I cannot believe I'm still seeing people get annoyed at others for "forcing influencers and celebrities to pick a side." This isn't some pick a side thing. Civilians are dying disproportionately in their thousands for ethnic cleansing reasons, and people pushing for ceasefire need bigger and bigger audiences to leave even a dent on the war machine. If you aren't against that, you're incredibly immoral, you have no backbone. Comfort is the most important thing to you. When they say evil can be banal, this is what they mean.
If the resistance of the oppressed disrupts the peace of the privileged and oppressive, so be it.

today a small group of around 80 pro palestine protesters managed to shut down the bay bridge, which connects the cities of san francisco and oakland, for around 6 hours.
their strategy? they parked their cars in a horizontal line to block west bound traffic, and then proceeded to throw their keys into the water bellow.
joe biden is currently visiting san francisco for the apec summit.

just got a weak-ass non-reponse from one of my senators in response to the pathetic pleading our stupid fucking system forces me to have to do to stop our tax dollars from being used to murder 10,000 civilians (and counting) so out of spite here's a handy tip for folks in the us who keep getting told to call their reps and hate the phone:
when it comes to contacting your representatives, emails are better than nothing and phone calls answered by a person do have an effect, but another hard-to-ignore way to send a message is to send a letter that politicians and their staffers have to physically handle in order to address and physically dispose of in order to ignore its contents—or, just as good as a letter, a good old-fashioned fax
i've been using faxzero.com. it has pages that link to pre-populated forms to directly fax your senators, congressional representatives, and governors. you can send five faxes a day for free, and if enough people do that our representatives' offices could be filled with an obnoxious volume of paper faxes begging them to stop funding mass murder
i know a lot of leftists have mixed feelings on contacting representatives at best. personally, i hate it and usually find it a humiliating waste of political energy better spent elsewhere. however, getting politicians onboard is the fastest way to get the bombings to stop and any indignity is worth enduring if it stops the slaughter still going on as i write this. and for real, it's easy and occasionally a little cathartic. so, please, for the sake of the millions still left in gaza, flood your shitty senator's office until they can't ignore us anymore

Massive fuck you to everyone who is talking about Palestinians as if we’re already all dead and sharing more solidarity with our corpses than us living. “We will never forget the beautiful Palestinian people-“ how about you stop “making peace” with Palestinian extermination. My people are not going to be forgotten because we are going to live. Palestinians have already survived one genocide and have been surviving one ever since.
Do not ever let the idea that all Palestinians are going to die exist in your mind. Mourn the dead, fight like hell for the living.

There are not enough words to describe this. They are attacking homes and any gazan institution. There is no safe place to hide from the bombs. they are bombing all symbols of life and palestinian expression for the purpose of taking over gaza and placing their own authority, their own institutions, their own settlements atop the largest palestinian mass grave. And the israeli public is cheering for it

Israel has worked hard to portray Gaza as a barren wasteland, backwater that is a terrorist stronghold. In reality, Gaza is a beautiful city/region with a rich history that has been decimated from constant bombings and strangled by the blockade. So much of what is being destroyed by Israel are restaurants, bookshops, schools, universities, houses and much of what contributes to life in Gaza and people’s livelihoods. Places that are attached to and filled with the memories of Palestinians in Gaza. It’s not just about making life miserable for the people who live there, but about projecting a particular image of Gaza to the world. This is also similar to how the US has portrayed places like Afghanistan to justify its invasions.

democrats and republicans just voted together to censure Rashida Tlaib, the only Palestinian American serving in the US federal government, for calling out the Israeli government’s genocide of Palestinians and Biden’s complicity. you can read her statement here.
they fear us. they know most Americans are calling for a ceasefire. they know the real power lies in the hands of the people. don’t stop talking about Palestine, boycotting, protesting. free Palestine.

The use of white phosphorous in Palestine is so calculated and insidious because not only does it cause horrific, usually fatal burns but its residue in the envionrment can cause illness, birth defects, and cancers for generations afterward. Look at the Twitter account Fallujah Birth Defects (graphic) which documents defects and abnormalities so rare most medical journals don't have them. White phosphorous was dropped in Fallujah in 2004 and it's still killing Iraqi babies. What do you think it's going to do to the survivors of the Palestinian genocide.
