I personally don't think it's transphobic, if I use ""masc "" words for someone and they don't like it, I'll just be like "sorry, my bad gurl" (assuming I'm talking to a transfemme). As a trans guy, I don't want to make people comfortable but. I am just too used to using ""gendered"" words when referring to people,, if a nonbinary person doesn't like dude/bro/girl words I'll just plain ask em what they want me to use. Hell I'll call them cheese if they want lmfao. But that's just my take on the topic. Personally, Ive never run into a person uncomfortable with the way I refer to them, but I am prepared for it if it happens
