Tangle has such good Cool Big Sis energy with Tails . . . like in a lot of ways she has similar drive and energy to Sonic (albeit maybe a little less responsible in some areas since she's new to adventuring and mostly just grew up living a normal life in a normal town), and so in that way it's easy to see how she and Tails could become really fast friends if they were ever given more time to work with each other. But even apart from that, we've already seen how she would look after him, too, because even if she lived in a normal life in a normal town and was never responsible for looking out for anyone else (she and Jewel are the same age I'm pretty sure), she still would if given the opportunity and we actually have that with Tails in canon.
Tumblr media
Like I don't blame the characters for the bad writing in Forces because obviously they have no agency over how they were written, and Tails in particular was just butchered in that game, but . . . well, given that we see Tangle working with Tails and checking in on his emotional state right after the Metal Virus ended and Sonic went MIA, I feel pretty confident in saying that she wouldn't have just let him fuck off into the wilderness if he ever "lost it" during an apocalypse scenario. Like again, the fact that Amy and Knuckles did during Forces is just another example of bad writing in that game, but Amy isn't that much older than Tails and Knuckles is used to being a loner, so I could kind of give it a pass. But Tangle really stepped up here and checked in on Tails and didn't let him just brush her off, and she's just such a Cool Big Sis who, yes, will absolutely help him test fire new rocket launchers with no safety gear and 100% agrees that cookies are an acceptable breakfast, but also genuinely cares about his emotional well-being and will look out for that, too.
Also, they're cool tail buddies. What's not to love?

"suguru, shoko... it's been nice knowing you guys. i always loved you both. please, tell y/n i loved her too, yeah?"
it's a tense moment. after satoru received your social medias, he did some snooping around and found the harsh truth — or so he calls it. comparing himself to what he found did nothing but install a depressing, hallow sadness into his system.
"satoru, get the fuck down from that chair," shoko's having none of it. the moment she glimpsed group-chat's notification she practically teleported to satoru's. her heart dropped, palms got sweaty, throat dry at the thought of satoru ending his life. when she arrived, suguru was already there, weeping for his dear friend's life.
it must've been serious, right? it wasn't.
what came into her vision was a grown, silver-headed man standing on his desk chair. around his neck held one of his ties. now, this is where it got unserious. everything seemed true until shoko's eyes traveled to satoru's neck. his tie was wrapped around it with his very own hand holding the longer piece of the tie.
in short, he's fucking dramatic. suguru doesn't fall far, too. it must be hard on shoko for being the only one with a decent brain... kind of.
"shoko, how can you be so... so mean?! he's dying over there! your own friend!" suguru wipes his tears, furious at his other friend's own indifference to such a sight.
"don't," she begins, walking to satoru's position to kick him off the chair. "don't piss me off."
satoru's now on the floor; laying on his back, body straight, arms clasped on top his stomach. this must signal his final moments. it's peaceful in his mind.
"satoru, i swear to god. get the fuck off that floor." she nudges his body with the front of her shoes, eyes twitching at the foolishness.
it takes a mere minute before satoru's tired of ignoring the obnoxious foot harming his body. so he sits up, hanging his head low.
"i just can't, y'know? it hurts," his voice cracks, radiating sadness throughout the room. his words receive two varying responses.
from suguru: "it's okay, satoru. there are many other fishes in the sea."
from shoko: "this is why you mind your business sometimes."
at shoko's response, he sighs loudly, "it won't kill you to be nice, shoko ieiri."
she sits on his bed, placing a pillow on her lap, fixing her posture, and re-positioning her imaginary glasses. "well then, satoru. tell me what you felt, what you saw, and what you think. you can let it all out to doctor shoko."
suguru stifles a laugh, eyes switching between shoko's new persona and satoru's defeated expression.
"okay, doctor shoko. i felt horrible — no, nauseous. i went through her followings and saw that she follows other men. she knows other men. i'm sick to my stomach," his rant begins. it all started when he decided to go through your profile. this meant snooping through followers, followings, tagged photos, and even comments. you both are in — what the youngsters call it — a talking stage.
there are no labels within this relationship, nor are there any confirmed feelings but this? this betrayal? what do you mean he's not the first man on your profile? this is devilish. all went well until he saw one specific comment that said: "baby you're so sexy ily," to which you replied: "i love you more."
the fiend ( as he calls them ) had the profile photo of a man. when he did the internal math, the unbearable truth was found. he is not the only one you're talking to. he feels hurt.
suguru, too, shares his friend's pain. shoko, however, doesn't. why? it's because the commenter was in fact not a man. had satoru did deeper research, he'd have known that the profile photo is the famous singer the weeknd, and the profile belongs to one of your girls who's a diehard fan of him. well, who's shoko to tell the truth? she'll wait for satoru to come to a realization.

Daddy's Girl.
Step Dad! Leon Kennedy X F! Reader (smut)

Word count: 2.1k
As far as your mother was concerned, your father was worth less than the sum of his parts. He was fleeting idea, a mere concept in both of your lives ever since you could remember. Sure, you remembered a few odd Christmases with a surplus of gifts, all tagged "from Daddy," and a few daddy-daughter dates here and there, but that wasn't enough to make up for his true absence.
It wasn't a surprise when your mom eventually left him, scooping you up with her. Just you and her, and the rare postcard that your sperm-donor decided to ship off once a year or so. It was good enough then when it was just you two finding your way in the world, but it went downhill when your mom found a new boy toy.
Leon.
He wasn't a bad guy, by any means. Wasn't pushy, didn't make you call him "dad" or try to impose his will onto you, but his presence made the absence of your real father that much more obvious. You tried to ignore him for the most part, letting your mom have her little relationship with him to tide her over.
But then they got married. Leon became a more permanent fixture. That was no bueno.
You toughened it out, being cordial with him until you finally hit that mark of independence: sweet, sweet 18! The big one-eight, your ticket to freedom!
Everything was planned out for your big day. Mom and Leon made a cake, presents were given, and all birthday wishes granted, except for one. What you really wanted, was for your dad to show up for just this one day, just this once, to have him and not just his money.
You could never get that lucky, though, and that thought was cemented in your head when you found yourself waiting for him outside of your house. The driveway was empty, not even your mom's car was out there, she still had to head off to work. The world couldn't pause for a birthday girl, it seemed.
Stepping back inside to the house, you slammed the door behind you, practically throwing yourself onto the leather couch in the living room. The tears started faster than you could contain them, and quite honestly, you didn't want to contain them. It was your party, damn it, and you would cry if you wanted to!
"You okay, kid? I heard the door-"
Fuck. Him.
Leon's heavy footsteps made their way down the stairs, leading to his place in front of you. "(Y/N), are you crying?"
You sucked back a breath of air, steadying yourself as much as you could before speaking.
"No, 'm not, just-- go, just leave me alone." You let your face drop into your hands, staining your sleeves with tears.
Leon, being just the right amount of pushy, took a steps next to you a placed his hand on your shoulder. "Can we talk about it? I mean, I probably know what it is, but we could- you could say whatever you need to say." His face cringed a bit at his own words, feeling like he was already fucking this up. "No judgement."
You kept your face covered but obliged, knowing that talking about it, even with Leon, would make you feel a little better.
"My dad isn't here. He's been promising for weeks that he'd show, but he isn't here."
"Oh."
Your step-dad bit his lip trying to figure out how to make you feel better. He knew you weren't exactly fond of him, but he felt a twinge of responsibility.
"Fuck 'em," Leon finally decided on. "He's a liar and you don't need him. So, fuck 'em. Why would you want a deadbeat to bring you down on your special day?"
"Because, he's my dad," you said, like it was the most obvious thing. He was right, of course, but the absence still hurt you.
"No dad would stand up a sweet girl like you on her birthday. You only turn 18 once. A real dad wouldn't miss a birthday this monumental for anything. What's he worth, if he can't keep to his word?"
"I guess nothing." You sat up straighter, trying to make yourself calm down. "D'ya think it's, like, my fault? Why doesn't he want to see me?"
He suddenly got really serious, making his grip on your shoulder firm.
"Not at all. You are a wonderful girl. Your mom thinks so, and so do I. You are brilliantly smart, kind, responsible, sweet, gorgeous-- you're perfect and if that scumbag can't see that, then he's beyond saving."
He loosened his grip, letting his hand fall down to your lap, a bit close to the crotch of your jeans. You didn't look down, trying to convince yourself it was an accident, but he didn't move his hand either.
His other hand came up to your face, holding your cheek and to your own surprise, you leaned into his hand. His big, calloused, confronting hand.
Fuck him.
Something snapped in you when he leaned in for a kiss. God, it was wrong, so wrong, but you were so conflicted. Is this what a father's love really felt like? Hell if you knew, this was close enough in your book.
"Hmph-! Leon..." You pulled away from the kiss, wiping at your mouth roughly to get rid of the salvia strings connecting the both of you. "This is wrong, this isn't okay, my mom-"
"Is not here."
He placed another kiss on your lips, this one chaste and sweet, so unlike the passionate one you shared before.
"Just you and me. I know your dad isn't here, but I am. Let me make up for him, baby." His whispers pricked goosebumps over your body, lighting a fire deep in you. "Let daddy love you. Can I show you?"
His big hand looked nearly comical resting against the small button of your jeans, pawing desperately at them. So, so, so wrong. So fucked up, so not okay, so....
"Yes," you said breathily. "Okay, I-I want you to show me. Just be careful please, 'cause.." you trailed off a bit, feeling the pop of your pants opening.
Leon yanked them down, tossing them away quickly. "Fuck, that's good," he said, pressing his tongue flatly on your mound through your panties.
The fabric slowly grew a wet patch that clung to you, getting sticky. He placed a soft kiss on your clothed clit, then rested his head on your soft thigh.
"Anybody ever touch you here?" he asked, running a finger over your pussy.
You softly shook your head, mumbling out a 'no.'
"Mm, more for daddy, yeah? Gonna make you feel so good," he said, slipping your panties to the slide. His mouth made quick work, tongue already gliding up and down on your clit.
Your face was already twisting up in pleasure, eyebrows knitting together tightly.
"That's cute," he blew cool air over your cunt, keeping his eyes on your face. "You like it? My mouth all over you like this?"
"Mhm, please- don't stop. I wanna feel it again."
You reached your hand out to hold his head, wanting to push it down before bringing your hand back nervously.
"That's right, push my head down if you want. 'M here to make you feel good, so you use me. Just a wet mouth for you today, sweet girl."
You nodded eagerly, running your hands through his blond hair and taking taking firm purchase of a section of it. Your hands greedily pushed his face into your cunt. The feeling of his nose rubbing against your clit while his tongue dug into your tight hole made you feel fuzzy inside.
Leon was so vulgar with his noises; he almost enjoyed it more than you were. Slurp after slurp came from his mouth, accompanied by a moan or two while he tried to get himself off by palming himself through his pants.
The sight of him was just as good as the feeling of him. You had never been taken care of so thoroughly. Leon was opening a whole new world to you, a world where you could be selfish and take, because your daddy would provide, no questions asked.
"Lemme try somethin', yeah, baby?"
He shook your hand off and spat directly on your clit, spreading the fat glob with his fingers. Tight, fast circles were traced over your bud, back and forth. It felt like hypnosis, the way he reeled your body in closer to an orgasm.
"Daddy, please, 'm gonna cum," you said, face flushing of all color. "Your mouth, want your mouth," you shot out quickly, already obsessed with the feeling of his hot mouth tonguing you down.
He obliged, of course. How could he turn his princess down? Leon's lips again wrapped around your clit, sucking on the bud like it gave him life.
You came soon after. You seized and convulsed and the feeling of his eyes taking you in made the waves of pleasure crash down that much harder over your body.
"If he knew what a sweet fucking pussy you had," Leon said, licking a final stripe over it, "he'd never wanna leave."
"Wha--?"
"I said," Leon pulled away from your pussy, lifting his head to your ear, "that even your dad would wanna be tongue deep in your sweet, tight cunt. But it's all mine, isn't it?"
The sound of his belt unbuckling made you wetter, if that was possible, but it also sent a sense of realization through you.
You had your pussy in your step dad's mouth. And you liked it. And now, you would let him fuck you. And you would love it.
Tumblr media
"I know you're a virgin, but fuck, baby, you're so tight." His voice was grumbly and strained while he tried to push into you. "Maybe I need to eat you up a little more," he teased.
"No, I need you inside, wanna feel it now." You let yourself go completely. Here you were, whining like a brat while Leon's fat cock stretched you. The pain with sharp, but immediately worth it. He fit inside perfectly, easily hitting your sensitive spots with a few thrusts.
He hissed, feeling you clamp down on his length. "Shh, come on, gotta get used to it baby. Don't want me to cum too quick, do you?"
"Yes, I do," you whined, desperate to know for certain that you were making him feel good too.
Leon's laugh softly rang in your ears. "No, I wanna make it worth your time. Wish I could take you all night long," he muttered, leaning down to press a kiss to your lips.
He swallowed all of your moans, slipping his tongue into your mouth while he rocked into you. He tried to find a rhythm, but he was too lost in pleasure to be neat about it.
He'd fuck you nice and orderly another day, but for now? He just wanted to feel you gush around him, and feel your cunt get sloppy while he took you.
Your breathless moans caught his attention. He found the angle that made you get oldest and stuck with it, lifting your hips up with his hands so he could piston into your g-spot.
"Oh my god, right there! That feels-- oh my god."
"I know, baby," he said, thumbs digging into your hipbones. "Feels good f'me too. You're so good for daddy."
Your heart, and cunt, pounded the more he spoke. You were close and you knew it, you just needed him to keep talking you through it. "I am?"
"Yes, baby, you're perfect. Daddy's perfect little princess, taking my cock so good." His cock twitched, so he clenched his jaw, refusing to cum before you did. "You know what good girls get to do?"
"Hmph?" Your face was red and hot, mouth hanging open while he continued to fuck into your spongey walls.
"They cum hard on daddy's cock. Can you do that for me? Cum all on me?" He traced his hand over your cheek, letting his thumb land on your bottom lip while he egged you on.
Your body had never reacted faster, immediately creaming on his length. Your hole milked him, each contraction gripping his length and sucking the cum right out of him.
Leon let a shaky breath out before pulling out of you, scooping the mixture of your cum in his fingers. He rubbed it between two fingers for a moment and popped it into his mouth, groaning at the taste.
You came down from your own high and looked over at him, feeling guilt pull at your chest.
"Leon."
"Hm?"
"What about mom? She's gonna freak if she ever finds out. Did we fuck up? What's gonna--"
"Hey," he said, shushing you with his finger over your lips. "She's not gonna find out and she doesn't need to know. I might be married to her, and I get why you're stressed, but what we have is different."
He pulled his finger off of your mouth and pressed a kiss to your forehead cheekily. "You're daddy's girl. That makes you special."

