The Promised Neverland
So my sister brought this anime up to me but I’m more so of a person to read the manga of things. It’s very hard for me to get into shows, especially because I hate when there are books or etc for them and I feel like I’m missing out on information and such. So I only ever watch anime versions when 1)The manga hasn’t gone on in a long, long, long time and 2) when I’ve finished the manga or am waiting for an update and wanna see the stuff in the manga animated. But I only ever usually watch scenes. SO, long story short, I just finished reading all of The Promised Neverland manga and I’m now waiting for an update and I love it! So glad!

Fruits Baskets
I’m really excited for the new re-made fruits baskets because people who just watched the old anime, didn’t even get halfway through to where the manga ended. Like that was literally not even halfway through the manga, so much more happens after! The manga was so cute but it was so much darker and meaningful at points, like damn ya’ll. The only thing I wish it did was give extras of how Kyo and Tohru’s life had been together before having kids and grandchildren lol! Ahhhh and it’s like, sure I can look up fan fiction but there aren’t really any, or some don’t go off the manga!!

I like how Tsubaki said she would happily boast about BlackStar, almost like he’s a little brother. However, it’s very clear how close they have become, I mean they always seemed close before, but in this case, it’s a more mature type of closeness. Tsubaki is proud of BlackStar and all he’s done, so in this moment, she’d gladly admit how much she’d be proud to see him excelling. She likes his strength and she enjoys seeing him enjoy success. Plus, in the past, whenever BlackStar was bragging or gained success, he always looked to Tsubaki for a small sort of validation—saying things like: “Right Tsubaki?” Etc...(I would put more examples but you guys know haha). Now it’s not even a question he has to ask, she’s already happy for him and agrees with him. Even during the arachnophobia arc, when they arrived as Baba Yaga’s castle, 300 people showed up to stop him and Tsubaki said, to paraphrase, “around 300 people, shouldn’t be a problem, right BlackStar?”
So clearly she knows what he’s capable of. Plus I like how BlackStar would have gone into fight either way, we all know him, but he interrupts when Tsubaki says she’d brag about him, and says: “In that case,” as if it’s more of a reason for him to go fight with Patty. Ahhh they cute tho, they cute people.

I really admire the connection these two have. Like obviously everyone is worried but since she’s his weapon and partner, she’ll clearly be the most against him leaving without all of them, but I always find it sweet how he tousled her hair, as if she’s no longer the one taking care of him. I think it really shows how Black Star matured throughout the manga. It’s clear he’s a very goal oriented and “warrior” type of person and in this volume, the book of Eibon, he was one of the first few people to change back into a male, so it’s clear romance and desire (sexual at least?) aren’t big motivations in his life. However, when his gender was changed in the manga, it was said that everyone changed to fit what they found most attractive/interesting in real life. I noticed after my friend pointed out that BlackStar very closely resembled Tsubaki and Tsubaki closely resembled BlackStar. I mean it isn’t untrue that they are both attractive people, so it makes sense if they have qualities they admire of the other person. However, maybe it’s true that BlackStar is definitely not one for romance, because he has a goal he hasn’t yet attained, he even said in the same ‘’chapter’’, what he most wants is “power” to protect those he cares about. However, he CAN show affection, and that’s shown here with Tsubaki. And only Tsubaki. Although what he says is to all of them, it’s clear he most wants to console Tsubaki, because she’s always been most worried about him in the past, they always look out for each other (as they should— being partners and all); but this was a cute moment.

Some more TsuStar
~Dancer~
Part 1
*I am not ashamed people! I just re-read the manga for the thousandth time so like, my ships are fresh again. Anyways, as usual, takes place after end of manga. One-Shot, cuz I can*
—————————————————————
It was just a simple party, in honor of Kid’s new status as Shinigami. Well, he always was one but it’s definitely for sure now. It was supposed to be a small get together in DWMA, just the same friends from Stein’s old class but all of a sudden, word spread, and it became this massive festival. Maka seemed a little bothered by the fact but once they stepped inside the familiar checkered-floored room, covered in brilliant lights—giving it a dark yet mystical glow—no one could complain. They were all swayed by the music and by the nostalgia, and, particularly two people were very ‘swayed’ by the food.
She finally got BlackStar fitted into a good suit and it took all night just to make sure he didn’t go off and ruin it. It seems to work well for him, not that he notices, but plenty of girls were swooning after him. It was truly a good fit and it revealed the strength in his body, perfected and grown over the past year. Girls really seemed to like the “warrior” type of man, passionate and a bit oblivious. She’s sure once they saw him engulfing an entire plate, Patty at his side, they would no longer think the same of him. Tsubaki knows the truth though. That’s her partner.
The man singing, a stranger with a curled mustache and a purple suit, waves his arms in the air, everyone turns to look at him. The music pauses and breathlessly, he yells, although rather excitedly, “Weapons and Meisters, get together and dance with your partners!!”
Everyone laughed at first. But soon, when the singer seemed on the verge of tears, the idea wasn’t so uncustomary. Shrugging, in his usual nonchalant way, Soul suggested Maka dance with him. When she pouted and refused, lightly, he gave her that same smirk and said, “Of course, cuz you got two left feet.”
Her defiant and stubborn personality was easily manipulated. All of a sudden, meisters and weapons were dancing together. Tsubaki, a bit lost on what to do, decided to simply watch, with a happy smile. Beside her, three forms whisked by. They paused, turning towards her.
