Hi Pinky
What Make Strickler So Special for you?
For me Jim and Claire what make them Special "
is the fact that Jim Show more emotion he wouldn't be afraid to shad a tear or two he is very emotional Person. as Someone who tend to show more emotion then most males i can relate to it. and i feel Like he is Very Special.
Claire is Probably the Darkness inside her heart , her Losing control over emotions and her hard time accepting reality. while also think the Worst things Possible is Something that i found really close to home.
That's a pretty good question! And I like you sharing your reasons for liking Jim and Claire, which are definitely some of mine too!
I can't limit my reasons for liking Strickler to one, so I'll give you my top five:
I like his complexity, he's never portrayed as black and white. He's morally grey, even when he reforms he doesn't have a complete personality change, he's still himself.
I love Strickler's dynamic with Jim. I love how they go from teacher and student, to enemies to reluctant allies, to mentor and student, then friends, and finally to family and father/son. I appriciate RoTT ONLY for consolidating their relationship a little more, and I have every reason to believe in the new timeline they'll only get closer then ever before.
I enjoy the development of Stricklake, even though it has its ups and downs because I am a shameless monster lover myself and support Barb 100%. I also appreciate that Barbara and Strickler have things to work through and it's not instantly fixed.
I like Strickler's stupid puns and sense of humour. He makes me laugh so much with his stupidness at times. (his accent does NOT help).
This is what really did it for me though: he has WINGS! As someone obsessed with dragons that was the icing on the cake for me lol.

I just realized that in the Unbecoming episode...everyone dies.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Literally everyone.
This is worse than the Eternal Night episode in s3 because Gunmar took everyone by surprise. He is at full power. He has his army.
Killahead Bridge is opened. Gunmar, Bular and their armies are wreaking havoc, Arcadia in flames, everyone dead or dying and the Amulet of Daylight in pieces. How could it get any darker?
Oh right
Tumblr media
Jim, completely non-powered, raising his sword and charging at Gunmar and his hordes in a suicidal Last Stand. Things do not look bright for him.
Gunmar won here. He would have started the Eternal Night and no one could have stopped him.
Jim saved everyone's ass in season 1.

My top villains (from dumb to smart)
Warning: This post is not intended to offend anyone, the author is just sharing his observations
In this post, I decided to make up the top villains of trollhunters from the dumbest to the smartest (as for me, such tops are much more interesting than the placement of characters by strength, because in most cases you already know who will be in first place). The actions of villains from trollhunters only will be evaluated here.
10) Morgana:
Tumblr media
Her main problem is that she does using her arsenal of spells on maximum and instead of attacking with shots of magical energy from a safe distance, she creates small energy daggers and goes into close combat, although this makes no sense (it is as if gunmar, fighting with his sword, tried not to hit the opponent with a sharp blade, but tried to hit him with the hilt of the sword). Her second fatal mistake is that she gave Angor freedom and was genuinely surprised when he betrayed her and decided to take revenge for everything she did to him (What prevented her from taking Angor's soul again so that he would not betray her at the most crucial moment?). And can someone explain to me why she didn't kill Merlin at the end of the third season? That is, she just tossed him from side to side, throughout the series she said how she wanted to kill him, and then just left him alive and went to deal with the hunter?
9) Otto:
Tumblr media
For some reason, he sincerely believed that Gunmar cared about changelings and that Gunmar would lead them to a bright future. But what a surprise! It turns out Gunmar didn't care about changelings from the beginning, well, yes, he never hid his disdain for them. Someone will call it loyalty, but for me it's dibilism when you betray the current head of the Order of Janus and instead of taking the vacant throne yourself, you kindly waited for the tyrant who eventually used you.
8) Bular:
Tumblr media
As for me, Bular is one of the most impulsive characters in the whole series. The most striking example is when in the second series, literally in the middle of the day, in a place where there could be unwanted witnesses, he decided to attack a new hunter and, as expected, was defeated. He also continues to underestimate his opponent, even when Jim killed stalking, it is not surprising that with such disregard for the enemy, he died before all the antagonists.
7) Goblin from the episode about creepslayerz:
Tumblr media
He appeared relatively little on the screen compared to other villains, but during this time he, firstly, set Steve and Eli on Jim, and secondly, led the Creepslayerz on a false trail, thereby preventing them from finding out about their plans ahead of time.
6) Gunmar:
Tumblr media
My main problem with Gunmar is that without asking for any proof, he believed all the nonsense that the Dictatus told him. I also think that Gunmar should be aware of the technical superiority of people (at least from Strickler's presentation) and that is why, instead of sending changelings to intercept at least a couple of warheads, he arranges their genocide. It's really funny that in the end Morgana needed a changeling to free him, and I'm just wondering what he would have done if Nomura and Strickler hadn't been in town? (I think he would catch a random person on the street and give him free troll language lessons)
5) Nomura:
Tumblr media
She doesn't rank higher in the rankings just because she underestimated Jim in the first season. To be honest, I can't remember if she has had similar mistakes before, and compared to previous places, she is much less impulsive.
4) Angor:
Tumblr media
As for me, Angor from the first season is a reference villain, almost all of whose actions are thoughtful and balanced decisions, for example, he reasonably did not trust Strickler and his promise that he would let him go as soon as trollhunter will die, so he did not immediately kill Jim, but only intimidated him so that our troll hunter had more reasons to make a deal with Angor and steal infernacopula. Well, the most striking example is that Angor will first study his enemy, and only then go into battle. if they hadn't made a cartoon villain out of him at the end of the first season, who, instead of immediately stabbing his defeated opponent, rolls up a long monologue about how weak our new hunter is without his friends, then in this top you Angor would have stood much higher (but despite this, he is still one of my favorite characters).
3) Usurna:
Tumblr media
You might reasonably ask why she stands so high in the top if she supported Gunmar on an equal footing with Otto? To which I will answer that unlike Otto, who was looking forward to the return of the cruel lord, Usurna tried her best not to let Gunmar escape from the dark lands and joined him only when she knew for sure that he had returned, in fact, she simply chose the strongest, and therefore the winning side. And I think it's worth admitting that no matter how mean a bitch she is, she can reasonably reason that by sacrificing a pair of cubs of Kruber, she will thereby delay Gunmar's desire to attack her people for a sufficiently long time, and if the dark lord still falls, she can say that her children were simply kidnapped (which was common at that time (if we recall the background of the creation of changelings) so no matter how you look at it, in any case, it remains a winner.
2) Strickler:
Tumblr media
(who could doubt that he would be so high in the ranking) I am still sure that he helped in the liberation of Gunmar only out of fear of Bular, because as soon as Bular fell, Strickler immediately took the vacant throne, leaving Gunmar in the dark lands. Strickler, as well as Angor, will not be the first to rush into battle, he will most likely just shift all the dangerous and dirty work to someone else, since the status allows. Also, he always plans an escape plan if something goes wrong, if he hadn't created a magical connection with Barbara then he wouldn't have had any leverage on Jim and therefore the hunter wouldn't have had any reason to protect Strickler from Angor. He is not in the first place only because instead of hiring a hired sniper who would quickly kill a young hunter and left, no! instead, he awakens an ancient killer who, if he can take the ring, will kill his unfortunate master first thing. Although if he also awakened Angor in order to strengthen his status as the head of the Order, then there are no complaints, but due to the fact that in the series itself Strickler said that he brought Angor only to kill Jim, then alas it was too unjustified a risk
1) Dictatious:
Tumblr media
To begin with, he was able to survive in the dark lands for several centuries, so he was also able to become the right hand of Gunmar himself, who clearly respects only the strong, and the Dictatus, to put it mildly, is a so-so warrior. Further, after the Dictatus lost his sight and became virtually useless to Gunmar, he was still able to remain his most trusted subordinate (yes, this whole topic with Morgan's visions looks ridiculous to me, given that the Dictatus had no evidence of the truthfulness of his words, but most importantly, it worked). Also, the Dictatus has never had an insane devotion to Gunmar, he joined him only because otherwise he would not have survived, which is why he so easily switches to the side of the hunter and at the end of the series remains to chill in Toby's house.