Under the Weather
Pairing: Matt Murdock x Fem!Reader Word Count: 2.2k
Summary: Despite the fact that he's coming down with a cold, Matt refuses to heed your advice on staying inside instead of running around Hell's Kitchen in the freezing autumn rain. In the morning, you're left with an even sicker, more stubborn Devil.
Warnings/tags: 18+; Nothing but fluff and a stubborn, flirty Devil
a/n: Yet another little fluffy fic for Mandy's Sweater Weather Challenge by the lovely @she-likesorchids! Can you tell I had to make sure all my boys got a fic? This one was for the prompt "Let's just stay in bed." Feedback is always appreciated!
Tumblr media
Finally finished with the after dinner cleanup, you washed your hands in the kitchen sink, the pounding of the rain outside the apartment a persistent backdrop to the evening. As you turned off the faucet and reached over to grab the towel from the nearby hook, you heard the bedroom door slide open. Glancing up from your place at the sink as you dried your hands, you spotted Matt exiting the bedroom dressed in his black suit, his black mask on his head but not yet pulled down over his face. You frowned at the sight of him, eyes focusing back on the windows covered in rainfall as the light from the billboard across the street flooded through them, coating the living room in a dark blue.
Focusing back on Matt, you hung up the towel before you began to make your way through the kitchen towards him. You noticed how he'd stopped mid-step on his way to the stairs leading to the roof access as you walked, his head shifting over his shoulder towards you.
"Matt," you said, tone lightly chastising.
It didn’t escape your notice how he'd instantly stiffened at the sound of your voice. You could also tell by the way his shoulders were slightly slumped forward and the faint red tinge visible on his nose that he still felt a bit under the weather. But of course, Matthew being Matthew, he apparently was still planning to go out. You should have known as much.
"Maybe you should stay in tonight," you suggested carefully, eyeing the thin material of his shirt as the rain only continued to dump onto the roof of the apartment. "You know, like we talked about earlier? At dinner?"
He turned fully towards you, straightening his back as his sightless gaze landed on your chest. His eyes narrowed a bit and you knew he was about to pretend the big bad Devil wasn't sick, but the faint sniffle from his stuffed up nose ruined whatever effect he thought he was about to have on you.
“I’m fine, sweetheart," he told you.
His voice was a little distorted because of the congestion and you scoffed immediately. Crossing your arms over your chest, you quirked a brow at him.
"You're sick, Matt," you pointed out. "You need rest. You said yourself earlier that nothing was going on tonight in Hell’s Kitchen. So stay in and take care of yourself. You'll be no help to anyone in the city if something actually happens and you're even sicker."
Matt shook his head at you, that stubborn expression still on his face. Of course he wasn't going to listen. He was going to ignore what he needed to do for himself for the sake of the people of Hell’s Kitchen, and as much as you loved and admired that about him, he really needed to learn one of these days that he was still only human. He needed to take care of himself.
But getting that through his head was damn near impossible.
"I don't get sick," he countered, voice still noticeably off. "I’m completely fine, sweetheart. I'm just going out for a bit to keep an eye on things. You don't need to wait up for me."
“Matt, it’s barely above freezing outside right now!” you exclaimed, throwing a hand towards the living room window. “And it’s raining . Ten degrees less and that would be snow right now! What you're wearing isn't even remotely warm. You’re going to make yourself incredibly sick if you go running around rooftops tonight dressed in that !”
Matt’s lips drew into a devilish smirk, a smug expression overtaking his features. The look might have had the desired effect on you if he hadn’t sniffled loudly yet again, his red nose scrunching up as he did.
“You like this suit,” he countered.
“No,” you said, holding up a hand as you corrected him. “I like how you look in this suit, Matt. I absolutely hate how little protection it offers for knives, baseball bats, and cold weather. There’s a massive difference.”
“I’ll be just fine,” he assured you.
Matt reached a hand up, pulling his mask down until it covered his face, leaving only his lips and chin visible. The gesture was meant to end the conversation, you were aware of that. Sighing in exasperation, you rolled your eyes at him. You knew damn well he was going to be miserable come morning.
“We all know you’re just going to do what you want anyway,” you grumbled, crossing the rest of the way over towards him. “Just be careful, okay? I don’t need you bleeding out and sick later.”
“I’m not sick,” he countered immediately.
“Mhmm,” you hummed out, leaning over to plant a kiss on his cheek, just below the black fabric of his mask. “Sure you’re not, babe. I’ll remember that when you’re clinging to me tomorrow and complaining about how awful you feel.”
You could tell by the way his lips pursed and the fabric had shifted along his face that he was shooting you an irritated look. The corner of your own mouth quirked up into a smirk. You’d seen Matt sick a couple of times before and he was always absolutely desperate for physical comfort–though you figured with his heightened senses, being sick felt a whole lot worse to him. And you figured it probably muted his usual ability to navigate the world as he was used to, especially with a stuffed up nose affecting his sense of smell.
“I do not get clingy ,” he disagreed with obvious distaste.
“Whatever you say, Matty,” you replied, lightly patting him on the arm.
You turned, making your way over towards the leather couch. If Matt was going to run around outside in the equivalent of tissue paper while he was sick, you were going to relax and watch some television while being smart and not going outside in the freezing autumn rain.
“I do not get clingy!” he stated again.
Abruptly he turned, storming his way over towards the staircase. You settled into the cushions of the couch with a shake of your head.
“Alright, you don’t get clingy when you’re sick,” you told him.
As you picked up the television remote from the coffee table, you saw Matt had paused yet again at the sound of your voice. Head turning just over his shoulder, cocked a bit to the side, you didn’t miss the deep frown spreading over his lips.
“You didn’t mean that,” he pointed out, tapping a gloved hand to his ear. “I could hear your heart.”
Rolling your eyes playfully at him, you flashed him a grin before you focused on the television across the room. “Of course I didn’t,” you told him, turning on the TV. “Because you do get clingy when you’re sick.”
Matt rumbled out a noise of frustration, stalking his way up the stairs and towards the roof access without another word. He obviously knew he wasn’t winning this argument with you. You began scanning through the channels, looking for a fall baking show to watch as he pulled the door open, the sound of the rain outside briefly louder until the door closed with a sharp clang after him. Shaking your head again, you finally settled on what you were looking for.
“You’re going to be so miserable in the morning,” you muttered under your breath, aware he could still hear you.
°•°•°•°•°•°
Something ice cold landed on your bare stomach and your eyes immediately snapped open, the chill pulling you straight from your sleep. A miserable, muffled groan met your ears over the sound of light rain pattering outside as your barely conscious mind tried to quickly piece everything together.
You were in bed with Matt curled up against the back of you. Apparently it was his icy cold hand on your stomach that had woken you. He shifted behind you, his frigid hand on your bare stomach drawing you further towards him just before he buried his face against the back of your neck. You shivered at how cold he felt against you–Matt was usually a furnace who kept you warm.
“Matt, you’re freezing,” you whispered, trying to glance over your shoulder at him.
“I know,” he groaned, pulling himself in tighter to the back of you. “You’re so warm, though.”
You frowned immediately at the thick, congested sound of his voice. He sounded far worse than he had last night. And that was the only thing keeping you from your usual reaction to Matt’s nearly naked body wrapped so tight around yours.
“You’re sick,” you pointed out.
He groaned again, shaking his head against the back of your neck. “Don’t say it,” he begged, his voice almost a whine. "Don't even say it, sweetheart."
Sighing at his plea for you to not rub the consequences of his actions in his face, your hand dropped down to cover the one he had on your stomach. You did your best attempting to warm it up, rubbing your hand back and forth across his large one. Matt hummed out a pleased noise in response, the sound quite nasally.
“Fine, but you’re sick, Matt,” you pointed out. “I need to take your temperature. See what medicine we still have in the apartment for you to take because I might need to run to the store." You paused when he pitifully moaned in protest at that. "And you’re not going into the office to help Foggy with that thing this morning. I’ll call him myself. Him and Karen can handle things on their own. You need rest.”
“Only if you stay with me,” he murmured, his arm tightening around your waist. “You’re so warm and comfortable. Don't want you to go. Let's just stay in bed .”
Clearing your throat, you pitched your voice lower as you grinned and said, “I’m not clingy, sweetheart.”
Matt groaned again, burying his face further into your neck. “ Not funny,” he muttered.
“Maybe to you,” you countered, still grinning, “but I think it’s quite pertinent.” Patting the back of his hand that was holding you firmly to the front of himself, you said, "I need to get up, Matty. Need to call Fog for you and find the thermometer. And check the medicine cabinet to see what we have. Maybe make us both some hot tea while I'm up."
You felt the way he shook his head once again against you, muttering out a noise of disagreement. He began shifting behind you in the bed, soon tossing one of his legs over the top of both of yours. It was so easy to forget how muscular and powerful Matt was sometimes because you were so used to seeing him walking around the apartment in barely anything most of the time, his muscles often on display. But his single leg was solid and heavy , easily trapping you beneath the weight of it as he refused to release his hold on you and let you up.
" Matt !" you laughed out, reaching your hand down to playfully swat his thigh. "I'm trying to help you!"
"No. Don't want it," he muttered, words muffled against your skin. " Mine ," his congested voice nearly purred as he curled possessively around you.
Your eyes widened in surprise, another little laugh falling out of you. That was new.
"Matt, I at least need to call Fog and get your temperature–you're positively freezing," you told him. "Let me help you. Please?"
He grumbled discontentedly in response, not making any attempt to move. You shifted as best as you could in his restricting embrace, trying to get a look at him.
" Please ?" you tried again, drawing the word out.
It was a moment before he released a resigned sigh beside your ear, his warm breath brushing over your shoulder a sharp contrast to his cold skin pressed against you.
"Will you come back to bed after?" he asked. "Stay with me?"
"If that's what you want, I can stay with you for a bit longer this morning," you relented. "But only after I get all of that done."
Matt hummed out a noise of disagreement, shaking his head. "Uh uh," he mumbled. "I'll give you ten minutes."
You laughed once again, unable to help yourself. "Excuse me? You'll give me ten minutes?" you asked him. "What happens if I take longer than that?"
Gradually he drew his thick thigh from off the top of you, his cold hand retreating from your stomach soon after. Your brows briefly furrowed before he gave your ass a light, unexpected smack. Instantly your eyes widened in shock at the gesture.
"The Devil will bring you back to bed," he warned.
That familiar dark, gravelly tone of his was hard to miss, even with how congested he sounded. A jolt of something shot through you at his threat, the hair on the back of your neck raising. Matt rumbled out a noise behind you in response to your body's reaction.
"Better hurry," he teased. "Time is running out, sweetheart."
Tossing the covers off of yourself, you climbed out of bed and grabbed your phone from the nightstand. Though as you headed to the bathroom to check the medicine cabinet and grab the thermometer, you admittedly found yourself curious about what a sick Devil might do to you if you took too long.

You left the conference room with a better idea of what Tony was hoping you’d be able to accomplish, and you were feeling slightly optimistic for the first time all day: You actually had a chance to help women escape the hell you’d lived in for seven years, and you were going to do your damnedest to do right by them.
You hadn't gotten very far down the hallway toward the elevator when you felt the cold, vice-like grip of a vibranium hand take hold of your wrist and pull you into a storage closet.
"Jesus Christ, Barnes," you yelled, wrenching your arm out of his grasp and rubbing the skin where he'd grabbed you. "What the hell?"
"Funny, I was just about to ask you the same thing." His eyes were dark. He was angry at you. Of all the fucking nerve. He had the gall to be angry at you? "What the hell, Pocket? What was that back there?"
Well, you thought, I guess this is actually happening.
"Really?" you asked, your voice calmer than you could have ever imagined it being. "Can't think of a single reason I'd be upset with you?"
"What are you talking about?" he asked, seeming genuinely confused. "We were fine this morning. Fuck, we talked about getting place of our own, for Christ's sake."
"Yeah," you said, "that's not going to be happening. Ever." He had the audacity to look hurt.
"What do you mean?" He reached for you, but you pulled away from him, trying to put as much distance between you as possible in the cramped space. "Sweetheart, talk to me. Whatever's wrong, we can figure it out together."
"How was Russia, James?" you asked, ignoring the concern in his voice. "Anything... I dunno, exciting happen over there? Twice, maybe?" You watched with a sense of sick satisfaction as all the color drained from Bucky's face and a look of panic overtook him.
"I-I don't know what you mean," he stammered.
"Please," you scoffed. "If there's one thing we can both agree on, it’s that I’m not intellectually stupid. Emotionally? Obviously. But not intellectually. Don't insult my intelligence by acting like you don't know exactly what I'm talking about."
"Whatever Carthage told you," Bucky said, trying to draw close to you again, slowly, as if approaching a wounded animal, "she's lying to you."
"Oh, no worries-- Jade didn't tell me anything, so no need to follow through on your threat to kill her and make sure no one ever finds her body, which, by the way, what the actual fuck?!"
"Doll, you gotta understand," he began, but you cut him off.
“No,” you said, putting a hand up to keep the distance between you. “I’m tired of being understanding when it comes to you, James.” You watched him flinch at your use of his government name. Good. “I’m tired of giving you second chances you don’t deserve. I’m tired of your fucking lies. I am so tired of you.”
You reached into your pocket and took out his phone. “Here,” you said, shoving it into his chest, “you left this when you went to your debrief.”
Bucky clutched the phone, looking between it and you. “You… you went through it?”
“Of course I fucking did!” you seethed. “Imagine my surprise when I picked it up, planning on just pocketing it to give back to you when I next saw you, only to see a notification for a new message from Jade fucking Carthage. The girl whose number I blocked from this very phone. The girl who, you swore to me, you were never going to speak to or be alone with again. Imagine how absolutely devastating that was.”
“You weren’t supposed to read those messages,” Bucky said, his voice low and full of sorrow. “I never intended for you to see them.”
“Well, no fucking shit, Barnes,” you said, throwing your hands in the air. “Kinda defeats the point of having a secret affair if the girlfriend knows about it, doesn’t it?”
“But it wasn’t like that!” Bucky exclaimed, desperate for you to believe him. “I didn’t intend for it to happen. It was an accident! I never meant--"
"Oh, an accident? My bad; I didn't realize you'd 'accidentally' tripped and got your penis stuck in her vagina. Two fucking times." You were hit with a realization. "Was this why you didn't call me when you were supposed to? Why you never returned my messages? Were you lying about your phone dying?"
"Yes, but--"
"For fucks' sake, James!" You were shouting now. "I fucking knew something was going on between you two. I fucking KNEW it, but no, you assured me it was nothing, that I was overreacting. That you loved me. I thought I was losing my fucking mind with insecurity, and meanwhile you've been fucking her behind my back and feeding me bullshit about how much you wanted to be with me."
"Baby, no!" Tears began pooling in Bucky's eyes, but they didn't sway you. "I swear, Russia was the only time anything happened. I promise you."
"See, here's the thing: your promises don't mean shit, James," you spat. "I can't believe a word that comes out of your lying mouth. I'd ask you why, but I wouldn't believe whatever bullshit you'd tell me."
"Because I thought you were with Steve," he blurted out, as if desperately grasping for any chance at making you understand. "I saw the news articles from the gala, and I was so angry! I– I wanted to make you hurt as much as I thought you hurt me…"
His words left you momentarily speechless. "You took the word of fucking trash rag as gospel, thinking I would do that to you? That STEVE would do that to you? And before even thinking about talking it over with me, you decided the smart choice was to go balls deep in the one person who I've been begging you to stay away from for months? That you swore I didn't have to worry about?" God, he seemed so pathetic to you now. “You just made the executive decision that I was a piece of shit? I’ve been to enough therapy sessions to recognize projection when I see it.”
"I'm sorry! I know I fucked up. Please, please just tell me what I have to do to make this right. What can I do to fix this? I'll do anything. You want me to never speak to Jade again? Done."
"That's just it, James," you said, the fight leaving you. "There's nothing that you can do. This is over. We're done. I refuse to do this any longer."
"Sweetheart, please," he cried, "please, you can't mean that. Don't talk like that."
"James..."
"Stop calling me 'James'!" he sobbed. "'m not 'James,' 'm your Bucky. 'm always your Bucky."
You shook your head sadly. "'My Bucky' died the second you decided to sleep with her, and there's no bringing him back. Welcome to the consequences of your actions, James. I hope you and Carthage are happy together. You fucking deserve each other." You started for the door, but Bucky grabbed your wrist before you could grasp the handle.
"Please," he moaned, "this-- this can't be it. We can't end like this. We were supposed to be forever."
You pulled your hand out of his grasp and opened the door. "You should have thought about that before you broke my heart," you whispered. “Again.”
"I don't know how to live without you," he murmured.
"Well, you better figure out how to fucking start," you said as you made your way out the door. "When I get back from this mission, I'm moving out of the Tower. Alone." The idea had just come to you at that moment, but you knew it was the right thing to do. You couldn't stand to live under the same roof as Bucky any longer, let alone across the hall.
"But this is your home," he pleaded. "You don't need to leave it."
"You were my home," you told him. "I don't have one anymore." And you left him standing in the open doorway of the storage closet, alone and crying.

To your pop. I know you wouldn’t say no to me.

baby, im trying to entertain you but you told me to stop
I said stop flirting while I’m eating and answer the question
she wouldn’t stop asking me for details on escobar
Ah. Yeah I can see how discussing that would be a mood killer.
yeah didn’t wanna go in the first place either
So if we ever meet, do not ask about your Colombian experience. Got it.
you can ask, doesn’t mean I’d tell you
Ha! Good to know. I wouldn’t though. If you wanna tell me, I think you will.

