I'm so emotional and stunned by the fact 10 years went by in the blink of an eye since Frozen came out. Yet this isn't going to be a "Frozen changed me" 10th anniversary post. Frozen didn't change me. It inspired me.

Inspired me in life, inspired me in self-acceptance, inspired me in writing.

Hell, you know full well that I wrote 6 multi-chapter fanfics and countless of drabbles (150 maybe? fgjfdkjhgjdf) on Frozen so it's clear that this movie, and then its shorts and sequel, inspired me.

So yeah, thank you Frozen. Thank you Walt Disney Animation Studios, thank you Jen Lee and Chris Buck, thank you every single person included in the Frozenverse.

And to y'all, here on Tumblr and over there on FF and AO3, see you around because freaking YES we got two other movies to be hyped about and I still have so many Frohana stories to write 💜❄️

I'm so sorry I'm a little late. I have quite a busy schedule during the day and I wanted to be satisfied with the outcome which I am. I personally love how this turned out. I wanted to pay tribute to the snowflake patterns you'd see on merch and wallpapers and the rosemaling too while also adding the geometric design shown in the image promoting Frozen 10 year anniversary shown below.

Fun fact: You know this very pose Elsa and Anna make together is originally from the merch in the World of Frozen in Hong Kong's Disneyland, shown below. I thought this pose was so heartwarming and definitely needed to use it. I also used Elsa and Anna's same head touch pose at the end of Frozen 2 for reference.

But omg I can't believe it's been a literal decade of Frozen..!! 10 years of loving these babies and all the other main babies including Hans! Frozen will always be superior to any other movies of the franchise because it's what began this all.

I honestly don't remember the exact moment I went to see it but when I did I began obsessing over it collecting magazines, stickers, dolls, a toy box, "art of" books, collectible figures, Lego sets, cards, etc, etc. And I can't wait for Frozen 3 and 4 to hopefully bring back that big hit energy the previous two films made, especially this first one!

I will forever love you Frozen! ❄️

I struggle to believe it's really been 10 years (though for me it's only been 9). This franchise has truly turned my life around and I wouldn't be the person I am today without it. Anna and Elsa were and are the light of my life and I can barely wait to see where their story goes next!

I feared we'd never see the sisters again on the big screen after F2 so the announcement of the continuation of the Frozen saga this year truly came as a gift after more than a year without any new Frozen content.

This day ten years ago. ^This trailer.^ Cue nascent fandom going wild.

Anyone here remember the famous 'Elsa Trailer?' It was the one, absolute one, piece of pre-release American marketing that gave us a true taste of what was to come. That is, if you saw it.

Disney practically *buried* the thing: the announcement was a webpage on the company website (only text, no pictures or anything) that basically said "uh, yeah, so new 'Frozen' trailer, go on broadwayworld.com if you want to see it 'cause we sure as heck aren't posting it here." So, yeah, par the course for pre-release US marketing. 🙃

Seriously though, I was already ridiculously excited for this movie, and this trailer literally had me on the floor screaming. It really sells the epicness of the movie, not to mention it was the first listen of 'First Time in Forever' (oh my gosh, what a moment, hearing that for the first time...) And then boldly proclaiming it to be the 'Biggest animated event since The Lion King' only for it to become exactly that?!?

The marketing team did one thing right.

It's been a crazy ten years everyone! I technically joined the fandom closer to 9 years ago, but members of this fandom were there with me through all of my major life moments. I was in this fandom when I graduated high school, when I started college, when I graduated and went on to grad school, when my boyfriend (now husband) and I went long distance, when I got my masters during COVID, when I got my dream job, and when I got married, this fandom and the awesome people in it have been there for me.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all the love & support <3 Thank you for the holiday cards, the silly asks, and the friendship! No amount of Kristanna smut that I write will be able to repay you for everything you've done for me!
