Take a peek into Irrfan Khan's bohemian house
From the stage to television to the silver screen, Irrfan Khan has established himself as an actor to be reckoned with. His latest role as a homeowner has him drop his mask for Architectural Digest. Arguably the finest actor in current Hindi cinema, Khan has moved from a home on Madh Island, a quick boat ride away from the Mumbai mainland, to a high-rise in Oshiwara, an area close to Lokhandwala, the suburban neighbourhood that houses many of his film and television colleagues. It is a literal hop from the fringes to the thick of it, akin to the actor’s career. When asked where he will keep the Oscar, Irrfan laughs. “So many awards mean so little, but that… that is an award that would change everything; it can open up every choice for an actor.” He pauses, surely aware that, as an actor on the radar of the world’s best film-makers, he isn’t too far from that possibility. “If it were ever to come, it would come with its own place. It would find its own place.” To read more, grab your copy of Architectural Digest India’s October 2016 issue, out on stands now.

“The jhoola is a must,” Irrfan says, as he stops by a swing. He confesses to a mirror fetish—“I always peer into them even if I’m walking by in a hurry”—dating back to well before he considered becoming an actor, and this house fulfils one of his longest-held fantasies. “I finally have an area surrounded by mirrors, where I can see myself from every angle.”
Tumblr media
“It is important for me to have a water body,” Irrfan explains, passionately (and oddly) specific, pointing to something that looks like a Turkish bathtub, a square of blue stone. “It has to have its own ecosystem, survive on its own. That fascinates me. That the fishes don’t have to be given oxygen separately, that the water doesn’t have to be cleaned or changed.”
Tumblr media
His new television hasn’t been delivered yet. The corresponding gap in the bedroom bookshelf, thus, has been temporarily stacked, haphazardly, with awards of every description.

Kajol reveals the story behind her infamous unibrow!
In an all new episode of Vogue BFFs, Bollywood superstar Kajol will be seen spending time and hanging out with her mentor and close friend Mickey Contractor. Speaking on the three decade long friendship she shares with Mickey, Kajol said, “It’s been a great experience. Of course being with Mickey is great fun. Hopefully it translates on the show when you see what exactly is this all about “
The two friends will take a journey down memory lane, highlighting personal and professional incidents that helped strengthen their bond. Kajol shared that her mother only agreed on ‘Bekhudi’ as her debut after learning that Mickey would be doing her hair and make-up. “Maa only gave Rahul uncle the permission for the film saying I know for a fact that Gautam is writing the film and Mickey is doing the hair and make-up and everything else. So I know she is going to be safe” Talking about her signature uni-brow look, Kajol revealed, “Actually Mickey was the one who convinced everybody that I should go with this unibrow”
Mickey also shared a few stories of his own. Talking about Kajol’s marriage with Ajay Devgn, he shared, “You know the first time that she told me about him (Ajay Devgn), I was quite shocked. I didn’t know him that well then, maybe I know him a little better now. But just a little bit better. When she told me that she is getting married, I was like Ok, so who are you getting married to? Then she said asked me to guess. So I only asked her if it is somebody within films. She said yes. I asked actor, technician. She said actor. I had gone through a whole list of people. I had never imagined Kajol and Ajay together as a couple before. I mean they had done films. But he is very different from what she is, and I guess that’s where the attraction came in.”
While Kajol is quite proud of her current ‘homemaker’ status, she revealed an interesting fact about her cooking skills. When Kamal asked Kajol if she could cook, Kajol had a very witty reply to her question! She said, “Vaguely. I have every restaurant on my speed dial, I know how to give instructions to my cook! I will not starve, in other words.”
Her talent and personality cannot be limited by her cooking skills!
You can catch the Kajol and Mickey in the next episode of Vogue BFFs, on Saturday.

