Winter Light
A short journey under a frosty sun, over and around its lightly dyed nurtured shadows, to the lakeside scenery painted by a weary hand

Garden Treasure Quest
A stroll through an unfamiliar garden presented a visiting photographer with a pleasant surprise in the shape of an aged gazebo, wrapped in mist, perfectly embodying the faded mysteries of the gone by era.

Twilight, Stillness of the Soul
The realm of light, of seeing-is-believing fame, is fading to the awe of night.
The ever imposing ranges will dissolve into darkness. At times, the perceived might goes with the light.
It’s the other-worldly message of fleeting existence, only for those fluent in silence.

Stepping Into a Conceptual World
A wall in New Zealand’s city of New Plymouth is enhanced by a mural called ‘Waterway’, depicting the local Mt Taranaki volcano within an idyllic fantasy scene.

Summer Guide to the Mackenzie Country
The largest intermontane basin in New Zealand is renowned for its unique colour displays. The desert-like land dried by the sun and wind, is in strong contrast to the hues of the waters descending from the glaciers.

A Golden Light is the New Beginning
Cruising, literally, into this year’s last sunset, full of hope and expectations. It will bring a fresh mindset and open locked doors.

Pop Garden
It’s amazing how much magic you can make with seemingly very little.  The installation ‘Pop Garden’, dubbed ‘multimedia and multi-sensorial experience is inspired by the world of Pop Art and Andy Warhol's work 'Flowers'.
It’s the place of beaming colours, fleeting reflections and exaggerated distortions, in short, one room Emerald City with the added benefit of lingering music.
The photographer caught his little subject immersed in the world of augmented reality.

Nature’s Epic Tale, the Road to Aoraki This is no ordinary road. It meanders up and down the slopes of Mackenzie Country, drawing a line across the dreamland filled with massifs which don’t acknowledge man-made limitations.
Cast by divine hands, the infinite grace of gigantic proportions is illuminated by the gentle, seductive feminine light and blanketed by eternally youthful clouds. The symphony of life in front of me reveals only what it wants, remaining a spiritual terra incognita until the end of time. Forever a pin-up of the landscape aficionados, a certified classic, this vista has unlimited power of committing you to the present moment regardless of where you are and make you dream without closing your eyes. For a man who breathes his life sustaining energy through his images it is a lifetime of inspiration in a single day. Stay where you are majestic mountains, here I come.

It is encouraging to see a specialized magazine, dedicated to a genre as popular as photography currently is, aiming for the higher good in the era of a worldwide trend towards commercialization of any type of media. I feel privileged to be part of the effort, in the edition dedicated to architecture.
Congratulations to NZPhotographer Magazine and all involved for another great issue, and for more than 1.3 million online views behind it, as a big tick of approval.