Well I was stood up when we first began texting. Think that’s pretty bad, enough.
he’s an idiot because only an idiot would stand you up
You haven’t seen me, remember
statement still stands
Stop being so charming.
you still eating
No.
then I can flirt
Tumblr media
Most of the time, he ignores the mail.
Lets it pile up on the entryway dresser until his pop makes another reference to it. Unlike his pop, he is never in a rush to open them, knowing no good comes from the contents inside.
The same people contact him. The bureau being one. Sipping his coffee as he glares at the usual federal sign on the envelope, wondering how many more times they’ll try asking him to come in for a chat.
This afternoon, though, the envelope isn’t brilliant white, but rather off-cream.
Peeling a bit, thumb digging in as he drags it across, the ripping sound filling the small space. It’s only as he opens it does he realise who it’s from.
His eyes stare at the letter, taking in the number—the one in triple digits with his phone provider logo in the top corner. The number which is making him feel sick, the more he stares at it over and over again.
“Fuck.”
Folding it, he swallows.
Shit.
Motherfucker.
He stuffs it away, tucks it under magazines and other leaflets, as though by keeping it out of sight, it’ll go away.
But it's there.
The edge of it sticking out. He even blinks, and the number is there, tattooed on the back of his eyes. Taunting him—the price of speaking to you.
It's not that Javi can't afford it. He’s had a chunk of money sitting, gaining dust, in his account since he came home. Only able to force portions on his pop as and when he felt he could get away with it.
But this was a lot. More than he’d bargained on, more than he even knew he could spend simply by replying to someone.
There's a chance your day won't be done just yet—his day beginning far earlier than yours even began—but he pulls his phone out, fingers pressing into the keys.
so apparently talking to you is costly  Oh, you've had your bill. I feel I should ask whether I'm worth it?
It’s instant—the way you make the nauseous feeling vanish. How you force it to slide back to where it came from, and in its place, warmth spreads. All accompanied by a smile on his lips.
He doesn’t want to show his hand too much. Better at concealing, playing the long game when standing face to face.
This requires a skill he hasn't yet gained. Simply focusing on not sounding ridiculous, or over the top. Unnecessary. Like some of the desperate men, he's happened to arrest over the years.
Even if his chest flutters and his mind screams, of course. Wants to ask, isn't it obvious? But he chooses something easier, uncomplicated.
yes just didn’t expect it  I had my phone bill the other day. I get it.  did your heart fall out your ass No. But I will be eating ramen for the next month.  We can stop texting so much though, if it’s costing too much.  would rather my bill be double than stop talking to you  You’re such a flirt.
He drains the rest of his mug, leaning back in the chair—hearing the sound of approaching boots from his Pop’s side of the house. Fingers typing, all hurried and determined
Don’t forget I’m out for drinks and a movie.  I remember don’t worry
He remembers as soon as you remind him.
Realising it's the reason you're able to reply right now. You’d been telling him almost every night for the past week. All worried, as though hating the idea of breaking the nightly tradition the two of you have concocted.
In a way, Javi should have assumed the bill would be high with the number of texts the two of you have been sending. How frequent it’s been—how nice it’s been.
Nice things do usually come with a tag.
you decided on sweet or salty  Verdict is still out. You sure about waiting to do the crossword?  if we don’t do it tonight, we’ll do two the next day  You sure? more than sure have a great time
“Y’sure you don’t fancy coming with me, Jav?”
He thinks of it, tapping his phone against his palm as he thinks of your text the other night. The one about him trying to say yes—something curling in his chest as he realises he’ll be alone, alone if he doesn’t.
A sentiment he didn’t mind on paper, but now confronted with, rather despised.
“Alright, yeah. Can—can I get changed?”
Mid-grabbing his own jacket, his Pop turns, surprise knitted into his wiry brows. “Y-yeah, sure, I’ll….”
“I’ll meet you at the truck?”
And he does. All without complaint. Plaid shirt on, a smile being forced as soon as the truck pulls off the drive. He doesn't even complain about the radio choice or the fact his Pop always takes the main roads when he could cut down the dusty roads.
When he arrives, he doesn’t mind how many hands he shakes, one after the next. He tries not to grit his teeth as each person says the usual things, they’re proud, he’s grown, when is he settling down? Each time he laughs it off. Spanish rolling from his tongue as he smiles and winks.
It’s performative.
The old version of him coming out from a hidden place.
Always there, ready, as his hand shakes another person's hand—one he’s already forgotten the name of. Someone he’s sure he’s met before, too.
It always happens. The small-town boy who took down drug cartels has become somewhat of a celebrity tale. A thing to gawk at when he visits the store. Chucho's boy who ran away to Colombia and now hides away on the ranch.
For the amount of time it's been, he'd foolishly expected it to die down—but it hasn't. Not enough, anyway.
After enough time, he excuses himself, sneaking down the corridor near the bathroom. Leaning against the wall, fingers trying to rub out a knot that hasn’t yet appeared in his skull. The one pulsing, threatening to build behind his eye.
He’s unsure what he wants to do, what he needs. Retrieving his phone, just clicking around, before finding himself on your texts—feeling better for it.
Reading them back, smirking at some, smiling wide at others. A shape forming in his head, little details he’d amassed to make up you. A person he was pretty sure meant more to him than evening company, but it seemed tricky to delve too far into it.
That is until his phone vibrated.
Just wanted to tell you I miss you. Even if that’s weird.
His fingers hover over the keys, a retort quick—there in his touch.
Slowly he presses it out, hearing the click even over the bar’s music as he double and triple taps each button he wants, until it forms what it is he thought:
not weird, you drunk I’m tipsy, not drunk. Still mean it. good cause i miss you too
Tumblr media
you never said how the movie was
As someone who flies a lot, I shouldn’t have watched it.
that bad
Will probably have to hold the hand of my seat mate the next time work makes me fly.
I’m sure they won’t mind
Depends on the length of my nails I guess.
some people don’t mind nails clawing in certain situations
You trying to tell me you like nails down your back, Javi?
if the situation is right, yes
What about in your hair?
now who’s being a tease
I’m learning so much tonight.
and your putting images in my head
I’d love to know what I look like in it, since you haven’t seen me.
beautiful, you look beautiful
My face is burning.
Tumblr media
your day been ok
Yeah, was fine. Work has been rough.
you want to talk about it
Not really, it’s stupid anyway. Plus, would rather do the crosswords and hang with you.
you do have two to make up to me
Best get giving me the clues then, Javi.
four letters, begins with f
Is this a Javi crossword or a real crossword
baby, cmon
Fuck?
fork
someone’s in a dirty mood
You’re such a dick. Give me a real clue.
Tumblr media
There's not a point in time where he can track how his thoughts went from nothing to you. But, he thinks about you all the time.
Has been doing so constantly for the last two days, at least—the occasional vibrations from his phone making his lips twitch and his mind wander. Javi’s brain exploding with wonder at what your reply could say.
Sometimes, he tries not to check immediately. Test—see—how long he can go before he does. It’s not been going well.
An excitement dashing through his veins that fills his chest, warms his neck and makes a ridiculous grin appear (one he’s caught accidentally in the mirror).
The back and forth has been quicker—for as costly as it was—outside of routines and work. His fingers have even improved in the speed of tapping the same key to get one single letter.
Each text makes him feel like he learns a new nugget about you, gathering a new piece of the puzzle—an idea of you forming in front of his eyes. One he likes—craves more of—wishing for other tidbits similar to how you like coffee after breakfast, not before.
That you don’t care for birthday cake, but love cookies.
morning hermosa hope you managed to grab the coffee
He doesn’t expect to hear from you.
Remembering that your time management in the morning isn’t to be admired. You are someone who is either awake too early or too late—never in the middle.
But, when he finishes. Sweat clinging to every muscle, he’s surprised to find nothing.
Even a little disappointed.
finished up for the day, unsure whether to lounge around on the porch or push the boat out and lounge in the barn
You’ve become such a part of his day, his shoulders sink when he steps out of the shower to see nothing.
His heart slips down inside his chest, resting unsteadily on his ribs as he checks and checks. His fingers fluff his hair as he runs his fingers through it before finding a strand, twisting, and twisting.
I’m probably worrying about nothing but just let me know you’re ok
A part of him had worried this would happen.
That he would allow the attachment to grow—ropes and threads wrapping around him—and it would be taken from under his feet.
He has a history of becoming hooked—usually combining itself with his need to help, to make someone’s day better, easier.
And on paper, he knew it was odd. To care for someone he hadn’t ever even met. But he cares all the same.
Copious amounts, in fact.
Far past an, ‘I miss you’—something else entirely, not that he’d admit as much.
hermosa I’m really getting worried now
He doesn’t want to call.
Doesn’t want to invade your privacy, your space. But it’s knotting inside of him. The things he’s seen, rushing to the surface, pecking away, making him overthink.
His mind conjures ideas that you’re hurt, wounded. That you’re crying, alone. Each flash of his past has the curated blob-of-a-face he’s created for you, written over it.
His fingers twitch, hand moving to his pocket before remembering there are no cigarettes to be found there. He quit. Ages ago. Felt better for it—for the most part—until now.
Now when all he wants is to focus on the taste, the way smoke swirls with the warm Texas air—
Hey, I'm so sorry, I had a bad day. Just didn’t check my phone.  shit hermosa, you scared me.  almost called you.  Really? yeah  Would you? what call you Yeah?
[Dialing number…]
you declined  I did
His heart sinks, crashes, and plummets.
Then a new vibration, one that travels down his fingers to his wrist, suddenly staring at an instruction: Give me your landline number, be cheaper. For both of us.
Glancing into the living room, he taps the number in for you. Hating each precious second he wastes by having to delete a letter that should be a number.
Pushing the chair back, hearing it screech as he hovers. Nervousness thumps through him, making him shake, vibrate.
Staring, willing the phone to ring.
Even as he tries to collect himself, his mind has already begun running away from him. Hearing his pulse thump in his ear, thump, thump—
And then it’s ringing—you’re ringing.
His voice shouts out he’ll get it as he picks up the phone from the hook.
“Javi… that you?”
Grinning, he laughs, light and airy. “Hi. Yeah, it’s me.”
Silence blankets his ears and the air, thumb circling a knot in his forehead.
Smiling, he changes the phone to his other ear. “Knew you’d sound pretty. You have a nice voice.”
“Shut up, Javi. I’ve said three words.”
“And a few more.”
He hears you suck in a breath as heat rushes to his ears, feeling the edges of his lips curl into a smile.
“You wanna talk about it or talk about something else?”
He hears you take a breath another breath. Different this time, all accompanied by a shuffling sound from your end.
“Something else. If that… that’s okay?”
“Yeah, sure. Alright, lemme… lemme think for a second—“
You clear your throat, “You have a nice voice, too, by the way.”
Pausing, he bites the inside of his cheek. “Like you imagined?”
“Better, honestly.”
“I could have called you. I have this additional thing on our plan—so my Pop could call. When I was away.”
“From when you were in Colombia?”
Rubbing the bridge of his nose, he nodded. “Yeah…”
“Well, if this conversation goes well, you may get a new number to add to your phone book.”
“That so? Who’s flirting now.”
You laugh, sweet—fluttering its gorgeous wings down the phone to his ear as he readjusts the phone.
Dropping his voice, he turns more to the walls. “So, what you wearing, baby?”
“Oh my god, Javi.”
He doesn’t even mute his laughter, just lets it flow from him—rushing through the house. Not even caring if his Pop can hear him in the next room.
"I'm wearing nothing."
"Hermosa, you tease."
You laugh, and it's different. It's rich, and makes the room glow around him, without you even being here.
"I'm not really, I'm in a baggy t-shirt."
"Not as sexy, but I'm sure I can work with it."
You snort, "Javi, stop."
He wonders if your cheeks are warm. He hopes they are.
Leaning against the wall, he smirks, if only to himself. "I like how you say my name, Hermosa."

The hate you had for Simon Riley ran deep. Before you met him you were a good girl. You went to church every Sunday, volunteered to help in youth groups, and were the Priest's daughter. It was a life filled with love, community, and toxicity. Your father had been waiting to auction you off to his favorite usher's son. Your father judged a book by its cover; unfortunately for you, that meant almost no friends.
So when a young man and his mother come to church for the first time, your father is less than thrilled. His mother was known around town, she was a sleaze. She was outgoing, boisterous, and sometimes flirty. Your father called her a jezebel, although you tried to ignore his rude comments and welcome them into the church. Simon's mother thought you were the cutest thing since Polly Pocket, although you didn't quite resemble Polly your tiny stature was often compared to her. Her son, Simon was the complete opposite. He was quiet, shy, and often never spoke. That was comforting to you, everyone in the church always had something to say, except for him. You had tried countless times to invite him to youth groups and asked him for dinner! Your father scolded you, although you didn't care what he thought of the new followers, to you they deserve all the love. Once Simon had gotten to know you more, he had liked you. You were small, and kind, and your big eyes made him groan internally. You were the perfect kind of toy for him to play with. Gullible and bashful. The more you hung around Simon the more worldly you became. Your father took notice and made sure you knew how disappointed he was. Not only did he ground and ban you from seeing your new friend, but he also forced a purity ring onto your hand. Your father was a sick man. There have been many scandals surrounding him. He simply shushed them away with money. His only way out of any bad situation. In a way, Simon reminded you of your father before the church. Loving, caring, and gentle.
You had often snuck out late at night to visit Simon. The two of you would meet up at a park called “Condamnée.” The park was a safe place for both of you. After your father had put the purity ring on you, you needed to speak to Simon. Only he could make your sweet little heart feel better. To say you felt like a sinner would be an understatement. But you couldn't help it. Simon was like a bad habit, something you kept running back to. You didn't know if it was possible to let him go, you felt like there was a strong connection between the two of you. When Simon sees the ring on your pretty finger he can't help but smirk. You looked up at him with teary eyes and he caressed your cheek gently. “You've let a silly little ring get you all worked up like this, peaches?” He would say in a condescending tone. You simply nodded with a pout. What he did next surprised you, but you couldn't ignore the wet feeling in your pink panties as he did it. He slid the ring off of your finger and took off the silver chain he wore. He slid the ring onto the chain and then clasped it around his neck. You looked at him with wide eyes and he simply chuckled. “Oh my gosh, I'm going to hell!” You said with a quiver of your lips. He chuckled and pushed you onto the bench. He bent down in front of you and kissed your ankles.
“Y'r here for a good time, not a long one peaches.” He said as he kissed up your legs. It felt wrong, it was wrong. Yet the feeling of his tongue gracing the inside of your thighs made you squirm. He looked up at you with a sinister smirk. He had his hood on so all you could see were his honey brown eyes and the skull imprint of his mask. Sick. This was sick. You tried to tell yourself to push him away, but you couldn't. He felt too good. As his tongue reached your panties he looked up at you, asking for permission. “Can I touch you, sweet girl?” He asked, you could tell he was practically praying for a yes. So of course, you gave him a soft nod. He looked up at you, the pretty little sinner in front of him. Oh, what a fucking sight.

warnings: yandere behavior, some cursing, negative thoughts, cheating, toxic relationships, (like, um, things aren't really healthy here in anyone's relationship except for reader and felix. sorry.)
summary:
They'll do whatever you ask. Anything you need. Anything you want. It's yours. They'll fulfill your every desire and whim. Give you the life you had always dreamed about.
And in exchange, you wouldn't just give them your soul. Oh, no, They weren't demons. What good was your soul when your purpose was better served alive and well? Your soul was nice, sure, but it wasn't all they wanted. It wasn't all they needed. They needed your body, your mind. Your blood. You entirely. Every single fiber of your being would soon be theirs and theirs alone.
The moment you signed that contract, everything would change. For them and for you.
And there was nothing you could do about it.

