HE HOLDS HIS BREATH AND COUNTS TO TEN  .          it helps sometimes  ,     with the impatience and everlasting anger bubbling dangerously beneath his skin  .         this sinful bang of envy constantly lurking in the dark of every corner  ,     waiting for the perfect moment to strike and allow grotesque hatred to show its grimace through venomous words  .          it is a flame that never goes out  ,     never wavers no matter how strong the wind  .          five can’t say why  ,     doesn’t know where these feelings come from  .          he just is  .

angry  .

maybe their father is to blame  ;     pitting them against each other like circus animals               no  ,  worse  .          like blood - thirsty dogs no one is betting money on as they slaughter each other in the ring  .           their abilities today’s entertainment program to watch and enjoy  .           the winner gets a brief nod of approval  ,     the loser gets to bathe in the stench of failure  .         live your best life with more training units in a week and going to bed without dinner  !         you don’t want to be the loser  ,     not only for the punishment  ,     but because it means you’re not good enough  .          congratulations  ,     your sibling kicked your ass and you embarrassed yourself to the bone  .          

needless to say five hates to lose               despises it with every fibre of his body  .          it’s not who he is  !          success driven  ,     arrogant  ,     smarter than all of them  .          he possesses all the assets to beat them  ,     beat his brother  .           always at an advantage to dodge their attacks or surprise them with his own  .         it’s too easy to make them trip and fall  ,     catch them off guard from behind only to reappear on the other side of the room               far from where their hands are reaching to grab nothing but air  .          

and   yet   he   loses  .