TOA HEADCANONS
uhmm
idk…
i have a lot
but here’s some head canons!!🥰😘
no they’re not organized.
i’m not really adding any ROTT hcs because i haven’t watched that in 2 years…i’m too scared to watch it again.
jim is bi or pan 100%
when toby was 10-13 he would literally go weeks without showers..
Bular isn’t straight either. he’s like under the bi umbrella.
dictatious is gay because like…yea
Gunmar slept with men because women were scarce.
blinky and dictatious both have audhd.
claire isn’t straight either. nobody in toa are straight…
angor called morgana mom more than 4004838 times.
angor is unlabeled.
gunmar and dictatious had a thing while in the darklands… but when they got out gunmar like got colder towards diccy max obvi.
when james sr left it took barbara years to try to get back into dating. like she started to date again when jim was 13.
y’all remember that one gumm-gumm troll who was crying when the nyarlagroths died? his name is jeram. literally sounds like how it looks.
anyway jeram and bular had a “connection” before the killahead bridge battle..iyk;)
bular can actually cook really good troll food (he makes really good…fleshy meals…if your a troll..)
dictatious knew angor rot in the past and they were actually really good friends. prolly more.
douxie used to trip over his staff many times cause he would all ways forget to put it in his bracelet thingy.
Bular was forced(by strickler) to wear a winter coat, pants, boots that were made for him, and a lil beanie when it was snowing outside even though he was used to the snow.
if bular knew what it was he’d definitely play electric guitar.
when given catnip, bular and gunmar(or any other gumm-gumm’s) will go crazy😪
jim hates his full name(James Lake Jr) because he was literally named after his dum dum dad.
toby has a full drawer of phones.
claire used to be a wolf/galaxy girl in elementary or middle school.
steve looked…questionable in middle school.
bular missed jeram every day.
gunmar actually cried alone about his sons death. if you caught him or anyone for that matter he’d kill you.
if bular was human in wizards he’d be some angsty teen.
bular would most definitely listen to queen, korn, mindless self indulgence, and MCR.
jim DOES listen to queen. that’s all he listens too.
jim would cry to the song beautiful boy by john lennon because it’d remind him of his dad in the past.
gunmar was good but tough to bular.
bular would have a love hate relationship with ice cream. he’d hate chocolate but love vanilla.
angor did the whip and nae nae once.
dictatious had a pet goblin who’d he take care of…a lot.. till gunmar ‘accidentally’ stepped on it. diccy was crushed.
dictatious and angor would definitely binge watch steven universe.
THATS ALL!! for now😈😈😈

Okay this is rather random and I'm making this while I'm like half asleep so if I ramble I apologize i just like to get silly lil thoughts out
I e seen some theories regarding Usurna's relations with the gum-gums and her potential relations with Gunmar and Bular (such as her mabye being blood related to atleast one of them) for example her being Gunmar's daughter because she has certain traits simaler to Gum-Gums. Like her face shape and eye color.
I personally like the idea.of her being part gum-gum for one reason or another but I don't think she's related to Gunmar or Bular
I think and here me out on this
she's related to this guy
Tumblr media
Orlagk
I have a few reasons as to why, some of them are very loose but still there reasons
1. They boy have red eyes
This is one of the weaker points . Every other Krubera has green eyes, but not Usurna. You could argue that it was just a design choice to make her look different or something but I mean maybe the more reddish eye color was something she picked up for her dad
2. Hands
Most the other Gum-Gums have claws,. including Gunmar and Bular.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
However Orlagk does NOT have clawed hands
Tumblr media
He has normal hands with black nails. Which means if he hooked up with a Krubera there would be a smaller chance of them getting clawed hands like Bular unlike if Gunmar hooked up with Krubera because genetics
Now you might be wondering. If she's related to Orlagk why would she help Gunmar cause wouldn't that mean he killed her father?
I don't have a very good answer for that besides that mabye she wouldn't know that's really her father or that she just didn't care for him and didn't mind if he died (I Mean Orlagk is called the OPPRESSOR so I highly doubt he was like by any of the other tribe leaders. Frankly if that was my dad I wouldn't say anything either). Given her character and status both could make sense
Why would the Krubera let her rule if she was half Gum-Gum?
This would also play on her not knowing, but if she was hypothetically related to him I doubt her mother would have said anything. A Krubera queen sleeping with Orlagk the oppressor? The next heir to the throne being related to a warlord? Yeah that's not a good image. Either that or she just didn't say anything herself.
Anyways that's my silly little rant thank you for your time 👍

Jim in the Darklands looking for Enrique: "Ugh, what are they feeding you guys?"
A potion made by a coundrum troll name Dril the Discover. A mad wizard and cundrum that worked closely with Orlagk. His goal is to make spies for Orlagk to spy on human wizards. He came up with an idea of changelings. With blood, sweat and lots of sacrifice, he made a whelp and a human baby connected using the baby and whelps' hair. Dril made a potion that connected the two. The side effects for the human are they don't age. Dril made the perfect potion! But he had to sacrifice so much power to make this potion work. He eventually drained his power and died around the time Morgana became the Mother of Monsters.
Morgana made a simpler version of the potation for Gunmar. They used Dril's very first successful Changeling to try to kill King Arthur and free Bular. His name was Janus.
In the Darklands, Dictatious was in charge of the scrolls for the potion Dril made, keeping it safe until Morgana is free once again. Once Gunmar fell and the babies where safe, he decided to destroy the ingredients once and for all. He burns the scrolls. Never telling anyone about the original potion.

