Арриго Минерби ( 10 февраля 1881 , Феррара — 9 мая 1960 , Падуя ) — итальянский скульптор . Родился 10 февраля 1881 года в еврейской семье в Ферраре , под руководством скульптора Луиджи Леньяни посещал курсы декоративно-прикладного искусства в Ферраре в школе Доссо Досси . Arrigo Minerbi (February 10, 1881, Ferrara - May 9, 1960, Padua) was an Italian sculptor. Born on 10 February 1881 into a Jewish family in Ferrara, under the guidance of the sculptor Luigi Legnani he attended arts and crafts courses in Ferrara at the Dosso Dossi school. He worked as a ceramist, decorator, trainer and plasterer in Ferrara, in Florence (where he perfected his skills at the Academy of Fine Arts) and in Genoa (from this period the giant iron and concrete Neptune of 1910 in Monterosso should be remembered).

At the age of 35, he moved to Milan, where in 1919 he staged an exhibition of his work for critics and the public at the Pesaro Gallery. This exhibition also toured successfully until 1920. Regionale di Ferrara, returning to Milan in 1922 before traveling to the Primaverile Fiorentina, and finally being invited to the Venice Biennale, where he exhibited his silver group The Last Supper (now in Oslo Cathedral). On 14 June 1925, in the Parco delle Rimembranze in Bondeno, he presented his Madre as a monument to those killed in the First World War. He became an honorary citizen of Bondeno, although this was revoked due to fascist racial laws and was only re-granted in 2004. After World War II, Minerbi worked mainly for Catholic churches and cemeteries (in Milan, Rome, Rapallo, Piacenza, Padua, Copparo).

The latest arrivals books on my Chernobyl bookshelf

1. G. Kopchinsky, N. Steinberg "Chernobyl: about the past, present and future", 2021

Abstract: The authors are nuclear physicists with extensive experience in the operation of nuclear power plants, management of nuclear energy and regulation of its safety. The book highlights the true role of the Chernobyl NPP personnel in the occurrence of the 1986 accident and the elimination of its consequences, analyzes the causes of the accident and concludes about the lessons to be learned from it.

A very good book. The real causes of the accident are clearly and uncompromisingly analyzed, as well as the authors' opinion on the "official version" of what happened, the report of the Soviet Union at the IAEA meeting in August 1986. Also, big part of the book is devoted to the technical analysis of the RBMK reactor, its features and disadvantages.

I personally really like to read stuff like this.

2. L.A. Ilyin "Realities and myths of Chernobyl", 1994

Abstract: The author of the book is Professor L.A. Ilyin, academician of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences, member of the Main Committee of the International Commission on Radiation Protection. He was directly involved in the liquidation of the Chernobyl accident, being there in the most difficult period after the disaster and was one of the scientific supervisors of work to mitigate its biomedical consequences.

A pretty voluminous book, almost 500 pages in small print, a lot of details, precisely from the medical point of view of the impact of radiation on the human body, as well as criticism of the Soviet government in the field of public health protection and the organization of scientific and practical activities of relevant departments in this area, which even at the time of publication of the books was not brought into proper condition.

3. E.A. Kozlova "The world of the sculptor Nikolai Selivanov", 2004

The third book, which I will tell you about today, does not relate directly to the topic of the Chernobyl accident, but it is quite rare and, in my opinion, interesting to study

Abstract: The book dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the birth of the Honored Artist of Russia, sculptor Nikolai Alexandrovich Selivanov, presents with maximum completeness all of his works created over a more than 50-year career, starting from 1952 to 2004. Selivanov is the author of a unique series of portraits and compositions about the great Russian poet Sergei Yesenin and his entourage, portraits of academics, scientists, creators of the atomic fleet, sailors, war heroes, Chernobyl victims, writers and poets, as well as his many friends.

As follows from the description, Selivanov (as well as his son), is the author of all busts and sculptures associated with Valery Legasov.

Костёл Святого Георгия, или призраки в церкви.

Church of St. George, or ghosts in the church.

Церковь Святого Георгия (Kostel sv. Jiří) - расположена в Чехии, в деревушке Лукова на границе Карловарского и Пльзенского краев. Церковь была построена в 1352 году и до шестидесятых годов прошлого века была обычной деревенской церковью, но в 1968 году потолок церкви обвалился прямо во время похорон и местные жители посчитали, что восстанавливать церковь - слишком дорогое удовольствие.

В последующие годы вдобавок к постоянно увеличивающимся разрушениям было украдено все движимое имущество храма, включая картины, религиозные атрибуты, скульптуры, башенные часы и даже колокол. Остальное подверглось вандализму. Не так давно с целью сохранения церкви в качестве культурного памятника у Якуба Хадравы, студента скульптурного факультета Университета Западной Богемии, возникла идея: он населил заброшенную церковь сваянными им же призраками в 2012 году. Так появились 32 уникальные скульптуры из ткани, пропитанной гипсом.Фигуры изображают призраков судетских немцев, живших в деревне во времена Второй мировой войны и каждое воскресенье приходивших в этот костел. ��той работой Хадрава хочет показать миру, что у этого места есть история, которая имеет большое влияние на людей.

Church of St. George (Kostel sv. Jiří) - located in the Czech Republic, in the village of Lukova on the border of Karlovy Vary and Pilsen regions. The church was built in 1352 and until the sixties of the last century was an ordinary village church, but in 1968 the ceiling of the church collapsed during a funeral and local residents felt that restoring the church was too expensive.

In the following years, in addition to the ever-increasing destruction, all the movable property of the temple was stolen, including paintings, religious paraphernalia, sculptures, a tower clock and even a bell. The rest was vandalized. Not long ago, in order to preserve the church as a cultural monument, Jakub Hadrava, a student at the Faculty of Sculpture at the University of West Bohemia, came up with an idea: he populated the abandoned church with ghosts he sculpted in 2012.This is how 32 unique sculptures made of fabric impregnated with plaster appeared. The figures depict the ghosts of the Sudeten Germans who lived in the village during the Second World War and came to this church every Sunday. With this work, Khadrawa wants to show the world that this place has a history that has a great impact on people.

Арт-объект "Потерянная книга". Литейный пр. 55, во дворе Типографии № 3.

В памятнике соединены две идеи. В 1863 году недалеко от этого места поэт и издатель Николай Некрасов потерял рукопись романа Чернышевского "Что делать?".

Вторая связана с тем, что книга постепенно заменяется электронными устройствами.

Создателем "Потерянной книги" стала скульптор Вероника Бернард.

Знали бы вы как я сейчас материлась. Приехала домой после врача, уставшая, в надежде помыть таки голову, ибо ванна сохла сутки, а вчера мне было не до этого. А моя маман, чтобы при заливке ванны акрил не выливался в канализацию сделала пробку из фольги, смазала ее жирным кремом и заткнула слив. Так вот. Я полтора часа вытаскивала эту @#%₽ пробку, чтобы наконец-таки помыться. Потому что слой акрила мама положила на совесть и канцелярский нож, которым, как она полагала, я должна была вырезать эту пробку его не брал. В итоге, после нескольких обломанных лезвий и моих матов пришлось взять молоток и отвёртку и как заправский скульптор выдалбливать себе слив в ванной. Вечер прошел что надо, конечно😂😂😂
