First thing first, here i just want to peacefully discussing about “cross-cultural discourse” in AoT story building, so please don’t be mean to me, okay guys? 😰😭

Well. I always imagine that the first time they doing sex, it is also the first time for Mikasa (especially) to lose her virginity. And she loses it to Eren. Her first time is a bit painful (but she enjoys it—oops), and... here we go, I always imagining that Mikasa will be a bit bleeding because of her process of losing virginity (LMAO i don’t know if i’ve expressing that with correct words), even if they have been doing such a foreplay before? Now, please don’t get me wrong. 😭 It is because I see that their story is somewhat built based on Asian culture influence.

Since Isayama is Japanese (Asian), I see that he somewhat injected his cultural background into his manga/story, even if the setting of AoT story is nowhere in Asia continental but in Paradis/Marley/fictional places. In Asian, they tend to romanticize virginity where the presence of virginity blood (?) at the first time sex often considered to be romantic. And, sometimes, i see some of them even “glorify the virginity blood” during first time sex. 😳

This might sound a little weird to Westerners (or foreigners as Japanese called), but Asian really don’t talk about sex explicitly or openly just like NA/Western people do. And maybe this is one of the reasons why Isayama likely “shy” to drawing kissing scene of Eremika. Lol. 😂 Well, of course there are another thing as JAV or hentai, but it’s like completely different separated side of this common Asian culture. It’s like totally 180° separated. I know it because i was once see an interview with Maria Ozawa (yep that JAV legend! 😌) where she said that her family and friends immediately drive her off and leave her when they find out about her JAV debut/video. She even forbidden to use a train station she used to take to school, because her act is considered to be embarrassing/humiliation.

cuz honestly mood, lol I very much appreciate that tho about asian cultures, it's very refreshing compared to western views! So losing one's virginity isn't quite as special or as romantic anymore, which kinda sucks in some ways but is good in others.
