btw it's less "starline made sonic forget everyone" and more like "starline buried sonic's real memories under new, false memories that he constantly reinforces". so when shadow shows up in snowpoint, sonic DOES feel this sort of twinge like, have we met somewhere before? but it's fleeting. and shadow has to really work to dig up sonic's true memories from under the snow of the fake ones :)
