(hi im back I got scared bc I worried I'd focused too much on myself in my last ask and the demons took over Help) idk why im shocked that there aren't any fics unique to wattpad I dont think the boyboy following is a wattpad bunch we're all old pretentious fucks (endearing). I rly hope they're cool with fics,,, i hope they Get It,,, that would be really sick. they've surprised me before, they can do it again!

Some fundamental religious ppl who actively teach kids not to question anything for exmpl the yt video 'Awful Things We Believed at My Evangelical University'. There are ppl who use a certain version of religion to manipulate ppl into doing what they want. The video has really sad examples of emotional abuse using a version of religion, shaming ppl and make them feel they can never live up to Gods standards (lowering confidence) and feel unworthy of any love & noone but God could ever love them

First and foremost. I am a Christian. (And I am going to get rather heated about this discussion (Not at you anon, but just the topic at general because I really dislike religious corruption) So I am putting a read more.

So this whole garbage that certain religious institutions do, REALLY pisses me off.

People using God’s word and twisting it for their own ends is absolutely disgusting to me.

I hate that people do this, it gives believers a bad name.

And this premise goes against the very essence of His word.

I would be remiss if I didn't mention how This religious abuse also disturbingly common in multiple religions, and its disgusting to see.

Its a cult methodology that I absolutely loathe. Making people feel lower than they are to force them to accept your beliefs.

Imagine being one of those sick individuals that SHAMES people to make them believe what you believe. Bullying them, silencing them, attacking them and psychologically abusing them in order to make them say what you want them to. (Wow this also sounds like a problem in society in general when you apply it broadly.)

I have some friends that have gone through such a system, and I have pleaded that it wasn't the way. But they were too far gone.

Circling back.

What truly defines a Christian is the following:

1. Acknowledging our flaws because we are sinners.

2. Accepting that Jesus died for our sins.

3. That the only way to heaven is accepting him as our savior.

Our debt has been paid after that. We can now reach God.

After that our purpose is read the word, try to be better individuals, and share Gods love with others. Does that mean we have to tell people that somethings are wrong? Yes, but in a loving way. Not in a fire and brimstone way. We are not above or beneath others. For we are created in the Lord’s image and we have the freedom to decide our destiny. Jesus died on the cross to give us a choice.

And people can also choose not to believe any of this. But that is their decision to make. I do highly recommend people do read the Bible (all of it). Come to their own conclusions. It really does make a difference.
