“hi I’m y/n” you said to a shorter girl who looked just as nervous as you.
“Yeah I know. They said your name before”
“Oh yeah of course” you said pulling your hand away as you had it out to shake. Pretty formal for 17 year olds. She then grabbed your hand from my side back up again and shook it “Caitlin”
You smiled as you both focused you attention onto the information evening of the Matilda’s new squad members.

2011
“Caitlin you did it I flipping knew it!” You squealed to your roommate. She was starting for Australia, for the first time of her career and you couldn’t have been prouder.
“And I get to start with you!” She squealed as you both jumped around your hotel room.
You two were both in New Zealand when you were called about you both starting together. You made your debut last week, coming on in the last 5 minutes. But Caitlin would make her debut starting.
The game the next day: you managed to receive a pass from Clare as you ran up the field. You felt no one too close on you but you spotted Caitlin completely open just close enough to the goal, possibly not even close enough to you. You still passed to her just near the goal, a pretty impressive pass, as she sent a header straight into the back of the net. Slipping just past the keepers hands. She yelled in excitement as you jumped straight into your best friends arms.
“You did it cait!” You screamed holding her face in your hands before the rest of your Australian teammates jumped onto the two of you, causing you to collapse.

2020 (quite the time jump ngl)
“Hey you” you felt arms wrap around your sweaty neck. It was your girlfriend Ona. You had just beaten her Spanish team 2-1 in your match tonight. You celebrated with your respected team after your win while ona had a chat with hers. After signing shirts and posters and doing your laps around the stadium. You were standing around with Macca, Caitlin and Alanna before your girlfriend greeted all of you.
You turned around to give her a big hug, wrapping your arms tightly around her neck. “Proud of you” she whispered as she kissed your cheek.
“Even more proud of you”
She smiled at you before you both turned back around to your three best friends “hey guys” ona said before hugging all of them.
Caitlin’s POV
Ona seemed brilliant for y/n. I don’t see her smile that much than when she’s with her. But there’s just something about her, something sour that turns me off about when she’s with y/n.
I hugged her lightly, smiling. Knowing how much this meant for y/n. Seeing us get along with her. I’ve seen Ona put stress on y/n, it’s from the long distance. Some nights in our hotel room she has been teary about how difficult it gets. I think it’s that that is bugging me.

2021
“So fucking stupid” y/n sobbed into Alannas arms as we were in her hotel room. At another camp.
The long distance no longer worked for ona and my best friend. “Like it’s like all that trying and effort for the long distance wasn’t even worth it!” She exclaimed into Alan as shoulder.
“Oh Sweet Girl it was I promise it was” alanna soothed to her.
I did feel terrible. The couple had been together since when they met at Barca in 2018. And everyone loved them together. My heart ached at y/ns state. Soaking Alannas top, while Mac ran her hands through her hair. I said some words to her as I sat close to her.
After about 4 hours of room service, and 2 marvel movies. Y/n and me saw the other two girls out. As I shut the door, y/n pulled me close into a bone crushing hug. I wrapped my arms around her torso.
“Thank you for that. Love you” she said before pulling away and hopping into the shower.

Y/n’s pov
I gripped tightly onto Caitlin’s hand as the plane went through multiple stages of turbulence over the last hour. For the past 10 years, you had always held her hands during bumpy travel together. It just soothed your plane anxiety.

The final whistle blew as you fell to your knees. Hands covering your face. It was the semi finals, you had made it. And you went down 1-0 to Sweden. Tears slowly tried to fall out of your eyes. As you quickly brushed them away. Once finding yourself again moments later and standing up. You hugged some of the Swedish girls and then embraced Sam in a tight hug. Both showing how proud of each other you were. When in Sam’s arms, you looked over her shoulder to find your best friend standing by herself looking up to the sky in disbelief. You let yourself out of Sam’s arms before smiling at her then jogging over to Caitlin. She didn’t notice you at first as you pulled her towards you to giver her a huge hugger. Her head hung low on your shoulder, “I’m proud of you. And for that goal” you whispered.
“Thanks” she said holding you tighter. It was slightly disappointing. You were so close to reaching that gold medal, but just slipped before the last step.

