And then he contently takes a big slurp off his Space Icee knowing he has solved yet another problem. 'Murica!

John Crichton affecting an aristocratic British accent while undercover as a Peacekeeper officer (despite the fact that none of the the Peacekeepers he'd met had that accent) further cements him as science fiction's greatest Florida Man.

He seriously thought "What would an officer in a colonialist military force sound like?", decided "mid 19th century British" was the correct answer, didn't consult anyone (based on the reactions of his shipmates), and went all in on it. Minimal thought, maximum dedication.

When European Naturalists in the 18th Century started hearing claims about a venomous, egg-laying mammal with the bill of a duck and the tail of a beaver living in Eastern Australia, they all cried hoax.

At a private university in Pennsylvania (Drexel University) pro-pals are demanding (among other things):

60% pay cut for the University president with the proceeds going to "rebuild palestine"

The "termination" of Hillel and Chabad chapters on campus (their words, not mine)

The "termination" of Professor Henri Israeli (Professor of Creative Writing, English and Philosophy Dept who was recently appointed as the director for their new Jewish Studies program)

And while no news outlet has it listed directly as a demand of theirs, I would assume also the closure of the Jewish Studies program?

Do you intend for people (even just one person other than yourself) to see posts from your "private account"? If not, you can just select the option to post privately. The post will only ever be visible to you.

Or you could make a side blog that acts as your "private account". The only downside is that you can't "like" from a private account so far as I know. You can private message from a sideblog, if memory serves.

when i was on twitter i kept all my regular posts on a private account and my one public account was exclusively for posting art

i wanted to have that setup here too but from what i know private accounts aren't a thing. figured it was fine since barely anyone followed me and my posts didn't exactly blow up or anything

Doing their own research = Getting all the new talking points (regurgitated Protocols of the Elders of Zion) and "news" from obvious and discredited propaganda arms (Electronic Intifada, Al Jazeera) or just some unverified stranger (they'll refer to this person as a "journalist" or "organizer") on a telegram channel.

i think it's pretty concerning that the Free Palestine movement in the US, while well-intentioned, has completely adopted radically right-wing strategies.

"they're trying to keep this quiet/they control the government, media" as if this conspiracy hasn't been the main conservative talking point for the past decade
