Yeah it may be hot outside with fur in the crocs but like most of the time people are inside. Like school the air-conditioning is blasting so its cold. Also during winter it would keep you warm. You may have pastel blue crocs you were with kiri but they only match with certain outfits. NOW my all black crocs with the black fur in them can match with any of my outfits. Bright colorful outfit, matches. Nice pastel outfit IT MATCHES. yes i am starting croc color discourse with you.

it’s 3am on a saturday when shinso hitoshi tells you this. your legs dangle off the edge of a building - the world beneath your feet. you’re sharing a soda, not a beer - but just a fizzy drink. the air is crisp and the world is dead quiet.  your eyes widen at the information. 

“letters?” 

“letters” he confirms. 

you nod a little, unsure of how to proceed. there’s an unspoken agreeance to not say anything more until he’s ready. but you can’t help but take a sip of your drink - anxious for what’s to come. 

shinso doesn’t really know why he decides to relay this information on you now. there’s not really a good reason other than he felt like it. or maybe it’s just because it feels right. maybe he hopes that the night time will take his words with the breeze and they won’t reach your ears. 

maybe it’s because the world is beneath his feet and he’s starting to understand why humanity centers themselves around love. maybe it’s because you look beautiful when you’re really tired. 

maybe it’s because his pockets are starting to get too heavy with all of his grievances and loving you can’t become one of them. perhaps because today was the day he realized how short a life was out on the field - when he risked it just to save you. and that if he’s going to go without telling you that, yes - he loves you, he’d die with a regret after all 

he sighs and you notice. you take a sip of your drink and cough a little - fingertips numb. 

“what was in them?” you ask

he looks at you with tired eyes before staring back at the world below him. it’s tense and heavy - but not bad. not bad at all. he chuckles. 

“they were uh. love letters. i still have some of them,” 

you hum. 

“can i read them sometime?” 

he snorts, shaking his head. 

“fuck no - they’re so embarassing,” 

you laugh, looking up at the stars. 

“so are mine,” 

he laughs before stopping right in his tracks. staring at you as you look up, your grin only grows wider.