The very short plane back to London was soothing. A smooth trip with sleepy girls. So it was very relaxing. Caitlin very quickly fell asleep in her seat next to you. She slept with her mouth hung open which made you giggle. You quickly snapped a photo before posting it to your close friends instagram story. You found yourself in your camera roll looking at the photo just taken. Then the suggestions of Caitlin box came up under the photo. You clicked on it as the photos app took you to all of the photos of you and Caitlin. From as long as you remembered. You smiled remembering the memories. She really has been the glue to your whole life.

Dafina Bora Hoxha (born 17 March 2000)[1] is an albanian actress. She gained international fame portraying Kierra Boothman in The Daughter from across the sea from 2015 until 2018.
Dafina Hoxha speaks fluently four languages including: albanian; English; Japanese and Italian. She also know some Korean and Spanish. Is also said she started self teaching herself Turkish.
Early Life
Dafina Bora Hoxha was born on 17 March 2000 in Tirana, Albania,[2] to Aida Hoxha and Ardit Hoxha. Her dad is from Tirana and her mother from Duress.

Hoxha was raised in Tirana in her early years, and later moved to Glasgow. She began boarding at Hyndland Primary School at age six, moving to Caldercuilt Primary School at age eight.
Dafina started acting at age six after her first school staged a show for the end of the year.
Career
Early work (2006-2014)
While still getting background roles, Hoxha began appearing on the big screen thanks to Mike Navelle[3] rom-com movie Cupid’s Little Helpers (2006) for Scotland BBC.
She appeared in one episode of Doctor Who[3] “Whispers in the Sanctuary”[4] (2007); she was a guest star in a couple of episode of Game of Thrones[5] (2011-2014).
In 2013 Hoxha appeared in Only Lovers Left Alive[5] in a guest role. But it was in 2014 and early 2015 that she started getting some popularity thanks to KidUlt[6] (2014) and Hello, Hi-tech[7] (2015)
Breakthrough and worldwide recognition (2015-2018)

Hoxha is well-known for his portrayal of Kierra in the 2015 TvShow The daughter from across the sea. She was invited to audition by Lei Hoire the show’s director, after he had heard nice words about her. Hoxha said about Hoire “He changed my personal life and my career. At first the Korean team didn’t want me because of my basic knowledge of the language but he managed to change their minds.” [8] Dafina Hoxha was given eight weeks to improve her korean, so she started as soon as she left the audition venue to study the language. It took her only six weeks to get on a good enough level for the production team but never told them until she brought it up during an interview. Empire magazine ranked Hoxha’s portrayal of Kirra as the 20th Greatest Show Character of All Time.[9]
While in Japan she started putting together a couple of ideas which ended being the plot for A love so fragile[10] and She is called Mythology,[11] two of her most famous screenplays.
In Japan Hoxha had her debut as a magazine model, posing for Cosmopolitan[12], BAZAAR[13], GQ Japan[14], Dazed[15] and Vogue japan.[16]
She got overnight recognition in Japan being the first western celebrity with an Asian fanbase bigger than her western one.
Her fanbase in 2016 was composed by the 10% of Japanese and Korean celebrities, BTS[17] and Bigbang[18] are part of that percentage that knows and supports her.
Varied roles and further success (2019-present)
After coming back from Japan, Hoxha started working more behind the scenes as a screenwriter.
Her first project A love so fragile aired the 14th February 2019 and was praised by the critic, making Hoxha the youngest successful screenwriter in Hollywood.
Between 2019 and the end of March 2020 she kept a low profile as an actress and kept on working on writing from the big and small screen, creating a tv show called She is Mythology based on greek, Roman, Norse Egyptian mythology and more. The pilot, Freya’s Day, Cats’ day[19], was very successful. The critic said “Serafina Hoxha is a young mind, taking risks and bringing integrity on screen” as she pushed the casting directors to cast albanian actors for the show. She is called Mythology casted 20 albanian actors both in leading and supportive role.
2021 and 2022 were the years she went back into acting working on two movies, that expanded her western fanbase, Ephemeral Echoes[20]and Whispers in the Shadow[21]

