The turtles who are more free to roam would possess certain social skills that their stealthier counterparts wouldn't. I mean all the turtles can improv and do disguises, but the rise and 87 kids can walk through a crowded shopping mall and do something about it if someone gets their order wrong. Like

Over the years the way my things have panned out for how I write Axel and Namine together and how I write Axel and Kairi together has basically ended up as, like.

in the japanese suburbs, every street is lined with rain gutters, so even during heavy rain, the streets are perfectly navigable, even on foot. in the american suburbs, there's like one drain every couple of streets, so whenever it storms, the streets turn into rivers

I’m a sucker for Good Dad Splinter ever since I watched TMNT ‘03. That rat was gifted sapience and his immediate instinct was kindness. I love that for him.

Rise Splinter lived a rollercoaster of a life, but as a Hollywood star he remembered the names of all his stunt guys and coworkers, and as a prisoner he cared for the rat that shared his cell. His sons are very close and physically affectionate, I think that says something about how he cares? That’s just how I like to headcanon him :)

It’s interesting to explore the idea that a seemingly monstrous transformation is what pushed him to be a kinder human
