It's an Aston-Martin DB2/4 Spyder, with body by Bertone, from 1953. The general shape and proportions remind us very much of the Arnolt-Bristol, also from this time frame and also designed by Bertone.

Display anything from the 1957 Chrysler corporate line next to the 1957 GM offerings and realize that GM got caught short. Not to worry, though. They certainly did their best to make up for it with their 1959 line.
Technically, it's an Imperial, and not a Chrysler Imperial, as Chrysler had registered Imperial as a separate and distinct make several years earlier. We think those wire wheels are an aftermarket addition, and they certainly do add a goodly measure of class to this droptop.
