This week we’ll be working on a fundraiser in collaboration w @tugendedesign to provide sustainable income to women & their children who live in absolute poverty in Jinja, Uganda. We’ll develop the concept and plan for a poultry farm. Currently, many of the women distill alcohol to make money, a job that is both dangerous to their health, their children and also to their community. So our goal will be to provide a sustainable alternative. Not sure why, but as soon as this necklace was done I named it Nnaanansi (which means pineapple in Luganda) 🍍🍍🍍🍍🍍 The bright colors really came through & the different shaped beads added lots of fun to this necklace.