“Tsubaki, you aren’t dancing?” Liz wore a similar suit to her sibling while Kid still adorned the cloak left by his father, however the mask was elsewhere. Patty is already swaying to the music, in her giggly, unique way. It’s nice to see everyone so happy and peaceful. Her smile widens.
Kid chuckles, “With a partner like BlackStar, I doubt he’s much of an elegant dancer. He’s still scarfing down food over there.”
They all share a soft glance behind Tsubaki. At the table she awaits by, BlackStar is monstrously consuming what is left on the designated platters. He seems happy enough. Besides, with all the training he does, it’s no wonder he has such an appetite. That’s why Tsubaki is always sure to cook him the best meals.
Their partnership has become comfortable since the fight on the moon. She’ll still scold him for sneaking into places she bathes but even then, she isn’t unused to him seeing her breasts, or even her naked body. He’s seen it all and she’ll only scold him on principle but really, she doesn’t have as much an issue with it anymore. Maybe she’s too comfortable, being that they aren’t dating but...she puts that thought out of her mind. What can she do about it?
Liz sighs, “Tsubaki, you should dance with one cute guy tonight. You look so pretty! Besides, with BlackStar eating the whole buffet, you’ll have time to be with someone else.”
She doesn’t really want to be with someone else, the whole idea unsettles her. Still, she smiles kindly, “No, it’s alright. Besides,” she leans forward, her hand moving through her hair a bit nervously, “BlackStar likes to dance but he isn’t much of a ballroom dancer—“
“Hey! I can dance as well as the next guy!”
She squeaks as he appears at her side, his face a filthy mess. Kid grows pale with the sight and Tsubaki quickly takes the napkin she folded earlier into his shirt and wipes his face. He pays the action no mind but Liz and Patty laugh.
“BlackStar, we’ve never seen you actually waltz once in your life. Tsubaki would probably be leading you the entire way!”
That gets a rise out of her meister. He stands tall, his chest puffing, “What! I can dance better than everyone out there! Watch me! Tsubaki, lets go!”
She flinches and almost believes that she should turn into her weapon form. She’s so used to him simply calling her name and that being enough communication between them. She always knows what he needs of her and she always performs to the best of her ability.
She’s dragged to the dance floor and she can see him clenching his jaw. She tries to be soothing but when it comes to boasting and showing everyone he’s the best, BlackStar doesn’t back down.
He stops in the middle of the floor, where everyone is already swaying comfortable with their partners. He glances around, stubbornly, and lifts his hands, even a bit awkwardly towards her. He doesn’t meet her gaze for a moment, scanning everyone else still. Tsubaki chuckles and it makes him look up at her, a bit embarrassed.
“Here, let me help you,” she guides his hands towards the appropriate places on her body. He doesn’t seem very taken aback but it’s true, he’s never danced like this before. But he’s far too stubborn to admit that. She’s unaccustomed to dancing with him like this at all, much less when he feels older and mature. As mature as this goof ball can get though. His fight with Mifune definitely changed him. Granting her brother’s wish, was a big step in her admiration and love for him. Love him, of course she does, he’s her partner and more importantly, now he’s apart of her family.
“This is stupid, if I can’t do this then it isn’t even worthy of being a skill I should have,” he grumbles it, in his usual annoyance. She tilts her head, smiling.
“Don’t get upset. It’s really easy. Let me show you.”
His cheeks tinge pink for a moment as he allows her this one bit of dominance. Of all things BlackStar is, he definitely isn’t dumb. At least, not when it comes to learning physical things. He’s always been a fast learner and she expects him to take up the steps to the dance rather quickly. To her surprise, he doesn’t.
He stumbles uncomfortably and she can see the strain he’s putting in, the effort in his burning gaze as he tries to elegantly move. She laughs and that makes him even more frustrated.
“Enough! Let me lead!”
She blinks and she squeaks as his grip on her tightens. Maybe she has to remind him that she’s a person and not a weapon at the moment, but, seeing him try so hard, she can’t help but allow him to simply be himself. He’s definitely stronger. Even she would swoon after him if she didnt know so much about it him. He once called her the stars in the dark sky and she teased him, admitting she believed he was both the stars and dark sky combined. He takes compliments boisterously but in that moment, of him being pensive and mature, he seemed flustered by her words.
She laughs at the memory now and hearing that, he scoffs, pulling her close to him, “Come on Tsubaki,”
She tries to follow his footsteps but he’s doing it all wrong, he isn’t even going to the beat anymore. At one point, he tries to spin her and fails miserably, resulting in her stumbling against him and his shoe stepping down on her toe.
“Ow!” She cries, leaning away from him. She can see the flush of color rising in his face. She shakes her head, sliding her feet back from him, “You know BlackStar, we don’t have to dance at all. Let’s just wait until the song is over.”
He pauses, his eyes flickering between hers and she can’t really distinguish, in the soft warmth of the lights around the room, how he feels. He extends his hand, jutting it harshly forward between them, “No, so you can go dance with some other guy? No way. I can do this, I’m the best!”
