We’re on a roll today besties! (Ignoring the fact I started this drawing about a month and a half ago and it took me until now to want to finish it 🫣).

I’m a bit early for pride stuff, so I’ll hopefully do another pride drawing with my OCs when June hits. Until then, here’s Cassie and Seymour for Pride together!

I need to say also, I originally gave Cassie a shirt with bi stripes and a fuchsia skirt, and then I came back to it another day and hated it, so instead we went with dinosaurs :)

Cassie has the bi flag and Seymour has the pan flag and the demisexual flag. Then, of course, they’re both holding the trans flag.

I love them and am really glad I finally was able to finish this drawing, because I’ve been wanting to finish it for a while but just have been struggling with motivation (until the last one I posted- thank goodness).

Hey guys! I had this idea for a drawing the other day of Cassie and Michael going to a game grumps live show together and dressing up, and so I drew it, and I actually drew it digitally which makes me really happy because I’ve been having digital art block since the new year started! Yay!

Here’s the drawing! Cassidy’s outfit is inspired very very very heavily by the Danny Sexbang costume and Michael’s is pretty much one for one Arin’s one costume for Starbomb that he has on the Player Select album cover!

I haven’t drawn Cassie with anyone other than Seymour since I started drawing her, but I love the idea of her doing fun stuff with Michael!

This would be when they’re adults, methinks.

Hey, friends! We’ve got a bit of a different one this time! This is my first of 8 bmc OCs that I have with my good friend, Moth (they don’t have tumblr unfortunately, or I’d tag them).

Also, in their canon, they’re much younger than how I’m drawing them, because I wanna draw their more adult designs, so the character sheets are more like their teenage or adult versions of themselves.

If you’d like to learn more of the lore surrounding these characters, starting with Marcus, this is a good post to learn with.

I’m already in the process of drawing his sister, Ruby, and I’m hoping to do this with all of the kids! It may take longer for the Mellinger kids to have character sheets as we sort of explore the kids’ identities and styles, but I’d like to do this with all of them.

This is Abbie! She’s one of my older OCs, not quite as old as Brianna and Leighanne, but still up there! I aged her up to be a young adult with everyone else instead of a child, but to compromise, she’s the youngest so far.

Her first alt outfit is because she’s going to school to be a lawyer!

I wanted to draw something to establish the fact that Brianna (left) does canonically smoke, specifically cigarettes. I wasn’t sure what to do to establish it, so I eventually decided on depression hours.

Brianna is having a really bad day and is taking a smoke break, Leighanne (right) is just trying to comfort her.

HEYO!!! For anyone that has been enjoying Cassidy and Seymour, I have more for you!

So I really enjoyed drawing this and really popped off while doing it in my opinion and am obsessed with literally every part of it, but especially the background because I never draw backgrounds???

I’m gonna add bonus stuff from this drawing under the cut, but seriously, this is one of my favorite things I’ve ever drawn, and I enjoyed every part of the process.

So, the first thing I want to show off is the background I drew, because first off, this drawing wasn’t even supposed to have a background. I had no intention going into it to give it a background, and then it got to what Cassidy was sitting on, and suddenly I had a bathroom.

This is assuming the two would be young adults and living together, either in or after college, so they have the two toothbrushes by the sink, and the picture on the wall is meant to be the program from A Midsummer Nightmare About Zombies, because I imagine they’d keep it.

Next I’m gonna share the sketch, lineart, and flats, to help show you my process!

I was incredibly happy with the sketch. I wanted to make it really tender and sweet, because this is Stagedorks, and I wanted to make them seem like they were adults here, which I think I succeeded at. I also wanted to make this seem like it was routine by this point, so rather than making Cass seem squeamish (my original plan), I decided to make her more comforted by the fact that Seymour is helping her.

I’m so happy with the drawing, and the story I’m telling with it, and I’m so excited to share.

Another character sheet! This time being Brianna’s best friend in the world, Leighanne, aka, Leah. They’re both from the same group of my first OCs, and like Brianna, she’s come a long way. Her first name being Leighanne is actually a new development. Leah was always supposed to be a nickname, but I never knew what to make her real name. It kind of just hit me when it was her turn for a character sheet.

Thankfully she’s my only character who’s main color is yellow. I love it so much, but it’s kind of a struggle for me haha.
