I’ve only got 3 questions: What kind of underwear Tyler has? What are the names of Tyler’s parents? Where are they after the movie?

Interesting questions! Haha. I've got a very lengthy explanation as to what kinda underwear I think Tyler wears.

Tyler likes to dress as people he looks up to. His style is very similar to Aaron Z with the sweatbands. His basketball jersey and number are a reference to the real-life Vince Carter as I've mentioned before.

With that being said, the bandage on his cheek is likely a reference to Nelly. Who was very popular in the early 2000s. In fact, his overall style during that time is very reminiscent of Tyler's design. From wearing basketball jerseys, the sweatbands, and having a bandage on the cheek.

Many hip-hop and rap artists during that era liked wearing baggy pants, and their underwear ended up showing. This was known as "sagging". Even Nelly did this.

And most people who did this wore boxers when they did the sagging style. (Although I did find Nelly also wearing boxer-briefs doing this style too, but boxers for this fashion was WAY more common).

So, yeah, I headcanon that Tyler wears boxers. If we get a sequel of Turning Red set in high-school, I bet Tyler's pants will be sagging. Or he at least tries it, and the besties tease him about it. Lmao.

As for your other two questions, I have no idea what the names of his parents are, and I don't wanna speculate. We only know that Tyler's Dad is Black, and has a Caribbean accent. Plus, his Mom is Vietnamese. As for where they are, I'm assuming still living their life as usual. Tyler made-up with the girls, and is now one of their best friends. So that means that Mei's parents are good with his family too.

What is (or was) Tyler’s favorite toy?

Because Tyler grew up in the 90s, I'm guessing he was probably into TMNT, Power Rangers, and Pokémon. So, any toys or merchandise from those franchises.

I'd also theorize he was into some things he would keep to himself and not tell anybody about. Like how he's a secret 4*Townie. Haha. Something like Beanie Babies, Sailor Moon, and The Spice Girls.

Plus aside from basketball, I get the impression he's a gamer too. His family is incredibly wealthy, so he probably had all the major consoles of that era from Nintendo, Sega, and Sony.

If I really had to narrow it down to one thing though, he probably has a stuffy that he got as a kid. He would be heartbroken if anything ever happened to it. He'd NEVER admit to having something like that. He hides it with all the other things he's "ashamed" of. I could see him telling the bestie crew eventually though. Including the other interests he hides away. I think they'll slowly see him open up over time.

From the commentary of Turning Red, they talk about how a scene featuring Tyler was cut during production.

Initially, Mei was gonna go to Tyler’s place to apologize to him before heading to the concert. This is where she’d find out he’s a 4*Townie. She would then “kidnap” him, and take him to the concert. It was cut, because it killed the momentum.

I personally would have loved to see this.

There is a mobile game called ‘Disney POP TOWN’. It’s a puzzle game with gacha elements. One of the things you can try to pull for are outfits from different Disney IPs. Turning Red is included, and one of the outfits is based on Tyler. :) Each outfit has a unique ability. I find it a bit sad that Miriam and Abby are left out though.

Unfortunately, I haven’t pulled the outfit yet, but you can at least see what it looks like in the first image. My character is in a Buzz Lightyear outfit.

“Hello, I’m the anon who mentioned Tyler’s bad trumpet playing in ‘The Real R.P.G.’ book! apparently it’s a novel in Mei’s POV that talks about the events of the movie (just with extra content)

Tyler was featured on the back of the ‘Turning Red Ultimate Colouring Book’. I actually imported this and a Turning Red sticker book from the UK. They were a good price though. Roughly $6.50 CAD each. This is the book I scanned from to get those colouring pages I posted before.