In 2021, while in Australia, Dafina Hoxha, met Chris Hemsworth. The two bonded over their appreciation for sharks. Hoxha was able to follow Hemsworth around during the shootings of Shark Beach with Chris Hemsworth.[22]
The 3rd January 2022 another one of her screenplays, Killer Nights, was aired and got nominated for 2023 BAFTA’s Original Screenplay[23] which she won.
Upcoming projects
Late 2023 Hoxha announced she was going to host the 2024 Oscars Awards.
In October 2019 it was announced that she is will be starring in Disney+ limited series Unrequited friends.[24]
In May 2022, it was announced that she is set to star in Netflix remake of Only Lovers Left Alive.[25]
Personal life
Hoxha resides in Los Angeles as of 2021
She is a huge Canucks[26] fan and was spotted a couple of times at some games of the team, mostly in America until 2023. Between 2023 and 2024 she started attending their home games as well.
She dated Hailee Steinfeld between 2018-2020
She was rumored to have dated Dove Cameron.
Halfway through the hockey season of 2023 some rumors started going around about a relationship with hockey player Quinn Hughes. Hoxha and Hughes got photographed a lot while together.
Charity work
She has supported several charities, including Shatterproof, Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), The California Wolf Center, The Shark Research Institute, American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Community Center, National Indian Child Care Association, Indigenous Roots, Polished Man Campaign.[27][28][29[30][31][32][33][36][37]

Summary of Blue Lock
Blue Lock is a manga and anime series written by Muneyuki Kaneshiro and illustrated by Yusuke Nomura. Since August of 2018 it has been serialized in a Japanese magazine from the publishing company Kodansha called Weekly Shōnen Magazine. The series is about a 17 year old striker named Yoichi Isagi. One day, after losing in a match against a rivaling school, Isagi receives a letter in the mail from the JFU (Japanese Football Union) inviting him to a special football training facility called Blue Lock. Upon arriving at Blue Lock Isagi learns that he is among 299 other 18 and under strikers in his country. Now Isagi has to compete against all the other strikers to become the best in the world.
He starts off the series joining a team ranked the lowest of the low, Team Z, as well as being in the worst ranked strata, strata 5. Z is the worst ranked team out of all the teams B-Z in Blue Lock. Their players all have the rankings 289-300, but after playing a game of tag and eliminating one player from each team, their rankings change to 265-275. Isagi plays with that team for all of the first selection and after winning 3/5 of their games against the other teams in the strata, their whole team moves on to the second selection.
In the second selection they learn that the person in charge of Blue Lock, Jinpachi Ego, lied to them and everyone else in Blue Lock when he told everyone that they were all ranked the worst in teams V-Z. After that, the ones who make it past a 1v1 with a hologram called "Blue Lock Man" and score 100 goals in the time limit will move on to stage 2 of the second selection. There they have to team up with two other players and compete against another team of three. Whichever team wins that takes a player from the other team, and whichever loses has to most back a stage and play in a 2v2. And whichever player doesn't get chosen gets kicked out.
Eventually, after playing in a few rounds, the teams of five will go on to play against a team of five made up of very good players from across the globe; a rainbow Argentinian, a French prodigy, a Brazilian tank, a British man, and a sarcastic Spanish guy. No team managed to beat them, the furthest a team got was 1 goal, which was Isagi's team.
After the game was over and all the other six (not including Isagi’s) teams had finished their game against the Team World Five, everyone gathered into one large room. After that for the third selection everyone is divided up into three teams; A, B, and C, and two of each of the top six players will be automatically put into each of the three teams. B and C each play in three games, while A plays in four. Three players (not including the top 6) from each team are randomly chosen to play on each game along with their two players from the top 6.
When this arc was finished Blue Lock got to play in their biggest game so far against Japan’s U-20 team. One player from Blue Lock got picked to play for the U-20 team, but everyone else stayed on team Blue Lock. After a long and fan favorite match, Blue Lock ended up winning 3-4.
They all got a 2 week break to go home and just have a break then they were back at Blue Lock. When they returned they had all got to pick 5 world class leagues to play on. The options were England; speed and physique, Spain; technique and creativity, Italy; slyness and tactics, France; a gateway for success for up-and-coming athletes/money making, and Germany; logic and rationality.
Each of the five teams plays against each other in what is called the Neo Egoist League.