It's time to show solidarity with our jawans: Big B on 74th birthday
Megastar Amitabh Bachchan, on his 74th birthday on Tuesday, said that while the people in the country are raging with anger, it's time for civilians to show solidarity with the soldiers who fight for their safety.
The ongoing bilateral tensions between India and Pakistan spilled over to the entertainment world in both nations when some Indian outfits demanded that Pakistani artistes must be ousted from the country.
Asked about the debate about the ban on Pakistani actors, Amitabh said: "People of this country are very angry by the incidents that have been happening at our borders. It's time to show solidarity. It's time to show solidarity towards our jawans and armed forces who are sacrificing their lives so that you and me can be safe."
The actor spoke to the media at his office here on the occasion of his birthday. His last release "Pink" raised an important issue of stereotypes associated with women and their safety in the country. It led to debates galore, but Big B said he doesn't pick films to leave a social impact as such on the society.
"We don't do films thinking it will make an impact or not. If I get a good character and good story, then I decide whether to do it or not. If after doing any role, there is an impact in the society, then it's great," said the National Award winning actor.
His next project "Thug" will also feature Aamir Khan. He said he is looking forward to that opportunity.
"There have been many attempts for us to work together, but we haven't yet. So yes, I look forward to that opportunity. He is a great star and great actor. He has been ruling the box office and industry for a long time," he said.
The Indian film industry has been going through ups and downs, and there has been talk of various studios shutting shop. One cited reason has been the high remuneration demands of stars.
Big B says such hurdles will come and go, but the film industry will always be alive.
"This is the film industry and this will be alive and going on. Such hurdles and problems will be coming, but the film industry will go on. The actors are blamed saying they have taken a lot of money and that's why a film got flopped.
"That actor has the power to get the audience to come to theatres... Then if an actor is demanding more money, then what's wrong in it? If the film doesn't work, in the next film they get (paid) less," added the actor, who has worked in Bollywood for over four decades and became popular as Hindi cinema's Angry Young Man and Shahenshah.
On Tuesday, Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan unveiled a jukebox gifted to him by his fans. He said it is "precious and memorable" for him.
"A few years back, someone for Amsterdam had come and told me, 'We make such things and we would like to make something for you'. I don't know whether a jukebox will be there or not in the future but this gift is very memorable and precious to me. I will keep this in my office here," Amitabh told the media at his office here on Tuesday morning.
With a career that has spanned over four decades, the actor has explored various characters and looks. He has also travelled widely and explored new things. His hunger to learn more hasn't gone.
On his birthday, he said he hopes to learn to play new instruments and learn new languages.
"I can't play any instruments, but we do have different instruments at our place and I want to learn to play different instruments. I want to learn different languages. I will take out time for that," said the actor, whose energy and passion towards his craft leave many of his juniors in the industry in awe.
As a Sunday routine, the gates of the actor's residence get thronged by fans who wait to catch a glimpse of him and wave at him. On his birthday too, fans came in to greet him.
Asked about how he was planning to spend the day, he said: "I will be spending my day with my family."
Big B, who married actress Jaya Bhaduri, has two children -- daughter Shweta and son Abhishek, and three grandchildren -- Navya Naveli, Agastya and Aaradhya.

