Russia and America

America - American Foxhound. These dogs are generally very sweet, playful, and loyal. They were originally bred for hunting fox (duh), rabbit, duck, and boar, but they can make great family pets. They can be very noisy and have that howl/bark that many hounds have.

Russia - Caucasian Shepherd. A livestock guardian dog bred in southern Russia to protect sheep from wolves.

Friend asked me to draw these guys fighting over a nuke and I thought it was a cute idea lol

Slavic dogs

Bulgaria - Karakachan. Independent and dominant livestock guardian dogs. They are generally quiet, but will bark at people or animals they consider a threat.

Poland - Pomeranian. A companion breed from the Pomerania region, these dogs have had many uses historically. These dogs are very social, friendly, and playful

Slovakia - Slovenský kopov. A scent hound originally bred for tracking deer and boar. They form a close bond with their family, but can be stubborn when they don't want to do something.

Czechia - Czech Mountain Dog. A versatile working dog primarily used for guarding livestock and rescue work in the mountains. They are generally friendly with people and other dogs.

An alternate for Poland - Polish Hunting Spaniel. It doesn't really match Poland's personality, but I love spaniels and wanted to draw one lol. These dogs were bred to track all kinds of game and are very hard working. They don't usually like strangers and tend to form a close bond with only a few people.

Prussia, Austria, and Hungary

Hungary - Mudi. Energetic, intelligent dogs bred to herd livestock. They don't immediately love everyone they meet, but form a very strong bond with their family.

Austria - Dobermann (show line). Intelligent, loyal dogs originally bred for protection work. While the working lines are still used as personal protection dogs, show lines tend to prefer to be spoiled.

Prussia - German Shepherd (working line). These are the German Shepherds used by the police and military. They have very high energy and love to work.

Baltics Dogs

Lithuania - Lithuanian Hound. Sighthounds developed to hunt fox, hare, and boar. They are very loyal hunting companions.

Estonia - Estonian Hound. Calm, friendly dogs originally bred to be hunting companions.

Latvia - Latvian Hound. Intelligent, eager to please hunting dogs.

All three of these guys only had one native dog breed lol. I tried to draw the Lithuanian Hound like 5 or 6 times and it still doesn't look right. Might redo this one in the future.

Nordics Dogs

Finland - Finnish Lapphund. Very friendly and loyal companion dogs that were originally used for herding reindeer.

Sweden - Jämthund. Brave, strong, and stoic dogs bred to hunt large game. They can be very independent, but form a very strong bond with their family.

Denmark - Danish Spitz. A lively, friendly, and curious dog bred to be companions.

Iceland - Icelandic Sheepdog. The only breed native to Iceland! Hardy and curious dogs bred to herd livestock (primarily sheep) in Iceland.

Norway - Norwegian Lundehund. Loyal, protective little dogs bred to hunt puffins in Norway. They're very unique dogs with extra toes to assist in climbing, ears that they can close to help keep dirt and water out, and they're extremely flexible.

Scotland - Scottish Deerhound. Loyal, quiet, and sometimes stubborn sighthounds. They aren't the type to greet every stranger on walks, but they're not known to be aggressive toward people or dogs.

Ireland - Irish Terrier. Lively, protective, high energy dogs.

England - Wire Fox Terrier. Friendly, alert, and intelligent dogs. They love meeting people and dogs, but can be a little protective like most terriers

Prussia - German Shepherd (working line). Very high energy, intelligent, and loyal dogs often seen being used by the police and military. They have a very high drive to work and excel in protection work.

Austria - Dobermann (show line). Very loyal and intelligent dogs. While the working line has tons of energy and can be very protective, the show lines prefer to be spoiled.

Switzerland and Liechtenstein - Hovawart. Very loyal dogs, developed to protect farmland. They can be very territorial with strangers, but are very friendly with people and dogs they know.