Hi! Here's a slight angsty idea. What if Claire was kidnapped as baby and raised to believe she was Morgana's daughter?
In an effort to make the lie convincing, and as a side affect to make sure Ophelia and Javier can't find their daughter easily, Morgana changed her name to Fontaine.
As for NotEnrique, let's just say Jim's the older sibling in this AU since the Nuñez parents didn't want to risk having another kid, only for a repeat to happen.
Jim is still the Trollhunter though.
Oh, another angsty one!
So, Morgana feels she needs an actual magic user in addition to the changelings to help her get out of her imprisonment. She decides that the best solution is to raise one herself (well, kinda).
A search for a baby with a good shadow magic aptitude leads her to Claire. The Janus Order has never gotten in trouble kidnapping babies so it's not that problematic here. The only difference is that there is no substitute baby, so Ophelia and Javier start the search frantically.
Morgana picks two changelings to act as Claire's parents for the public but she commands them to treat the baby as her own daughter (basically, Claire is kind of the Janus Order's princess in this AU). Morgana communicates with her 'daughter' either through possessing one of the 'parents' or via dreams. Claire started learning shadow magic early on and has made good progress.
When Claire is older, she starts to question how Morgana, who has been sealed for centuries, can be her mother, but Morgana invents the plausible lie that Claire is the creation of her magic and the two are connected to the point that if Morgana dies, Claire will disappear..
Initially, Claire and her fake family live outside Arcadia to throw off Javier and Ophelia, but they move back when Claire is 14. Morgana initiates it so that Claire can watch Strickler's actions (as she absolutely trusts Claire and has doubts about Stricklander).
As for Jim and his relationship with Enrique, in this AU Barbara had another relationship that gave her a second son (and another bastard ran away, this time when the kid was only a month old). Enrique is older in this AU, he's five by the beginning of the Trollhunters. The switch happened when Enrique was only nine months old, so basically Jim has had NotEnrique as a brother for more than four years. Jim suspects nothing, only thinking that his little bro is too spoiled and annoying. NotEnrique, on the other hand, has gotten dangerously attached to both Jim and Barbara.
Claire is under a lot of stress as Morgana forces her to practice her magic which is based on negativity. She has only two outlets - Papa Skull music and theatre. That's why she joins the school play.
When Jim finds the amulet, there are three people from the enemy's camp who learn about it - Claire, who notices it during the lesson, NotEnrique, who sees it at home, and Strickler, who learns much like in the canon.
Claire reports to her mother about the amulet and gets an order to seize it before anyone else (as Morgana wants to use it as a bargaining chip). Claire decides to seduce Jim (not aware that he's already head over heels for her).
NotEnrique, on the other hand, is deadset on getting the amulet from Jim before Bular learns who is the new Trollhunter. He wants to keep his family safe from the mess.
Strickler also wants to get the amulet. He could use NotEnrique for that, but somehow he doubts that NotEnrique will give him the amulet and not get all the credit for himself. So Strickler comes to the Lakes' household and meets Barbara (NotEnrique is obviously upset and tries to shoo Strickler away).
From now on, there are three people trying to get the amulet while not letting others succeed. The complication is that both Strickler and Claire start to actually fall for Barbara and Jim respectively. It's even worse for Claire, who has trouble understanding her budding feelings. She even starts to wonder if she can convince Jim to switch sides and become Morgana's champion.
Everything goes downhill when Jim accidentally exposes NotEnrique with a gaggletack as NotEnrique tells him Strickler's true identity out of spite. It leaves Claire the only one off the hook, and Strickler begrudgingly suggests to her to unite their efforts, promising her that Jim will be fine. However, Claire doesn't have her advantage for long as NotEnrique exposes her as well once he realizes that the girl Jim dates is actually Morgana's daughter.
Jim has a final confrontation with Bular and barely wins (Claire at some point blasts Bular to give Jim an advantage). Unfortunately, Claire ends sucked into the Darklands together with Nomura.
Strickler still runs away and later returns with Angor. He feels that he needs some protection both from Jim and Morgana who should be enraged for what has happened to her daughter. However, Morgana actually doesn't mind Claire being stuck in the Darklands - she thinks it can be a fitting punishment for falling in love with Merlin's champion (she plans to free her later).
Jim plans to venture to the Darklands and save his real brother and Claire (as he realizes that he should listen to her story first before judging her).
In the Darklands, Gunmar imprisons Claire for helping to kill Bular (he would rather kill her, but he realizes her importance to Morgana). Claire bonds with Nomura and hears about her history with Draal. Nomura is sure that dating an enemy can only lead to heartbreak and tragedy and that love turns into hatred once the lover learns about the deception.
Angor Rot never loses the shadow staff in this AU, but he drops it at the Trollmarket when he dies.
Jim ventures into the Darklands and saves Enrique, but is stuck like in the canon when the Killahead is destroyed. That's how he meets imprisoned Nomura and Claire. Jim and Claire have a talk and reconcile.
When Jim's allies come to save him, they also save Nomura and Claire. Seeing that Claire has succeded, Nomura decides to try reconciling with Draal.
Claire finds the shadow staff at the Trollmarket and picks it up. She has no idea that it belongs to Morgana though - she thinks it's just a great staff for busting her shadowmancy. It turns out to be a grave mistake as Morgana uses it as a conduit to possess Claire.
Initially, there are just occasional blackouts, and Claire herself is unaware. During those, Morgana contacts the remains of the Janus Order, has a deal with Gunmar, and revives Angor Rot.
Strickler returns, and Jim and his team learn that Gunmar is out and that some magic user is helping him. Strickler suspects Claire, but Jim is sure his girlfriend will never betray them (the irony is that both are right).
Claire starts to realize that something is wrong but tries to solve it herself first, and fails miserably. Morgana takes over and escapes. Meanwhile, Gunmar and Angor go to Merlin's tomb and recover Merlin's staff without any complications.
Jim is desperate to save Claire from Morgana's possession. In his search for a solution, he stumbles upon GDT Arcane Books and meets Douxie. Douxie admits that he's a wizard, but his expertise might be limited, so he suggests waking up his master.
Merlin isn't happy to wake up amid the mess. His staff is stolen, his student is involved for some reason, and his supposed champion is in love with Morgana's daughter (or student, or whatever)! Merlin refuses to help Claire (both because she is a shadowmancer and because he simply cannot do a thing), and Jim tries to reach her soul himself.
Claire temporarily snaps and starts a mental fight for control with Morgana. Morgana brings back her lie about them being too connected, but Claire realizes that she wants to be free and would rather die than live under Morgana's constant control. With that determination, she banishes Morgana out of her mind.
The final battle approaches and Merlin tries to talk Jim into taking his elixir. He's less successful because Jim is already angry with him for not helping Claire. He still agrees that it would be difficult to defeat both Gunmar and Morgana.
Jim shares his concern with Claire, and she admits that she could also use transformation magic on him and give him the ability to turn into a troll at will, but she isn't sure if it will work properly and that it might have horrible consequences, and that Merlin's elixir can be a better and safer solution. Jim says that he trusts her way more than he trusts Merlin, so he's willing to risk.
Claire's magic works as intended, and the team faces Gunmar and Morgana. Claire goes against her 'mother', fully expecting to die together with her. She's rather shocked when after sealing Morgana, nothing happens.
Later, she gets some visions in her dreams regarding her true family and decides to reconnect with them.

