… how terribly she has been cheated by Fate of everything that would have made her happy.

a small psa
for asoiaf/game of thrones rpers specifically
i’ve seen a lot of posts going around about the usage of honorifics saying that “your majesty” is proper for kings and queens; “your highness” for princess and princesses; etc. this is the case in historical roleplays for the most part, but it is not the case in westeros. here is a link to a good article on the usage of honorifics in westeros.
tl;dr: king/queen - “your grace” prince/princess - “my prince(ss)”, “your grace” lord of a noble house - “Lord [House]”, “my lord of [House]” male members of a noble house - “my lord of [House]”, “my lord” ( never “Lord [House]” ) lady of a noble house - “Lady [House]” female members of a noble house - “Lady [Given Name]” knights - “Ser”

You, a fool: George R.R. Martin writes nothing but sadness and created A Song of Ice and Fire just to break people’s hearts and destroy their souls with crushing scenes of character death and horrible things happening to those who survived.
Me, an intellectual: George R.R. Martin named three successive generations of House Tully after Muppets.