You stared at the open trunk of your car, wondering just how the hell you were going to get either box up to your new apartment by yourself. When you had ordered the new mattress and bedframe for your new place, you had been counting on Felix to help you move things in, but then he had called earlier stating he was sick and leaving you by yourself for the day.
You couldn’t blame him. Not when you knew he had been looking forward to this day almost as much as you had, eager for an inside look at The Paradigm and a possible peek at your future coworkers. But the timing of it all couldn’t have been worse for you, having already picked up your new furniture from the store by the time he had called you to let you know. If your situation had been normal, you could have just left them in your car until the following weekend, but you knew that would only put you in a worse situation. One where you might be forced to kiss your new life goodbye before it had ever even started.
Knowing there was an elevator did give you a slight boost in confidence, and you thought you could very possibly get the box that contained your bed frame up to your place. The mattress, however, was a different story. Perhaps you might have been able to do it if you dragged it, but even then, you risked making a commotion and you didn’t want to accidentally damage anything in the endeavor either. The last thing you needed was to make a worse impression than you already had; the fact you had been late to your lease signing still haunted your mind despite Seonghwa’s insistence it was fine.
The only other option you could think of was to ask one of your future coworkers for help. Since you had signed the lease last Monday, you had been added to a group chat with the eight of them, each who had been nothing short of sweet and welcoming to you. And though there had been multiple offers of help extended your way, you hadn’t actually expected to take any of them up on it. You didn’t want to bother them on a Saturday afternoon, especially with such a late notice, but your fear of keeping the boxes in your car for another week only to risk your boyfriend seeing them far outweighed your fear of asking for help.
Running a hand through your hair and doing your best to ignore the anxieties that popped up from the thought, you pulled your phone out of your back pocket and opened up the group chat. Your eyes briefly skimmed over the previous  messages, unable to keep your cheeks from tinting pink at their content, especially knowing the face behind each name.
They chatted often. Not enough to where your phone was always blowing up, but enough for you to see the clear bond between them, leading to many occasions of you feeling like you were an intruder, not quite familiar with many of their jokes or references. But just when you would begin to wonder if they had forgotten you were there, someone would direct the conversation your way, directly asking your opinion on the matter or apologizing on the behalf of someone else in the chat.
You scrolled past the messages that had come through on your drive over  as you hesitated - someone had borrowed one of Hongjoong’s jackets a few weeks ago and had yet to return it - fingers hovering over the screen for a few seconds as you wondered just how to word the message without sounding too needy. By the time you had come up with something and typed it out, you quickly deleted it before retyping something else before deleting and repeating the process all over a second time. This time however, you hit send before you could even think about talking yourself out of it and attempting to move in by yourself to avoid the anxiety asking for help always brought.
Your regret was immediate, and you quickly locked your phone up and slid it in your pocket to avoid seeing any responses the request might pull and wondering just what you were thinking. Your phone buzzed almost immediately, and you froze, wanting to pull it out, and yet, terrified all the same. When it buzzed once again a few seconds later, you slowly pulled it out, preparing yourself for the worst, but finding two acceptances instead. Jongho had been the first to respond with a short, but enthusiastic Me! while Mingi had followed a few seconds later, stating he was also free if an extra set of hands was needed.
There was relief in knowing you would be able to unpack your car this weekend, but the solution had come with its own set of problems. Not only did you still feel like an inconvenience for bothering them on the weekend, but you really didn’t know any of them at this point, and had yet to even meet either of the two who had offered to help you today face-to-face. From your previous experiences with each of them, you were confident you could get along well enough, but it would still be a while before you became comfortable enough around them that you didn’t always feel slightly on edge.
You sifted through a few of the other boxes and bags in your car as you waited for Jongho and Mingi to come, briefly checking your own appearance in your car’s rear view mirror. Now that you no longer needed your savings to rent a place of your own, you had been free to spend some of it on furnishing your new apartment and had spent the majority of the morning out shopping. Besides your clothing, books, and a few other belongings you couldn’t bear to part with, there was little you would be actually taking from your current place and you wanted this place to be as move-in ready as it could be by this time next week. And while you hadn’t gotten everything you needed, not quite having enough on hand to buy any other major furniture pieces besides a bed, you were able to snag some new towels, bedsheets, and enough dishware to get you started for the time being.
Your eyes glanced behind you every so often as you waited, looking out for the two who had stated they were on their way down once you had given them your location. You weren’t sure exactly what either boy looked like, but you did have a sneaking suspicion you would be able to spot them nonetheless. All you had to do was likely wait for the next two attractive strangers to leave the apartment building and you were sure to find them.
And though you did your best to not let your mind dwell there, you found yourself growing self-conscious of your own appearance, checking and straightening your hair up once more in the mirror. You had dressed simply for the occasion, putting your own comfort first, and merely pulling on a pair of joggers, cropped tee, and a jacket that you had since wrapped around your waist from the lingering summer heat. Before, you had at least tried to fit in with the higher class of the complex, but one brief look at the tenants who had just walked inside, and you were swiftly reminded of how much you stuck out here.
You didn’t have to wait too much longer. Just a few minutes later and you found you had been right in your earlier assessment. At the sound of the door opening behind you, you glanced back to find two men walking out, both equally as attractive as the others. The one on the left was tall, just as tall if not taller than Yunho had been, while the other was just a few inches taller than yourself. Something that had been said must have annoyed the shorter one, as he shoved the other as they made their way outside, but a smile was planted on each of their faces and the earlier action done playfully.
Upon seeing you standing by your car, both of their faces instantly lit up and the taller one was quick to wave. His smile was infectious, leaving you to follow suit with your own before returning his wave as well.
“You must be y/n.” It was the taller one who addressed you first as they drew close, holding out his hand for you to shake. “I’m Mingi.”
“It’s very nice to meet you, Mingi.” Now that you were close, you could see his hair was not black like you had originally thought, but a dark blue. that shone through in the fluorescent lights of the parking garage.
His smile nearly had you melting up close, instantly setting your nerves to rest as you took his hand. So, this was the other doctor who served at the complex, seemingly just as sweet and gentle as Yunho had been. And with his appearance just as young as the former, you wondered if the two had met in medical school. They definitely appeared around the same age as each other.
“I’m Jongho.” The other swiftly stole your attention, his smile just as endearing as the one before. All it took was one quick look and you were struck with the sudden urge to know just what it felt like to be hugged by him, all but craving to be wrapped up in his warm embrace.
“So, you needed some help moving things in?” Mingi asked, snapping the strange spell that had grabbed hold of you in that moment, a slight edge to his tone that surprised you. You turned your gaze back to him just in time to see the look he had given Jongho, not quite angry, nor was it quite frustrated either, but almost reprimanding. But a smile was quick to replace it when his gaze met yours once more, leaving you wondering if it hadn’t just been a trick of the light.
“Yes,  sorry.” Your smile became bashful, once again embarrassed by having to ask for their help. “My friend was supposed to be here with me today to help, but then he came down with something and wasn’t able to make it, so thank you, truly, for your help. I really appreciate it.”
You ran your hand through your hair, wondering if you would ever feel completely at ease around any of them. You had no want for any sort of romantic relationship once you finally broke things off with your boyfriend the following week, but the strange attraction you felt towards each of them was enough to keep you on edge, leaving you flustered more often than not, all but craving to get in closer.
“It shouldn’t take too long. I just needed some help with these two boxes,” you motioned to the two larger ones, inwardly cursing yourself. You had never had this problem before, not even with Haneul, who you had been silently crushing on since he had started working with you. “So, maybe just five or so minutes of your time and then you can return back to whatever it was you were doing beforehand.”
“Don’t worry about it. We’re both more than happy to help.” Jongho waved your concern away, moving past you to grab the heavier of the two boxes. “Neither of us were up to anything important. We were just hiding out at Wooyoung’s place while he started prepping for dinner tonight, which he said you are more than welcome to come to as well, by the way.”
“Careful, that’s-” You barely registered the invitation to dinner, more concerned about helping Jongho with the box he was pulling out, but he lifted it with ease, “...heavy.”
You found it impossible not to stare, watching it awe as he shifted the box onto his right shoulder to help support the weight, and unable to keep your eyes from wandering over the muscles on his arms. You had struggled to lift the box into your car earlier, and yet, he had made it look like it was nothing.
Just how much did this guy workout?
“Careful, Jongho,” Mingi’s voice held a similar tone from earlier, breaking you out from your thoughts once more. You were acutely aware you had been staring at Jongho in that moment, and shifted your gaze away, but not before Jongho had caught your wandering eyes out of the corner of his own.
“I’ve got it, I’ve got it.” He waved both of your concerns away, an innocent, yet almost smug smile on his face.
Mingi didn’t seem nearly as amused, but his expression lightened when he turned to address you. “Don’t worry, I can get the other one if you don’t mind getting the doors.”
You nodded, watching in a similar awe as Mingi grabbed the box that contained your new bed frame with just as much ease as Jongho before. You knew you weren’t that strong, but you didn’t think you were that weak either. Sure, you didn’t go to the gym every day, or even every other day for that matter, but you liked to think you had some muscles from casually working out with Felix over the past few years when you had the time.
It took you several seconds to comprehend Mingi’s request, body and mind not quite catching up to what was currently happening until Jongho called for you from further ahead. You shook your head, snapping yourself out of the daze and grabbing a few bags from your trunk before running up to grab the door for Jongho before he reached it.
You didn’t have to direct either of them to your unit. Upon reaching the elevator, Mingi had pressed the button for the sixth floor before you could even think to say something and guided you effortlessly down the hall to where the door to your apartment lay.
“Where would you like us to put them?” Mingi asked as he slid past the door you held open and into the main room. “Upstairs?”
“If it’s not too much trouble, that would be great.”
It felt strange coming back here, once again in complete awe of the space around you. It was more than you could ever dream of, and completely yours. A fact you didn’t think would ever settle completely in your head.
“Hey, y/n, this is your bed, right?” Jongho pulled you from your thoughts, leaning over the banister of the lofted area to address you. “You want us to put it together for you while we’re here?”
“Oh, no, that’s okay. I can get it myself later.” You shook your head, waving his offer away. “I’ve taken enough of your Saturday as it is.”
“Trust me, neither one of us minds. And if I’m being honest, you’re really doing us a favor. Hongjoong was trying to rope us into running a few errands for him since we were free and I did not feel like driving around town all afternoon.” Propping his elbows up against the edge, he rested his chin down into his hands. “So, we are now your humble servants for the rest of the afternoon, ready and willing to do whatever you need of us.”
He winked, and you hoped he couldn’t see the blush that tinted your cheeks as you turned your head away and used all your current brainpower to come up with a proper response.
“C’mon, while Jongho starts putting the bed frame together, why don’t you and I get the rest of the stuff from your car?” Mingi didn’t seem to have any reservations about Jongho’s former statement as he came back down the stairs, motioning with his head for the two of you to head back out. “And then we can help him finish when we’re done.”
He didn’t wait for you to agree, leaving you no choice but to follow after him and accept their offer of help.
“So, how long have you lived here?” You asked once the two of you had made it back down to your car, shuffling around some of the boxes to have a better grip.
“I’ve been here since The Paradigm opened,” Mingi replied, taking the heavier boxes from your hands and leaving you with just the new bedsheets and towels to carry. “Hongjoong and I have known each other for a long time, so when he introduced a new business venture he was interested in, I signed right up. The rent was free and it certainly beat the long shifts at the hospital.” He shrugged, closing your trunk for you now that it was empty. “What about you? Have you always lived in the city?”
You shook your head, readjusting the bags in your hands to open the door for the two of you. “I grew up in a pretty rural area up north, but moved down here for college, so I’ve only been in the city for about… three years now, I think.”
“And what do you think about it?”
“City life definitely has its pros and cons, and for the most part, I really do love living here, but I don’t know,” you shrugged, “sometimes it’s just a little overwhelming being in such a big place all on your own.”
“You’re by yourself?” Mingi’s head tilted, surprised by your words. “I’m sorry, I just assumed you had been living with someone else.”
“Well, you’d be right about that. I pretty much moved in with my boyfriend as soon as I arrived, but,” you paused, unsure how exactly to word your current situation, “I guess I've always felt like I was still all by myself.”
“Is that why you’re getting a new place?”
You shook your head. “We’re actually breaking up, so I was in need of a new place to stay.”
“Oh, I’m sorry.”
“Thank you, but it’s really for the best.” It was hard to meet Mingi’s eyes as you waited for the elevator, fingers nervously fidgeting with the bags in your hands. “The two of us might have been fighting the inevitable for a while, but it’s really something that’s been coming for a long time now, and honestly, as terrified as it makes me being out on my own again, I’m also relieved to finally be able to get away.”
“And why’s that?” It was hard to place Mingi’s expression. He was empathetic towards your situation, that was obvious, but there was something else there. Something more than the vague curiosity he presented alongside it.
You could feel your body freezing up on you, wondering if it was appropriate to dump all your past trauma on someone you had just met, but Mingi felt nothing but genuine next to you. His gentle nature all but encouraging you to tell him what was on your mind.
“Well, let’s just say the guy has never learned how to keep it in his pants.” The words rolled out with ease, prompting you to continue. “And I know, I’m an idiot for staying with him through it all this time, but each time I talked to him about it, he truly seemed sorry and willing to change, and it’s not like I had anywhere else to go.”
Your words trailed off, feeling self-conscious over your past attempts. It was so easy to see how foolish you were now. To see how you should have left. To see how anyone in their right mind would have left, and yet, you hadn’t. You had allowed him to convince you to stay each and every time, fully believing everything would work out.
You tugged the bags you were holding closer to your chest, suddenly feeling very small and insignificant in that moment. As much as you knew the problem lay with him and not yourself, you still fought against the lies that told you it was your fault, that if you had only been better, none of this would have ever happened. He would have never cheated on you; you would have never gotten yourself hurt.
“I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to dump that all on you.”
“I don’t mind. After all, it’s not good to keep feelings all bottled up inside and if it makes you feel better, I can listen to you rant about him as long as you need.” Mingi’s shoulder bumped against your own as the elevator came to a stop, and you could see his smile reflecting in the doors as they opened, but it didn’t quite meet his eyes this time around. “But I can’t help but feel a little concerned over the fact you’re still living with him over this next week. Are you sure that’s safe?”
“It’s not ideal, sure, but it’s not like I have any other choice. I would have loved to move in as soon as I had signed the lease, but he knows where I work and he would have just come in one day and convinced me to change my mind. He can be very persuasive when he wants to be.” You could feel your body tensing, not quite comfortable with the direction the conversation had taken. It was uncomfortable to talk about this side of your past, embarrassing to see just how easily you had allowed him to manipulate you. “But it’s nothing to worry about. I’ve been with him for the past three  years, so I can do one more week as long as he doesn’t catch on that I’m leaving. And despite his cheating ways, he’s never done anything to hurt me. Well,” you frowned, instantly taking note of the lie you had just spoken, “not physically, at least.”
You drove the conversation to its end as you made it back to your apartment, motioning for Mingi to set his boxes on the kitchen counter for now. And while you made your way upstairs to check on Jongho and leave the conversation completely, Mingi excused himself out into the hallway to make a quick phone call once he remembered he had forgotten to list a few of the supplies he had needed Hongjoong to pick up during his time out.
“You want some help?”
Jongho had made some progress in your absence, the majority of the pieces scattered around him in the relative shape of a bed, and you couldn’t help but feel partially guilty for leaving him to do the task for you when it was your bed frame.
He nodded, motioning for you to come over. “If you could hold this together for me real quick, that would be great.”
“Of course.”
You matched his smile as you settled down on the ground beside him to take hold of the pieces he was talking about, and it didn’t take long for you to become aware of how close the two of you were in that moment. Especially, when he leaned in closer to screw together the two pieces you were holding for him.
“Once again, thank you.” You spoke after a few minutes, hoping to alleviate some of the tension you felt from being so close to him, and hating how on edge he made you. It was the same way with the others, and yet, it was distinctly worse around some than others. Jongho’s presence fell towards the latter, and you had a much harder time keeping a grip on your thoughts and emotions around him than you had with Mingi, and yet, one look at both of them was enough for all your solid reasoning to leave your body. “I really appreciate your help.”
“It’s no problem at all,” Jongho replied, arm brushing up against yours. “Like I said earlier, you’re really doing us a favor in return. We were looking for an excuse to be busy until dinner tonight.”
“Oh, yeah, you mentioned Wooyoung was making dinner for you. That’s very sweet of him.” You thought Jongho might have mentioned Wooyoung had also extended an invitation towards you, but didn’t want to make any assumptions in case you had heard him wrong, distracted by the show of strength of the boy next to you.
“He’s just about the only one of us who’s actually any good at cooking. Well, Seonghwa’s pretty decent as well, but he doesn’t enjoy it the way Wooyoung does, nor is he as willing to share with the rest of us. Woo usually hosts a dinner once or twice a week, but you’ll definitely have to watch out for him,” Jongho continued. “Baking is pretty much that man’s love language and he’ll load you with more goods and sweets then you’ll know what to do with.”
“Oh, well, if that’s how he is, I guess it’s a good thing I have a sweet tooth.”
The words were out before you could stop them, and it took you a few seconds to realize just what you had said and how it might have sounded, especially the chuckle it had pulled out of Jongho. You hadn’t meant anything by it, but as you quickly ran through the words in your head once more, you began to question what exactly Jongho had meant by his statement and if it hadn’t been as innocent as you had first believed. Especially when he was quick to quip back, “You’re not the only one.”
And was it your imagination, or had he shifted closer to you than necessary? Leaning forward into you as he reached around your body to tighten the piece he had you holding.
Thankfully, you were saved from responding when Mingi came up the stairs behind you, though the way he cleared his voice to announce his presence didn’t make you feel any better from the position Jongho had taken around you.
“Fucking hell, Mingi.” Jongho’s string of curses was almost too low to hear, leaving you once again wondering what exactly was going on around you as Jongho straightened back up. His eyes rolled, agitation once again lining his features, or at least you thought it had. One blink and the look was gone, replaced with another innocent expression as he motioned to his left hand. “Sorry, cut myself.” His hand rose to his mouth, briefly sucking on the end of his middle finger to get rid of the blood that had begun pooling on the tip.
You averted your eyes, shaking your head in an attempt to clear it and wondering just what was up with you today. Perhaps you were simply coming down with whatever illness Felix had. You had seen him the day before, after all, so you very well could have caught it from him then; the beginning of a fever clouding your mind and judgment. And yet, your forehead felt cool to the touch when you brushed the back of your hand against it despite the heat that flooded you.
Things calmed down once Mingi joined the two of you, helping you finish putting the bed frame together. Once it was completed, you directed them to where you wanted it to lie before unboxing your mattress and allowing it time to air out before tugging on the set of sheets you had bought.
By the time you were all done, it was nearly five and you were far more exhausted than you expected to be, especially knowing you had the opening shift tomorrow morning. You were supposed to be working it with Felix, but now you weren’t so sure since he had come down with something. You didn’t really have any qualms with the rest of your coworkers, nor with your managers, but working with Felix was always a lot less exhausting than working a shift with anyone else.
“Thank you again for helping me out,” you said as you made your way back downstairs, rolling out the kinks in your back. “I really appreciate all your help and I don’t mean to seem rude, but I should probably get ready to head back to my place soon.”
“You’re not going to stay for dinner?” Jongho asked, seemingly disappointed as he reminded you of the offer he had extended towards you earlier in the day.
“Oh, right.”
You had forgotten about the invitation until now, and quickly debated over what you should do. On one hand, you were exhausted and craved an evening to yourself, but on the other hand, you didn’t want to seem rude and turn down the offer either. It would be good to get to know them and the others a bit better, and if you wanted everything here to go smoothly as possible, it would be best to get on good terms with each of them.
“If you’re sure I wouldn’t be interrupting anything, I’d love to join you, but I probably can’t stay too long. I have work tomorrow morning and a fairly long drive back to my place.”
And with reassurances your presence was more than welcomed, you followed them out of your apartment and down to the floor beneath yours where Wooyoung’s own unit lay. The door was unlocked, and neither boy even bothered knocking and made their way inside as though it was their own apartment. You followed behind a bit more hesitantly, slipping off your shoes at the doorway and pushing them to the side.
The layout to Wooyoung’s place was vastly different from yours, having actual bedrooms towards the back instead of a lofted studio like your own. A large kitchen was directly to your right, which then flowed directly into a small dining room with a view of the city behind it, while the living area was to your left.
Wooyoung was busy in the kitchen upon your arrival, and you could faintly make out two figures sprawled out on the couch playing what looked to be Super Smash Bros.
“Oh, y/n, you came!”
Wooyoung was the first to notice your presence, but one mention of your name was all it took for the game on your left to pause and the two seated there to give you their attention as well. Now that their heads were turned towards you, you were able to see it was Yeosang and San seated there.
“Thanks for having me over, and for dinner too.” You returned his smile, shuffling awkwardly at everyone’s attention. “I’ve heard a lot about your cooking and can’t wait to try it.” And if it was anything like the cookies you had earlier in the week or the smell wafting from the kitchen, you knew it probably matched up to the hype.
“Well, unfortunately you’ll have to wait another hour or so before it’s ready and everyone else gets here,” Wooyoung turned as the timer on the oven went off, “but feel free to make yourself at home in the meantime and just let me know if you need anything.”
“Hey, y/n, we have plenty of controllers if you want to join.” Before you could thank Wooyoung, you were being waved over by San and Yeosang, the former waving a controller your way.
“Sure, I’d love to,” you politely excused yourself from Wooyoung as you were guided over to the living room by Mingi, “though I must warn you, I’m not very good. I never really got any of the combos down, so I’m usually just button mashing and hoping for the best.”
“Well, you wouldn’t be the only one,” San replied, motioning to the spot between him and Yeosang on the couch and handing you a controller when you had sat down. “Even the bots can beat Yeosang.”
“May I remind you that we only switched to this game because you got tired of me kicking your ass in Mario Kart.”
“Don’t feel too bad, I’m even worse at that game.” You giggled as Yeosang ended the game he and San had been playing, loading up a new preset for the rest of you to join. “Thankfully, though, I can always do pretty decent in Mario Party. Which is kind of sad, but I’ll take what I can get.”
“Well, we have that too if you want to switch.” Yeosang replied, but you shook your head, not wanting to ruin their fun.
“No, this is perfectly fine with me. I might be terrible at it, but I still enjoy playing.” You contemplated which character you were going to pick as you spoke. You had thought about starting with Link, but upon seeing Mingi get to him before you, you decided to just go with your other go-to for the first round.
“Sephiroth, huh?” Yeosang was the first to remark as you solidified your character.
“Mmhmm.” You shifted in your seat, pulling your legs up to your chest as you nodded. “Final Fantasy and Zelda were pretty much my childhood growing up, so I usually tend to orient towards those characters. Well, them and Joker. I never really got into the Persona games like my friend Felix, but I do love his aesthetic.”
It took you a few rounds to get back into the swing of things, having been several months since the last time you had played. You rotated between characters as you went, going from Shiek to Joker and then back to Sephiroth, but it was clear you were nowhere near the level of the others. Occasionally you would beat Yeosang, and even once managed to outlast Mingi, but on most occasions you would be the first one dead, proving your lack of skills for the game.
After a few more games, you decided to take a break, excusing yourself to go check on Wooyoung and feeling a little guilty from all the work he was doing by himself while you played. You weren’t much of a cook yourself, at least not on the level he was, but surely there was something you could do, even if it was just keeping him company for the time being.
He lounged against one of the counters, head buried into the phone he held. As his eyes scanned the small screen, a frown worked its way across his features and his fingers danced across the screen to form a reply to whatever had upset him.
“Can I help with anything?”
His head whipped up at your soft approach, and whatever had upset him was quickly replaced with a smile. With one last glance at his phone, he pocketed it and shook his head. “I don’t think so. Everything’s pretty much ready , so we’re really just waiting for the others to make it back. Hongjoong had some errands to run and it seems they had to make a few detours on their way back, so they’re running later than expected. Can I get you anything to drink in the meantime, though?”
“Water if you don’t mind.”
You took a seat at the island counter as Wooyoung fetched your drink, wondering if you would ever get used to living like this. If you would ever get used to living here at The Paradigm. Despite knowing you now had your very own place one level above, you couldn’t help but feel like it was all some hazy dream. That you would finally wake up and realize nothing had changed because you knew how crazy this whole situation was. It was just too good to be true, and yet, here you still were, seemingly still wide awake.
You chatted idly with Wooyoung as you waited, munching on a small snack he had given you when you had accidentally let it slip that you hadn’t eaten anything all day. You hadn’t meant to skip lunch, but it had just slipped your mind with everything else going on. Yeosang joined the two of you shortly after, giving video games a rest for the night after being severely beaten once more.
The others arrived shortly after, just as the sun was starting to set. You couldn’t help but grow slightly more on edge at their appearance, fully aware of Hongjoong’s and Seonghwa’s position above you in your new job, but it didn’t take long to ease back into a more relaxed state. Well, as relaxed as you could be around them.
Yeosang and Wooyoung kept their positions beside you, while Hongjoong took up the empty bar stool beside you. As you ate, you spoke of your childhood, your family, as well as your interests and how you had ended up in the city. You were aware of the way the attention seemed to be directed towards you, but any time you attempted to direct the conversation elsewhere and ask them about themselves, it didn’t take long for the conversation to drift its way back to you once more. You didn’t mind, not really, having nothing to hide about your past, but you couldn’t help but feel a little bad and hoped they didn’t think badly of the fact you were doing the majority of talking.
It didn’t take long for you to lose track of time, your phone laying forgotten beside you on the counter. It wasn’t until you looked outside and saw the sun had long set that you were suddenly reminded of the fact you still had a long drive back to your apartment. You grabbed your phone to check the time, barely recognizing it was much later than you had anticipated when you noticed several missed calls and a few texts from Felix alongside a message from your manager.
“Is everything alright?” Hongjoong was the first to take note of the confusion that crossed your features as you scanned over the text from your manager, the source of Felix’s concern.
“Yeah, yeah, everything’s good. It’s just…” Your words trailed off, trying to make sense of what she had sent you and understanding why Felix had now been trying to get a hold of you. “Do you mind if I go make a call real quick?” You excused yourself from the bar, making your way out of the apartment and out into the hallway for some privacy as you returned Felix’s call.
“Jesus, y/n, do you know how badly you just scared me?” Felix didn’t even bother with a greeting, leaving you cringing as you realized exactly what sort of state he was in. “Don’t tell me that fucking bastard found out you were moving.”
“No, no, nothing like that.” You frowned, understanding how it must have looked from his side, and yet just as lost as he was over the whole situation. “I’m sorry for scaring you, Lix, I really didn’t mean to, but to be honest, I’m just as confused as you are. For some reason Hana texted me an hour ago saying not to bother showing up to work for my last few shifts. I texted her back asking why or if I had done something, but all she’s said is that she just got someone else to cover me.”
“Wait, so she just took you off the schedule and said not to bother finishing up?”
“That’s what it looks like.” You took a screenshot of the conversation with your manager, sending it over to Felix to show him exactly what had been said. “I mean, I guess I don’t really mind. It’s not like I need the money now, but I just don’t understand why she did it without asking me first. You don’t think I did something do you? Something that might have made her mad?”
You had never had any problems with Hana before. Sure, you had your shared frustrations towards the way she managed the store occasionally, but the two of you had always gotten along, at least you thought you had. She had always seemed to appreciate your work ethic and she had never expressed any concern towards you before. But what if something had happened? What if she had overheard one of your conversations with Felix about you wishing you could just finish up this job and move on with your life and had gotten upset over it?
“No way, you were Hana’s favorite, so maybe she just wanted to give you a break.” Felix replied, pushing back any anxieties that had popped up from it. “You’ve covered a lot of shifts for her in the past, so maybe she just wanted to repay the favor here in the end, especially knowing how excited you are.”
“I don’t know.” You leaned back against the wall behind you, still trying to run the situation over in your head. Because of the delicate position you were in, you had only simply told her and your other coworkers you were moving. The only one who knew exactly where was Felix. “Maybe.”
“Well, regardless of what or how it happened, it looks like you now have the week off, so what are you going to do now?”
“I don’t know.” In all your confusion over what had happened with your schedule, you had yet to even think about what that meant for you or what you might be able to do with it. “I guess I could move in early now, but…” You paused, the weight of the situation hitting you. You had known all along what was happening, and yet, it had never quite hit you like it did now.
“But, what? Don’t tell me you're getting second thoughts about it all again, because if you are, I will drive over to your place right now and drag your ass out of there whether you want me to or not.”
“No, no, it’s not that.” At least you didn’t think it was. You wanted to leave, you did, but why did it suddenly scare you so much? “And I’m not even there right now, so your drive would be wasted.”
“Don’t tell me you’re still unpacking, are you?” You could hear the pity in Felix’s voice, fully aware he still felt terrible for having to bail on you earlier in the day.
“Oh, no. I got some help from Mingi and Jongho and we finished up hours ago.” You quickly waved his concern away. “It’s just that I got invited to dinner and lost track of time.”
“Dinner?” You didn’t have to see Felix to know what expression had crossed his face, and you did your best to hide your blush  regardless of the fact you couldn’t see each other.
“No, it’s not like that at all. I guess Wooyoung hosts dinners occasionally, so I just got roped into going as well.” Your body shifted, growing uncomfortable by the inclination his voice had held and lowering your voice. “There’s absolutely nothing going on and they’re just being friendly, Lix. Just friends hanging out with friends, nothing more.”
“Well, at least for now.”
“Oh, come on Felix, it’ll never come to that and you know it.” And despite the teasing tone his voice had taken, you could feel yourself beginning to sink into yourself, realizing how stupid it would be to ever think otherwise. “I don’t doubt that most of them are already in a relationship, and even if they’re not, they wouldn’t be interested in me. I mean, why the hell would they?”
“Well, if you ask me, they’d be dumb not to be.” Felix’s voice softened. “I mean, if I swung that way, I’d snag you right up before anyone else could have a chance to steal you. You’re the ultimate package, n/n. You’re sweet, kind, smart-”
“You’re only saying that because you’re required to as my best friend.”
And he had to be, didn’t he? After all, how could you believe something like that when everything in life had told you otherwise? The only person to ever express an interest in you before had swiftly shown you weren’t worth it and continued to tell you so for years. He had proved  that there was something wrong with you, because otherwise, he would have cared enough about you to not break you completely.
“I know it might be hard to believe it at times, but you are worth it, y/n, truly. And one of these days you’ll finally meet someone who will help to teach you that, but for now, you’ll just have to take it from me. And I promise you, I’m not saying any of this because I’m required to, but rather because I believe it.”
“Oh, Felix.” You wiped your eyes, brushing away the tears that had fallen and biting back the apology that fell at the tip of your tongue. You had had this conversation or similar ones enough in the past to know Felix would only immediately refute it, saying there was absolutely no need to apologize. “I don’t know what I would do without you.” You repeated the words you had said to him so often, truly wondering why he had ever decided to become your friend with all the baggage that came with you. In all the time you had known him, he had been a bright light in your life and a steady force that had gotten you through some of the roughest times in your life.
You talked for a minute longer to help lift your spirits back up, confirming with Felix that you were in a fit state to drive and would head back to your boyfriend’s place for the night and start packing up so that you were ready and gone before he came home tomorrow night. You strayed in the hallway for a bit longer once the call was over, attempting to get your emotions under control once more and prayed that your eyes weren’t red from crying.
Taking one last breath and doing your best to compose yourself, you made your way back into Wooyoung’s apartment to thank him, Mingi, and Jongho one last time before heading back for the night.
“Everything alright?” Hongjoong was the first to address you at your return, but you shook off his concern as best you could, fully hoping the smile you wore met your eyes.
“Yeah, it was just some stuff that came up with work.” Your hands fiddled with the end of your jacket’s sleeves, shuffling awkwardly at the eyes that watched you. “Apparently my manager found someone to take the rest of my shifts for the week and was just letting me know.”
“So, you’re now done?” Mingi asked, turning from his conversation at the table with Yunho to address you.
You nodded. “Yeah, I think so. I’ll still need to drop a few things off sometime this week, but I’ll probably do that sometime tomorrow after I’m done packing.” You paused for a moment before continuing, hoping you wouldn’t make things awkward by leaving directly after the phone call. “Which I have quite a bit to do now in a short amount of time, so I should probably go ahead and leave for the night-”
“Are you sure that’s a good idea?” Hongjoong asked, stopping you from heading back to the door when he took hold of your wrist. “You did have quite a bit of wine earlier, and I don’t think it would be safe for you to drive.”
“What are you talking…?” Your head tilted, confused as to what he was talking about. You hadn’t drank anything tonight because you had known you would be driving back home. You had made sure of it.
And yet, now that you thought about it, you weren’t so sure. You didn’t think you had drank anything, but then why was there an empty wine glass next to your plate alongside the faintest memories beginning to pop up of you drinking it. Hadn’t Wooyoung offered you a glass before dinner had begun, and you had accepted thinking it would be fine if you drank it early enough?
God, how could you have forgotten you had been drinking? Were you really that drunk that you had completely forgotten what you had been doing? And how could you, when you could so clearly feel the effects of the alcohol in your system now, leaving you unsteady on your feet. What had you been thinking earlier? You were in no state to be driving. Not when you were now struggling to stand on your own two feet.
“Right, um…” You struggled  to get your thoughts together, suddenly aware of how hot it was in there.
“Woah, you okay there, pretty?” It was Yeosang behind you who spoke, grabbing hold of your shoulder to help steady you when you attempted to take your jacket back off, the action leaving you stumbling forward.
He, alongside Hongjoong, who still had a hold on your wrist, used their grip on you to guide you back down to your seat, leaving your vision racing momentarily. When your eyes managed to focus once more, you saw Hongjoong leaning over you, his close presence doing little to calm your racing thoughts, and only serving to scramble them more than ever. And as you looked up into his eyes, all your mind could focus on was how breathtakingly beautiful he was alongside the deep yearning to feel his lips pressed against your own.
“Why don’t I take you back to your room?” His hand brushed the hair out of your eyes, expression painstakingly sweet. “And then maybe we can go over and help you pack the rest of your stuff in the morning when you’re in a better mindset, yeah?”
You didn’t hear exactly what he had said, your brain too scrambled to comprehend what exactly was going on, but you nodded your head in agreement anyways, ready and more than willing to do whatever it was he asked of you.

