the same thing out of rags or clean washcloths, I tend to just fold them together and pinch the ends with cable binders and attach that to the cage. Reused cardboard boxes (firm ones) will go a really long way. Accessorising is not a one-time thing, because switching up the cage interior is a good way to keep the ratties engaged (yet another reason why it’s good to have a cage that’s easy to customise, as opposed to me, who made a DIY cage with areas that are extremely uncomfortable to reach if I want to attach a hammock there or something).

I do have to warn you that it’s a good idea to have quite a substantial rat fund in case of an emergency. Namely: Vet bills. Though rats don’t really require regular checkups or the like that you’d get for dogs (for vaccination, for example), the vet costs can stack up really high if something happens. That’s something you need to keep in mind if money is an issue, so it doesn’t catch you off-guard.

Pokédex (Your perfect/favorite team): this one is kind of tough to answer, coz i dont really use set teams and i am very indecisive! like i just sorta add pokemon whenever i feel like it on an impulse, and switch through them pretty quickly? like ill have a whole other team and a half in the pc that i take out sometimes to mix with whoever im using at the time. so im not really sure how to answer this! sorry for not having a better/more specific response! 

Ultra Ball (Favorite Pseudo-legendary(ies): I’m! gonna use this question to ramble a little, like more than the previous one so sorry in advance this is gonna be long? theres not too many pseudo-legendaries so im just gonna list them! and say stuff that way!! mini list in this ask list! im only talking about the final evolution coz if it was the whole line thisd be WAY too long 

Dragonite: its so round and huggable!! and cute!!!! i really like the darker colour it was in gen 5/dpp! its also super interesting how the wing colour of its shiny has gone back to how it was in gen 2 now. in general dragonite is great i dont think its one of my favourites compared to some of the others but its still very good!!! so cute, so so cute. 

Tyranitar: this one is probably my actual least favourite, its not bad i do like it a lot it just appeals to me less, not really for me yknow? but its very cool!! i wanna hunt one in gen 2, speaking of shinies its interesting to me how its normal mega goes from blue pattern to red, but its shiny is the same colour. its sprite in silver is the best it looks like it missed the bus and is just now processing that D : 

Salamence: its! so! flat! just a squished lizard that has a batarang attached to its back! i love salamence a lot its very very good, its name is hard to spell though. why is its mouth orange in its shiny but its mega has a pink mouth, thats a weird thing to change. they really did change its colours a lot actually just, slowly over time, looking at these sprites. thats cool! i prefer the red to the orange, though the darker blue of gen 3 is very nice : O !salamence!! is very very good! veryverygood/10! 

Metagross: I LOVE METAGROSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I LOVE!! METAGROSS!!!!!!! one of my favourite pokemon just in general!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love it i love it so much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the shiny is perfect and how its mega references its normal colours and the normal mega references its shiny? PERFECT!, gold n silver together i love in general!!! and steel and psychic are a couple of my favourite types!!!!!! I love metagross so SO much!! im gonna stop talking here coz if i dont ill just keep repeating my self but i really love metagross a lot a lot alot!! it with the beldum following it that image apart of the pseudo legendary thing its SO cute

Garchomp: garchomp is cool!! i think in my brain its on level with tyranitar? i dont have much of an attachment to it and i sorta forget it exists. but its cool I like it!!!!!!!! its shiny mega is SO good, love that! also pokemon gender differences are so stupid. and it looked better in sprites i think, it looks like they reused its sprite from dpp for black and white, i didnt know that! but, yeah! garchomp is pretty neat! i like its name

Hydreigon: HYDREIGON IS ANOTher one of my super super favourites!!!!! its so cool and its shiny is creepy like zombie colours, love love green and purple together!!! and its a dark type i love dark types!!!!!!!!!!!!!! did you see the deino hand puppet thats a part of the new pseudo legenday thing theyre doing i want it its so cute sfjksfd. so like putting that over in my head my favourites are metagross, hydreigon and goodra, followed then by kommo-o, then salamence/dragonite then garchomp/tyranitar at last. but i do love them all a lot!!

We do have a lot of stock photography website that offers royalty free images but you need to buy them. Today we will look at more than 33 sites which can give you images without having to purchase them. I am sure you will be surprised to know some of these sites. We have painstakingly curated all these sites, that too after using their services. So yes, you need not worry all these sites are tried and tested by the donkeys.

Oh, and yeah let’s look at a few licensing things before we proceed so that everyone is on the same page.

Oh yes!, you need not sign up to download the images. A quick search of the word “Digital Marketing” gave us the below first image.

2) Free Digital Photos Image Sources

If you are looking to use the photographs in smaller size such as for social post or blog post featured images, then Free Digital Photos is the very good resource. Though the max free size download is pretty small you can still purchase the higher resolution for a nominal cost. The search term “Customer” returned the below first image. Oh and we had to attribute it as required by their license.

3) Dreamstime

Dreamstime has almost 1800 free images when we checked last time. All their free images are under the CC0 license so you are basically free to download for commercial use. No signup required and some of the images are of very high resolution touching almost 70 Megapixel. For our search keyword we did find 9 images.

4) Free Images

Free Images has a ton of stock images in the range of close to 400 thousand. However, to use them the signup process is there plus the images are of limited size not like what Pixabay offers. The resolution of some images will disappoint. One more point that needs to be remembered is the keywords that are associated with some images are not accurate. Our search word “Digital Marketing” gave some weird barcode photo results.

5) IM Free

IM free or rather I am Free website gives you certain really high resolution images. But how to download those images is a very lengthy process. The search is pretty lame as most of the keywords you will type will not give any results. The only way is to browse through categories. Our search word “digital marketing” did not yield any results. But simple searches like cars will give good images.

6) Morguefile

Though morguefile has free image search facility, its specialty lies with searching stock photography. The images are easy to download with no signup required. Our search word “digital marketing” did gave results and pretty high resolution.

7) RGB Stock

RGB Stock is another good resource for free photographs. Especially if you are looking for background photos for presentations. We did try our search keyword here and it returned couple of images. Signing is easy as it offers using our Google username.

8) Ancestry Images

If you are looking for free images of historical prints or importance then this is the place to look at. It’s also got a lovely map section where you can download old maps like the one you see here below. No signup required to download images.

9) Bigfoto

Bigfoto gives you an interesting collection of pictures. Most photos are arranged as cities and countries and taken by normal people like you and me are may not be pros at photography. But the images are clear and sharp like the one you can see below of a lake in Switzerland. There is not search feature here.

10) Little Visuals

Little Visuals was a good initiate by a young man named Nick. Wherein you get 7 hi-res images in your inbox for free. But sadly Nick is no more since 2013 and hence the photo’s are not updated though the website is still up and running and will be until July 2017. Another good website to find free for commercial usage photographs. All pictures are of high resolution. They have been captured by Ryan McGuire.

Stockvault is a photo sharing website for free and also use those photographs for non-commercial use.

29) Public Domain Pictures

This site gives you good pictures from stock photos but with the option of downloading free low-res images. Some of pictures are not so low resolution so can be used for any purpose but do read the license.

Free Photos Bank has a nice collection to offer. They have both free and stock photos so pick and choose what you want.