Pics: Get a sneak peek into Alia Bhatt's new home!
Architectural Digest India is the very first to see Alia Bhatt’s new house, which she will be sharing with her sister Shaheen: “Before my friends, before my family, even before my father!”, she says. It was during the shooting of the Vikas Bahl-directed Shaandaar that Alia Bhatt met Richa (Vikas’s wife), whom she would end up asking to design her new house. Although there was no real brief, she was very clear about what she didn’t want. “I told Richa I didn’t want it to be too modern. I wanted it to feel a little old, with a New York loft kind of feel. And I didn’t want anything overtly glamorous, like chandeliers, or marble floors.” She purchased the house two years ago, choosing it over two others she had seen, because of its closeness to her parents’ house. “It was really a no-brainer for me,” she says, with much more confidence than you would expect from a 23-year-old speaking of her first home. The renovation took around a year and a half, and the space’s four bedrooms were reconfigured to three. Richa fashioned Alia’s dressing room into a separate space to ensure the rest of the house would be private, even if the actress was in the midst of fittings. “You know, when she’s getting ready it’s not just her. There’s the stylist, the make-up artists, the spot boys, the ironing guys... it’s like a mela in there,” says Richa, in mild horror. A lobby now separates that space from the large living room, which has turned out to be a cosy mix of New York loft and Swiss chalet, with white walls, comfortable sofas, concrete-tiled floors and expansive windows that incongruously– though not unpleasantly–look out to Mumbai’s very tropical trees. The palette here is surprisingly mature. Alia wanted the space to be as completely removed from the glamour associated with Bollywood as possible, and even the lighting is muted, in deliberate contrast to the harsh spotlight—literal and figurative—in which the actress usually finds herself. The one thing the sisters insisted on in the house was a “tea bar”, because apparently, they’re both “really into tea. Just totally obsessed,” says Alia, sounding like a sprightly octogenarian. It’s hard to imagine anyone (young or old) comfortably drink tea while perched up on a bar stool, but the hip flask on the bar counter that reads, “I didn’t text you, vodka texted you,” indicates that other beverages might be served as well. "Film industry is eternal", Amitabh Bachchan on his 74th birthday
Addressing media on his 74th birthday, megastar Amitabh Bachchan said the film industry is eternal and it will function forever. When asked if the enormous amount of money going into film productions or paying whopping sums to stars could lead to a downfall of Bollywood, the veteran star said, "I have been facing this question for the 47 years, referring to closure of businesses, people have been making speculations that the industry wouldn't last long, but I must tell you, it is eternal."
"It will live forever, obstructions and challenges might come in its way, some would attain success, some might face disappointment, but the industry will stand upright forever." Justifying the growing trend of charging actors exorbitantly, the 'Pink' star said, "It is usually said that because so much money is paid to the actor, the budget of the movie failed, but I do not agree to this. If an artist possesses enough potential to draw millions of people to cinema theaters and the box office, what's the harm in paying him a certain amount of money he is asking for?" Big B further said, "If his (actor) fee is covered in the total profit of the film, then it is not a bad thing, if it doesn't not happen, the actor is paid less in his next movie."
One of the most celebrated actors of B-Town, who has been awarded with some of the highest civilian awards of the nation, including Padma Vibhushan, Padma Bhushan and Padma Shree, also has seven honorary decorates and 12 national awards to his name.
Amitabh, on his 74th birthday becomes the first Indian to have a limited collection 'Juke Box' of his own. Gifted by his fans from The Netherlands, the box is one of the only 100 pieces produced worldwide. Specially manufactured on 74th number, the one gifted to him is also the first piece for the Indian market.
The superstar made his film debut in 1969 as a voice narrator in Mrinal Sen's National Award winning film 'Bhuvan Shome'. His first acting role was as one of the seven protagonists in the film 'Saat Hindustani' directed by Khwaja Ahmad Abbas. 'Anand' followed, in which he starred alongside Rajesh Khanna. His role as a doctor with a cynical view of life garnered Bachchan his first Filmfare Best Supporting Actor award.
Many of his films during the early period did not do well, but he rose to stardom from 1973 and gave some of hit evergreen hits including 'Zanjeer', 'Abhimaan', 'Namak Haram', 'Roti Kapda aur Makaan', 'Sholay' and several others.

Radhika Apte talks about her movies, marriage and Rajnikanth
Radhika Apte is one busy actress. You might know her from 'Kabali', 'Phobia', 'Badlapur', 'Manjhi' to just name a few. So when she's not doing any Bollywood movies, Apte dabbles into Bengali films, Tamil and Telugu movies, even Marathi flicks, not to mention theatre. Apart from that, she is busy gracing the covers of fashion magazines and now is also associated with a watch brand (Swatch Group). This makes us wonder if the actress-of-the-moment ever takes a breather. We recently caught up with the actress for a quick conversation to get to know her a wee bit better, her passions and just how was it working with the biggest living superstar, Rajnikanth. - Saloni Dhruv
Tumblr media
Apart from Hindi films, you have also dabbled with Bengali cinema, Tamil and Telugu movies and even Marathi films. How do you pick and choose your films?
So yes, I have been a part of regional cinema, but it hasn’t been a conscious choice. It basically happened because the kind of films which were offered to me were very interesting and I wanted to do them. As to how I choose my films is very instinctive, there is no one criteria or a rule book to what gets me excited about certain film.
Tumblr media
People know very little about you. So apart from films, what are you into?
People know what they need to know. I love dancing. I love travelling, cooking, reading, watching films, spending time with friends, so that basically sums up what I do.
Tumblr media
Most people also don’t know that you are married to violinist Benedict Taylor. Do you think married actresses in Bollywood are perceived differently?
I don’t think married actors are perceived differently at all. I have never hidden my marriage, but I have also never spoken about my personal life out loud because I don’t think its anybody's business. (Image courtesy: Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/radhikaapte/?hl=en )
Tumblr media
We now see you getting into fashion with this collaboration with Swatch. How did it come about?
I got the deal through my management, but I can’t tell you how happy I am because I really couldn’t be associated with any other brand than Swatch. They are literally the 'baap' of watchmaking. Now I gladly flaunt my wrist everywhere!
Tumblr media
What was it working with one of the biggest stars in the world – Rajnikanth, in ‘Kabali’?
I think it was a treat to work with Rajnikanth. It is one of my best experiences so far. I am so fortunate, I am so grateful that I got this once in a life time opportunity to work with him. He is so humble, simple, hardworking, sincere, and such a legend.

