はじめまして。ユーリ・ペトロフと申します。私の職業を聞いても、理解出来ない子供たちも多くいることでしょう。裁判官とは、司法権を行使し裁判を行うのがお仕事です。もうひとつのヒーロー管理官とは、文字通り、ヒーローの管理をするお仕事になります。具体的には、事件や事故の現場から出動要請を受け、本当にヒーローの出動が必要かどうかを見極めたり、ヒーローが出動した際に起こした諸問題に対処したり、ヒーローに関する様々な決定を下しています。私が、間違った判断を下したり、判断するタイミングが遅れてしまうと、事件や災害の被害はどんどん大きくなり、被害者も増えていくので、実に重要な役目だと思っています。

It's clear it's a pun on words because staphylococcus is written as ブドウ球菌, with ブドウ (grape) being the commonality. So even though Yuri is educating the kids on glucose, I added grape syrup to keep the pun intact, even though they are the same word).

1. Please tell us what's charming about "TIGER & BUNNY" and how the game is uniquely charming.

1. もちろんヒーローたちの活躍や会話のテンポも魅力的ですが、みんな非常に人間的で親しみが持てるキャラクターだというところが大きいと思います。ゲームは、ひとつの視点ではなく、それぞれの立場で物事を見られるので、そこがアニメと違う部分かもしれません。
ユーリも仕事をしています（笑）。あまりお目にかける事は多くないので、お忘れなきようお願いします。司法局の人間です。

初めてルナティックを見た時はその異質さに驚きました。他のヒーローたちと比べて全く系統が違うという印象です。最初は怖かったです（笑）、特に目が。しかしその生い立ちやユーリの人物像を知るにつれ、この姿がピッタリだと思うようになりました。顔の手形については桂先生が触れられるかと思いますが、あの怒りとも妖しさとも哀しみとも取れる表情は秀逸だと思います。全体に施されたラインの模様も気に入っています。鋭角的なデザインが好きなので。デザインとは関係ないですが、スーツの性能はやはり手作りという感じですね（笑）。斎藤さんが作ってくれたらあんなことにはならなかったのになぁと個人的にはちょっと残念に思います。まぁ、そこは実力でカバー。

僕にとってはヒーローたちに負けない、まぎれもない "ヒーロー”です。

When I saw Lunatic for the first time, I was surprised at the different quality (of his design). I had the impression that his lineage was completely different compared to the other heroes. I was scared at first (laughs), especially of the eyes. However, as I learned about Yuri's upbringing and personality, I grew to think that his appearance was perfect. Katsura-Sensei added the handprint of his face (to his mask), which is excellent because I think that the expressions (Lunatic's) can be taken as angry, mysterious and sad. I also like the pattern of the lines applied to the whole because I like sharp design. While it has nothing to do with the design (concepts), the performance of the suit is still handmade (laughs). Personally, I'm a little disappointed that Mr. Saito had not made it, but his (Lunatic's) abilities covered up for it.

For me, he's unmistakably a "hero" who can't lose to the heroes.

ネクタイは、虎徹のネクタイと同じく真ん中にストライプを入れ、それをユーリの場合は、カクカクにしたデザインです。

白と黒に、中央が自身の立ち位置を示すグレーにしていて、前回より、彼のキャラクター性を表したつもりです。

The necktie is the same as Kotetsu's tie, with a stripe in the middle. In Yuri's case, it is a jagged design. It's white and black with the centre grey to indicate his stance, shown from his character in the previous installment (S1).

Colours Used (for Yuri's Design)

ミドルクールグレイ - Middle Cool Grey

デープクールグレイ - Deep Cool Grey

ホワイト (ネクタイ右半分の色) - White (right half of necktie)

クールグレイ（ネクタイ中央の色） - Cool Grey (middle of necktie)

ブラック (髪止め・リボン・クツのヒール ネクタイ左半分の色) - Black (hair stoppers - his barrettes, ribbon, shoe heels, left half of necktie)

ライトスモークグリーン - Light smoke green (his hair)

ユーリは、「The Rising」では、新規デザインがなかったので、自分も楽しみでした。とはいえ職業柄、スーツ姿には変わりないので、遊べるところが少ないのですが、探は、ゲーム「ASTRAL CHAIN』で探いた四角いデザインを取り入れて、探えて、ボタンも四角くしています。

I was looking forward to the "The Rising" because there was no new design for Yuri. However, because of his occupation, he doesn't change his suit, so there were few places to play. So I incorporated the square design used in the game "ASTRAL CHAIN", and also used it for his buttons.