You kept ignoring the girls' advice, in a way it bothered you that they were afraid of Tendou hurting you but you convinced them that he was someone you wanted to spend time with. Without interfering much in your life, they let you be, as long as nothing bad happened to you, everything would be fine.
Today you finished the club activities later, some new plants had arrived that you had to place because it was your turn to take inventory. You wiped the sweat from your forehead and the dirt from your clothes to close everything and go to the bedrooms. Well, that was your main plan because you wanted to get rid of the dirt along with the bad smell but hearing the squeaks of the court it was inevitable not to approach. It had become customary to go visit the boys, with whom you end up having a strange friendship, you communicated with them thanks to Tendou, he was like a translator or rather like a parrot that repeated what you said.
You were received by a ball that almost hit your face, if it weren't for your reflexes you would probably have ended up lying on the ground because of that power. You blinked before picking up the ball and putting it in the cart along with the others.
"I-I'm so sorry!"
You saw how Goshiki bowed deeply over and over again, you waved your arms downplaying it, you couldn't get angry with such a baby even if that ball had hit you, the dark-haired man was undoubtedly your favorite of the entire team. You managed to calm him down, you watched their training again silently supporting everyone with smiles or nods, you helped clean up and now you are on your way to the bedrooms.
"So we're having a study session?"
Semi looked expectantly at his companions, searching for an affirmative answer to his question.
"Yes, please."
"Yes!"
"Would you like to join?"
Ushijima asked you politely, you going to decline so you could rest; lately they had sent more work than usual, also a few days ago you couldn't sleep well, but Tendou answered for you.
"Of course she'll come, she's probably a brainiac just like Shirabu, she can help us."
«Stop answering for me, Tendou»
"Oww, I just want you to join your friends, plus I'm sure our future ace needs some help with his homework."
Goshiki nodded frantically asking for your help since mister salty didn't want to help him, saying that he was too stupid to understand anything.
«Sneaky salami»
"Salami!? Is that an insult?"
You smiled innocently walking next to Semi, who was the calmest of all. You sighed internally, you couldn't deny that cinnamon roll help and Tendou knew it.
When you arrived at the room of the blocker and former setter you sat on some cushions, you were placed next to the first year to help him, you lent him some of your notes that despite being a second year served him perfectly to understand the basics. Bored you played with a pen scribbling from time to time, apparently your notes were understood so well that he didn't need you to explain it.
Tendou watched as your eyes traveled from side to side looking for something interesting, he smiled mischievously to walk towards the drawer where he kept his treasure; his favorite manga. You turned your head quickly as he hummed your name playfully, he pointed to the tome in his palm to repeatedly raise his eyebrows.
«What's that?»
He opened his mouth surprised and offended, you had no idea about that because you basically didn't read anything in particular. He practically dragged you next to him as he explained the story, slowly turning the pages so that you had time to read, you discussed some things with him from time to time. A few minutes passed in which he did not stop talking, then you began to feel all the accumulated fatigue, you ended up leaning on his lap to be able to rest, somehow his voice relaxed you so you fell asleep quickly.
"Tendou, she has fallen asleep."
Ushijima reported as he watched how you rested comfortably on the redhead, you instinctively hugged him causing him to stiffen for a few moments, resuming the posture he was going to wake you up but Shirabu stopped him.
"Let her rest, lately we've had a lot of homework."
He saw how you smiled in your sleep, snuggling closer to him, causing a faint blush on his face, he positioned you better so that he could hug you from behind and that you could rest on his chest. He wrapped his long arms around your waist placing his head on yours to continue reading the manga that was now on the table.
"How sweet you are, Tendou."
His teammates were not going to waste the opportunity to make fun of his blocker, especially if we talk about Semi, who constantly suffered from the redhead's jokes.
"Shut up Semisemi."
He stuck his tongue out at him childishly and they carried on with their chores throughout the afternoon without further interruption, without anyone waking you from your sleep, clinging to the comfort of Tendou's embrace.

