Announcing WestAllen Fanfiction Commissions!

Happy Flash Tuesday WestAllen fandom! Longtime no talk. 

I've admittedly been distant from the show for the last year, but I miss fanfiction and writing. Over the past few years, I’ve had free time on my hands and have been able to write and share with everyone. Now however, I am reeling from the effects of a very expensive return back to school and am considering new ways to get some extra cash. And the biggest lesson I have learned over the last year is that time is money when you’re a student.

So I thought one thing I could do was take requests for fanfiction commissions! I'm not sure how long this will go on, it’s really just a test run for now. I’ve never done this before, but if I find it to be something feasible and I get a solid response, I may just continue! 

Here’s how it'll work:

I will accept requests through direct chat messages on this Tumblr or on Twitter (@iriswestsintern). I find this is an easier way to go back and forth and discuss than to do so via my Inbox which is still closed as of now. 

I have never really written chapter-length stories and I find that I do best with one-shots, drabbles, or shorter stories. For this reason, that’s what I am open to writing at this time. If you have an idea or concept for a multi-chaptered fic, I am open to hearing about it and I will determine if it’s something I can take on.

I will only take requests where Barry/Iris are the main romantic couple featured (duh). Other characters or relationships can be included, but I’m noting this to mean I won’t center other couples or write any non-canon/crackships. Things like Savitar/Iris, or Earth-2 Iris/Barry or another version of WestAllen I am not opposed to, it just depends on the request. 

If I can’t or don’t want to write something, I will let you know. And if I can’t complete your fic after a payment, I will obviously refund you right away.

I haven’t been watching Season 7, so I’ll need some background info if a request is related to the latest episodes. 

Costs: 

I will share my PayPal with commissioners directly

One-shot (500-1,500 words) ($5)

One-shot with smut ($8) 

Guidelines: 

Smut is more because it really is harder for me to write.

As far as smut, as long as you (the commissioner) are 18 or older, I am willing to write it. Feel free to ask, but I still retain the right to say no. 

I can do fluff, angst, canon stuff, missing moments, rewrites, flashbacks, AUs, etc just keep in mind again that it will have to be a one-shot.

BONUS: 

If anyone needs help with editing a paper or resume/cover letter or even fanfiction or a creative project, I’m also happy to offer my services for a small fee.

Happy New Year

Popping in for the first time in MONTHS to wish everyone a safe start to 2021. I miss the fun parts of being in this community and I absolutely miss writing fanfic. I definitely underestimated what starting school would be like, because there’s been little time for anything let alone writing. Here’s to hoping I can better manage things in the upcoming year to be able to have fun with fanfic again!

To My Followers and Readers

This is going to sound really dramatic, and maybe it is, but that’s just the kind of person I am. I wanted to write something to you guys because I genuinely have bittersweet feelings about no longer being able to share on this blog as much as I used to. I’m starting a significant new chapter in my story, one that I’m very excited about, but one that will come at the expense of doing many of the things I enjoy, like writing and connecting with friends I’ve made on here.

The WestAllen/Flash fandom has been a huge part of my life over the last five years, and now that I won't be able to be as involved as I have before, I still wanted to give a shoutout to the people I’ve befriended, shared some laughs and discussions with over the years, who ever let me know directly how much they enjoy my posts, whoever checked in on me and offered encouragement, or whoever fulfilled a request for me, because it really has meant so much to me. To anyone who ever read my stuff and appreciated it, know that I appreciate you and that it’s a great comfort to me when I remember that people like you have responded well to something I created. I appreciate you guys on AO3 and Fanfiction too! I can’t even begin to capture how much your comments have made me smile. 

This isn’t a permanent logging off! I just won’t have time to analyze/gush/criticize the show or the cast in lengthy posts anymore, or answer Asks. I do still want to write though! I will still share writing on here, AO3 and Fanfiction when or if I get to write lol. To anyone who sent me prompts, I have all of them saved and have ideas for a couple of them as well. I’m saving my writing for when I need time to de-stress and do something I enjoy as a creative release. I also still have a trove of ideas for WestAllen fics that I do want to work on. Who knows how I’ll be able to manage my time, but I know that the drive to write is still there and I will always have it and want to share, as long as people are willing to read. 

You can still follow me on my fandom Twitter though! I tend to publish there now since it’s short and simple, although it’s mostly my visceral reactions to news and things I hear about lol. I suspect his wife said he could cheat as long as he didn’t embarrass her. Everyone knew he’d been with insta models, so I’m side eyeing the ppl acting like CP ruined a happy marriage. His wife got with him by being the other woman, so she was scared he’d leave her for CP bcs CP is was successful. None of this excuses CP, but I think it’s either that or they were separated like he claims. I think CP thought they were just hooking up and he was trying to date her

Even if he wasn’t married, he's a horrible human being. The decision to be in any proximity to him is wrong in my opinion, romantic or not.

I'll just say this. Why is CP being blamed. It takes two. No one is holding him hostage. It's on him choosing to be away this much from his kids. And in terms of the prev. rl w/ the mother, I don't hold her innocent either. That IG vid was straight up performative. Why turn on your camera to air out alleged private shit then hit post only to delete after. IF she is involved w/ him I am disappointed bc its messy and she can do better but tbh I think she has low self worth in regards to dating.

Oh he’s definitely trash if this is true. I never believed he wasn’t. As for the wife, I think her reaction may have been performative, but I think her pain and anger is justified.

People really want to believe this Black woman is some evil homewrecker because some instagram detectives who admit they have no inside knowledge whatsoever and got all of their ‘proof’ reading social media tea leaves said so, huh? Holy hell. Why would you choose to believe that?

Well I have my reasons for believing there could be truth to the rumors based on things from the people involved themselves, things that I personally can’t shake and that really point to a relationship. Everyone is free to believe what they choose to.
