As I always like to say, our focus determines our direction whether it is conscious or unconscious💫 🕸 Lately my focus has been centered on allowing myself to feel even if it’s deeply uncomfortable, and because of that certain situations have occurred that has challenged the hell outta me😩 🕸 With some Shadow Work I uncovered that I’m mad sensitive and can take things personally. It honestly comes from me feeling like a burden or not feeling “good enough” as a child, and it’s something I have to closely monitor to remind myself that those things aren’t true. I am a gift, I’m stronger than I thought I was, and I know my worth even if others can’t see it🙏🏾 🕸 So from now on, focus on what you want in life rather than things that don’t serve you. Need I say more? Okay maybe just lil bit haha. 🕸 This is my exact stance when approaching Shadow Work💫 It’s more than a mental and spiritual practice, it challenges everything we’ve been conditioned to believe and forces us to unpack how we’ve internalized them. 🕸 We gotta remember that we’ve been taught to demonize darkness and praise the light, which is extremely symbolic of systemic racism🤷🏾‍♀️ And fr fr we need to stop splitting our consciousness up into “light” and “dark”. We are all whole and have to reprogram our subconscious minds into seeing our darkness as a part of us rather than something separate. 🕸 Also just a reminder that spirituality and social justice go hand in hand. They both are necessary for us to get to the root of our deepest fears, consider how society has impacted them, and heal holistically from all that we’ve internalized.