She sighs under her breath. He really can’t let things go. And what was that about some other guy. Maybe the food got to his head. She isn’t one to deny him though, so she gingerly places her hand in his. He tugs her unceremoniously forward, and she staggers into his arms. One slides in against her waist, the other towards her shoulder. At least he’s grown a bit taller so his face is no longer right at her breasts. That would be embarrassing because her dress is revealing a bit much of her assets. Not that she can help it. Or really wants to.
He tries again to move to the music, mumbling each movement beneath his breath, counting them out. He does well for the first part and then when they turn, she can tell he’s gotten all jumbled. His eyebrows furrow and he makes the mistake of looking down at their feet.
“Oh, look up, BlackStar,”
It makes his head whip upwards and that disorients him. He steps on her foot again and she cringes, this time, her eyes even watering. Why does he put so much force into stepping down? Maybe that’s why he’s been struggling? This time though, her toes really ache and she has to peel back from him. She shakes her head and looks around the heads of all their friends, searching for a seat, “I think I need to sit BlackStar.”
He shakes his head, adamantly, “Wait, Tsubaki, the song isn’t finished yet! I have to show everyone—“
She frowns, lifting her foot in the air but her shoes won’t allow her to wiggle her toes, “Sorry BlackStar but my feet hurt.” She turns away from him and she feels terrible for doing so. She isn’t one to ever deny him from getting his way or proving himself. This time though, she isn’t in weapon form and he stepped down on her toes so hard, she fears he could have bruised them. She really does like to dance but she can manage to refuse him for just one night.
She takes a seat and pops her heel off, frowning down at her toes. Just a bit red and sore but nothing serious. She leans back against the table, sighing in relief.
—————————————————————
He crosses his arms in annoyance.
‘What does Tsubaki know. I can dance.’
He thinks, his fingers squeezing his biceps. After being refused from his partner, he can’t help but feel a bit frustrated that he hadn’t been able to master the goddamn dance, nor prove to his friends that he was better than everyone else at it. In the back of his mind, the inkling of doubt that is attempting to get inside is immediately squashed.
‘If I just had more time,’
Then again, he had stepped rather hard on her foot. He shakes his head. No. He would have gotten it in a few more minutes if she stayed.
Maka situates herself beside him, leaning against the wall he’s against as well. She frowns, more so pouts, “Gosh, Tsubaki dances so elegantly. Her and Soul look so good together.”
BlackStar’s eyebrows furrow. He immediately looks up, scanning the dancers for his partner. He finds the shadow weapon swaying slowly and comfortably with Soul. They do look pretty elegant and correct. Tsubaki is still taller though, but Soul hasn’t stepped on her toes once throughout the dance.
Maka’s frown deepens, “Dancing is so dumb anyways.”
“Yeah, it is!” He agrees. If it was a fight, he’d beat everyone in the room, no contest. He doesn’t need to learn some ballroom dancing, no way. Tsubaki can go and dance with twenty other guys and he’d be completely fine standing here. Or eating. Yeah, he should just go eat. Actually, he should be training right now.
His arms tighten across his chest, a bubble of anger making him sink. Maka sighs, “I just can’t get good at this dancing stuff.”
Seeing his partner dance so well with another person doesn’t sit well with him. So he couldn’t do the dance and now she went off to dance with Soul? Come on Tsubaki!
They do make a good pair.
....When it comes to dancing!
Tsubaki is his weapon, and Soul isn’t even a meister. He doubts if he was, that he could even handle such an awesome weapon like Tsubaki. BlackStar scoffs under his breath, thinking about the image of Soul being a meister and attempting to wield Tsubaki. And failing.
He scoffs to himself. He could dance if he wanted. Some ballroom dancing isn’t even cool enough for a big guy like him.
Maka sighs, “Tsubaki’s gotten so pretty...”
BlackStar allows himself a bit of pride. Of course Tsubaki gets compliments, she’s his weapon and the best, suited for the man who will surpass god. His smile widens and he pays close attention as the song comes to a winding stop. The band bows and Tsubaki pulls away from Soul. They had been talking the entire time through the dance, clearly comfortable as friends. Tsubaki applauds the band, along with the rest of the people on the dance floor, with a soft, angelic smile.
Yeah, Tsubaki’s always been really nice. Really understanding. Soul shoves his hands into his pockets, glancing up at the shadow weapon. He says something and it makes her blush a bit, her hand moving to cover her mouth in, what BlackStar already knows, is her flustered chuckle.
He pushes off from the wall, striding towards Tsubaki, “Hey, Tsubaki, lets go.”
She blinks at him, a bit startled by his sudden approach, “Already?”
Soul glances around the room, searching for Maka who he hasn’t noticed still stands against the wall, “The party is basically over, the band is getting ready to go.”
Tsubaki’s shoulders sink, “I was having fun dancing. Thanks so much Soul,”
From behind BlackStar, Maka approaches, her gaze a bit shy. She and Soul make their way towards Kid, perhaps as final goodbyes. BlackStar lifts his chin up in the air, “So, got a new dancing partner?”
Tsubaki shakes her head, in that calm way of hers. She’s gotten annoyed with him before but never angry, so he’s so used to that happy little smile of hers, “Just for a bit. But I’m right back here with you.”
BlackStar clears his throat, “Good.”
Maybe he doesn’t appreciate her enough but for some reason, he expects her to already know that he admires her constant presence near him. He crosses his arms, eyeing her. They start walking towards Kid, joining the group.