The strings of Y/n’s guitar trembled under her fingers playing random sounds. The computer was long forgotten on the coffee table. She was supposed to look for a better job than the music store but her mind was in another place, unable to worry about her future. Now that she knows that the world is not what she thought, her whole attention was placed in learning what she can to help in this war and remembering what she lost not on a career, but how do you remember something that you didn’t know you forgot? How do you get back that piece of your mind when the only one who can help you can’t tell you anything?
Y/n wasn’t really angry at Alfred. She saw the nervousness in his yellow eyes when he realized the mistake he had made, that she didn’t know what he was talking about. If anything, she wasn’t angry, she was sad. All her life there has been an empty space in her heart and now she knows that it wasn’t her imagination or teenage angst like her guidance counselor had told couple years ago. She’d felt bad for Al. He had been such a great friend all these years and she couldn’t say the same for herself. What kind of friend leaves you behind?
She had spent the whole night trying to piece together some kind of line back to something but all she founded were broken pieces that didn’t fit anywhere: A big tree with tangled roots sticking out of the soil, a green bird and a warm ray of blue light that would bring tears to her eyes yet she didn’t know why.
“You seem distracted” Al interrupted.
Y/n sighed “I’m trying to…I don’t know what I’m trying to do…I’m just trying to figure out…you know” she lifted her hands but they quickly fell back to her guitar.
“Oh! I apologize. I shouldn't have said anything! I mean, I shouldn't have said anything but I was getting desperate! We have always been together and being away from you for so long made me so sad! So I came back and let my guard down! I shouldn’t have assumed you remembered…” The cat walked in circles.
Y/n chuckled “I’m so sorry! I didn’t mean to laugh but seeing you talk is still really weird, especially while walking around in circles” She put her guitar down and tried to compose herself. She saw a smile on Al’s face, something she thought was physically impossible for a cat. “It’s cute and I’m sorry I’m being mean”
“No no no, you’re not” he jumped to her lap where the guitar used to be “the amnesia wasn’t your fault” Y/n petted the brown fur between his ears “I’m not sure whose it was but it’s not yours” he purred.
Y/n looked at Al lean into her with a soft smile. When she met him, as a child, she fell in love immediately. She used to blame destiny, on some random situations but she was wrong. Now, she knows it was all him. Al’s love had brought them together after all this time.
“Come on, Y/n! We are getting close!”
Y/n was running as fast as she could, she felt her feet barely touching the ground. The golden light of the sunrise filtered from between the thick trees illuminating their path.
“We are not going to make it” she screamed back to the boy running in front of her "Father is going to be mad” the realization made her smile fall.
Y/n looked back and saw the trees folding into themselves creating a dark tunnel, the only light in it were a pair of red eyes staring back at her, mocking her. A scream died in her throat. ‘Bular’ she thought.
Suddenly, her feet stumbled on a thick root making her fall to her knees. Bular’s laugh resonated through the woods.
“Y/n?” The boy looked back.
She stood there, immobile, her knees and hands glue to the grass.
“Y/n,” he repeated, running back to her “Are you alright?”
She looked up. The sunlight was hiding the boy's face but she knew who he was. She’ll recognise him everywhere.
“Yes” she lifted her hands from the ground, dusting the grass off them.
“Let me see” He grabbed her left wrist softly, like he was scared to cause more damage.
A hair strand fell from his bun. With her right hand, she pushed the hair behind his ear.
“I’m alright” she blushed.
“At least, let me fix your dress so we don’t get in more trouble” he blushed.
They stood up. Y/n revealing a hole in the grass stained skirt.
The boy conjured a blue light with his hands and stroked Y/n’s knees making the stain and the hole disappear.
“Thank you” She smiled. Her body was suffering from the lack of the warm light so she stuck her hand out and the boy took it filling the hole in her chest with his touch.
Y/n eyes opened, tears still wet on her cheeks. She was back in her living room with Al still asleep in her lap. She was dizzy. The dream playing in the distance of her head. Only remembering clearly the blue light’s warmth.
“I miss you” a sadness filled plea fell from her mouth.
“You said something?” Al stretched his back.
Y/n didn’t want to share her dream with Alfred. She didn’t want him to get excited again. She only had a strange dream that, probably, doesn’t have anything to do with the memories she wants back.
“No. I didn’t”
Her phone vibrated.
“Toby?” She yawned.
“Hi! Aaahm Jim is going to do something stupid. Need your help. Meet me outside TrollMarket” He sounded out of breath.
Y/n knew better by now than for ask for details.
“He what!?” Y/n screamed at the boy after he had told her about Jim’s idea of facing Bular alone thanks to the totem Draal had gifted him.
“No time for lectures now. We need to find him!” Toby grabbed her by the wrist and both started looking for Jim above ground while Aaarrrgghh and Blinky searched the sewers.
“Fine, but remind me to punch Draal after this”
Toby and Y/n felt like they looked through all Arcadia but they couldn’t find Jim.
“What are you doing?” Y/n saw Toby crouching down in the middle of the street.
“Shh” He lifted his hand up into the air “Oh no!” Screamed Toby.
“What?!” Y/n screamed back.
Toby ran to the middle of the road, luckily avoiding getting hit by cars passing by “Jim! Jim!” He screamed at the sewer top.
“Toby, come back!” Without hesitation, Y/n followed the redhead to the middle of the street while trying to stop the cars from hitting both of them.
“I can’t get it open!” Toby pulled the top in vain. It wasn’t budging “For the glory of Merlin!”
A truck passed really close to Toby, almost hitting him. Y/n cursed at the driver and kicked the back of the truck.
“This is dangerous, Toby!”
The boy finally opened the lid allowing the sun through protecting Jim from Bular.
“Jim!” Y/n saw his brother and crouched down stretching her hand down the sewer “Come on, Jim! Grab my hand!”
Jim jumped, missing his sister’s hand.
“I can’t reach it! The armor! It’s too heavy, Y/n!”
“Pathetic that you meet your end in a sewer, Young Atlas.” The darkness laughed.
The muscles in Y/n body flaked, almost making her fall. Young Atlas. There was only one person that called Jim that: Strickler. She felt disgusted as she remembered all the times she saw him with her mom and her brother.
Bular struck down his sword trying to strike Jim but the trollhunter was able to dodge it. The sword got stuck in the ground giving Jim an opening to escape.
“Jim, grab my hand. Now!” Y/n screamed.
His brother looked at her and looked back at Bular one last time
“I lost the Grit-Shaka” he stepped on the sword and took his armor off, a cloud of blue smoke surrounding him “but I can still be brave”
Bular lifted his sword giving Jim the impulse he needed to get to Y/n’s hand. With the help of Toby, they were able to get him out.
Jim kicked the lid closed. The three of them sat there in shock as Bular gave it a last punch. Once it finally closed, Toby and Jim let themselves fall on the pavement.
“Strickler is a changeling” Jim panted
“I never trusted him” Toby panted back
“Same” added Y/n.
“Also, you’ve been a real turd today” said Toby.
“And I smell like one, too” Jim sighed “ Thanks for saving my neck. I owe you one. Both of you”
“Yeah, great. Just don’t ever say “crispy” again”
“Deal”
Jim and Toby high fived.
“Crispy? Ugh” Y/n laughed
“Hey! Move it!” A woman in a SVU honked.
-
On the walk home, Y/n couldn’t stop thinking about the amulet and the blue smoke that seemed to linger from it. It looked like the same light that had been appearing in her dreams.
During the night, while Jim slept, Y/n went into his room. She slowly opened the door, the creaking almost giving her away, but Jim was completely passed out after the day he had. He was face down on top of his pillow that was muffling his snoring. Seeing Jim so relaxed made Y/n smile.
The amulet laid in the desk next to Jim’s books, giving Y/n an excuse if he wakes up. The amulet was shining, like it was calling for her. She took the amulet and ran to the bathroom to inspect it under the light.
She sat on the toilet and stared at it. The amulet was heavier than she thought, it was a perfect metaphor for the burden it carries. With her finger, she stroked the writing, Jim told her that the letter would change from trollish to english.
“Nothing, uh?” she said to herself.
A small part of her hoped that when she grabbed the amulet something would happen. A memory would pop up or at least she would feel the warmth the light had given her in her dream, but nothing happened.
“So stupid” she chuckled, pinching her nose.
It was a small chance but she still felt disappointed.
Then, she felt a shift in her hand where the amulet was. A small flash of light and the letters changed, it wasn’t english, she wasn’t sure what language it was, just that it looked, just like everything these days, familiar.
“For the glory of Merlin daylight is mine to command” resonated in her head, but what was wrenching her soul wasn’t the familiar handwriting nor the call but the writing of the name.
“Merlin” she said out loud, stroking the word in the amulet.
Like it was answering her, a green light washed her hand and traveled through her arm finally dying in her chest.
A small sob erupted from her chest, she took her right hand to her mouth to quiet it in vain, it already escaped like the tears that seemed to have flooded her face.
Maybe the amulet held the key to recovering her memories. Maybe Merlin himself held the key. It didn’t seem crazy, after everything that had happened, nothing was.
Y/n sang to herself some old lullaby that lived in her brain but doesn’t remember when she learned, her foot kicking the floor to the rhythm as she restocked some records in the corner of the store.
After last night, the quietness of the store brought her some comfort. Trolls, her brother almost dying and a box of memories impossible to open were pushed back by the smell of wood, wax and the warm light of the sun hitting her jeans.
The bell on the door rang announcing a new visitor but Y/n willingly ignored it so she wouldn’t lose the music in her head. If the person needed her help they would ask for it.
Someone cleared their throat behind her. She put down the record in her hands and with her customer service smile on she turned around but quickly morphed into a real one after seeing who it was.
“Hey, Douxie”
“Hi, Y/n” He laughed, shaking awake the butterflies on Y/n stomach “I been trying catching your attention for awhile”
“Ugh?!” Embarrassment started to bleed through her pores.
Douxie chuckled. It wasn’t a mocking laugh, or at least, it felt like one to Y/n.
“I knocked on the glass,” he pointed to the window. Between two large posters you could see the not so busy street and probably could see her from outside “I also said hi a couple times. You were really distracted”
“Oh, sorry” she gave half a smile.
“Oh no! I didn’t mean it…like…oh fuzzbuckets” he scratched his head looking down to the ground “You looked so concentrated with your nose scrunched…and you looked…”
Y/n could see Douxie’s guilt from Dr. Muelas' office. His hands moved faster than he was talking, if that was possible.
“Doux, it’s okay” she chuckled “I’m not mad”
“…cute when you do that” Douxie’s hands didn’t get to his mouth on time. Both of them heard it.
Their faces started a competition of who could get redder.
“Can we start over?” The boy said with his hands still on his mouth.
Y/n started laughing. That familiar warm feeling hugging her again. A warmth only Douxie seemed to have. Other people had called pretty in her lifetime but no one made her feel like it felt when Douxie did it.
“Yeah, totally” a rush of boldness ran through her veins “but you can’t take back what you said”
Douxie smiled, cheeks red as tomato.
“You know? It’s cute seeing you blush like that when everyone thinks you’re a lady’s man” Y/n returned her sights to the records but from the side she could see Douxie’s cheeks getting even redder.
“You really like embarrassing people, huh?“ He smiled.
“Just you” she smiled.
“Well, since there is no way of recovering from that embarrassing moment. I should go all in. Would you like to go out for coffee after your shift?” Douxie tried to look confident but Y/n saw his feet shifting.
She smiled.
“To show you that I’m not that cringey, of course” He added.
“Of course” She parrot “I would really like that”

