Did you know you can create animation without an animation program? There are many ways to create frame by frame animation with other utensils such as digital cameras, smartphones or just plain old basic programs like paint, Photoshop and others you may have already and your computer or in your smartphone. One way I used to do it before using an animation program was my very own smartphone. It wasn't anything fancy like an Apple phone, instead I use a Samsung, a cheap one at that. What I do first is draw on paper" the first frame whether it's a character walking, a ball rolling, explosion or anything else then. I draw the next frame and then so on. After that, I take pictures of each frame, then go to my gallery in my phone, select each image starting from the first one all the way to the last in that order'. Then I click the option that says "animate" most phones have this option. The phone should then create a (gif) that will play all frames into one solid animation. There are other ways such as using your own computer and a Photoshop program or paint. Draw each or import each picture then export into a JPEG or other photo format. From there; you can swing them over to an editing software. Most phones have downloadable applications that you can get for free or you can find free applications online if your using your computer. Import your pics and edit them then export to a video. I still use these options; even though I have special animation platforms to use. It's sort of a rough draft technique that I still use. Above is a video "Gif" that I had my daughter draw each frame for. I showed her the concept of how frames work. Pretty good for her 1st cartoon.

Reanimation of a rock video by King Nun is in the works. This is just a taste of what's to come!. Keep in mind that this little piece of shet took me 2 weeks to do. Yes it's only 15 seconds long. Hey! its a classical hand drawn frame by frame animation with a flash animated graphic backdrop. I decided to call my band “WARDOGS”. It's the name of my gamer clan on PS4. That is our emblem that I created back in 2008. The main singer is TEZ (BLONDE with red shirt) from a Cartoon Slickfoot I created 10 years ago. This reanimation of rock will be the first of many. It will take a while but I will keep you all informed as I proceed. I am also encouraging anyone to give back creative constructive criticism as I might use it if it helps in any way. If there our any animators that want to collaborate, I am open to do so as well. It would be a fun way to connect as artists in the same field with the same passions in art.