Liz notices them, and she takes a light jog towards Tsubaki. Uninterested, BlackStar continues walking towards the rest of his friends, but he catches Liz saying, a bit enthusiastically, “Oh, hey I just heard someone cute say he liked you. I told him to ask you out on a date!”
BlackStar freezes, his head swiveling towards the two tall girls.
WHAT THE HELL—
End of Part 1
(Don’t worry guys, I promise we’ll get romantic on the second part.)

I’ve been really hooked on TsuStar recently, I don’t know why but like, I guess I’m revitalizing old ships lol. Anyways, this moment was always really nice, not just because like: oh my god, so romantic or OMG they are so cute, but more like, you have to respect their dynamic together. He tries to give her a compliment but she already knows that he appreciates her and she doesn’t want him to go off giving compliments without acknowledging himself as well. I feel like it’s a good moment, not even as a romantic one, but just the bond they have together. I feel like it’s so difficult to write TsuStar fanfics because you have to get this dynamic right, like they have a really close relationship in terms of being friends but not even that, it’s like they are just comfortable being together and there isn’t really a moment where they don’t simply share an understanding for each other. I mean he doesn’t treat her like most of his friend’s, almost like she’s his family, and she is, technically. So it’s almost strange to imagine when such close people would ever even kiss, even in fan fiction, because their partnership feels really deep and compatible but like, neither would be the type to go off and kiss someone. BlackStar is really loud sure and impulsive but as the manga proceeds, you can tell he’s very goal oriented, it’s all about training and achieving those goals—one of those being FOR Tsubaki, who he promised he’d achieve what her late brother could not. They really depend on each other but BlackStar, being as strong as he is, can exist without her and yet, he would never discard Tsubaki, she’s his family and someone who’s stayed by his side and always, ALWAYS believed in him. Tsubaki on the other hand is this very centered and calm person, but she’s also very strong. You can see that in her battles with BlackStar, she’s analytical but she trusts everything he does because he’s so proficient in using her. So when would they ever kiss? It would have to definitely be a private moment, because BlackStar is clearly more reserved (as reserved as he CAN be) when alone with Tsubaki. She calms his usually loud tendencies at times but also doesn’t attempt to change that about him. They’ve just always been constantly growing together. There are moments where he seeks a small bit of validation from her and I think that really shows their dynamic and feelings for each other (I mean in general lol). Anyways, that’s the end of this long ass post, it was literally just gonna be the picture and how cute I found it, but then I realized I’m too much of a dumb-ass introspective person to let that be!

Fan fiction requests
I’ve recently found myself with intense, INTENSE, writers block. I wrote a TsuStar fanfic recently after re-reading the manga for like the hundredth time. It wasn’t perfect but it was a first step in fighting my block. Usually writing romance or intense emotional moments helps me start working on my book again but as you can see from the fanfic I wrote recently, it was hard to be super emotional, hence my struggle with the block right now. So, if anyone has any OTP fan fiction suggestions or wants me to write something, I am officially taking names! Also, if I don’t know the “ship” or the anime they are from, I don’t mind, because watching anime or various shows or listening to music, helps me be creative. If I don’t know the ship, I’ll watch the anime!!

TsuStar Part 2
Apart
*Hey ya’ll, like I said, part 2 is here really soon. Anyways, read part 1 to understand what’s happening, just a simple oneshot :-)* reminder this goes off events in the manga
__________________________________________________
“Apart?”
She blinks, stiffens. The shadow weapon knows not if she should be honest with her long term meister or retreat to her old ways, of smiling and attempting to hide behind fake happiness. But no. She’s been past that with BlackStar. There is no hiding from him. He can be foolishly oblivious to others sometimes but he isn’t stupid, no. He’s a fighter and you don’t get as strong as he is without being somewhat intelligent, observant and powerful.
She turns, folding her hands in front of her body, “BlackStar, were you looking for me?”
He shoves his hands into his pockets and she realizes that his suit has gotten a bit wrinkled. At least it isn’t stained, because she’ll be the one who ends up washing it. She tilts her head affectionately at him. He’s frowning, or pouting maybe, or a bit of both.
“Tsubaki, why are you out here on your own?”
“Well, I just wanted some fresh air.”
It’s uncustomary that she’s apart from him though. They go everywhere together and even when he’s doing something crazy, she’s often by his side, hovering protectively or mildly embarrassed. Sometimes, if all their friends weren’t here, she wonders if she’d be the only person at his side. She promised him, through her actions and their bond, that she would never leave him. She truly does care about him. That fact is obvious though, their souls are matched on the same wavelength, like most meisters and weapons.
She’s glad he’s matured a bit. After their visit to her home, she saw that he had grown and mastering the enchanted sword took strength, yes, but also a maturity she knew he could muster. She’s proud of him but also grateful for him.
“You’re alright?” He gives her that stubborn look, effortlessly leaping onto the balcony and situating himself down, so his legs swing over the edge.
She turns to face the same direction as him, calmly. Sitting here reminds her of when he told her, practically, that she was the light in his life, in the past of his dark heritage. She felt warm that night and understanding of him. Some people can think he’s so selfish and unloving but that isn’t true. He loves and respects his friends and her. He grew up without his parents, striving for an endless goal. He’s come so far and she’s glad that he’s believed in her so much to take her along. As an equal.
“BlackStar, um,” she runs her hands through her hair, nervously.
