OP is saying Taylor is pissing on the poor.
all goofing aside I genuinely don't understand the urge to reimagine Taylor Allison Swift as a secretly queer icon when the pop music scene(TM) is like. literally overflowing with women who actually like women. Gaga and Kesha and Miley and Halsey are right there. Rina Sawayama and Hayley Kiyoko and Rebecca Black and Kehlani and Victoria Monét and Miya Folick if you're willing to get slightly less top 100. Janelle and Demi for them nonbinary takes on liking girls. like what are we doing here. like I'm not even saying you can't enjoy Taylor but why would you hang all your little gay hopes on her.

apologies for this ridiculously long megathread, but i found a ton of these photographs of taylor from when before she was famous, around ages 14-16, and ooh boy, did they get me thinking…
sometimes i wonder if she just really lucked out with the mostly desexualized “innocent girl-next-door” persona becoming her brand throughout her early career, because it looks like things could have gone in a very different direction for her in another universe.
like you can literally see taylor being de-aged between her debut and fearless era as her public image cemented…the posing, the makeup, the hair, the clothing…it’s all very deliberate and sinister.
and now, all these years later, no one knows better than taylor herself that the most desirable thing a woman can be is not a woman, but a girl…a sexy baby, if you must.
her heart-shaped sunglasses, nothing new, the ten minute version of all too well, would’ve could’ve should’ve…she knows all about society’s sickness, its simultaneous fetishization and destruction of girlhood. she knows because she’s lived through it.
we don’t often categorize her or think of her as one, but she was a child star, and she barely escaped its curse. just barely. but unlike so many other child stars, unlike dolores haze, she survived with her voice and her pen, and she can see it all now, it was wrong.

The last instagram page's name means "very different art"
Very ironic that it comes at the end of this post, after a bazillion other just like itself. I know other instagram pages with the same shtick of female body with a plant head too.

Some headless women art (see the tag for more info on why I track this trend) that I’ve encountered lately.

When men do shit things I am merely proven right. When women do shit things I am stabbed in the back. So of course, being right doesn't anger me as much as being back stabbed. I try to control that anger whenever it shows up but yes, it is, inevitably, always there.
A term I want to invent is the 'hypocrisy fallacy' where people hate you more if they expected you to be on their side and you failed them. also known as 'real evil is when a good man does nothing'. this is what happens to the left-wing all the time. for example, misogyny is perceived as worse from the left-wing because they're supposed to represent us, they're supposed to be better than that. meanwhile the right wing literally enact laws that take away a woman's right to an abortion.
part of it is the frustration of wasted time - these people have taken the language and resources we could use to defend our position and have derailed our discussions and defanged our power. but I still argue that that doesn't make these people worse, or even necessarily just as bad, as the people who actively campaign to destroy human rights in service of the absurdly powerful. I think also because people talk about intra-community issues more, that gets people more easily riled up. this happens within radblr too - women in this community hate on each other way more for what are much more minor evils than anything we experience outside this bubble.
another less loaded (I hope) example is when people hate on vegans for not caring about, say, exploited farmers. in this case the hatred is from an external source and more gleeful, but the hypocrisy fallacy is fully in play - 'if you care, and you're not caring 100%, then you're a hypocrite and I hate you way more than if you were just an honest meat-eater like me'.
I don't think anything can be done about the hypocrisy fallacy - it's just yet another logical fallacy driven by emotion that I think we all should be aware of within ourselves.

Right now the tag feminism is trending. Aside from the first post, which is a random quote all of it is porn.
Tumblr at its finest.

Abstract
When Julius Caesar was stabbed, 23 times, on the Ides of March, at least one of the daggers is supposed to have gone into his groin. He wasn't the last Roman to have his privates attacked. And he wasn't the last primate. In competition for sexual access, gonads are occasionally targeted: canine incisions in monkey and ape scrota are not uncommon; and rumors had a number of Roman emperors—from Caligula and Nero, to Galba, Vitellius, Domitian, Commodus, Caracalla, Elagabalus, to Balbinus, Pupienus and Valerian over the course of the third century crisis—done in with their genitals at risk, or with their genitals cut off.

What is that Dworkin quote that goes "by naming the oppression women are accused of perpetrating it"
About how feminists are victimising women.

She is the woman who changed the game when it came to serialised novels. Publishers wanted them churned out as quickly as possible but she put her foot down and said quality requires time.

Not every white person oppressed Emmet Till so not all white people.
One black man killed a white man, at some point in history, so what happened to Till is not racism, it's just violence.
Economic class, yes. I know of a black CEO so, like, we shouldn't see them as a monolith trying to leech off of the working class. There was also a disabled monarch so like, checkmate. Also look up Beth Ford, there are LGBTQ+ CEOs.
"Ok but if you had an identical black man and an identical white man you can't deny that the white one would have power over the black one."
Yeah, sure in that one spesific situation he'd have power over him.
That's not the fucking world we live in though.
Sorry, we're not bringing "men are a monolithic class" and "all men oppress all women" into 2024. Move the fuck on. Read some feminist theory other than radical feminism. Read feminist theory by women of color. By religious women. By trans people.
expand your fucking mind.
“All men oppress all women”
people genuinely trying to defend the take that "all men oppress all women" should go look up what happened to christian cooper.
for those who don't know him by name, you probably know the white woman who was being aggressive and threatening his life - she's known as "Central Park Karen".
You should also look up, like, Emmet Till.
And it's not just race.
Women caretakers of disabled men have incredible power over the patients in their care. Only someone completely blinded by radical feminism would claim there's not a power dynamic at play there other than the patriarchy.
And economic class too - there are plenty of women bosses and business owners out there oppressing men workers, especially immigrant workers.
And that's not even getting into the power cis women can have over trans men on the basis of being cisgender. (notice I did not say ALL cis women and ALL trans men).
"But a cis woman doesn't have gendered power over a cis man!"
I think "gendered power" is really fucking irrelevant when the woman is the one who has the man's life in her hands, where a slip of a syringe or a word to ICE or a call to the police could potentially lead to his death or deportation.
"Ok but if you had an identical cis woman and an identical cis man, you can't deny he'd have gendered power over her!"
Yeah, sure, in that one specific situation, he'd have power over her.
That's not the fucking world we live in though.
hm ok but consider