The ever elegant Rekha and the movies she is best known for
Most of the world know Rekha as Amitabh Bachchan's life-long lover (thanks to the rumours and their chemistry in 'Silsila', 'Muqaddar Ka Sikandar', Mr Natwarlal' to name a few). But you can't deny that she is a fierce, sexy, elusive actresses with a kind of a vulnerability that she showcases through her roles. Very few know about how the actress is in real life. In 2003, when film journalist Anupama Chopra, visited Rekha, she wrote that while tabloids had portrayed her as a reclusive woman twisted bitter by lecherous men and loneliness, in reality Rekha was none of that; she described her as chatty and curious, excited and energetic, cheerful and almost illegally optimistic. To understand the evergreen actress better, journalist/film commentator and author Yasser Usman came out with a biographic on the diva, 'Rekha: The Untold Story', which chronicles her life and days in Bollywood, with everything little secret revealed; from her alleged affaire with Amitabh Bachchan to the suicide of her husband Mukesh Agarwal to why she wears sindoor and mangalsutra everywhere. But as the sultry actress turns 62 today, take a look movies that made her so popular today. - Saloni Dhruv, images from Movie Talkies and Getty
Tumblr media
Do Anjaane (1976):
In this Dulal Guha directed drama, she plays an overambitious Bengali housewife who connives with her husband, Amitabh Bachchan’s best friend, Prem Chopra, to murder him.
Tumblr media
Ghar (1978):
As a rape survivor housewife who is nurtured back to normal life by her supportive husband, Rekha lends credibility to her character's pain and trauma through her performance. Some of Lata Mangeshkar’s most memorable melodies like 'Tere bina jiya jaye na' and 'Aaj kal paaon zameer par' were picturised on her.
Tumblr media
Muqaddar Ka Sikandar (1978):
In this cult movie, Rekha plays Zohra, who silently loves ill-fated Sikandar (Amitabh Bachchan) and watches him die. The movie gained immense popularity, especially with the song 'Salaam-e-Ishq'.

Khubsoorat (1980):
Did you know that in 'Khubsoorat', that Hrishikesh Mukherjee wrote the role of the incorrigible do-gooder who takes on her sister’s disciplinarian mother-in-law, especially for Rekha? This was the second turning-point in her career after 'Ghar'.
Tumblr media
Umrao Jaan (1981):
Considered as one of her best movies with great performance and excellent soundtrack, Rekha was a plays Lucknowi courtesan whose adventurous life is defined and defiled by the various men she encounters.
Tumblr media
Silsila (1981):
In Yash Chopra's Silsila, Rekha's pitch-perfect portrayal of the other woman in an extra marital affair was memorable. In her confrontation scene with Jaya, Rekha held her own in an inspired performance.
Tumblr media
Jeevan Dhaara (1982):
Rekha's standout performance in this film earned her a Filmfare Best Actress nomination. Unlike other sacrificial heroines who silently give up their own happiness for the sake of the family, Rekha’s - the sole breadwinner of her family - never ceases to remind them just how much she has given up to put food on their table, in the movie.
Tumblr media
Utsav (1984):
As a fifth century courtesan Vasantsena in Girish Karnad's Utsav, Rekha's sensuous turn was a highlight of the film, not to forget the memorable songs she starred in.
Tumblr media
Ijaazat (1987):
The film in which Rekha worked with director Gulzar, Ijaazat featured her in the role of a wife who allows her husband (played by Naseeruddin Shah) to return to his first love. An unconventional love story even by today's standards, Ijaazat saw Rekha at her restrained best.
Tumblr media
Khoon Bhari Maang (1988):
This revenge drama saw Rekha in two radically different avatars. From Aarti -the plain Jane rich widow - Rekha transforms into Jyoti -- the smoldering diva -- when she returns to seek revenge for her attempted murder in the film.

