Chakraborty Kingdom of Copper is probably one of my favorite reads this year. The storytelling is so much better from the first book, primarily because the world has been laid out. While the first book was world-building and characterization, this second book is full of power play, politics, and questions on morality. It sometimes reminded me of Game of Thrones. There is also a character who is painted to be the savior but I only see them as a tyrant in the making. When I finished this book, I kept thinking what rating to give and if there is anything I didn’t like to make me deduct points.