I have an idea for a writing snippet,
Perhaps, Draal trying to calm down from a panic attack?
As someone who's suffered anxiety attacks before I'll be using that for a more realistic experience :3c please remember this is just how I experience and recall the situations I find myself in! Also if ya squint ya can see Draal/Bular, have fun with it (throws confetti)
__________________
The news of his father's passing was...sudden. Draal had gotten the news from Vendel, thank Deya, he was as soft as his old hardened hide could be with such a thing. For Draal, he was thankful Vendel was good with delivering tragic news. But, he wasn't thankful of his reaction. He was rather disgusted with himself even.
The only thing he found solice in was the fact he was completely alone in his weakness. It was dark, damp, the tunnels usually had echo but he'd found a rather padded spot where his stifled sobs only died in the dull dirt walls. His head spun, his breathing uncontrollable, the shards on his back making sounds he'd never been able to produce before, almost musical in a way.
His breath was fast, it felt involuntary, his entire body felt hot, his legs and hands stinging and numb, the only thing breaking up his panicked breaths were weak sobbing lows he did his best to stop before they rose from him as his eyes stung with the tears that soaked his usually stoic features. His father, the only family he had, slain by some idiot Gumm-Gumm-
A heavy paw clapped onto his shoulder, Draal jolted before a harsh hiss slipped between his teeth as he turned to club the one who dared to witness his weakness. Instead, a heavy hand grasped his horns, and a stoney brow pushed against his own. Bular.
"Easy now." His voice was a low whisper, eyes pinpointed into Draal's own. He succumbed, closing his eyes in shame as both of the larger hands slid seamlessly to hold him by the jaw, keeping their heads together. The only thing Draal could manage with his shaking numb hands was grip to Bular's upper arms in a weak attempt to ground himself.
There were no more words shared between them as they sank into a sort of sitting position, Draal held close by the former prince, and Bular offering gentle rumbles of sorrow from deep within his chest for his despairing mate as he came down from the suffering high.

One thing I find interesting about the trollhunters comic 'a secret history of trollkind' is how the amulet heals daya when she is blinded
So daya died in a fight against bluar when the mayflower set sail for america, in this fight bular uses his blade to turn dayas eyes to stone with the rising sunlight.
She responds by getting up and fighting back, saying "my eyes may not see but the amulet still gives me sight" and her eyes have blue magic glowing on them
Before we can learn more bular stabs daya in the chest and says "did your amulet see that coming" then throws daya in the sun and into the ocean
So is this a 'in lethal danger thing' or is it a thing the amulet just does?
That could explain Jim resisting being controlled by the decimared blade in the darklands and in the final fight, or explain how Jim isn't worse off while he fights trolls? Because they're made of stone and super strong
this ability obviously doesn't give total sun immunity, but it heals daya's eyes with magic? It's super strange and super cool at the same time
To add on to this in 'the felled' comic it shows one of blinky ancestors as trollhunter, 'araknak the agile' getting one of his arms lopped off by a gruesome (he also had a armour shield and an axe AND a weird stabby bow thing, not glaive, which is cool) and that arm stays chopped off, not healed?
So maybe it is a do or die thing
But I guess it doesn't really matter that much since they arent cannon to the show (atleast I think they aren't, don't quote me on it)