-Y/n's Pov-
"Come on! Die Die Die!" I screamed in excitement while punching the character in front of me. "You're cheating Y/n! Button smashing is an instant L!" Lucas screamed in game rage since I won for the 5th time in a row. "Come on guys, food is here." I shut off the console and got up off of the floor, stretching out my cramps. "What's for dinner Hyunjin?" I say in a yawn. "Pizza, use your eyes." he answers while stuffing his face. I roll my eyes playfully and grab my own slice, meat lovers my favorite. I sit at the kitchen table while everyone eats in silence, it's just us three here since Hyunjin's parents are on a business trip.
Lucas, Hyunjin's 13 year old brother invited me over for some video games and how could I resist? I would get to see my crush, yes it's Hyunjin, we are what you would call, childhood friends. I'm aware that he has a girlfriend, but that doesn't stop me from crushing silently. What's not to like about him? He is charming, funny and sweet, so much more- "Hello???" Hyunjin waves his hand in front of my face and I come back to reality. "What?" I answer while taking another bite of my pizza. "You were drooling!" Lucas says while laughing at me. My face instantly heats up to a dark cherry red and I roll my eyes. "I was not, I was thinking!" I can hear the snickering but I ignore it.
-Time Skip to 9 PM-
"Well now that Lucas is asleep I better go now." I say giving Hyunjin a side hug. I am a little sad to be leaving and part of me wishes he would ask me to stay but I had this gut feeling that he just wasn't going to. He has a girlfriend, he probably wants to call her over instead- "Earth to Y/n!?" I snap back to reality yet again, only to realize that I was staring at Hyunjin. "Is your main hobby just staring at my beautiful face?" He smirks mockingly. I scoff and sigh. "Absolutely not! I was just-" he cut me off. "Thinking, I know." I walked over towards the door. "Nothing wrong with thinking you know."
"I know, but where do you think you're going? I didn't rent a whole movie for you to just not watch it Y/n." I look at him confused as he makes his way over towards me, gently pushing me into the living room. I sit on the couch and ask what he means. "I rented the Avatar 2 for you! You wouldn't shut up about it last week, my poor ears!" He jokes acting hurt. I instantly feel better, I get to watch a 3 hour long movie with my crush, alone! Even though this isn't anything new, it still feels so exciting, but then the sick feeling inside me came back up when I remembered his girlfriend. "I am flattered Hyunjin, I really am but I honestly think you should watch it with Luna.." I say, faking a smile.
He sits next to me and gently grabs my hand, I can feel the heat creeping up to my face again, and he speaks in a low tone. "Me and Luna broke up 3 months ago." I gasp, how could he not tell me this? As much as I was jealous of her place in his life, she was honestly such a great friend. "Why didn't you tell me? What happened?" He looks down, avoiding eye contact before breaking the silence. "Nothing happened I just realized I had feelings for someone else as did she." Yeah that stung, but I can't blame him, the heart wants what it wants. I push his hand off of mine and hug him, a friendly hug. "I am sorry, I hope all goes well with this new one." All hopes I had were thrown down the stairs, but I really can't be mad at him.
As I stand up, he quickly speaks again, making me freeze. "It's you Y/n, it's always been you." I step back, too stunned to speak but quickly punch his shoulder. "That's not a funny thing to joke about! You asshole!" I slam my hands on my hips and he starts laughing. God damn it, I knew it! "Y/n, I'm not joking this time I swear, I really like you." My body relaxes and my eyebrows knit together. "Me? Why me?" He stands up and walks closer towards me, stopping in front of me, reaching out. "Because you're you." Wow the butterflies I feel, I think they're doing summersaults. "So you could say...that I am your crush?" He snorts. "If we were like 12!" I love his sarcasm. "I like you too Hyunjin." He smiles and nods.
"I know, you love staring at me, and besides Lucas told me." "I am going to kill that little gremlin!" "Well before you do, let's make this official." He slides his hand onto my waist and pulls me closer, gently tucking a loose strand of my Y/H/C hair behind my ear. I feel my breath fastening, this is all I have ever dreamed of, it's almost happening! I close my eyes waiting for a kiss. After 2 seconds of nothing, I open my eyes to a pitch black room. I was dreaming the whole time. I glance at my alarm clock and read 4:26 am, god damn it!

Tangerine Skies: Possum x Y/N Series CH 4

TW: Fucking, P n V, Fingering, Squirting
"Wait, John! Where did my tips go?" Y/n looked for the jar that sat on the countertop.
"You know those have to be split." He snorted.
"I'm the only person working doubles. Who the hell am I splitting them with?" She asked confused and he held up the cash in his hand.
"You know the rules darlin'. I let you work here, you've got to pay me." She hated John. He was a scummy, perverted trash goblin who constantly took advantage of the women who worked at the diner. The one time he made a pass at her, she almost broke his wrist and threatened to cut his pecker off if he ever tried again. Now he's an absolute prick about paying her.
"This is bullshit and you know it." She took her apron off and tossed it on the counter.
"You could always quit. Plenty of broads around here looking for pocket change." Y/n gave John the finger before getting in her car and heading back to the campsite. She must have startled Possum because he ran out of his tent with wide eyes.
"I thought you were a cop...sorry." He admitted. Y/n ignored him and stormed into the RV. Possum stood confused until she burst back out of the RV with a change of clothes in her hands and slammed them down on the picnic table.
"I'm so fucking sick and tired of having to put up with the bastards of this stupid town and making it seem like anyone who wasn't spit out here is some sort of loser." She tore her nametag off her blouse and Possum continued to stand silently, listening to her rant.
"I work really fucking hard to be able to live how I live and all I wanted was to save enough for me to get out of here and back on the road for my next adventure." She kicked her shoes off and started to take her pantyhose off.
"I shouldn't have to work twice as hard because I have goals beyond this place. It's not fair." She started undoing the buttons of the uniform and Possum's eyebrows went up. She peeled the uniform off and stood in her bra and panties now as she raged.
"Why does it seem like I'll never get out of here? Why is it acceptable for perverts to hold the power of a paycheck over someone's head?" She stepped into a pair of shorts and Possum nodded his head.
"Sounds like you had a bad day." He finally spoke lighting a joint.
"I did. I had the worst day and I wanted to quit so bad but I only need another grand before I can get out of here and go where with enough gas." Y/n explained throwing a big shirt over her head.
"I can't help with that but I can certainly help take the edge off." He held up the joint and walked it towards her. She slouched feeling the tension leave her shoulders and Possum smiled, reaching up and pulling her hair down so she was now fully relaxed. Y/n shook her hair out and Possum laughed. She liked to see him smile. She took the joint from his hand and took a long drag of it, stepping back and looking him over.
"How high are you right now?" She asked curiously.
"I'm lucid...why?" He asked equally curious about her questioning. She moved towards him carefully and extended her hand with the joint in it but when he reached for it, she pulled it back towards herself slowly causing him to step towards her. She used her free hand to touch his neck and kiss him carefully. Possum moaned against her lips for a few moments before pulling back.
"Would you object to taking the edge off a different way?" Y/n pitched. Possum moved his lips trying to form words but then made a noise like he was trying to calculate something in his head.
"Are you suggesting that we fuck?" Possum asked casually. Y/n nodded her head and Possum mimicked her nod.
"Yeah yeah that could work." He was the one to grab her this time, taking her by surprise as he kissed her once more. Running his hands up the front of her shirt and gripping her breasts roughly. Y/n felt him backing her into the picnic table until her legs hit it.
"W-wait, the joint." She held it up and ashed it out on the table and put it in his pocket before pulling his vest off. Y/n yanked her shirt over her head and Possum picked her up off her feet by surprise.
Possum buried his face into her tits, still tightly snug in her bra. He sat down on the picnic table and brought her to straddle his waist.
"You don't- you don't want to fuck in the RV?" Y/n asked breathlessly.
"No I enjoy being outside, in nature." He unclasped the bra and let her tits fall into his hands, cupping them and bringing them to his mouth to suckle and bite. Y/n moaned, throwing her back to expose her neck. She could feel Possum hard beneath her and she put her hand down to rub him through his jeans.
Possum stopped abruptly.
"I did this backwards." Possum confessed standing back up and putting her on her feet. She wasn't sure what he was talking about until he started to undress himself. He yanked his shirt over his head and Y/n pushed her shorts to the ground before reaching forward and pulling his jeans to his ankles. He pulled her by the waist towards him as he shuffled his feet now trapped by his jeans and boots. He spun her around to grip the table and pressed himself against her ass.
"Fuck...go slow, I haven't...I haven't done this in a while." Y/n was nervous. Possum's length alone would be a new sensation. He ran his tongue down her back leaving little bite marks on her bare ass cheek before reaching between her legs and feeling how wet she was.
"I won't hurt you. I promise." Possum kissed at her neck, letting his cock rub against her skin before using a free hand to bring his cock to her pussy. He eased in slowly feeling her tense slightly and reaching back to touch his thigh. He cooed in her ear making sure to stay at the pace she wanted him to before he had finally made it most of the way inside of her.
"Fuck you're so big. I feel so full." Possum let his hand fall on top of hers as it rested on his thigh.
"That's a good full right? No pain?" Possum asked making her turn her head to see him.
"God no it feels good. Really good. You can move, please." Y/n begged. Possum took her breasts into his hands from behind and tried to keep a tight grip on them as he started shallow thrusts. He groaned and waited for her to push back onto his cock before he really started pistoning his hips upwards.
"Fuck! FUCK! You're so fucking tight." Possum whined trying to catch his breath. Y/n didn't hide her moans. Possum was right. Fucking outdoors was liberating. She could feel everything all at once and she fucking loved it.
"Fuck, fucking fuck." Possum's pace was becoming sloppy and he pulled out suddenly, making Y/n gasp as he pushed his hand in the middle of her back so he could cum all over her ass, shooting nearly halfway up her spine. He shuttered, stroking his cock carefully, pulling every drop of cum out of himself before using his finger to slide his cum off her skin and onto his fingers. Y/n wasn't expecting to finish but when Possum replaced his cock with his two cum-covered fingers.
"Oh fuck Possum, don't stop." He used this as motivation to spin her around and use his thumb on her clit as he continued to pulse his fingers in and out of her pussy. She gripped him by the shoulders and he leaned against her, letting her pull on his hair and bit his collarbone until her legs started to wobbling and she was squirting down his wrist, screaming. He slowed his hand down, not stopping completely until she put her shaking hand on top of his to halt all movement.
"I've never...I've never done that before." Y/n blushed. She had never actually squirted before or really cum without helping herself along. She blushed and Possum smiled.
"I can show you how to do it all the time if you want." Possum offered and Y/n laughed.
"Right now, I just want the feeling back in my legs first." Possum used his shirt to wipe the cum off her and clean himself up. As they put themselves back together, Possum re-lit the joint and sat down next to the fire he had built early. Y/n walked onto the RV and grabbed a blanket to wrap around herself before plopping down next to Possum with a smile. He silently held out the joint again and she took it, shaking her head.
This was the kind of evening unwinding she wished she had every night.

Thieves must be punished
Summary: They were almost there, victory was in their reach, the notebook was just in the next room. All it took was one wrong choice, one wrong move for it all to end. Thanks @rabbitdemonlol for my inspiration

SMG4 pulls at the door panicked over hearing Mario coming in hot, Three was sick of this all they have done was run. He turns to Four “I’m sick of running away from this idiot!” Four nods letting go of the door. Three had a point Mario is their friend, they know him which means why run “Your right! Why are we afraid? It’s just Mario!” they both nod and decide they will bring the fight to Mario it's not like their avatar would really hurt them. Deep down Four knows his friend is still there, they just need to knock sense back into him.
Mario burst through the door, Four had fought the plumber before and took the front. Three cheered on four as he got ready to fight, what they weren't ready for was just how far gone their friend is. Four starts swinging as they have  a boxing match, then a strange jingle starts to play through the speakers. Three looked around confused while Four recognized the song making him stop swinging “This song?” distracted Mario took the chance to take out his katana and slash at four. Three’s eyes go wide as he sprints to his partner “FOUR!” Everything felt slow for the meme guardian as he slowly realized what best friend did, he lands into SMG3 arms as the man lifts Four and runs off ignoring Mario's haunting laughter behind them. Four shakes touching his chest and seeing all the blood “T-three…” SMG3 shakes his head as he looks for a place to hide “Don't talk idiot save your strength, if you die i swear i'm coming after you to kill you myself!”
Finding a good spot he gently places four down,  he goes to check the wound and finds his hand shaking. Four gives him a soft smile as his eyes water “Three…i don't think i can make this.” Three shakes his head as Eggdog runs up to him handing him a towel to use, he places it on the wound pressing down in hopes to stop the bleeding. Slowly Four reached for Three’s face, Four was already finding breathing to be painful he needed to get his words out “Three…listen to me please,” Three looked into the man's blue eyes seeing them water up, breaking his heart. “If i don't make it…i want you to know my feelings, Three…i love you,” Three couldn't believe his ears as he stared at the weak man in front of him. His own eyes now water as he leans forward kissing Four “I love you to, and you will make it i wont lose you not now not ever.”  Eggdog brings a first aid kit he found, Three searches frantically hoping to find something to save his love.  He clenches his fist, the wound was too much and Four has lost too much blood if things kept going four would die.  He pulls four close hugging him, Four starts crying in his arms “I want to go home..”
Three nods wiping his tears “Don't worry baby, I will get us home just stay with me okay?” Four’s eyes were starting to fade as he felt himself getting cold and ready to sleep, he knew what that meant he had seen movies describe death just like that. Three kept looking for something to save Four not seeing the guardian slowly slipping away behind him. Mario chuckles at finding them “Thanks S M G 4 your blood helped us find you!” Three turn glaring at Mario “YOU FUCKER! WHY WOULD YOU DO THIS TO HIM AREN'T WE YOUR FRIENDS!?”
Three hears a thud and turns, shaking his head “FOUR!” he runs to the man's body shaking him “FOUR! BABY! No..NO! TALK TO ME PLEASE!” the more he shook the body the more it was hitting Three, his partner and ex rival is dead. Marty walks up next to Mario smirking at the sight in front of them as the jingle from before starts playing, the avatar sighs then looks at Three “oh, don't worry three, Marty has something special prepared for you.”
Looking up from his partners body he growls at the plumber and cardboard in front of him “FUCK YOU!” he wasn't going down, he will live and he will do it for both him and Four. He takes out his gun and fires only to be blocked by Mario's katana, the avatar smirks as he dashes towards Three. Mario kept getting close to cutting the man lucky for him years of being SMG4 rival he has gotten good at avoiding attacks. That's when the lights go out, Three squints in the darkness growling. Suddenly a TV screen lights up in the distance, Three points his gun unsure what was going on. He hears Mario laugh as he stands near Marty “Ready to see what we have planned for you?” SMG3 fires his gun for the TV to vanish. No matter what he won't give up the fight, then he felt cables wrap around him. Before he had a chance to escape he was knocked down and dragged away into the darkness.
Three crew members were getting worried, Four told them that they would be gone for a couple of hours but it had been three days. Getting together Meggy led the crew to the casino, that's when they saw it. A casket with SMG4 picture on it, Tari then screams making the crew look in her direction as there was SMG3 covered in blood, crying. Meggy runs up to him “THREE! WHAT HAPPENED HERE!?” The man's body began to move like a puppet with a hidden master moving his strings. He was going to attack Meggy only to be saved by Melony, seeing this Mario comes out clapping with a huge smirk “Hello, Marty has plans for everyone!”