He doesn’t look at her, his gaze locked on the sky. However, he does say, boisterously, “Come on Tsubaki. Tell me.”
Her skin flushes. They haven’t talked about their future except that their future is together. He’ll train forever and she’ll always be there beside him. He frowns, his eyes flickering to the side to scan her. He shrugs, crossing his arms, “What? Is it about what Maka and everyone was talking about? You got a boyfriend, Tsubaki? Is that why you’re all nervous right now?”
The heat consumes her. She blinks, her hands wildly moving into the air, as if her hand gestures will swipe his memory of the past few words, “W-What!? No!”
She can see a tinge of pink on his cheeks and he turns his head away, scoffing, “Then what is it? You know you can tell me anything.”
He’s right. She knows this. She sucks in a deep breath, shutting her eyes, grasping her arm with her left hand. She turns her head into the air and lets out the nervousness she’s held for the past few hours, blurting it out breathlessly, a bit too loudly, “W-Would you leave me behind if you met some girl?”
Silence for a moment. The heat threatens to burn her alive and she can’t believe how foolish the words sound coming out of her mouth. What a misplaced worry and she knows it isn’t something she’d really worry about. Sometimes she gets a bit anxious and she’ll think about the time he tried to resonate with Soul and then she’ll remind herself of how foolish she is. After fighting the Kishin on the moon, after all they’ve been through, after he told her she were the stars in the dark sky, how could she doubt what they have together? They are partners, forever and always. Yet that small inkling has gotten through, somehow, even though she stupidly knows it shouldn’t have.
“Tsubaki,” a serious tone. So he’s extremely calm now, even pensive. She doesn’t look at him, but she opens her eyes and catches him still looking up at the night sky. She follows his gaze, seeing the brilliant stars burning white and yellow, “I told you I’ll always have your back. And you’ll always have mine right?”
She turns to him, shocked, “Of course.”
“Then,” he scoffs, “I don’t know why you’re talking about some girl I might meet. I’ve already met her. You.”
She flinches and her cheeks burn, the deep red moving across her entire face. She looks at him but when he gives her a quick, stubborn glance, she blinks and turns away. That startled her. He definitely isn’t the romantic type. That could mean anything to him. But to her, it makes her heart pound and it embarrasses her.
He taps his fingers along the stone edge of the balcony, maybe even nervously, “I told you already, Tsubaki, you are the stars right? Why would I ever leave you for some random girl? I only take the best because I’m the best and you’re the greatest weapon a guy can ask for.”
She sighs, shaking her head, “Oh, a weapon.”
BlackStar clears his throat, his fist rising to cover his lips as he mumbles, gently, “We’ll be together forever, Tsubaki. Unless you don’t want me?”
She chuckles, “Well, how could I not? You’re the man who will surpass god right?”
His grin widens, “Right!”
She should have known he meant as his partner. Still, it’s nice to hear him talking so affectionately. BlackStar isn’t really a romantic person. He holds on to friendships and partnerships, although it’s nice to know she won’t be discarded. Ever.
“By the way, Tsubaki. Are guys always flirting with you?”
She leans forward to peer at his expression. Just the same stubborn one, frowning up at the sky. She tries to think back, “Well, there was that one time...and then..again...I’d say a few times it’s happened. Why?”
He sinks, his shoulders rising to his ears, “But I’m always with you.”
“Not always...”
“Always.” He turns to her and she meets his gaze.
Maybe he is. But the off chance that he isn’t, that’s when it happens. Probably because he’s so intimidating that guys don’t usually approach her to confess when he’s around.
Staring at him, it’s really a wonder how far they’ve come together. He doesn’t lift his eyes from her, merely keeps staring in the strong, passionate way he usually does.
“What kinda things are they telling you anyways?”
Her cheeks redden. This isn’t something they usually talk about. This is what she reserves to Liz but maybe the battle after the Kishin and the peace in their lives has made him more interested in things, anything.
“Nothing really..” she tries to laugh it off but it’s clear he wants to know. Once he sets his mind to something, there’s really no delaying him in getting it. She can’t hold his strong gaze for long before giving in, finding his interest a bit amusing, “They just tell me they like me, is all. And that I’m beautiful.”
His eyebrows raise, he crosses his arms and leaps up onto his feet, “What I don’t get is why other guys are going around trying to take my weapon! I’m the famous BlackStar, don’t they know that only I can handle you?”
True enough. He is proficient in all her weapon forms. Including, now, the enchanted sword. Still, it’s so like him to get territorially. Over a friend. Just a friend.
“You know what Tsubaki, if they can fight and beat me in a fight, then they can have you.”
She chuckles musically, “But no one can beat you right?”
He jabs his thumb into his chest, “That’s right. So since that day is never gonna happen, you’re all mine!” He pauses for a moment and turns to her, “Right?”
She nods happily, “Yep.”
She’s always taken care of him, how could she ever doubt his faith in her? He’s never once doubted her. Not ever.
“BlackStar, thank you for all you’ve done. I’m so glad to have a partner like you.”
She’d give her life up for him. She knows he’s do the same. He practically has, taking on the burden of the enchanted sword, along with the regrets of those who passed away using it in her family. Her bloodline.
She laughs, and mumbles her thoughts aloud,“Practically married...”
BlackStar turns his head down, “What’s that Tsubaki? You wanna get married?”