Yuri Draft:

TN: There is another colour chart with a tie in the colours from the previous season, but I haven't included it.

ユーリのネクタイ。ネクタイだけ、前TVシリーズのカラーリングにしてみましたが、結局やめました。

Katsura says he originally coloured the tie in the same colours as S1 but decided to stop.

ーご自身が演じられているキャラクター以外で気になる存在はいますか？

-Is there anything you are interested in other than the character you are playing?

寿 私はユーリが気になっていて、彼が好きです。『T&B2』では物語的にもユーリが熱い展開だったので、目が離せませんでした。先ほどユーリのデザイン画を見させていただいたのですが、改めてカバンやネクタイひとつとっても彼の小道具はすごくオシャレだなと思いました。あと、アニメで髪が逆立っているシーンもすごく幻想的で。

Kotobuki: I'm interested in Yuri, and I like him. In "T&B2", Yuri's story has passionate development, and I couldn't take my eyes off it. I saw the drawings of Yuri's design, and thought the accessories of his bag and tie were very fashionable. Also, the scene in the anime, where his hair is standing on end is so fantastic.

桂 ユーリの展開は衝撃的だよね。

僕もプロットの段階から、ルナティックのクライマックスは「嘘だ！もったいない！やめてよ」と何回も言った記憶があります。でも彼についてははっきりと言及されているわけじゃないから、まだどうなったかはわからないと思います（笑）。千葉さんは誰が気になりました？

Katsura: Yuri's development is shocking, isn't it?

During the plot stages, I remember saying: "It's a lie! What a waste! Stop it!" many times about Lunatic's ending (climax). But it's not clearly mentioned, so I don't think I understand what happened yet (laughs).

Mr. Chiba, who are you interested in?

千葉 僕もキャラクターではないのですが、ルナティックのボウガンが良いなと。必殺技で「炎」は定番だと思うんですけど、その炎をボウガンで撃ち出すというアイデアが画期的でめちゃくちゃカッコいいなと思いました。

Chiba: I'm not interested in characters either (TN: Morita says earlier that he's not interested in characters), but Lunatic's bowgun is good. I think "flames" are standard special moves, but the idea of shooting flames with a bow gun was ground-breaking and incredibly cool.

TN: What follows is easily the greatest thing about this interview and it doesn't even have any Yuri/Luna content! 😭🤣

意外と評判が良い？ 男性キャラの「おしり」

Is it good that the male characters "butts'" are surprisingly popular?

島崎 僕は自分の役で申し訳ないんですけど、トーマスのキュッとした「おしり」がたまりません！新ヒーローの中でエース的存在のトーマスが、ピチッとしたスーツを着ているところに痺れたんです。その分、気絶した時には残念な姿に映りましたが（笑）、内またのラインとかが顕著に出ていて、「さすが桂先生のおしり」だと思いました。

Shimazaki: I'm sorry to say this since it's my role, but Thomas' tight "butt" is irresistible! I was numb to the fact that Thomas, who is an ace among the new heroes, was wearing a tight suit. I'm late in the game for Taibani merch even if I originally watched S1 back when it aired (around 2011/2012). It was during a time when I had stopped collecting anything animanga related and was primarily purging my existing collectibles. Obviously Yuri (who was my fave even back then), has made me start collecting shit again.

The 2022 reprints of the Sakakibara manga along with the Sakakibara artbook and Limited Edition original printing of the Vol 5 tankoubon featuring Luna/Yuri arrived today. They were supposed to be a Christmas present from my hubs.

I also previously acquired a set of the Rascal x Taibani acrylic mascots because this set came with 2 Rascal Lunas. One for my keys and one to keep mint and sealed. I stuck one of these Bunny's(?) on my spare keys to my Mom's place, because there were 3 in this lot.

Finally the Lunatic S.H. Figuarts and the DXF Figure 5 who are currently displayed with some of my older Shaka gashapons I kept and the Anime Heroes release.

I'm currently waiting on shipments for a bunch of other stuff I've ordered like 2 of those adorable TB2 mochi mochi plushes, and the Luna and Yuri plushies released during the rising as well as a bunch of stuff from the Summer Resort collab, TB2 Museum fine art board, but I'll post them once I receive them. This is all I currently have onhand.

MY CABBAGES.

There's a hilarious theory on Japanese Twitter that Yuri's alive and selling cabbages in Karuizawa due to the Summer Heroes Collab.

