Hello,

I'm not sure if you are still active on this blog, but I posted my first story post today and I think it would be great if I could be featured on your blog since you are the only proper story reblog blog I could find here on Tumblr. I’m lucky I didn’t break the door right off it’s hinges the way I busted through it. Lacey gave a small squeak as I rushed into the room panting like a mad man. “Merlot! You scared the day lights out of me!”

Rushing to her side, I did a small inspection to make sure she was really okay.

Her cheeks were flushed from embarrassment, “I guess Bubbie told you what happened.” she said sheepishly. “Really I’m fine. I had a little slip in the shower and hit my head on the way down, but I’m fine! It just goes to show you water truly does hate me!”

I willed my heart to stop beating a hundred miles an hour, but nothing seemed to help. Intense throbbing continued in my ear drums as my blood pressure spiked. “No bumps?” I asked breathlessly. “We should go to the hospital?”

Lacey laughed and kissed me on the end of my nose and it helped my heart to relax a little. “No, worry wart. I’m fine really. There’s barely even a bump.” Carefully she guided my hand to the back of her head to feel. “See.”

We were only inches from each other and I couldn’t help but kiss her like I might not ever see her again. “I’m sorry I wasn’t here.”

Chapter 1: Cyndy’s Song

The dusty town of Delfield was holding a future star, you hear me? Moses was Picasso and the guitar was his paintbrush. The colors he saw when he closed his eyes and strummed those metal strings were like nothing you’d see in real life. 

“Please don’t tell me you’re writing another song for Cyndy.” Moses could feel Kaur rolling his eyes all the way from the computer desk. Some gaming tournament was going down and Kaur had high stakes riding on it, or so he claimed as he freeloaded off his wifi. 

“Why do you give a shit?” Moses asked as he quickly jotted down the riffs he was playing.

“It’s not going to win her back dude, remember that.” Kaur focused mainly on the game but took breaks in between matches to remind Moses how much his ex-girlfriend still hated him.

“I’m not trying to win her back.” Moses shook his head as he set the pen down and placed his hand back onto his guitar to pluck a cord.

“Sure, okay, mhm..” Kaur chuckled, fully knowing that Moses wrote every song for Cyndy. The girl did him dirty, she lied, cheated, played games, and worst of all, she hated cats. Moses loves her though, she’s definitely got some kind of hex over him or something. 

Moses set his guitar down on it’s stand as he got up from the bed and stretched his legs, they were falling asleep. Kitt, the orange tabby, came leaping onto the bed to play with the posters on Moses’s wall. 

Moses couldn’t help his thoughts as they drifted back to Cydny, he sighed.  “Okay what?” Kaur hesitantly asked as he finally looked away from the laptop.

“Do you think she’ll be at Nicks Basement tonight?” Moses asked as he sat back down on the edge of the bed. 

“She’s always at Nicks Basement. I’m sure she’s screwed her way through all the bands that play there. God I know she did with our…” Kaur stopped as he noticed Moses’ face. 

“Okay, I gotta get going. I’ll see you tonight at the Nicks, be there at 9, don’t bring that song you were just working on either.” Kaur closed his laptop and headed out, scratching Kitts head as he did. 

“Oh I’m bringing that damn song.” Moses mumbled under his breath as he picked up the guitar and worked on it some more.

Oleander: “So that’s why you’ve been having so many headaches lately?” 

Artemisia: “I mean … yeah.” 

Oleander: [sighs] “You can stay home for today, but this is by no means a permanent solution. We will have to figure out a way for you to still be able to go to school. Would it help if you could spend your breaks in my office?” 

Artemisia: “…Probably.” 

Oleander: “I will get you a key, then. That way you can also be there when I have my day off.”

Jade: Where is she? Where is my daughter?! Principal Howard: Mrs. Lowry? I’m afraid I don’t know what you’re talking about. 

Jade: You’re in on it! Everyone is against me! You’re all teaming up against me to keep me from MY child!

Principal Howard: Julian is not here. May you remember us having a conversation of her suspension a couple weeks ago? And truly, I have little to no say in regards to your custody arrangement. 

Nathan: You tell us where our daughter is right now or I’ll make you! Principal Howard: I’m afraid I’m going to have to ask the both of you to leave.  Nathan: We ain’t leaving until we have our child! 

Principal Howard: This is a school and threats of any kind will not be tolerated! I will ask you one last time to leave before I have you forcefully removed. 

Nathan: I’d like to see you try. I’ll snap your head from that tiny body! Jade: If she’s not here then I think I know where she might be. Come on! Nathan: You got lucky, twig boy.

Principal Howard: What is wrong with some people?