She blinks, blushes madly, “Wha—N-No, I—“
“Well I can arrange that. In a few years maybe,”
She blinks, her blush growing across her face and her neck and tips of her ears. Did she hear that right? He wants to marry her?
“BlackStar, What are you saying?”
He shrugs, “We’re going to be together. Forever Tsubaki. If you wanna get married, I’ll marry you! So you don’t have to go and get some random guy.”
“B-But, you don’t love me like that, BlackStar.”
“Says who?” He peers down at her and then jumps from the balcony, landing on the ground in front of her. She’s still taller though so when he gives her that sharp look, she wonders if this dense boy really understands what he is saying.
She feels him grab her hand. He hardly does that. Actually, he never does. He’s always either in some serious battle mode or goofing around. Even then through he’s never been one to grab her hand and drag her around places.
She glances down at their hands, his fingers wrapped around her palm. He flashes her a cocky grin, “Wouldn’t you wanna be with the man who surpassed god? No one except the best and greatest can make you happy. And that’s me. Got it?”
She blinks at him, still utterly shocked. He’s confessing to her? Of all times and places. Now? And for how long has he felt this way. No. How long has she known she’s felt the same? It just feels right, she tells herself. This moment with him, as outrageous as it is, it’s so like him to boast about how happy he’ll make her and how suited he is for her. Her blush deepens, from head to toe. Does that mean all this time they’ve shared a room and he felt like this? She feels like steam will come out of her ears any second now. However, she’s able to mumble, in utter embarrassment, “Yes. I got it.”
She sees the tinge of pink grazing his cheeks, just barely visible compared to the tomato dark red burning her own pale skin. He pushes off his feet and she feels him bump her, his lips hitting her chin, a little bit against her cheek.
“Damn Tsubaki, come here.”
It takes her a moment to realize what he was trying to do and her body responds, obediently to his bold request. At first, she can’t tell if it’s because she wants or if it’s because she’s so used to going happily along with him. It might be both but the moment he overcomes his slight flustered demeanor, his lips find hers. Quickly, a bit impulsively and unrealistically warm. Too warm and yet warm enough that she sinks into it.
Kissing him is so, so strange. She never imagined once in her life that they would ever be kissing. No, that isn’t something she could even dream of, it seemed so impossible. And yet, even though knowing he’s never kissed another girl, he’s surprisingly good at it. Beneath her lips, he feels strong and sure and his hands are a bit rough, a bit callous.
She doesn’t mind that. That’s the proof of their life and partnership together. He melts her. She can see stars bursting before her eyes as his lips burn her own, as she reciprocates easily to the mouth of her meister.
He pulls her to him strongly, passionately. It’s just like him, a man full of passion and power to kiss her with the same qualities that have always driven him. She’s breathless now and his lips are a bit heated, a bit frantic. They are older than they once were, no more fantasizing about things, about the opposite sex’s bodies, this time, a face is placed on the body of those they admire and love. And it’s the face of the man and woman they both most desire. Him. She wants him.
“Where’s BlackStar and Tsubaki?!”
She pulls away first. Only because she can’t stand the idea of people seeing them, of walking towards the balcony and ruining the moment with their taunts and teasing. He sees that in her burned gaze and takes a step back but she forgets that his hand was still gripping hers and she’s tugged closer to him. They stare at each other, breathlessly and his grip on her hand tightens. She has a feeling their relationship has definitely changed. She touches her lips with her fingers. BlackStar kissed me, she thinks. And I kissed him back. He mumbles, not meeting her gaze, “Only the greatest man could have you. So now your mine. Always.”

TsuStar (ended up being Part 1 of 2, whoops)
Apart
*takes place a while after the end of the manga in which I have a little fun with the idea of Stein and Marie getting married. Starts at the reception however and our fav goons have been invited*
——————————————————
It was a beautiful ceremony. And a strange one. You couldn’t have an event Dr. Stein participates in and it somehow not be strange. But Marie, acting as a tranquil (yet also radical counterpart) made sure it ran as smoothly as a wedding with a mad scientist could. So it was beautiful. It also gave the tight knit friends a reason to dress up, without the feeling a certain witch would go off and resurrect a certain Kishin. Now, they are all older, still teenagers but certainly older than they had been before, grown into their bodies and most likely, more wise than in the past. They’ve hung out previously before this but never a chance all together. Luckily enough, Marie situated them all at the same table, giving everyone a chance to meet up with Kid. He’s been so busy as the new Shinigami that it’s been hard for him to easily fool around like he used to. Still, he’s grown (a bit) taller and he holds an air of respect and mystery around him. Except the moment he sits down, that same atmosphere is dashed away by the wildness he once had in the group.
Tsubaki is all but happy to participate, but also to sit and watch as the loudness of her partner ignites a bubble of raucous noise from all their friends. Her situation with BlackStar hasn’t changed all that much actually. They still live together, still share a room. Every morning he goes to train and work out, then he comes home, eats a late breakfast made by her, then promptly falls asleep. Then she is the one to rouse him awake, with lunch prepared. He’ll wolf it down and head back out, sometimes with her at his side, other times not, to hang with friends. Occasionally, he’ll go out again to train. Either way, his movements through the house have always been boisterous, a comfortable loudness she’s grown accustomed to over the years. Their bond is deep and some people can’t see why two radically different people can so easily get along but she isn’t one to question why. It simply feels right to stand beside him as his weapon. She has full faith in him, similar to how he believes in her.
