Thanks for the cake. The plan with not telling my family about it didn’t work out because they all saw it. Nobody except for George even asked for a piece, though. And it was really good – Fred Weasley approved.

If I didn’t know any better, I’d say the paragraph about your room sounds almost like an invite?

I am interested in what you read too – here’s your chance to tell me about it. And I think I’m very nice.

We have moved on Saturday, it’s been very chaotic since. I mean, more chaotic than every day. It’s a huge, old flat in Muggle London. Everything around here needs cleaning or fixing, it’s run down and dusty.

I’m sorry this letter is so chaotic, I haven’t really had the chance to sit down and write. I’ve just been writing bits here and there – I’ve started on Monday, but it’s Wednesday now. If things weren’t weird enough, Anne Hollow, the daughter of my parents’ friends is staying over for a week to ‘help out’. Won’t leave me alone for a second, I swear, she’d follow me into the bathroom if I let her. George is having a laugh at my misery. And she’s very odd, you know? Not mean, or a bad person, just very odd and kind of boring.

Going to France seems nice, I’d like to see it one day. I hope you have a good time. Do you know how long you’re staying? I’m glad you’re so eager to keep writing to me, though. Who would’ve thought, eh?

Can’t wait for your response. Make it a bit longer, would you? Tell me a bit about what you’ve been doing since the last letter, or some story, anything. I need something to get away for a moment. I promise I’ll try to write back quicker next time.

Hi there Y/N,

I know you’re probably wondering why you’re receiving this letter from me of all people. And if I’m being honest, I wonder why, too. But the truth is, I’m writing to you because I missed my opportunity to say in person something I should have said long ago.

I’m a fool for letting you go after I last saw you. When we ran into each other in that tiny cafe, I almost couldn’t believe it was real. I mean, how often do our dreams come to life like that? And then we spent the next few hours talking and it reminded me of all the times we spent together back in school.

You kept me level-headed and calm when the rest of my life was falling apart. I know I thanked you for it then, but no amount of words could convey just how much that meant to me. And how much you still mean to me now.

When we left each other that day, my heart was pounding a million beats a minute and my mind just couldn’t keep up. I wanted to stop you from leaving, to take your hand and pull you back in for even just a little while longer. Because in truth, the time I spent with you that day hasn’t left my mind since. They were some of the best hours I’ve had lately. Not that life has been terribly difficult, I mean, there’s no dark lord coming after me now, so I can’t complain. But there’s been something missing and for just those few hours I felt like maybe I had found it. And I did.

It was you, Y/N. It always has been, but you know I’ve been told that I can be quite thick at times. Not realizing what I have until I don’t have it. And so I’m writing you this letter in hopes that you might have felt something, too. In hopes that maybe you would be interested in joining me for dinner one night, so that maybe we can start something new and exciting.

And look, even if you don’t want to get dinner with just me, I know the others would love to see you, so hopefully you could at least come around to visit them, too. I think Hermione’s been wanting to write to you soon anyway.

That being said, a bunch of us will be getting together for a dinner and game night later this month if you’d like to join.

Y/N, I hope each day is as wonderful as you are, because you deserve the best. And even if you don’t ever care to see me again (I hope that’s not the case), just know that I admire you and I always have. I’m just an idiot for not saying something sooner. So please forgive me for waiting so long to tell you how much I long to see you again.

I do hope you’ll accept or at least consider my invitation to dinner. But I wish you all the happiness no matter what you decide.

“So we’re paying to look at fish?” Fred asks as he parks the car.  

“Yes and you’re going to love it.” You went once as a kid and loved it and you couldn’t wait to share this with Fred.

“Woah..” Fred stares up at the ceiling, his eyes wide as he stares at a giant whale display hanging from the ceiling.

“Cool right?” You nudge his shoulder. He nods quickly like a child and runs in while you pay for tickets.

“Darling! Look at those things!” Fred leans against the glass tank and points out the furry brown creatures.

One of the best things about the burrow is watching the seasons change. From the rainy spring days filled with puddle splashing and watching the sky to the hot summer days of splashing and playing in the lake to the crisp autumn afternoons of raking leaves and watching the leaves change. 

Winter was by far your favorite though. You love visiting the burrow with Fred during the winter. Waking up to the blanket of white snow is the best feeling but the best part was the lake in the backyard freezes over, perfect for a little ice skating and this time you came prepared. 

Fred was, less excited about it. Fred isn’t exactly the most coordinated person in the world and would occasionally trip over thin air but you begged him to go ice skating with you.

Hello peanut,

It’s me, Ron. Well you probably figured that, I mean who else would call you peanut? Hopefully no one else…

Anyway, in case you didn’t know, I’ve been thinking about you lately. Thinking about how much I hope you’ll be able to visit soon, everyone here’s been missing you. Not as much as me, but mum has been mentioning wanting to see you again, something about cooking or baking? And you know I won’t say no to that. In fact, I may have some requests when that day comes.

But for now, I’m left dreaming of that day. Dreaming of the first time I get to hug you again rather than your letters. You know, parchment isn’t nearly as nice to hold as you.

Anyway, I hope you’re doing alright, keeping yourself busy. Not too busy, of course. You should take some time off every once in a while, you know. I like to take time off quite a bit, make sure I’m always refreshed. Some might call it laziness, but I call it careful planning.

Just like I am carefully planning everything we will do when you come back to me.

First, I’m going to hug you. That’s a given, of course. How could I not?

Second, I’m going to make you your favorite meal. I know you, so I’ll have it ready and waiting for you upon your arrival.

Then third, we’re going to sit and cuddle for as long as we want, just soaking in the time we’re afforded.

Fourth, because you’ll be coming around for the next holiday when everyone else comes around too, we will join in the traditional Weasley family quidditch match. I’ll let you decide if you want to play on the same team OR if you want to lose - because let’s face it, you can’t get past ol’ Ronnie here. I’ve got my eye on the quaffle at all times.

Then fifth, you’ll help me ice the injuries I’ll inevitably get because my brothers - and especially Gin - don’t know how to tone it down. And then I’ll request that you stay by my bedside to make sure I’m okay.

And thus we return to number three, where we resume our “snuggling” until we fall asleep together and probably get yelled at by mum - but I don’t care as long as I’m with you. Besides, we’re adults, I think we’re old enough to handle ourselves. At least when we’re not in private.

Did you know that you make me one of the happiest men alive? Because it’s true. You do, and I am.

I love you, Y/N. Don’t you forget it.
