A letter to spring

I wrote a letter to you

It was spring when I first saw you,

You had a cherry-blossom smile

And I wished I could die.

It was the first time when I saw you but saw her,

And then I saw you fall in love with her.

I wish I could say that I was fine with that,

I just didn't want you out of my head.

Then one day you said that she broke your heart,

I remember how tight you held me that night.

"I just don't want to live" you said.

Heartbroken,you cried.

I still thought that you would love me one day,

That in some way I'll make you stay.

But I lived in delusion,

And I'll do it all over again.

Now,you have all you suitcases packed,

You'll be gone soon and I won't know where you are.

It rips my heart to see you go,

But I know I have to let you go.

Years later, I still think of you.

Our last conversation,when you said you loved me too.

But love,why was it never enough?

Because love can never be enough.

I wrote a letter to you,

When it was spring and I saw you.

You had a cherry-blossom smile,

But now when I think of you, I too smile.

I tend to forget myself everytime I feel like I have found me. The thought is enough depressing and it is more depressing to actually feel it. But isn't that something a lot of us go through? I don't know what will I gain by writing this. May be someone will read this and will get assured there is someone else who's similar to me. Because right now I desperately want to feel that too. Are you feeling like that too?