ASK AND YOU SHALL RECEIVE. I'm still very much cooking but I'll write down what I'm thinking so far.
I love these two so much. It's absolutely insane how the two bots least likely to trust anyone became partners, and while the show wouldn't upset the status quo so majorly, I really wanted to see Auto Berserk go a different way.
So Starscream is sick of Megatron's scrap, and getting abandoned on the battlefield was the last straw. Red Alert is on a hair trigger and thinks the autobots are going to take him apart for scraps. Starscream spots an opportunity!
He pulls Red Alert aside to hide him from the autobots and start his plotting and scheming. It's them two against the world now, and if they can get the negavator, no one will be able to stop them anymore. Starscream wants to finally be on top (but secretly he just wants to finally be safe) and Red Alert wants the security (even though his personality will always find something to be paranoid about). They need therapy your honor.
Starscream is in a pretty good place here! Red Alert isn't hard to manipulate, all Starscream has to do is play into his fears. It's free partner (but watch out)!
I have this vivid image in my head of Red Alert jumping at the slightest of sounds, interpreting anything and everything as a threat to him and his new partner. On one hand, it's kind of annoying to keep talking him down from a false alarm, but on the other... Starscream never had anyone by his side before who was so genuinely concerned for his safety. He's always had to look out for number one because no one else would. Skyfire was the only one who would, but even after he was found in the ice, that didn't last long. Uh oh, he's getting attached.
On Red Alert 's end, he's getting to see a completely different side of Starscream. The flaky SIC gets so much scrap for his cowardice and general gremlin behavior (not to mention how the autobots literally joke about the Megatron domestic abuse), but without the autobots or the decepticons around, Starscream is surprisingly competent. It'll definitely give him something to think about when his logic circuits aren't buzzing like bees on crack.
Then they capture the negavator. All the factions and the two defectors are in one high stakes fight. Red Alert's not doing too hot, Starscream wants to make sure he doesn't leave him for rejoin the autobots without stressing him out so much he explodes, and then Megatron chooses this moment to come in like the kool aid man.
It comes down to this: claim he was getting the weapon for Megatron... Or stick with Red Alert. The answer is obvious isn't it? Megatron will kill him if he doesn't get into his good graces immediately. But Starscream hesitates. The reason he got into this mess was that Megatron left him for dead even when he wasn't being actively traitorous. He's alive as long as he is useful, and even that isn't a guarantee. But for all his paranoia, Red never threatened Starscream's life.
Red Alert sees Starscream's hesitation, and for a moment he fears Starscream will betray him. He should have known not to trust the Decepticon notorious for his treachery. But Starscream instead calls for a tactical retreat for the defectors.
I'm a bit fuzzy on what happens next, but the gist of it is Starscream chose Red Alert over Megatron, and Red returns the favor. They are besties, do not separate. On one hand, I want Screamy to have more defector vacation bc there's no way he'd drop everything and join the autobots so easily. But at the same time, using his null ray to calm down Red Alert's overactive circuits is a temporary measure, and Red will have to get medical attention sooner or later, and when he does he will return to his own faction.
They are so star crossed. They worked so well together when they both acted as neutrals (ignoring the gaslighting. Shhhh it's my sandbox now I do what I want) but that can't last and it's 😭😭😭🥺🥺🥺. Unless Starscream gets his head out of his tailpipe. Hence, I'm grabbing him by the throat and shoving him in the redemption bin. Somehow.

You weren’t sure which one of you suggested watching a movie to cap off your evening, but there you were, sitting on opposite ends of the sofa as the flickering light of the television danced across your faces in the darkness. If someone had asked you what you were watching, you honestly couldn't have told them. Your eyes kept flickering to Bucky’s profile as he chuckled at whatever was happening on screen.
He was so pretty, you found yourself thinking. How could you have forgotten how pretty he was? You tried to ignore him, you really did, but he was like a magnet, drawing your gaze to him against your will. You felt a familiar warmth begin to pool between your legs just from the sight of him. You wanted him. God, you wanted him so much. You’d spent the last two months trying to forget him, but now, he was right here, just feet away.
Licking your lips, you made an executive decision, knowing full well it was probably not your best one (but still better than the drugs, you rationalized to yourself), and began crawling over to him. He turned to look at you, an unspoken question across his face.
“Hi,” you breathed, so close to him now you could almost taste the memory of his skin on your tongue.
“Hello,” he smiled as he turned to face you better. “What’s up, Pocket?”
“I miss you.” You leaned in and took his earlobe between your teeth, suckling it gently into your mouth. You were rewarded when his entire body shivered and he sucked in a shaky breath. He didn’t move to push you away, so you slowly crawled your body into his lap, placing soft, open-mouthed kisses along his jaw and the corner of his mouth.
Everything about this felt so absolutely right as you ground your hips against him, the familiar, thick length of him pressing against your core as if it had been molded to fit there. Bucky groaned as your lips reached for him, but it was as if the sound he elicited had woken him from a trance. He gripped your hips, gently but firmly, and put space between your bodies.
“This is a bad idea,” he said, eyes closed as if even looking at you would destroy his resolve.
His words may as well have been bullets, the way they dug into your stomach. He was rejecting you? After everything? “You don’t want me?” your voice came out small, a weak plea that would have shamed you at any other time, but in this moment, encapsulated the insecurity you felt in his denial.
Bucky pressed his forehead to yours, eyes still closed. “I always want you, sweets. It’s never a question of that. Never.”
“Then what is it?” you asked, growing more desperate. You brought your hands up to cup his face, urging him to open his eyes, to look at you, connect with you in the way you two used to do so well.
“You just lost a baby,” he breathed. “Didn’t you read any of your discharge paperwork? You’ve gotta wait until the doctor gives you the clear before you can have sex again.”
You rolled your eyes. If that was all he was worried about… “I don’t need your dick in me for you to make me feel good, Buck,” you whined. “Just like you know I can make you cum without ever using my cunt.” As if to prove your point, you snaked a hand down his body and began to palm him through the material of his jeans.
His hand shot down and grabbed you by the wrist, holding it still and keeping you from working him. “Stop,” he pleaded, sounding like he was the one who risked being in pain from fucking, instead of you.
“You’d rather I use my dirty mouth?” you asked with a smirk, beginning to maneuver yourself to your knees, but Bucky had grabbed your other wrist before you could get very far, locking you into place, and keeping you from touching him. “No,” he panted, obviously worked up.
“Then, what?” you asked, growing frustrated.
“I… I can’t be intimate with you right now,” he confessed, as though it pained him to do so. “Even if you were healed up enough for me to fuck you properly, I… wouldn’t do it.”
You shifted your weight back putting more distance between your bodies. The confusion you originally felt as his confession quickly morphed into the shameful anger of embarrassment as you registered his use of the word ‘wouldn’t.’ Not an inability, but a choice.
“It’s just sex, Barnes,” you spat, not being able to keep the hurt from your voice. “It doesn’t have to mean anything.”
“That’s just it, Pocket,” he said, searching your eyes with his own. “I’m not going to have meaningless sex with you.”
You pulled yourself off his lap, yanking your wrists from his hands. Your shame was burning across your face, and you were grateful for the cover of night to hide the rising color of your cheeks. “So, you’re fine having meaningless sex with her,” you snapped, unable to say Jade’s name even after all the time that had passed, “but not with me? God, forget I asked; I see your priorities haven’t fucking changed.” You moved to storm out of the living room, to hide in your bed behind closed doors, but Bucky sprung up from the couch and, in an instant, was standing in front of you, blocking your exit with his immovable frame.
“Hey!” Bucky barked, the force of the one word startling you. “Don’t do that! Don’t run from me, not again!” He ran both hands desperately through his hair. “I’m not going to have meaningless sex with you, because if I do, it won’t be meaningless! Not to me.” The last three words were softer, more vulnerable, a confession he was afraid you would take as a weakness.
“I told you I was greedy, sweetheart,” he said to you, pulling you close to him as he began to nuzzle your neck. The feel of him, so close to you, yet so far away, was making your knees weak, and you clung to him for support. “But I’m not going to have you if I can’t have all of you, not anymore, not when I know what it’s like to be loved by you. I can’t do that to myself. And I’m not going to do that to you.”
“Bucky,” you moaned as his hands roamed the surface of your body, seeking any ounce of uncovered flesh he could get his hands on. His touch was soft, light enough to never be satisfying, always leaving you craving more.
“I love you, doll,” he said, kissing your skin, “and if you can tell me you forgive me, that you still love me, wanna be with me again,” he sucked and nibbled on your neck, the sensation of his mouth on your pulsepoint almost sending you over the edge on its own, “then I’ll give you anything you fucking want. But if you can’t, if you’re not ready yet, or you don’t think you’ll ever be,” he let go, pulling away from you and leaving you longing for him, “then I’m not going to torture myself with something I can’t have, or put you in a position where you end up regretting what we did.”
He watched you, expectantly, waiting for you to say something, to give him an answer that would either bring you back to each other once and for all, or close and lock the door between you both for good, but you had nothing for him.
“I don’t know,” you whispered.
Bucky’s face shuttered, the passion so recently evident in his eyes vanishing into their depths. He nodded once. “Let me know when you make up your mind, doll,” he said, leaning down to kiss the crown of your head before retreating to the solitude of his room, the sound of the door shutting behind you echoing through the apartment with its finality.
You managed to hold your tears until you were back in your room, sobbing into your pillow in the weak hope his super soldier hearing wouldn’t be able to pick up on the sound through the apartment’s thin walls. You let yourself weep, wondering how many more times Bucky Barnes was going to be the reason for your tears.
But you couldn’t blame him this time, your stupid logical reasoning told you. This one was on you. He’d been honest with what he wanted, what he needed, but you hadn’t been willing, or able, to give him what he’d asked for in return. He hadn’t been willing to take from you unless he knew for certain you were sure.
The dinging of your phone caught your attention, and your heart leapt with joy when you saw a notification indicating new texts from Nat. Technically, you weren’t supposed to have contact with residents of the Tower while you were undercover, but you were willing to put that aside in the surge of happiness that rushed through you at the thought of talking to your friend.
Natsassin🖤🩰🔪: So
Natsassin🖤🩰🔪: Don’t freak
Natsassin🖤🩰🔪: But I have news
Natsassin🖤🩰🔪: About Carthage