She’s always been his support and he’s gladly appreciated her existence. Mastering what her brother could not, was a giant step in their partnership. She appreciates him and his presence and all he’s done for her. And while it could seem like he’s taken her for granted, nothing can be farther than the truth. She guesses its harder for others to notice when he’s always so loud in public. But they’ve had their own serious moments, he’s capable of being calm and introspective too.
“I can’t believe Dr.Stein is married,” Maka begins, the loud roaring of their group suddenly coming to a calm, “I never thought he’d ever love someone.”
Liz leans forward, her elbow hitting the table. She pouts, “Marie went and settled down and I’m still here all alone!”
Patty edges into her sister and Liz gives her sibling an appreciative look. Kid crosses his arms, of course both hands being situated perfectly symmetrical on either arm, “I’m surprised Marie had the wedding so late, what with a child on the way.”
They all sneak a glance towards their former teachers table. Marie is basked in a golden glow, her dress so beautiful that it makes Tsubaki gawk, but, as her eyes slide down Marie’s pretty form, she sees the woman sitting with her hands over her swollen belly. Tsubaki can’t imagine what their child will look like, but it certainly fills with her curiosity.
BlackStar whips his head over to his plate of food, of course, hungry eyes widening with delight. Tsubaki shakes her head as he begins his wolffish onslaught against the platter, her hands reaching to grab his napkin.
“BlackStar, that’s a new suit—“
Soul adds, “And it fits you–“
Tsubaki continues, “Please don’t get it all dirty before the reception is over.” All she can do is suggest in a soft tone and usually he listens, other times, she tries but knows he won’t pay attention. She unfolds the napkin and places it in the collar of his white buttoned shirt. Sure enough, the minute she does, red sauce splatters across it, missing his clothes. She sighs with relief.
Maka chuckles, “I guess one thing hasn’t changed. Tsubaki is still BlackStar’s mom.”
BlackStar doesn’t pay much attention, just keeps slurping down his meal, monstrously. Soon enough, a hungry Patty joins him with her own plate of food. Soul’s smile widens into a smug grin, “The one person I can never see getting married is BlackStar.”
Kid suddenly participates, with his own amused smile, “I can’t imagine what woman would get along with him. They’d have to be exactly like Tsubaki.”
“M-Me?” The thought hasn’t crossed her mind. Or, well. Sure it has but BlackStar’s simply her partner, someone she holds a strong bond with. She’s never even considered romance, with him or anyone else, she always assumed she’d simply be by his side. Forever. Maybe that’s a bit childish of her. What if he did find some woman? They certainly couldn’t continue living together, even sharing a room. For some reason, her chest becomes warm with the thought, a hint of panic settling inside of her. Would she be discarded? No, BlackStar isn’t cruel. But they definitely couldn’t be as close as usual.
She blinks from her panicked, anxious stupor. Her friend’s are still talking and this time, BlackStar is paying attention.
Maka is speaking: “Yeah, BlackStar, what even is your type?”
BlackStar sits up and of course, he doesn’t take the chance to wipe the mess of food around his lips. Tsubaki feels the urge to take his napkin and remind him but suddenly, she’s interested in what he has to say. She knows already somewhat, she isn’t dense but maybe things have changed.
However, when his foolish grin splits his face, she knows he isn’t answering seriously. Or well, he is, in his own way.
He jabs a finger to his chest, chuckling at his friends, “The only person I’d end up with is someone as godly as me!”
Their friends all roll their eyes as he resumes his boisterous laughter. Maka clicks her tongue. Soul doesn’t seem very surprised, “Well we knew he’d say that. I thought there’s only one of you, BlackStar, so how could there be someone as godly as you?”
BlackStar doesn’t stop his endless laughter, only blinks, “Good point! Okay, fine, someone as great and amazing as me will do!”
Soul shrugs, “Figures.”
Kid chuckles, “That would have to be one loud woman.”
Tsubaki’s stomach tightens. What if someone did come along? Why doesn’t she like the idea of that? BlackStar and her have always, always been together. Maybe not romantically but the bond they have is so deep, she can’t imagine being any other way...except together. She wishes she could ask him but it would have to be when he’s at his most calm and pensive. Which is usually only if the situation calls for it. Like when she visited her family with him, before his last fight with Mifune. He was battling a crisis inside of himself, which led to him being deep and honest with her.
Soul and Maka still aren’t together but even they are (somwhat) more romantic than Tsubaki and BlackStar will ever be. Which means....? She’ll one day have to face he’ll be with someone else.
He’s handsome, even if loud, that’s a fact. He’s muscular and strong and passionate. All qualities someone would like. Besides he has plenty of woman who crush on him, and they all know how wild he is. He’s a warrior though, and that makes all these woman swoon after him. He hardly seems to care though. And if questioned, he always grins and says something about his greatness and “why wouldn’t they be worshipping him! He’s a god!”
“Hey Tsubaki, What about you?”
She blinks, again, lost to her thoughts. She turns her head thoughtfully to Liz, who’s peering at her with amused curiosity. Maka sits straight, “Oh yeah, Tsubaki!”
Tsubaki, feeling all her friend’s staring at her, is suddenly a bit embarrassed. Her cheeks burn a bit and she clasps her hands tightly underneath the table.
