I am someone who does not read poetry. I prefer prose, but I had studied Brecht's work in the past, and so when I came across this poem pretty much randomly, I came across recently, I kind of stopped dead in my tracks.

I have been a cynic for as long as I can remember, and this poem just captured my thoughts perfectly in just 27 lines.

Pretty much a downer for my first post here. Sorry.
