Bio:

In the 1990s, a "doomsday" cult developed that called itself PANEM. The PANEM compound was hidden away deep in the Rocky Mountains of the U.S. In 1999/2000, Finnick Odair was born. His parents were members of PANEM. An elderly woman named Mags used to take Finnick swimming in Sprague Lake during his childhood. He enjoyed fishing in nearby streams and learned how to make fish hooks and knots, eventually becoming a master at the Trident. 

Finnick's life changed, however, when he became fifteen years old (five years into the Wildfire epidemic) and as a punishment for nameless "acts of treason against PANEM" committed by Mr. & Mrs. Odair, Finnick was pimped out by Coriolanus Snow, the current leader of PANEM to Snow's inner circle. Finnick proved to be extremely popular and seemingly lived a life of absolute luxury as far as the common folk knew. 

However, Finnick's life had become a neverending nightmare. There was one advantage to his position that Finnick would soon pick up, and that was collecting secrets amongst his "admirers", many of them involving Snow himself. This information caused Finnick to find himself in the middle of a civil war between Snow and Alma Coin, who had the ambition of dethroning Snow and taking his place as the leader of PANEM. During the fighting, a group of defectors made it out of PANEM and into the world. Mags had given her life to help Finnick and the others escape. The small band considered a teen named Katniss Everdeen to be their leader. Shortly after leaving the compound behind, Finnick had gotten separated somehow from the group and wandered the unfamiliar world on his own. 

(Trigger warnings for cutting & ED) Headcanon: Finnick self-harms and struggles with eating disorders due to the trauma he endured at the PANEM compound.

When she was young, her mother died and her father remarried to Annette. Through that marriage she gained a half-sister Beth, along with a step brother, Shawn. Unhappy with Hershel remarrying, Maggie rebelled, smoking and shoplifting. Over time she grew to accept her family. She is close to Beth, taking on the protective big sister role.

When things began happening, Hershel believed those infected were merely sick people who needed help until there was a cure. Annette and Shawn were unfortunate to get sick and were put into the family barn for safe keeping. Maggie, Beth and Hershel remained isolated at the farm. Maggie would often take a horse to town for supplies when needed.

The farm is eventually found by more survivors and later overrun leaving them to have no choice but to flee. It is during this time Maggie meets and forms a romantic relationship with Glenn. Later they end up marrying and Maggie becomes Maggie Rhee.

Octavia’s mother struggled after her birth, though there was only so much O understood in her young age. Something that never faltered was her brothers protection and love for her. Their bond wasn’t just your typical brother/sister one. It was stronger. Octavia looked up to Bellamy. Sometimes his protectiveness got on her nerves and she lashed out - sassy and headstrong from birth. But she knew he cared about her, did everything he could and she was grateful. Her deep need to grow her independence often caused strife, feeling as if Bellamy viewed her still as that helpless child. She was working on it. Octavia remained by her brothers side throughout his creation of the Delinquents after Wildfire spread, vowing to stay with him to keep him safe.

IMPORTANT CHARACTER INFORMATION TO NOTE AND SHARE: Val grew up poor to a single mother. She did her best for her son, who was born deaf and later became mute as a result. She died, however, when Val was just seven years old and Val ended up in foster care. 

The foster home was generally pretty horrible, but kept Val around until the apocalypse happened. Then, in order to keep their “real” family alive more easily, he was turned out. 

Luckily, a man named Nick Caslin found the ten year old hiding alone in his barn and took him in. Val lived with Nick and travelled with him for years. By the time he was twenty, Nick was well versed in the ways of the dead. He couldn’t hear them, but he could feel their shambling steps, and could smell their rot from yards and yards away. 

And of course, there was Nick. The only person Val ever considered to be a father to him. Nick kept him alive. 

They find a community on a large stretch of farmland in Arkansas called Whispering Pines Ranch. Things go well there for awhile, until one by one, each member of the community starts falling ill. Val goes out on his own for the first time in years to try and find medicine after everyone around him starts dropping like flies. 

Ends up being attacked by another group of survivors, ends up blinded in one eye as he staggers home to Whispering Pines. 

Wakes up from his injuries several days later, locked in a room. Takes him awhile to get out, but he manages to. Finds the dead community members roaming the ranch, all perished to the illness he never caught. 

He manages to escape in a van that was used for supply runs. He’s been running ever since, headed across the US and sleeping in the van for a long time now. Rarely ventures out, and scavenges almost everything he has from broken down cars to avoid straying too far and being caught off guard again.

for the vast majority of his life before the apocalypse, anthony was a good kind of person. a little rebellious in early life-- that led to his parents kicking him out at 18-- but for the most part, he had a good heart. living in london, they went to college and then university, studying physics with space science-- delaying a little bit and not starting until they were around 22 years old because their focus was primarily on finding a job and a place to live first.

in that time, anthony also pursued a vague music career. a band was started, very punky kinda vibes. he got the nickname crowley then and, for the majority of the rest of his life, crowley spent his time between both of his passions: music and space sciences.

then it happened, late 2010 happened. the world went to hell. and crowley, who thought himself a good person all of his life-- who told himself that people who did good, got good things, lost a little of that faith.

especially when through his vast connections, he learns the truth of just how long the virus was kept from the public. it kinda makes him jaded. and when he ends up stuck stateside, trying to survive with his friends… when he has to kill a dear friend who got bit and turned, it changes something in crowley.

about a year into the apocalypse, crowley is alone. he's fought, watched all of his friends and those he cared about die for different reasons. he's done things he never imagined himself doing, just in order to survive. he no longer feels like the person he was before this all started and it haunts him. he travels from place to place, never staying anywhere too long. afraid to get close to anyone.

by the time he's picked up by the saviors who admire his brutal fighting style ( and maybe some notice him, 'weren't you in that band--' ), he feels utterly disconnected from reality and his humanity. joining with the saviors feels like the smart move. it's how he'll survive. and, well, at least it's a bed to sleep in. he doesn't have to like them. he doesn't have to form close bonds. it's about surviving. it's about not being on the wrong side of that bat.

crowley knows the things hes a part of isn't exactly right nor good. but good never seemed to get anywhere, did it? nothing seemed to really matter.

the day he goes on a pick up with the saviors and sees abe (now going by aziraphale), something long locked away in crowley seems to spark to life again.

it's… hard though. being on opposing sides. it's hard seeing someone you've known through different periods of life, knowing that they too have lost so much. crowley struggles a lot with how to be with the knowledge of it all, and it causes for some stolen moments, but also some intense arguments.

by the time the war ends, crowley has a choice. leave, go and find some place else for himself. move along again. or… try. try at life. at redemption. at trying to build something again and maybe, start to move past the things he'd done.

it's not easy, nothing ever is with the apocalypse. but slowly but surely, crowley has been piecing himself together over the years. there have been backslides, there have been moments he's thought about running away from it all. but he's still here. he's trying. and he really hopes one day he'll feel worthy of forgiveness.