What the hell are Beast Trolls?
So if you read my fanfic on ao3, you probably wondered what the heck is a Beast troll? I have a good reference for what the Beast trolls look like. To know what this race would look like, try and think of Gunmar, Bular, Orlagk, and Johanna m. Arrrgh (from the 2015 Trollhunters book).
That’s right baby, I am changing the Gumm-Gumms… kind of. You see, Beast Trolls are the original race name of the Gumm-Gumms. The name was changed to Gumm-Gumms by Orlagk nearing the start of the War for the Surface.
Just to put some length in this post, let’s talk about Coratus and Morkie.
Coratus a Beast troll. While a majority of Beast trolls are warriors, there are some like Coratus who became scholars or who took up other occupations. When he and Morkie came across the Omniscienstone and touched it, he got a vision of the Killahead bridge and was given the knowledge of how to build it and how it works. This caused Coratus to shut himself into his study room, barely coming out at times, only to wander off to work on the Killahead bridge. He usually wears a black robe with a blue sash. His horns protrude from the sides of his skull. I imagine his proportions to be somewhat like Gunmars but skinny enough like book Arrrgh.
Morkie is also a Beast troll. Unlike Coratus, he is a warrior. Though, during the time when trolls were stuck in the Darklands, he and a few other warrior trolls would scavenge the Darklands for resources. Morkie has been friends with Coratus since they were young, and as the years went by, he developed a crush on Coratus, but hasn’t confessed to him just yet. One day, his father died and Coratus tried to cheer him up by taking him on a walk. That walk led them to finding the Omniscienstone. After Coratus’ little interaction with the stone and subsequently locked himself up in his study room, Morkie became extremely worried about his friend and his childish dream that he would be the one to make a bridge to access another world. He wears a warrior's kilt with a sword and cover on his back, wearing armor on his forearms. His horns are a part of his organic crown (like Gunmar’s and Bular’s) and they curve to point upwards on the forehead area of his crown.
Welp, this was my short post. Hope you enjoyed reading it… I guess. Tune in next time.

Nadia turns her head to watch as Bular charges and her father swings the scythe. She screams out again, and is forced to turn her head back around as another roar is heard right ahead of them. Another troll is rushing for them. Bryon puts on a scared face, but throws Nadia out of the way as the troll barrels right into him, mouth first.
Ah, the raid on Nadia's farm. This was one of the scenes that was clearest in my head while writing. And, this was all a first draft, sadly, so it wasn't as descriptive as I liked. But at the same time, the scene didn't really need to be because of it's frantic and chaotic pace. We're seeing the violence through a young Nadia's eyes, and I can only imagine the trauma of watching your family members die one by one forces the frantic brain to look and not look at the same time. Quite a few of these characters were going to die "off screen" as Nadia would be too busy screaming and running to really look. Her father definitely dies off screen. It's Bular. Against a human with a scythe. I don't think dad is surviving that. The other point needs it's own paragraph; when I write a fanfic, I try to keep the initial rating and presentation of the original, and Trollhunters isn't really known for its gore. It's pretty bloodless when you get right down to it. It's been a while since I watched it, and I can't really recall an overly violent scene. So, writing scenes with the rating in mind would make sense for the medium. I was also picturing all the Gumm-gumms as quadrupedal in movement like Aaarrrgh! or Bular, and not the bipedal, armored guards we saw in the show. So the scene of Byron throwing Nadia away from those gaping jaws, I can just picture it a bit like a graphic novel (kinda how I wrote the rough draft), of Byron, after throwing his sister to the side, and he's in the middle of the panel surrounded by an open maw. Like, you know he's about to get chomped on, and there's no escape. Shardborn is always one of the projects I'll sometimes look back on and think "wow, I still really like this and I wanna finish it", but it's been so long and there's so much canon that I'd have to work around now that Wizards has been out.

Give us the 600+ word wall of lore!
Okay, *cracks knuckles* we're gonna rewrite 3below, Wizards, (a bit of Trollhunters) and make their lore more overarching and actually work together.
Seklos and Gaylen were initially part of the Arcane Order. They along with Bellroc, Skrael, and Nari were pieces of the five primordial, elemental beings that initially created the Earth and everything on it. They are all the same kind of creature/beings and all have cores.
They worked together to create the planet and everything on it until they got into an argument over how their world should work and how they should take care of it. Nari, Bellroc, and Skrael sided with each other while Seklos and Galen sided against them. Inevitably from this argument, Seklos and Gaylen left Earth to make their own planet, taking their elements with them. With the sudden loss of two of it's elements the earth fell apart, leaving Nari, Skrael, and Bellroc to scramble and keep it held together as much as they could with their own elements.
The exertion of energy to keep the planet together was heavy on the remaining Arcane Order, and just before falling into a deep slumber, they created the Genesis Seals, an item that with all five of their elements, would be able to put their planet back together as it initially was created. Bellroc, Skrael, and Nari were all certain Seklos and Gaylen would eventually return to Earth.
Deep in space, far from Earth, Seklos and Gaylen find their own little spot and use the elements of their cores to create Akiridion-5 and it's moons. Together they use their cores to make it's first people and live their lives. Time passes and Seklos and Gaylen find themselves once again in a disagreement over how their world should work and how they should take care of it, only this time, Seklos creates her gun and reduces Gaylen to nothing but his core. She hides away his core, keeping it safe and keeping his element on the planet while running things her way.
Seklos creates more Akiridion people using her core (As per my Ak-5 reproduction headcanon explained here), whittling it down more and more until it is a fraction of what it initially was. With such little core left, Seklos grows ill and dies, her remaining core splitting into 4 pieces and making four descendants who become 4 royal houses of Akiridion-5. The Akiridion royals inherit the planet and cycle through their houses to rule over the planet and guard Gaylen's core. Over the ages, two of the royal houses die out, leaving Akraohm and Ventis left, who inevitably unite into House Tarron.
Trollhunters takes place, and like in 3below, Queen Coranda and King Fialkov decide to take Gaylen's core to Earth to hide it away from thieves who want to use it's power. When Jim defeats Bular, Kanjigar and Vendel finally trust him enough to tell him about Gaylen's core, and when the Hearthstone is destroyed and Trollmarket has to leave, Jim takes Gaylen's core with him to guard it (Merlin uses his magic to shrink it down to a more manageable size). None of them know the full extent as to when it is or what it does, simply that they have to protect it.
3below takes place, Morando finding Gaylen's core through Toby and manages to steal it from Jim and use it's power. 3below finale happens with Aja and Krel building Seklos' gun and using their parent's cores to kill Morando and leave Gaylen as his core once again. The use of their two elements in the battle is large enough that Nari, Skrael, and Bellroc finally awaken from their slumber, certain that Seklos and Gaylen have returned to put their planet back in one piece with all five of it's elements
Begin Wizards.
Bellroc, Nari, and Skrael all head to Arcadia, looking for Seklos and Gaylen, and then the Genesis seals.
Each of our Protagonists of the 3 series represents one of those pieces to fulfill the Arcane Order's plan.
Jim - Gaylen (the protector of his core)
Aja & Krel - Seklos (Her last direct descendants)
Douxie - The Genesis Seals (Merlin found the seals at one point and hid them inside Douxie)
The Arcane Order need to find Jim, fuse Aja and Krel's cores together to make them into Seklos again, and break the seal hidden in Douxie (killing him) in order to make their five element planet whole again. The result of which will destroy Earth and Akiridion-5 and all it's current inhabitants to fuse to two planets together and restart them as one.
Wizards kinda becomes what it originally was  described as, (mixed with a bit of RoTT as well)
Tumblr media
With our Trollhunters, Akiridions, and Wizards all trying to run from and thwart the Arcane Order so the planets remain as is. The time travel plot is removed.
(There's a bit of Akridion-5 lore and history I left out that requires it's own post and has some diagrams I want to draw to explain it. This fills in some small gaps from my summary -such as who the thieves are supposed to be. There also some more spoilerly elements to my Wizards rewrite that I left out since I plan to write this as a fanfic)