In pics: Disha Patani merrily drives her friends (including Tiger Shroff) around town!
From being a shy tomboy as a young girl to becoming a confident young actress, Disha Patani has come a long way. And now, her role in the super hit Dhoni film is winning her a lot of fans indeed.
But prior to her fame in acting, Disha was known to be the secret girlfriend of one of Bollywood's youngest and might-we-say fittest actor, Tiger Shroff. While the two have denied being in a relationship, they have always been spotted together. Yesterday our photographers spotted them along with their friends out and around town.
And the "tomboy" Disha was seen driving the boys around in her car. We have those snaps for you. Take a look. Earlier, before the release of her debut film, M.S. Dhoni- The Untold Story, where she plays the cricketer’s girlfriend, she sat down for an interview with SpotboyE.com and revealed many aspects about the person behind the actress.
Excerpts from the interview:
Your special friendship with Tiger Shroff has been spoken about a lot. Does it bother you? What will you say about Tiger and your camaraderie?
You know, so many people have asked me about him and have talked about it, but no one has ever printed or shown that anywhere. So, it does not affect my relationship with him. If anything, it’s only my work that affects me. These things (rumours) are part and parcel of our life and shall come and go. Right now my film hasn’t released, so they know me as somebody’s girlfriend. But once my film is out, I want them to know me for just my work.
Tell us about your journey during the course of this film?
For anyone their first film is a beautiful journey. Every day is special and as exciting as the previous day. I had lots of fun and learnt a lot from every actor and, of course, the director Neeraj (Pandey) sir.
You are kick-starting your career in films with a biopic on M.S. Dhoni, who is great sportsman. So were sports an important aspect of your childhood?
I was a state level basketball player and my family is crazy about cricket. I remember every one would gather around the TV and watch World Cups and T20 matches. I like cricket, but not a fan of the sport.
Have you followed Dhoni’s game?
I used to follow his game till I was in school. Post that I shifted to a hostel in college and didn’t have access to a TV. He is in an inspiration; be it his long hair, which became a fashion statement or his famous helicopter shots, he has always left me mesmerised. Also, his struggle to become the captain of the Indian team and how he has changed himself from that phase to this phase, is very interesting.
Did you always dream of becoming an actress?
I never thought I would become an actor because I was extremely shy. I couldn't speak to people and thought they would all judge me. In fact, I hardly had friends till I was 15. Becoming an actress was pure destiny and I think not knowing what’s going to happen next, is the best way to explore yourself.
So how did modelling happen?
My mother is fond of beauty pageants and wanted me to participate. I took part in a city-based pageant, but I wasn't into it so much then probably because I was a tomboy while growing up and couldn’t think of wearing heels and make up. I was declared the runner-up and soon after, began getting offers from Mumbai for modelling. I was making money off it so I thought, ‘Why not?’ Eventually there came a point when I had to pick between pursuing B.Tech or modelling and my inner voice told me that the latter was my calling. I was apprehensive about living alone in Mumbai, but I gave it a shot. Now, I am here and am happy.
What was your family's reaction when you told them that you are taking up modelling as a full-time job?
I remember I was 18-19 years old and was confused between B.Tech and modelling. At that point, my mother came up to me and said that I should do what my heart says and they would always be there for me. They are the ones who got me here and whatever I am now is because of them (smiles).
Did you face any unpleasant experience during your struggle period?
Every day was a struggle and I had to repeatedly convince myself that I can make it. I felt low because, in a way, I felt I was stuck in Mumbai. Also I was very young and immature. All of a sudden I had to be this woman who has to look good and make an effort to convince people about her abilities through her commercials. I would miss my friends back in college and the small things like sitting in the canteen, chilling. However, slowly and steadily, I began enjoying being this independent woman. My family was proud of me and that was moment when I felt that this is where I belong.
You left studies (B.Tech) midway, but were you academically sound?
Yes, I was. I would also participate in extracurricular activities like dancing and games. But when I joined college, the medical students around me were only interested in studies and nothing else. Somewhere I began feeling that I don’t belong here because I always wanted to something apart from studies. I never attended classes but I was the student who would study the night before and still score good marks.
We have all had a first crush. Who was yours?
It was Goku from Dragon Ball Z (A Japanese anime series that was huge hit amongst school kids and even college teens in the late '90s and early 2000). I know it is weird, but I used have dreams about him when I was young and I felt that he is my kind of guy. My sister and I used to park ourselves in front of the TV set everyday to watch the show. In fact, we even watched the repeat telecasts.
Coming back to the film, tell us how was it working with Sushant (Singh Rajput)?
He is amazing. He is a very friendly guy and doesn’t, for once, make you feel intimidated or nervous. He doesn’t tell you what you have to do, which I feel is his best part. He knew I was newcomer and there will be a few things that I don’t know, but he gave that space to explore it myself. Also we both are Rajputs, so we would talk about food and Delhi.
What kind of cuisines do you enjoy?
I miss Delhi food so much. If you have grown up in Delhi, Lucknow or just anywhere in North India, you wouldn’t be able to forget the food; it’s unbeatable. Here, I have tried the vada pav from the famous joint near Mithibai College and it was tasty. I have a soft spot for sweets; I love chocolates.
It is said that two actresses can never be friends. How was your experience of working with Kiara Advani, who is part of the film too?
I met Kiara for the first time during the promotions of the film. And we bonded well. She is a sweet person; we should've worked together.
Coming to the captain of your ship, Neeraj Pandey. He is a very talented filmmaker. What is that one thing you learnt working with him?
Do not act. He used to tell me that these are your lines, just say them as you will in your daily life and it actually works well because when you will see those scenes in the film, you will feel for the characters.

