A Rhyme of Lore, spoken by Gandalf as he and Pippin rode towards Minas Tirith.
It tells the story of the Númenoreans, led by Elendil, who escaped the destruction of Númenor. The rhyme was preserved by the Dúnedain, and may have comprised of more lines than those that Pippin heard.
The Lord of the Rings, The Two Towers, Book Three, Chapter XI: “The Palantír”
Created for Day Five of #numenorweek: for the theme of Elendil.

I really like your embroidered silmarillion sigils, and want to try to make some of my own! If you don’t mind me asking, do you have any tips? What part do you usually embroider first and how do you make them so symmetrical? Also, what base fabric do you usually use?
I draw and then stitch the outline first and then go from the center outward colouring.
Thin Fabric scraps where I can draw on easily.
Have a good day and good luck.

Reminding myself that Vangelis’s soundtrack to 1492: Conquest of Paradise is basically The Akallabêth OST.
(Just...skip the actual movie.)
I can’t include all 12 tracks here (gee, thanks, Tumblr) but all of them are at the YouTube link.

You know, Tolkien just said elves have leaf-shaped ears. He didn’t see what kind of leaf.
I need a Fëanor with one of these