I drew my Changeling oc!
Their name is Kodin <3
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Myyy boyyyyy.
He is a very handsome boy.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Their Human form isn’t that special and I was a bit to tired to actually put affort in it but I was also too motivated to not draw it so this is all you get for now. I like his Troll form better-
(And yes I tried to spell his name in the troll language and I hope it's right because it's from a canon book I bought so it should be wrong buuut idc XD)
Some Infos about him:
• He is obviously a changeling and he is about 465 years as a Troll and as a human he would be like 19 years. He still is basically a child. (But pls don’t ask me how their age actually works bc idk )
• He is gay and uses mostly he/they pronouns but he dosen't really care about this. They also had a bf but he sadly died about 100 years ago.
• He wears piercings and also has a tattoo on his back as a Human wich goes over to his troll form because of magic but it looks like his white markings. The small cross on his ear was actually a gift from his dead bf and he ALWAYS wears it. He also wears a small mini braid that was matching with his bf.
• He is a very good sword/dagger fighter and also loves to use a bow. He is more of a stealth and distant fighter but he also has good skill if it comes to 1v1 due to the fact that he is very aggressiv and fast. He isn’t really good with big groups but he would never run away from a fight... unless he is forced to.
• He isn’t particular scared of the dead although he respects it. He will die for what his morals and mind stand for instead of trying to save his life by fake loyalty for Gunmar/Bular or Morgana what almost even cost his head. He is a open traitor since the minute Strickler got him out of the darklands.
• He says straight what he thinks and that's mostly insulting or sarcastic because he is really harsh on it and dosen't fear to speak about hus doubts or mistrust in plans or even people. If someone is closer to him he also showes his softer side wich is very playful and somewhat shy but it still won’t save you from his general jokes and honestie.
• He is very animalistic and lets his Troll form very often get the better of him. He loves to sit like a cat or walk on 4 legs If he runs away or hides from something. His Tail and ears mostly show his Emotionens. (ears go up if happy or alarmed, or go down if scared, and on... ) But he still loves to wear human clothes (mostly at home) because they are more comfortable for him. But he wears his mission equipment (the one in the drawing) everytime he is out for safety.
• He is good at stragety and if things gets serious he is the first person to be 100% there for action and making a plan. Even if most people don’t take him serious because he loves to sit on windows or tables or the lean of the couch which doesn't look very professional but that's what he gets most comfortable with.
• He dosen't bond easily with new people since his one and only love died in his arms and because of his parents abandoning him due to the fact that he is impure. That means he gets very attached and protective over the people he eventually bonds with in any way. Even if he questions them he would still follow them because of the fear of being alone.
• He has no socialskills. He mostly makes jokes about his trauma and makes fun of people no matter if he likes them or not. He curses a lot and even more if he is stressed and that happens often if there are more than 4 people in a room. Beside that he is very chill and dosen't get angry very easily if you don’t provoke him. And he can’t really comfort people but he still tries and fails.
• He is scared water. Everything that goes beyond his knees gives him panick attacks. He once almost drowned as a whelp if it wasn’t for Strickler. Strickler gave him a dagger to protect himself after that and he always has it in his side, quite literally it's on his right leg. He also has a small crystal talisman a band around his dagger that is matching with Stricklers. (Fun fact: His parents tried to drown him after they found out that he is a changeling.)
His place if he was in the canon timeline:
Context.
To clear that off, he is very loyal to Strickler due to the fact that Strickler looked after him in the darklands and ofc the first time he got into the human world and even until the battle against Morgana. Kodin sees him as some sort of father figure wich leads him to not like Jim and Barbara because he is scared of being replaced since Strickler practically is his only real family (in his eyes ofc). He questions some of Strickler very immorally actions but he still trusts and follows him, maybe even to death. (He also mostly chills in stricklers apartment because he actually does not have a home for himself)
He is also in a state where Angor rot accepts him but they kinda have a hate friendship over the course of the Story because they have some missions together and Kodin actually tries to be nice but fails because he literally has no socialskills. Kodin does not like nore trusts Angor but he still eventually got over it until Angor actually tried to kill Strickler-
Jim and the rest mostly saw him as troll near by in some missions or fights like with getting the stones. But they finally really meet him before the battle of Morgana. His Human form works at the Café with Douxie and they both get really good friends. And he almost acts like Jim if it comes to Stricklake beside the fact that he tries to be far more supporting. If Strickler is happy with her then he will tolerate it.
The actual timeline but short.
So in the first half of season 1 he isn’t very present. He just lives his life. Sometimes he spys or goes on mission for Strickler but it isn’t that special. He reports to Strickler like NotEnrique does. He basically already betrayed Gunmar and the rest of the Gumm-Gumms but Strickler covered it up what leads to Kodin thinking that they are sort of a family now since he never really had someone to care about him. He was in the battle of the Killer bridge but he mostly just tried to help Strickler in the fight and gets him out after the bridge fell onto him.
In the second half, when Strickler gets Angor rot, he is very often send on missions and sometimes even with Angor to keep an eye on him because he is in general very misstrusting towards the acient assassin. (As a side note: Kodin mostly goes with Angor on the missions without Strickler's knowledge and just tells Angor that it was planned...even tho it wasn't. He gets a very serious dad talk after Strickler found out... like a month later) He is in most of their meetings like the ones with Otto and he also was there when they freed Angor rot, he should wait outside but he sneaked in. He hates the binding spell but that dosen't change the fact that he mocks Strickler about it very often wich sometimes sort of makes a playful vibe between them. He eventually almost gets killed because Angor decided to first look at Strickler house first and then go to the place where Strickler actually is (because why should Angor know where he is. Kodin tells him on accident since he at first didn’t knew that Strickler lost control). He fights for a few minutes until Angor had enough and just knocked him out. He didn’t kills him because of the fact that they actually bonded a bit.
Season 2 he mostly just exists, workes at the Café and eventually reunited with Strickler and Nomura who hates him. He hates her too. And yes they just do their thing until season 3.
Season 3 is funny to me because I definitely imagine him just sitting on the kitchen counter when Jim comes home and Jim is like "who tf are you?" and he is like "just a random dude who works for a stupid ass changeling guy that almost killed your mom" and Strickler would just give him the death stare. But yes he would probably help with some missions including the bad coffee ep and the general training for Jim. He could and probably would train Jim the dirty sneak tactics and how to fight on distance. He fights in the battle of Morgana and stays in Arcadia because of Strickler and I hope that Barb would like him too, he would help them with the Babys. He likes Barbara and also Jim by now (even tho he is still a bit scared) and he just wants parents that care for him...
3 below goes on normal, he gets friends with Toby and also helps in the fight and in Wizard he was with Douxie in the Café but he got send home.
For the not canon movie he mostly does what the others do. He stays with Strickler for the Ice titan mission and gets absolutley destroyed by Stricklers death. He stayed with Barbara in the castle until the new timeline starts. (I could also imagine him grabbing something to get down on the ice and search for any life sign of Strickler until he eventually dies because of the immense cold wich would be the death he is most scared of, cold and alone.)
Anyways.
Challenging destiny is canon.