Arjun on Anil: "He does not tell me how I should become better"
Quite contrary to what the world would think of their equation to be, Anil Kapoor says that he doesn’t give his children any advice on acting. At the shoot of COLORS Infinity’s Vogue BFFs, Anil Kapoor said, “To be honest with you, nobody really gives anybody any advice. We let everyone experience their own journeys. We’re always there.” Arjun Kapoor, who agreed with his chachu, said, “I always believe the one thing that should be, your choices should be your own because tomorrow whether it is success or failure, you should not point a finger at somebody else and say you told me to do this or you were saying to do this. It has to be an organic process that comes from within you. Like, I’ve sat with him and spoken but he does not tell me how I should become a better actor. You just have conversations that things stay with you. Like, just now he was sitting here, before it started and he said, “Don’t think about the fact that you start sweating.” It’s a very irrelevant thing for acting…that learning has no context in a performance but it’s a psyche that allows me to say you know this man after so many years has that thought process, you’ve to inculcate it within yourself also! So it doesn’t have to be what advice he’s given me, it’s what I’m also willing to absorb out of being around him.” Take a behind the scene look at the cool duo, Arjun Kapoor and Anil Kapoor along with Anaita Adajania Shroff and Adhuna Bhabani Akhtar, before they reveal all on 'Vogue BFFs', coming Saturday. - Images from Yogen Shah

Rima Jain's 60th birthday bash saw the who's-who of Bollywood
Ranbir Kapoor celebrated his birthday with aunt Rima Jain in a grand style. While Kapoor turned 34, aunt Rima was celebrating her 60th birthday. Rima Jain is the second daughter of Raj Kapoor, granddaughter of Prithviraj Kapoor, sister to Rishi Kapoor, Randhir Kapoor, Rajiv Kapoor and Ritu Nanda. To join in the celebrations, the who's who of Bollywood landed at the party; everyone from the Bachchans to the Ambanis to the whole Kapoor khandan (including the very regal Kareena and Saif Ali Khan) were seen at Amadeus in Nariman Point, Mumbai. Check out the pictures of who all we spotted at the bash. - Images by Yogen Shah

Here's why Kareena Kapoor gives Manish Malhotra the credit for Geet’s popularity in 'Jab We Met'
In 2007, thanks to Geet from 'Jab We Met', Bollywood witnessed Kareena Kapoor in a light like never before. While her role was critically acclaimed and the film equally loved, her look became an even bigger fashion statement, and before you knew it, every girl on the street was wearing Patiala pants with a printed t-shirt! With her character written by director Imtiaz Ali himself, Kareena swears by the fact that it was ace designer Manish Malhotra who actually brought the character to life. In a candid conversation with Kamal Sidhu, on the show 'Vogue BFFs', Kareena said, “When we did 'Jab We Met', you have to give Manish this credit and Imtiaz has to know this and he does know it, that the entire outfit was Manish’s idea! He told Imtiaz “We should put a film print on her t-shirt. She should wear this t-shirt and Patiala and he suggested it!” He said, “It will look amazing, Bebo” and he decided that he should put Mughal-e-azam on the t-shirt! And it became a rage!” If it wasn’t for Manish, we wouldn’t have had the Geet's style that we’ve all come to love!