Why Cabbages??

Well according to the Stamp Rally, Yuri's location is the Karuizawa City Garden (軽井沢発地市庭), where the Karuizawa Direct Sales Office (軽井沢直売所) is located, known for selling fresh and processed agricultural produce such as cabbage and lettuce.

It seems like the kind of place a civil servant would work at.

So theories emerged about Yuri's body (after his end in TaiBani 2) drifting in the water to Karuizawa, where he's recuperated and ended up selling cabbage 😂🤣🥬 (Since the Summer Resort Heroes Collab took place from August to October 2023 and TaiBani 2 ended Fall 2022).

I couldn't resist making these for Japanese Twitter, based on the Cabbage Seller from Avatar the Last Airbender.

A Japanese fan was able to view the upcoming Wild Tiger Premium statue in-person (with the broken Lunatic mask) and took some detailed shots.

Many of us Yuri fans have wondered how he stores his hair in his Lunatic mask since he clearly doesn't pin it up. In fact sometimes he wears it down. The new upcoming Wild Tiger statue has a detailed view of his broken mask. There is clearly a compartment in the back for it!!🤯

The Beginning: Luna Interludes - Post Credit Scene

The Luna Interludes from The Beginning Novelization are so great! You gain so much insight from getting to read in his POV. I got such a kick out of the author (高橋悠也 Takahashi Yuuya) writing out Luna's post credit scene in his last interlude 🤣

Lmao it's so over-the-top and dramatic, it's as if Luna's attempting to hide that he's literally exposed standing unmasked in his Lunatic suit on top of a building (insert RED MOON) through the use of poignant prose (Dramatic Pose With Funny Hand)

私は宵闇の中、ゴシック調の建物の屋根の天辺に立っていた。

空はまるでこの街の終末を憂うかのように赤く染まり、風が我が意志を歓迎、あるいは怖するかのように吹き荒れ、後ろで一つに結んだ私の長い髪をなびかせている。

So I meant to throw this screenshot in my earlier shitpost dump, but I forgor. I guess you can argue it's more a cute piece of trivia from the Cour2 Watch Parties than a shitpost...

「タルタルソース」 - Tartar Sauce

In watch Party Ep 20, Hirata Hiroaki (Kotetsu's seiyuu), and Morita Masakazu (Bunny's seiyuu), have a discussion about the Underworld's Tartarus (from Greek Mythology), because Luna tells Kotetsu and Bunny they're headed there for trying to help the robbers who killed Origa.

Tartarus is the region of the Underworld where the most evil go to suffer and is also used as a prison for the Titans.

Anyway, Hirata pulls out sheets of written facts about Tartarus and reads them to the audience. Morita gets a kick out of watching Hirata get through the terms, and Hirata is rather pleased with himself for learning something new.

In Watch Party 24, Yusa Kōji (Yuri/Luna's seiyuu aka "Yusatic") 🤣 is their guest. Hirata and Morita bring up the Taibani Cour2 pv. Hirata actually calls his character's appearance in the pv "Yuri", but Yusa corrects him to say "Lunatic". Then Hirata calls Tartarus "Tartar Sauce"!! to which Yusa replies "Tartarus."

Hirata is absolutely adorable in all of these, and is a friggin treasure. Also I love whenever he puts on his reading glasses.

Also in the TaiBani server I belong to, we discussed other inclusions of Greek Mythology (outside of Yuri's mentions of Thanatos and Tartarus - also Themis if you count his character single).

The agencies that represent the heroes other than Jungle and TopMaG are also based on Greek Mythology. (Thank you Saint Seiya for making me such a fan of this topic).

Helios - the god that personifies the Sun

Poseidon - Presides over the sea, storms, earthquakes and horses. Also sometimes governs Atlantis as part of his domain such as in Plato's Timaeus and Critias.

Odysseus - King of Ithaca and hero featured in Homer's Odyssey

Apollo(n) - The Greek god of archery, healing, music (and the arts), light, the Sun, knowledge, herds and flocks, and protection of the young.

Titan - elder gods who ruled the earth before the Olympians over threw them.

Kronos - Ruler of the Titans and Zeus' (ruler of Olympus) father

Hesperides - Nymphs of evening and golden lights of sunset

Ouroboros is actually not a Greek Mythology term. Its an ancient symbol from Egyptian iconography, Greek magic, and alchemy, that represents the eternal cycle of life, death and rebirth.