Natsassin🖤🩰🔪: Are you fucking Barnes rn?
Natsassin🖤🩰🔪: This is serious tea

I want to be babied when I'm sick. I'm so pathetic when I have a runny nose or even a little cough. Truly embarrassing. But I hope you enjoy!~!
SUMMARY:
Sitting in bed all pitiful... Your nose red and your eyes puffy... Ruggie is a firm believer of sweating out the sick. So he offers to help you with that. Too bad you’re too weak to actually tell him no.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Grim went ahead to attend classes without you. To all that inquired about your whereabouts; the Ramshackle Prefect was currently releasing toxic spores that would kill anyone who got too close. So, he had placed you in quarantine to protect the student body. The truth was that you had come down with a horrific cold. You kept brushing it off as a scratchy throat and a migraine, but over the weekend was what solidified that you should stay in the dorm and recover. While brushing Grim free of old fur, you sneezed. The monster was left covered in yellowish snot that clung to the back of his round body and his striped ribbon. With an expression of horror, you apologized to the monster and offered to give him a bath, only to sneeze again. This time, on his face.
He did not forgive you.
And he probably won’t for a long time.
Unbeknownst to you, a ‘caretaker’ would be arriving shortly. An accidental courtesy of Grim telling a fluffy eared blond that you were a ticking time-bomb of disease. You wrapped yourself up in a thick blanket, now dressed in a fresh pair of sweatpants and a baggy shirt. You felt miserable after your cold shower to cool down from your growing fever. But instead of sweltering and sweating, you were now shivering with chills. While you tried to rest in bed with a lukewarm cup of water clutched in your palms… There was a knock from downstairs.
At first you ignored it, assuming that maybe you had misheard the wind shaking the rickety dorm. After only a minute passed there was another round of knocks. A playful voice called out to you from outside, pressing hopefully for you to let him in. It was only 10am. Having a visitor at this time was highly unusual, so you assumed that this was just a fever-induced hallucination that you were bored enough to play along with.
You left the comfort of your bed, placing your water on your nightstand before trekking down to the lobby. There was another series of knocks as you tiredly reached for the door handle. After opening it, your eyes widened and you quickly sniffled away a string of snot.
Standing on your porch was the droopy-eyed hyena you had grown fond of. He wasn’t wearing his uniform. Ruggie had dressed himself in baby-blue, baggy denim jeans that looked a size too big with ripped out knees. Black and white sneakers, and a black sweatshirt with his Magishift jersey number over his heart printed in a shimmering gold. “Awww, poor thing caught a cold?” Ruggie teased with a snicker following as his eyes scanned over you.
You didn’t want him to see you like this. You gave the beastman an awkward laugh and hugged the blanket around you, continuing to sniffle with the fear of snot trickling down your face. “I think it’s just from the weather changing so fast.” You came up with your own theory as to how you had fallen ill. You truthfully weren’t too sure how you had gotten sick. You avoided his gaze, listening to him snicker again.
“You look really bad, but don’t worry,” In his raised left hand was a bulging plastic bag. “I got you some stuff from Sam’s.” He purred softly and gently pressed his shoulder into you, herding you away from the door so he could enter Ramshackle. You allowed him and watched as he closed the door with a light kick. Here Ruggie Bucchi was; inside of your bacteria covered dorm. “Am I even allowed to come in? Grim said you’re on some sort of ‘quarantine’?” He asked jokingly with his half lidded eyes searched the foyer for any other signs of life. The ghosts were absent due to you complaining about a headache and you wanted to be alone for the day. And thankfully they were very respectful of your wishes. “Grim is just saying that… I have a normal human cold. Sneezing, super tired… The usual.” You responded with a light roll of your eyes. “Anyways, did you need something?” You croaked out and sniffed away a trail of snot with a frown.
Maybe the real reason he’s here is to pay back a favor you’re too exhausted to remember? “What? Am I not allowed to check on you?” Ruggie asked with a snort as he kicked off his shoes near the door. And in absolute honesty, Ruggie was the last person you would expect to see.
The plastic bag was placed on the coffee table and he began rummaging through it with you standing behind him. “Missing a day won’t tank my grades so I came over. I just wanted to see you.” He shrugged as he pulled out a box of tissues and turned to hand them to you. “Here, you shouldn’t be standing up right now. You look like you might fall over any second now.” Ruggie spoke with a tone of concern as you approached to collect the box of soft tissues.
They were the good kind too. Not the cheap papery ones, these were definitely the more expensive ones. You just couldn’t imagine Ruggie spending his own money on something like this for you. You whispered a soft ‘thank you’ as you peeled the box’s cardboard flap away. With a sniffle, you pulled out a tissue to wipe away the clear mucus running down your nostrils and threatening to roll over your lips. “I don’t want you to get sick.” You whimpered as a bead of sweat rolled down your temple, and you wiped your nose clean quickly. Ruggie’s ears twitched again as he shrugged again with a sly grin, now standing before you with his arms crossed over his chest. “Beastmen don’t contract human illnesses. You sneezin’ on me won’t get me sick. It is a lil’ gross though.” He snickered and you frowned with a shake of your head. “Seriously…” You muttered, noticing how he remained unshaken by your sickness. “I’m serious too. I won’t get sick. I wouldn’t have come over if it was a risk.” Ruggie assured you.
The hyena has more side hustles than you have fingers and toes. As if he would risk a potential paycheck to take care of you.
Which means he was being serious. He really won’t contract a human cold.
His large sharp teeth were on display as he smiled wide and leaned in close. “Sorry I wasn’t here sooner, did you eat yet?” He asked softly with his hands gripping the edges of your thick blanket. You haven’t eaten yet, you just didn’t have the appetite. Your silence caused the beastman to hum with discontent as he began to pull on the blanket, dragging you along with him. “Upstairs. I’ll make you something to eat.” He offered as you sheepishly looked at the bag on the coffee table. “Ruggie-” You wanted to decline the offer, but he was already pulling you towards the staircase. “Up. I ain’t takin’ no from someone who looks like they can hardly blow their own nose.” He teased as your face began to burn from embarrassment. With one final look to the hyena, you slowly marched back up to your dorm room to wait for him.
xxx
The hyena sat beside your bed in a wooden chair, blowing on a spoonful of soup with a small frown. He had discarded his sweatshirt at the foot of your bed. Now, sitting in a form-fitting white tee-shirt with a thin gold chain around his neck, he spoonfed you. As if you were too weak to do it yourself.
It was just you, and Ruggie ‘The Most Qualified M.F On Campus’ Bucchi alone in Ramshackle while everyone else continued learning. “Open.” He instructed and you obeyed with a small sniffle. Here he was, easing the cooled soup into your mouth as you sat up in bed, layered in multiple blankets to keep yourself from shivering.
The soup was warm and salty, loaded with vegetables and smooth, steaming broth. He claimed it was from a can, but the flavor didn’t compare to anything store bought. It was obvious he didn’t want to admit he took so long downstairs cooking for you. You had slapped a cooling patch on your forehead to help your fever, courtesy of Ruggie. He told you to rub some sort of minty gel on your chest, but you refused once he tried to wrestle your shirt off to do it for you. He had lit a small essential oils candle to fill your room with the smell of eucalyptus, claiming it would help you get well faster. And after you finished eating, he instructed you to bathe so he could wash your clothes and sheets free of germs.
It was a bit much, at least to you it was. You were used to taking care of yourself when you were sick, so having Ruggie practically coddle you was almost intimidating. Was he expecting something? Maybe he really was returning a favor that you had forgotten.
The anxiety of believing Ruggie may have some sort of ulterior motive killed your appetite and you nervously turned your face away when he tried to feed you another spoonful. “Not hungry? You only ate half the bowl.” He sounded dejected as you shook your head with a sniffle. “I think it's just ‘cause I’m sick… I’ll eat more later.” You wanted to eat it all, but your stomach couldn’t take anymore of his delicious cooking. “Sorry Ruggie.” You apologized quietly as he handed you the box of tissues so you could wipe your nose. The hyena began to pout as he placed the bowl aside, looking you over before his eyes lit up. “Wait, I have a perfect idea. And hear me out on it.” He began to smirk as you tilted your head in confusion.
“Why don’t we get you to sweat the sick out?” He suggested casually as he grabbed at your blankets, slowly pulling them away from you. Sweat it out? You’ve heard of the concept before, but it sounded more like a myth than an actual factual thing that people did. And wouldn’t that make you even more exhausted? “Ruggie, I don’t think I have energy to stand… Let alone exercise…” You were preparing to complain as the blankets were nudged away and Ruggie moved from his chair with a faint blush to his cheeks and that cheeky grin. There was a snicker as the weight on your mattress shifted. “Nah, you just have to lay there. I’ll help you.” He cooed sweetly, and your eyes widened.
That’s what he means by sweat.
You nervously scooted away from Ruggie, feeling your body become hot as he closed in on you. “Wait-” You weakly tried pushing him away as the hyena crawled on top of you. He began nipping at your jawline, causing you to flinch with another weak attempt to push him back. “No… Wait- Come on I’m sick…” You whined but Ruggie didn’t seem too keen on listening to you say ‘no’. “Promise you’ll feel waaay better after.” His words were like sweet candies. You ate them up in your feverish state as you began to relax against the mattress. Far more docile now as he began to yank your sweatpants down your thighs. “I’ll fuck you nice and hard, til’ you’re a limp little puddle.” He mumbled against your throat, kissing and sucking along the skin as you pawed at his white shirt with a gasp.
A more animalistic sound was pulled out of you as he dragged his tongue along your jugular, and you could feel him smiling as he rested on top of you. “And then, I’ll dump you in the bath.” He snickered as his voice lowered, and he kissed you. It was both gentle, and lustful as he rested his weight on top of you. Flattening your sweaty body into the mattress. “I got these fancy bath salts.” Kiss. “And they’ll help too.” Kiss. “And,” kiss. “I bought you some cold patches.” Kiss. Each of Ruggie’s kisses left you breathless as he spoke, telling you about the different treatments he had snagged from Sam’s shop. All for you.
You wondered if maybe he had some fantasy about taking care of someone else. It seemed out of place for him to be so caring. But all you knew about Ruggie was what he showed on the surface. After all…
Isn’t he technically taking advantage of you?
The thought returned and you tried pushing Ruggie away again. You didn’t think this would be a good idea. Truth be told, you weren’t even sure you liked Ruggie that way. You thought he was cute and had a certain charm that couldn’t be matched by the other boys on campus. But there were times he came off as a total sleaze. “Why’ya keep pushin’ me away?” He asked playfully between another round of breath snatching kisses. A hand had slipped between your thighs and nimble fingers snaked into your panties. “You nervous about somethin’?” The question was teasing as the beastman began slowly rubbing circles against your clit with the calloused pad of his middle finger. His mouth abandoned yours and returned to sucking at the flesh of your throat. Leaving you to writhe and moan beneath him as you attempted to gather the energy to create a coherent sentence.
Your body was shaking as you found yourself craving more and more of his intimate touch. You hadn’t made room for sexual advances since coming to Twisted Wonderland. So being eased into it like this felt intimidating, but far too pleasant to actually stop Ruggie. You expected sexy mood lighting, and to be much healthier. “It’s… It feels kinda scary.” Your tone trembled, masking an attempt to fight back a moan. Ruggie’s skilled fingers began to speed up while growing more and more amused by your reactions. The hyena let out a soft growl that vibrated against the skin of your pulse point, causing you to shiver in excitement. You had been the only person to ever touch that sensitive bud between your thighs, and having someone else do it was an entirely new experience.
You could feel sweat starting to line your skin. Sticky, and making your clothes and Ruggie’s weight uncomfortable. You wanted to ask him for a moment to collect yourself, but that idea was forced into the back of your mind when you felt him slip a finger inside of you. Your thighs trembled as he pumped the digit in and out, curling it up into your gummy walls as he pulled his mouth away from your neck. “Sorry, I don’t have a condom on me. That’s cool right? You don’t care do you?” His voice was soft and sly, as if he was expecting you to mishear him. Ruggie lifted himself up onto his knees while slipping a second finger into your now soaking cunt. You couldn’t stop your hips from bucking up towards his hand as you struggled to answer him. Of course you care about him using a condom. You could risk getting pregnant if he didn’t.
But the words never formed as he continued to finger your hole, his other hand began yanking your panties down your legs along with your thick sweatpants. You wanted to tell him that you couldn’t go on without one. But the idea of having sex raw… It was enticing. You’ve seen it in porn, but experiencing it yourself would be much, much different. “Let’s do it raw okay? I’ll make you feel so sooo good that you’ll wanna fuck like that everytime.” He snickered and slowly eased his fingers from your hole. They were coated in your juices as he yanked your sweatpants off of you and hastily discarded them. Your chest heaved for air as Ruggie began to unzip his jeans, revealing his erection. Leaking at the flushed tip, and precum dripped onto the skin of your thighs as he started to rearrange your exhausted body to his liking.
You were moved to lay on your side. A leg was lifted as Ruggie slid comfortably in between your parted thighs to straddle one, and hoist the other over his shoulder. “You aren’t a virgin are you?” He asked, his tone sounding a bit more serious now as your eyes widened and you shook your head. You lifted your sweaty hand to push at his chest as he sighed and knocked your hand away. “Stop being so nervous then. I won’t make it hurt.” He smiled wide as you glanced between your parted thighs with your eyes falling half-lidded. He misinterpreted your head shake for a response. It was you trying to refuse the situation all together. Will sex really make you feel better? Was he making this up?
It was scary to think that you would be losing your virginity to Ruggie while you were weak with a fever. “Don’t overthink it.” The hyena purred as the round tip began to breach your sensitive hole.
Feeling the slow stretch of his cock filling you up made your head spin until you felt dizzy. You let out a few short and soft gasps as Ruggie rolled his hips slowly to slide deeper and deeper inside of your tight walls. Every roll of his hips made the velvet lining constrict around the foreign intrusion. Squeezing. Sucking. Throbbing. All were alien feelings as each breath you took felt shorter and shorter. Your thighs were becoming sore from being parted for so long, and you couldn’t fight back the moans falling from your lips with each roll of the beastmans hips. “Ohhhh fuck, you weren’t a virgin right?” He asked, a hint of guilt lined his tone but you were becoming too overwhelmed to answer.
Your face was burning as a string of drool began to roll down your chin. Eyes rolling up into your head as you began to flutter around the hyena’s thick cock massaging your velvety walls. You didn’t have the strength to correct him as he grunted from above you, a small shaky laugh followed. “Guess it doesn’t matter now, ain’t that right, Prefect?” He asked with a snicker following as he began to pump in and out of you. His hips slapping against yours as he hugged your leg against his chest. You couldn’t stop your moans from flowing out of your mouth, whining and moaning as his cock massaged your insides in ways your fingers never could. You clawed at the blankets beneath you, at one point you attempted to crawl away from the beastman as the pleasure started to overwhelm your senses. But as his thrusts become rougher you feel weak once more.
The tip smacked into a soft bunch of nerves deep within you that you hadn’t once felt yourself. A string of soft shrieks poured out of you as he began to abuse the bundle inside of you.
Hitting it over. And over. And over.
The abuse wasn’t something you could take much more of, listening to Ruggie moan and spill curses from his tongue made you lightheaded as you joined him. With the sound of the bed creaking, the wet smacks of skin meeting, your body was on fire as you convulsed around Ruggie’s cock. Cumming hard enough to leave you shaking as the beastman continued to pound into you. Your weakened form struggled to get away, to escape the overstimulation. You could feel him throbbing deep inside of you as his thrusts grew sloppy and hurried. And with a quick stutter of his hips; Ruggie came deep inside of you.
You fell limp against the creaking mattress as he pulsated against your tightened walls. He had come so much, you could feel his seed overflowing down your thighs. It made your toes curl tight as he loosened his tight hug on your leg. You were coated in sweat, feeling as if you would faint at any given second. Your panting mixed with Ruggie’s, filling the space with a lustful harmony as he slowly pulled out of you with a whimper. You absolutely need a bath now. But Ruggie was right, you did feel a little better after that. You might need to sweat it out again. Just a few more rounds while school was still in session.

He doesn’t mean to let his gaze linger as long as it does, honestly. Simon is nothing if not observant, a quick glance at every patron who enters the door, and you truly are a sight to behold. You’re always stunning, no doubt about it, but something about the dim bar lights and how dangerously low cut your dress is has him damn near panting like a bitch in heat beneath his mask.
It’s like a never-ending game of tag between the two of you. You’ll make subtle flirtatious comments, he’ll make equally suggestive remarks in return; neither moves towards home base, tagbacks are allowed. Sometimes play stalls for a few days, you dance around each other in silence, unwilling to be the first to step out of turn, but it always resumes as quickly as it tapers.
You’ve been a bit off as of late, though. Simon winks at you in passing, you give him a curt nod as you walk by. He compliments you, you offer a hushed “thanks” and leave it at that. He so much as makes eye contact with you, and you’re immediately casting your gaze downward. You avoid him as often as you can now, and it puts him in a tailspin. Forbidden fruit and such, it’s kind of hot that you’re suddenly acting like he doesn’t faze you. On the other hand, though, it’s frustrating. Has he done something to upset you? He loves seeing you get all hot under the collar just for him, and it’s maddening to have no idea why you’re acting this way. He’s determined to find out where you stand, what it is that caused the sudden switch.
Drink in hand, Simon watches from his darkened corner as you down your first and second drinks with ease. He bides his time, swirling the pinch of bourbon left in his short glass until all the ice has melted. You’ll step away from your friends soon enough, and the second you do, he seizes his opportunity. It’s rare enough for him to get you alone, and he’s not stupid enough to pass up the split second he’ll need to make it happen.
Clinging to the shadows, he slinks along the wall with almost frightening stealth, slipping into the restroom just behind you. Verifying you’re the only person in there, he snags the stop from beneath the sink and jams it under the door. No interruptions, not now.
He patiently awaits the telltale tear of paper, leaning back against the countertop housing a pair of sinks. His arms cross over his chest, a stance he often assumes to look bigger, more imposing, more menacing. Simon’s noticed the way your thighs clench and you have to stop yourself from drooling when he takes to that particular pose in front of you. It would be downright irresponsible for him to deprive you of whatever it makes you feel when he’s trying to find his way back into those good graces.
You step out of the stall, adjusting your purse on your shoulder. The second you spot Simon, you freeze in place, and he swears he can hear your heart raging against your ribcage. Surprise widens your eyes and furrows your brows as he offers a cocked eyebrow, tilting his head just a hair.
“Lieutenant Riley,” you breathe, almost a question, pausing a moment before saying, “What are you doing here?”
“Here in the bar or here in the bathroom?”
“Either, really.”
“It’s the closest bar to base, love. Crawling with grunts, if ya didn’t notice.”
You roll your eyes at that, and there’s a strong urge for Simon to spend his entire night making them roll back over and over and over again. It’s not his fault, really; there’s just something about you that tests his resolve.
“As for the latter,” he continues. “Just wanted a private word with you, ‘less you’re gonna keep runnin’ away from me.”
“I‘m not running, sir.”
“You’re avoiding me; same thing.”
“No, I’m not.” He scoffs dryly. You start spitting out bullshit excuses for why you stay away from him, and he shrugs, indifferent to anything that isn’t the truth. It’s genuinely humorous that you think he can’t smell a lie from a mile away. He can’t help but chuckle.
You look flustered, perturbed. It’s cute, but it does make Simon feel a bit guilty.
“Sergeant, don’t think for a second that I didn’t notice you can’t stand to even be in the same room as me anymore. You used to bite back, used to bark first, and now you wanna act all demure and proper when I talk to you? You can hardly manage to look me in the eye. What did I do?”
The twinge of hurt in his tone doesn’t sit well with him. It borders on pathetic, and he’s praying to a god he doesn’t even believe in that you’re still too stunned by his presence to hear it, too. To your credit, if you do, you certainly don’t acknowledge it.
“With all due respect, I don’t think this is an appropriate place for that conversation, Lieutenant. My friends are waiting for me.”
“I don’t give a fuck about your friends; I’m right here. Let’s talk it out so shit can stop being weird, yeah?”
“It’s not weird, sir. I just - “
“No excuses, doll. Spit it out.”
“Will you - “
“C’mon, love. Tell me what I did wrong.”
“You - “
“Cat got your tongue, huh?”
“Fine!” you shout, throwing your arms out. “You want to know what the fucking problem is, Simon? You want to know why I stay away from you? Well, here you fucking go: I can’t stand being around you because I am so fucking head over heels for you, and I know you don’t feel the same.”
You clap a hand over your mouth, and Simon can see that you’re positively mortified. He goaded you into verbalizing how you really feel, and it turns his face a violent shade of pink.
“You what?”
“I…” You bite your lip, anxious. Your eyes avoid his at all costs. “I know it’s inappropriate, sir. It’s just a silly little crush, and keeping my distance is helping me work through it.”
“Don’t you fuckin’ dare.”
His arms drop, feet moving before he can think better of it. The space between you is crushed in a stride and a half, and he’s peeling up his mask and slotting his mouth against yours almost immediately. It’s all teeth and tongue, want, need; searing and heated and almost animalistic. He’s been waiting ages, it seems, and now, the game has come to an end. You won, and it’s a scarce occurrence, but he’s glad to take the loss.
When you break from him for air, he laughs, pressing another kiss against your hairline.
“I’m a sick fuck ‘cause I like when you ignore me. Rather you don't anymore, though.”
