Our First Episode Is LIVE!
On this day, 19 years ago, we began to write our first ever story together. It seemed very fitting that the first episode of our podcast should come out today!
In this debut episode, join Emma and Esme as we dive headfirst into the world of youthful storytelling. We kick off with our very first book that we wrote together, which began 19 years ago on this day. It's called Living 2 Die and yes, it is every bit as ridiculous and melodramatic as the title suggests. In episode one we start with the prophecy that isn't really a prophecy and puzzle over vague world building and entertaining typos.
Tune in now to listen to our inaugural episode and embark on this exciting journey with us!
You can listen on Spotify, Amazon, Apple Podcasts and pretty much anywhere else you get your podcasts. Or you can listen directly from our website!
Stay tuned for more episodes filled with storytelling, laughter, and shared memories, releasing fortnightly! Don’t forget, we are a new podcast and are just finding our audience. You can help us by liking and sharing our page and telling all your friends about us!

Your exhaustion is not shameful. It is not a moral failure to be physically, mentally or emotionally tired. It is okay to be overwhelmed. You're not inferior to anyone just because it's hard for you to keep up with a fast-paced life.

So Lexi and are in the running for Half Steps Photography's Horse of the Year! We have made it all the way through to the finals. And the last round takes place on Instagram!
I'd love it and be forever grateful if anyone could jump over to insta and like and/or comment to vote for us! (Link below)
Boo is always my horse of the year, but it'd be pretty neat christmas gift to win this to boot. We all know how our horses impact our lives. Lexi came into mine as a gangy two year old way back in 2010. We've grown together and have shared some tough times and some awesome times. She's my heart horse. And having these memories was so special. If you've ever been on the fence about getting a shoot done with your horse, I can only say GO FOR IT. Especially if you have someone as amazing as Lexi (Human!) over at Half Steps Photography! (Seriously, check out her socials and website. S T U N N I N G)

Sometimes I feel like the way society has structured work makes us endlessly tired and unable to devote energy to other things! There’s not really an easy solution, but maybe we shouldn’t be too hard on ourselves when we’re feeling lazy.

We got in a transport today from our rural shelter partners (history: pups abandoned on person's property) and one was a 9 week old puppy with "a swollen face and unable to use his legs." They thought she was sick with something.
The face is because she is a shar-pei mix
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Though I admit she does look like she ate a spicy sky raisin, but she's been like this for a week. It's just her face.
The legs however...
I palpated one limb and felt a very thickened, broken femur, and on the other the femur as a whole had gone walkabout so I thought dislocated.
Vet agreed with me so we took rads.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I mean, that left leg is *technically* not dislocated. Technically. The break on the right is so old there's nothing we can do.
Puppy is going to foster for a month to build muscle in the right leg to, and I quote my vet, "to give her a leg to stand on" since we will be amputating the left.
Also, how long do you think it will take the algorithm to incorrectly flag this?

My mind is still blown by how vet is one of the most depressing jobs with the highest suicide rates and yet there's so many clinics that just accept a toxic work culture like??? The works hard enough bro honestly you don't need a shitty work culture to be the damn cherry on top