“Yeah, Tsubaki was the most perverted of us all, remember!?”
She flashes Soul a dreaded gaze, all the color rising to her face in one swift wave. She shakes her head, “Oh, why do you have to bring that up?”
This time, her clenched hands rise and separate to clasp her cheeks, as she shuts her eyes in utter humiliation. She can’t believe herself, or maybe that’s just a form of denial. For BlackStar to have been there, in the Book of Eibon, and even commented on the fact is enough to fill her with dread.
The table laughs and she feels her blush deepening. However, Maka interjects, “Well either way, Tsubaki is so pretty, she’ll definitely end up with someone.”
She can’t even imagine someone.
Liz scoffs, “Yeah but she’s way too timid to make the first move. It’d have to be some tall, dark and mysterious hunk. Right, Tsubaki?”
Her blush burns her, she shakes her head, far too embarrassed to properly answer. And for some reason, BlackStar being at her side and listening, isn’t helping.
Soul leans into his chair, “No way, how could she ever be with some dude with BlackStar at her side—“
Tsubaki blinks. What’s that supposed to mean? She almost shifts her attention to her partner in a panic when Soul continues, “They live together and no way some dude Tsubaki’s with would want to have BlackStar around all the time.”
Maka tilts her head pensively, her finger tapping her chin, “Oh yeah, that’s right. Tsubaki is always cleaning up after BlackStar, she wouldn’t even have the time to be with someone.”
Kid shrugs, “She’s basically his maid,”
Tsubaki’s heart pounds with embarrassment. Oh no, a maid?! But she’s a weapon, she wouldn’t be something like that and she’s BlackStar’s equal. Does she really seem like a maid?
“Hey, Hey, Hey! Tsubaki is my weapon! Which means she’s great, just like me! She’s better than all the other weapons out there, and only the greatest could be my partner!”
Tsubaki’s blush turns a deep red and she whips her gaze towards BlackStar. Whenever she’s appreciated, she gets so flustered and to hear it from him is always surprising. He even agreed, strongly, when Masamune commented on Tsubaki as a weapon. That made her blush so much too. Now she feels like she’s a kid again.
The group isn’t finished dissecting her though, rather fitting for Stein’s wedding it seems.
“Well if Tsubaki started dating someone, would she move out?”
A fresh wave of panic fills the shadow weapons body, her eyes widening. Soul turns to his blonde haired partner, “Well if they share a room, could you imagine bringing a boyfriend over with a loud fool like BlackStar?”
“What do you think BlackStar?” She isn’t sure who asks but the question itself is a bit sudden.
Her chest thumps. BlackStar glances around the table, then at Tsubaki. Uh oh, he looks a bit serious but she can’t really tell. He opens his mouth and she panics, her hands waving in the air, “W-Well, let’s not talk about my life right now. I’m not with anyone a-and we’re at a wedding so—“
Just in time, music comes on and the band begins a lively song. She sees Maka stand, excitedly, “Oh I love this song, let’s go dance!”
She loops her hands around Soul’s arm and heaves the sluggish weapon to his feet. He groans, “But you can’t dance at all—“
That serves him a famous Maka Chop and he’s dragged, dangling her side towards the dance floor.
Kid sighs, “Well you know the routine girls! In perfect formation!”
Liz shakes her head in defeat and Patty whips up from her seat with a loud, “Woohoo, yay!”
Tsubaki stands up, the heat of the moment disappearing from her cheeks. Saved by the bell, or music, in this case.
“Here BlackStar, wipe your face.” She reaches towards his napkin and he stands up before she can, grabbing it himself.
He raises his head, in his usual rowdy way, “I can do it myself.”
She smiles warmly at him, “I know, I was just reminding you.”
She hopes that he won’t go off and fight with anybody but sure enough, more of their DWMA friends come over and he’s loud and wild again. She’s usually always behind him, with her hands on his back, calming him down but this time, she wants some fresh air. She walks over towards the big windows and pushes them open, walking out towards the balcony. They are covered in white lights so it feels so magical to be outside. It’s a little cold because winter will soon come but it never gets overly cold in Death City.
She lifts her head up to the night sky, taking a deep breath. Then she leans down, her arms on the balcony railing, staring out into the distance.
She sighs, softly, pensively, “Will we really have to separate one day?”
Speaking her fears and anxiety aloud always helps. She’s always one for smiling through it but after what they’ve all be through, with the fight on the moon and all the injuries, she thinks she’s allowed a bit of freedom to speak honestly into the vast night sky. It’s something she been practicing. Honesty.
Then from behind her, she hears footsteps, loud and rushed, a breathlessly excited voice, “Tsubaki!”
It happens just as she says, out loud into the air, “I don’t want be apart from him.”
Her heart pounds and she prays the loud boy didn’t hear her. But before she turns to see him, she hears a soft, serious, “Apart?”
End of Part 1!

This is my sisters art. I know the picture doesn't show everything but, she really is a wonderful artist. I just want to spread her art. She always been somewhat down sometimes on herself as an artist. (I understand. I don't draw but I write) She has a tablet and despite not having photoshop at the moment, I feel as if she doesn't fully have the confidence to pursue her career all the way. I just want to give her some encouragement to prove that she is and will always be a wonderful artist. She's been practicing so hard and has come so far that I just don't want her to give up. Please help me with that! Thank you!
