This is the only picture of my room I could get without bursting into tears. August 1st 2023 me and my family lost everything but thankfully not our lives in a house fire . As of October 27th 2024 we've been hopping from hotel to hotel and with two of my siblings being autistic things have been tough. Me and my mom have been living on our checks and money we can scrape up still as it gets colder times are getting extremely rough. It's come to the point where we have to weigh the options of buying food or a night in a hotel.

I recently quit my job because my grades are slipping and I cannot get enough hours and as a senior in highschool I can't even do the things I want too like hang out with friends go to parties etc, and it's a blessing I could even afford to go to my last homecoming this year. So I wanted to come here and let everyone know I'm doing emergency commissions and accepting donations.

what you were trying to do was make a nice cake for your boyfriend since it was his birthday. problem was, you had no baking skills whatsoever. so now you were bringing your knees to your chest as you wallowed in self-pity.

you dragged your pointer finger across the floor-covered floor as you brainstormed ways to 1.) clean this large ass mess and 2.) figure out a new gift since there was no way in hell you could bake.

your plans were thwarted however when you heard the front door opening.

he paused as he gazed at you, then at the disheveled kitchen, then back to you as he pieced everything together.

“were you trying to bake me a cake?” he asked making his way towards you.

you threw your hands down and sighed. damn him and his intelligence. you slowly nodded your head and pouted.

“i just wanted to do something nice since it’s your birthday but i forgot i can’t bake for shit so here we are now in our flour-covered kitchen and i’m a failure i can’t do anything righ-“

you were cut off by him attaching your lips to his. all your anxieties slowly melted away as you two were practically making out.

before anything could get out of hand, he backed away and hugged you.

“regardless of your “shit” baking skills, i’m happy you even thought about doing this for me,” he stated.

“i love you too, now how about we clean this up?” he spoke, slowly pulling out of the hug.
