After the stress of writing my first draft, somehow the editing still feels a bit daunting. I still have a few unfinished sentences I need to figure out as well as my conclusion… but even if it feels different, the worst is really over 🌸

Writing my thesis I feel like I’m my own parent trying to wrangle their child into doing their homework without yelling at them

like "how about we put on some nice music? does this not help you focus usually?" "look at this video, this person is also stuyding! Let's try to study along with them maybe!" "If I give you a sticker will you please please just sit down and write please"

Halfway done with my first draft… Noticing an unfortunate tendency with my longer essays where I just start piling on more examples instead of going more in depth - so I will probably slim down the material I have already written quite a bit. Maybe I‘ll put the extraneous stuff into footnotes and pad my thesis this way lol

All the sitting is catching up to me but my back pain is all the more motivation to finish my first draft quickly 🥴

A little over a month left to finish my BA thesis, so in reality, a few weeks to get a decent product to send to my friends to read over… I am determined to actually have a first draft at the end of the week (utopian) because I really want some space to breathe before the next semester sweeps me up again.

Roughly one third written - I‘m testing if „study with me“ videos help me stay productive long term to meet my goal 😮‍💨