Notes for Midnight: Tales of Arcadia OC Fanfic
The notes aren't going to be set in a particular order; they'll mention what will change, be different, what's going to be fixed, added or removed, and what to expect in the Rewrite of Midnight.
The most important note: Midnight is NOT a Jim x Reader fanfic. It's an OCxOC Fanfic. I don't like doing OCxCC fanfics.
Their last name is no longer "Ryder"; it's changed to "Mun" as they are Korean.
Blake's older sibling's name changed to Ha-Yun "Haylen" Mun. Ash's name remains the same. Her mother's name is Haneul "Hannah" Mun, and their father's name is Ji-U "Jim" Mun.
Blake calls Jim "James" as that was how he introduced himself at auditions, and it's the same name as her deceased father. It would feel weird for Blake to call James "Jim".
Blake and Haylen were born with Albinism. Ash has vitiligo; half of their bangs and eyebrow is white and there are small patches on their face, fingers, and shoulders - they're adopted, which explains why they don't have Albinism like Blake and Haylen.
Since Blake is Albino, it's expected for her to be weak to sunlight, she wears sunscreen and wears sunglasses to protect her eyes. Her vision is 20/30, and she can see without glasses but would need glasses to see further than 25 feet. Haylen is the same, however, her vision is 20/50 and always wears her glasses.
The mother is emotionally unavailable and still grieves after their husband's passing 4 years ago. During that time, she had nobody to talk to because Blake and Ash were still young, and she had no close friends in Arcadia to comfort and support her - all of her friends were back in Korea.
In the beginning, Blake takes care of Ash. She became the substitute parent for Ash for the past 4 years. Before the passing of their father and Haylen's husband, Haylen went to Korea to have a high school reunion, then she stayed longer than expected when she heard her husband died the same day as her father. Haylen moves to Arcadia after 4 years of therapy and support from her high school friends. Hannah, Haylen, and Blake have a strained relationship ever since the passing of their father/husband.
Midnight will mostly be in Blake's point of view and eventually go into their own plot, so there can be room for character development. However, they'll still be involved in the Trollhunters original storyline in the series. (I noticed Midnight is in Jim's point of view from the start of the series. I just wrote Trollhunters and just threw Blake's story in there.)
Blake has slightly broken English. She can speak and understand Korean but can't read and write Korean due to her neglecting her Korean studies after studying English for so long.
In Chapter 6: Fears, Blake is traumatized by her past relationship, with her ex-boyfriend. I will be removing that. Instead, he'll do something unsettling that doesn't involve anything dark, just creepy and disturbing.
Blake will have difficulty forming relationships because she was manipulated into thinking humans are evil while under Bular's wing and being "Gunmar's Champion".
The current published Midnight on Wattpad has 65 chapters (excluding the regards and announcement chapters which make 67 chapters). I was able to narrow it down to 25 chapters. The chapters will be longer than the current Midnight has, and they have more interesting titles too(lol).
Blake changes sides later, not during "The Battle of Two Bridges". I changed it further into the future because I want to keep that idea where Blake has difficulty forming relationships and changing from being "Gunmar's Champion" to "Trollhunter".
Blake is Pansexual in the currently published Midnight, but I changed it to Aroace. She still dates Spenser but is strictly platonic, with little romantic attraction.
When Blake goes to the Darklands to save Jim and through Shadow Portals to scout the area, the sickness or darkness accelerates from 23 days to 18 days. I'm removing that idea. Instead, it's strong negative emotions that'll accelerate the Corruption and they're not numbered. It feeds on anything dark within the user of the Midnight Amulet. Then that Corruption takes a physical form in the user's mental space born from their negative emotions. I initially chose ten emotions, but I narrowed it down to feelings associated with anger: jealousy, anger, resentment, frustration, and irritation.
Instead of calling it "Sickness" or "Darkness", I decided to call it Corruption because it sounds cooler lmao.
Haylen is still a support system for Blake when she wields the Midnight Amulet. In the original story, Haylen wielded the Midnight Amulet and the Corruption doesn't get her. This didn't make sense since the Daylight Amulet doesn't choose a new wielder till the current user dies. So I made it Haylen's husband to wield the amulet and Haylen writes notes about the amulet. That's how she knows about the Midnight Amulet.
Blake and her mother will fight a lot. This fighting starts after the passing of their father/husband. Blake avoids her and Hannah doesn't care about what she does with her life, she just doesn't want her to act like a delinquent or out of line, like letting her grades slip.
In Midnight Rewrite, small scenes will appear from Daybreak(3BELOW OC Fanfic) and Meridian(Wizards OC Fanfic), but still kept in Blake's point of view in those scenes. For example, take Season 3, Episode 9: "In Good Hands", from Jim's point of view, Aja and Krel are helping the Trollhunters get lightning in a bottle. Meanwhile, in 3BELOW, from Aja's point of view, she thinks Jim has her serrator, but it actually turns out to be his amulet. For the scene in Meridian, the scene will be original and set before Wizards takes place.
Blake's personality has changed. Now she's a badass bitch, but selectively caring to people she genuinely cares about. So, there are going to be major changes to who she likes and dislikes.
The Dawn Amulet hasn't been figured out until later, since the Midnight Amulet was corrupted and lost after one use and it's unknown if there ever was Dawn Armor created.
Spenser will be properly introduced in the first few chapters. In the currently published Midnight, I just sort of threw him in there without any context. He was just a guy who showed up and started dating Blake a day or so after Jim when into the Darklands.
Since Blake is 17 years old, she is in her senior year (she skipped a grade) and should be placed in a different class, not in the same class as Jim since he's in sophomore year.
Blake and Strickler will have a father-daughter-like relationship, where Strickler sees her as the daughter he never had and Blake sees him as a father she wished she has.
These are all the notes I have to mention. There's nothing else for me to add for the rewrite of Midnight. I tried so hard to not give anything away for spoilers or hints for the rewrite of Midnight because I'd like to surprise my readers with the big plans and changes I have for Midnight.
It may take more waiting, but I'm actually really looking forward to sharing the new rewritten version of Midnight! Thank you to those who actually liked reading the old Midnight; even if it was poorly written and told by a 16-year-old girl who lacked lots of writing skills.

Hi! Here's an interesting ask.
So what if the day before Kanjigar dies in the show, Vendel manages to persuade him to test out one of the past Trollhunter's stone?
In an attempt to save his life, the stone pulls him into the amulet while he jumps to stop Bular from getting it.
As a result of that, Jim gets a very confused but thankfully alive Kanjigar when he speaks the incantation on it.
Due to Jim being the next candidate for the amulet, he can summon the amor still. It's very confusing for his enemies.
I can swear I've read a fic with a similar premise...
Anyway, let's call it Retired Kanjigar AU. Basically, Jim is still the Trollhunter but Kanjigar lives too. It creates so many complications though.
Kanjigar isn't happy as he was actually ready to sacrifice himself, and now it looks like he shoved his responsibility into a literal child, which doesn't sit well with his principles or morals. It also hits his reputation at the Trollmarket as some trolls start to call him a coward.
But the worst is the situation with Draal. Draal was upset even in the canon, but he's twice as pissed in this AU after realizing that he could possibly succeed his father without his father dying. The fact that Kanjigar starts to train Jim (in the hope of fixing the mess at least a bit) only adds fuel to the fire.
Jim still has a death match with Draal and wins. He insists that Draal talks to his father, but the talk doesn't happen for a while.
Kanjigar is the main Jim's teacher in this AU and Draal eventually joins as a sparring partner.
Kanjigar initially tries to find a way to get his mantle back and liberate Jim from the burden, but only until Jim defeats Bular. After that, Kanjigar makes peace with his current status.
