“Hm? Oh, it’s the dead-faced mixed guy. I don’t get to meet with people like him often so I sort of instinctively felt the need to make him crack a smile. Talk about a total failure though… He stayed deadpan throughout the whole thing. Not even an annoyed glare or look of confusion. Reminded me a lot of when Asato-kun was a little kid, just no signal inside that dome. I just hope this guy isn’t burdened with something awful. I’d like to see him crack out from his shell, even just a little!”

Mireya Quinlan

“I’m not too familiar with Mireya… A club and casino owner sounds pretty fun though! Places like that aren’t really my thing, unfortunately. I’ll take a chill bar like the Eagle’s Nest over any fancy nightclub. But hey, if Jakurai-kun and his team are feeling adventurous, maybe we can take a peek into there? It could be fun to see Jakurai get even more loose for one night, haha!”

Zakari Hiroya

“Zakari! He’s a riot… In more ways than one from what I hear. I first met him in Shinjuku when he was getting a health checkup from Jakurai. According to him, Zakari-kun is the type to take these daring risks. Which is pretty hard to believe just looking at him! Then again, knowing the people I know, you never know who’s a normal Joe and who’s the adrenaline junkie.”

“It is fun having someone open to hearing my jokes though. It’s a nice change of pace from all the joking around I do with my coworkers… Speaking of which, he’s been so sure that I, Jakurai’s closest friend can’t get him to laugh. Between you and me, it’s the dumb medical puns that make him crack. So long as it isn’t about one of his patients… The look of disappointment from him was painful!”

“This is a pretty interesting lineup… I’d have to guess that since Mireya-san is Zakari’s mom, then Kai would be his dad? So a new family team? Well, I hope they have fun doing this D.R.B. business together. I would hate to see them fall apart over some stuff being thrown around on stage… Heck, I don’t think I can manage to say anything harsh about them. They’re probably one of the nicest teams we’ve been able to review… Aside from a few other teams that I might have some biases for.”

“Hey, its that panicked old guy uncle threw onto me. You know for a guy so in love with his wife, you’d think he would remember their anniversary. He came into the shop all nervous asking if getting a custom gift within two days was possible. And of course, my uncle just laughed and made me crunch out that gift… Two days for a figurine?! Are you kidding me?! At least the whole thing was kinda worth it. I got to save old guy’s ass, his wife was really happy, and I got invited to their VIP room at their nightclub in Roppongi! Well, I’d be happier about that bonus if that guy wasn’t there all the time…”

Mireya Quinlan

“Shit, the old lady’s joining too-I mean, normal lady! Who said old? Ahahaha…”

“Ah, she’s got a scary look man. I accidentally let that slip and she gave me a look like she wanted to strangle me from across the counter. Still, she said she liked my work even if she called it ‘cheap-looking’. Blame your husband for the rushed job, not me... Said she wanted to do more business with me, which I can’t help but feel a little worried about? Like, what the hell could she be wanting from me? I already have that rich bitch from Shizuoka having me run around making her these dumb, extravagant sculptures. I’m getting sick of these commissions all these D.R.B. weirdos keep putting on me.”

“Tch, there’s one of Dice’s new gambling buddies. I wish those pink little freaks would stop bringing him up. I guess I can give them credit though. Without their annoying yapping, I wouldn’t know about this guy. Apparently, they’re two peas in a pod; both really egotistical about their luck, throwing their money around without any care. If that’s really the truth, I don’t want to talk with this guy. I already got myself in trouble with one lying prick, I don’t need to make that mistake again.”

“Man, if it weren’t for my grudges, I’d be more willing to see these three in action over at Mireya’s club. I guess seeing them on stage will give me a chance to see what sort of stuff they’re made of. Maybe if I contact Mireya, I can negotiate a time to go when I’m sure that Dice isn’t anywhere near Roppongi… Grudges be damned, I wanna use my VIP ticket!”

“Kai? Oh, Quinlan. Mireya-san’s husband. I remember him… I think. He isn’t someone I really know… Mostly because we’ve only met once. He was okay. He didn’t really stand out to me, so I guess it’s a little surprising to see him here as the leader for Roppongi. I don’t remember what Mireya-san said he did for work, so I’m not sure what else to say…”

Mireya Quinlan

“I feel like I need to apologize to Mireya-san… We are familiar. Its just she talks to gramma more than me since they have a business deal. Shipments to her business… What was it called? Something Castle? Either way, a shipment straight to her business for double the fee. Which… I really don’t like it when gramma haggles. The publicity we’ve been getting from the D.R.B. has boosted sales for the farm and gramma still tries to get more out of people for our crops. It feels like she’s taking advantage of them, but gramma insists Mireya-san was the one who offered first. I’d rather she keeps her money and pay like the rest. I can’t do anything since gramma is in charge of the business stuff until I inherit the property… So I guess I will deal with it. Maybe someday I can work a more fair deal for her. I hope so, at least.”

Zakari Hiroya

“...He looks normal. Compared to all the people we’ve been able to meet at least. It’s nice I guess to see someone who isn’t a creepy doctor or a terrorist. Just… Some regular fella.”

Private Party

“It’s nice to see a more… ‘Chill’ team I think Yano would probably say. The teams coming into the D.R.B. have been a lot to handle. Having a normal family team without so much… Mess, I guess, is nice. I think so, at least. Chaos isn’t really my thing anyway.”

“An Ainu village chieftain? That’s really something I never expected to see… I can’t really joke about him because I’ve had to study some of their culture. The medicinal practices of the Ainu people specifically. A lot of their practices might be considered to be outdated, what with their beliefs being disproven by modern medicine. But they did have some basis in their choices in plant remedies… Only a couple though. I’m sure a handful of my coworkers would like to talk with any healers in their village for new ideas. Personally, I might want to pass… Mostly because I’d rather we didn’t try and steal their longstanding traditions just to market them to the rest of Japan. Might upset this little chieftain more than help them in the long run, haha...”

Ted Bridges

“Pfft…! You’re telling me… This guy’s name is Ted, his MC name is Teddy, and he’s in a team called Kuma no ie? Oh, this guy isn’t going to hear the end of my un-bear-able bear puns! I’ve got enough jokes to break the sound bear-ier with them. I’m paws-itively ready. Do think he’s the type to get em-bear-assed? Hahah, I’m killing myself here. I need a second to get my bear-ings for the next member, hahaha!”

Kokomi Morozov

“My stomach is killing me from laughing… Last one here is… Kokomi Morozov? Another Olympian like that Nerima girl. She’s much older though, so I’m sure she’s in Japan to practice. Hakodate has a big ski resort up on Hakodate-Yama, I just can’t remember what the name of the place was. I’ve only been there once anyway as a part of a business trip. The marketing team apparently loves skiing so we gave it a try. Let’s just say I was less than graceful out on the snow. The cafe at the peak was great though. After a long ride up to the summit, a hot cup of coffee was great to drink… Wonder if the other two would want to go. Not necessarily to Hakodate, but just skiing or snowboarding in general. It would be fun to watch the boys give it a try.”

Kuma no ie

“Aside from Teddy, I’m wondering how exactly the bear motif fits into the rest of their group. I suppose Kotan-san could have a bear as a spiritual symbol that’s important to him. But Kokomi-san? I don’t think a bear really fits her. She’s much too… How do I put it? Soft and innocent looking. I suppose some people who aren’t as familiar with bears might see her as a little teddy bear. Pfft, that’s funny. Teddy, Kotan-san, and Kokomi-san lining up as the three bears from that kid’s story… Oh, is that why they’re called Kuma no ie?! If so, that’s a hilarious story for why they picked the team name!”