To add: multiple times she posted about that damn ring within 1 week, close ups &stories showing it off, a few days later Harry was wearing it (so obviously staged). then all „organic fan pics“ of them „alone“ dropped all while 1 of her friends (1 specifically (Lauren cohen)) posted from same location & always quickly deleted her posts when people found out.safe to say that her friend took most of „organic fan pics“. Or the time she posted cows from out of a train to show off that she was in England🙄. Can’t forget that embarrassing „photoshoot“ of Harry taking pics with fans around New Year’s Day 2018 & holding her coat in every damn pic instead of her holding/wearing her coat herself (they were with Jeff/Winston’s) (coat she posted herself in end of December). how she never stayed at Harry’s place in London, bc she always was with her friends at a hotel/Airbnb (her friend posted multiple times). Or when she showed up uninvited to music cares thing when Anne celebrated her bday & everyone but her was wearing yellow flower crowns & she was just brought out to audience for 1-2 songs & then was gone again. Gemmas less then pleased face in one of Gemma’s friends story’s that night 😂. Can’t forget the way she was introduced on literal live radio before they even „started dating“. Or how Harry can go totally private & undercover to concerts (as he did so many times & we max got a blurry pic if that!) but at the Fleetwood Mac show back in 2017 we got 1000 pics & videos & not only that, got pap pics backstage with both!! oRgAnIc, huh?! Did I mention the times she „joined“ tour when he was the most busiest & literally didn’t have time? Example: beginning of November 2017. After music cares thing she was uninvited at, Harry kept his distance a bit & went on to tour Europe & looked more at ease than ever in last few months, also not wearing that red stunt ring. Then she turned up all of a sudden in Europe on tour after she had that insta meltdown (grocery shop bag photoshoot, insta story’s singing sott, wearing the necklace, most of her friends wearing somewhat Harry related costumes for Halloween etc) & of course posted about being in Europe! Harry had back to back shows: Berlin, Amsterdam, X factor Italy, Italy show & shenanigans there etc & X factor performance in UK. All those shows were within 5 days in a row! Traveling all over Europe! Yet she turned up & was gone like after UK X factor performance again (she had a shoot in LA, someone posted her being on set, meaning she had to leave right after his xfactor UK perform!) so why not turn up earlier when he actually had time? Or later when he was off again?? She didn’t attend any of his LDN or Manchester shows, not in 2017 nor 2018! Weird for being a „gf“ & missing out on ALL of his homeshows, huh? There’s so much more but I just wanted to show people how both (the Hamille and Holivia stunt) are really similar! The only difference is that the Hamille thing was to make it look more organic and consisted of mostly her trolling & announcing her whereabouts & introducing new stunt stuff „lowkey“ & to create a narrative for an album. Where’s the Holivia thing was right in our face yet Harry made sure she was not allowed to post directly about him. The few times cockburn tried, she had to take it down (pickle gate & his bday etc). Harry was obviously way more annoyed from Cockburn than he was from Camille, even though you can see that he didn’t mind Camille at the beginning & probably tried being friends, but this also changed the more annoying she got. not a coincidence that stunt stuff was changed & that Camille & O were allowed different things & that O moulded herself into a Camille lookalike after that Fine Line narrative… & I also KNOW that Camille saying she wished she could „tell her side of story“ doesn’t mean „Harry being an ass“ rather a NDA preventing her from spilling beans about PR stunt. She hoped to get more out of it publicity wise & after being made fun of or rather her new man in „cherry“ it’s not a surprise she wanted to tell the truth to look less of an asshole

Creased Hoodies (Chapter 7: iPad Diagnostics) [Folds in Time Universe]

Summary: Virgil just wanted to go on his planned summer research trip to do an anthropological study in 2005 America. However, when he is taken off course by an unknown enemy, he ends up stranded in the summer of 2018 with no way to get back the the 44rd century. Luckily, 2018 happens to be where a certain illegal time agency is based, and he might have an in with one of its agents.
This is the intermission for the story Folds in Paper. It takes place between Folds in Paper Book 1 and Book 2. It also takes place after the first 5 chapter of “Messages for a Hacker” which are side stories in the universe. Check all of this and more out on my Folds in Time Master Post.

This is a fic I’ve been writing on study breaks that you have probably all already seen at this point. I’ve slightly edited it for wording and grammar, but not for content from my previous posts. Virgil was, indeed, able to find the location he’d crashed landed at quite easily. It was impressive honestly. Logan knew how different the location looked during the farmers market compared to every other day of the week. The main road had been opened and the stage where musical performances took place had been removed. However, Virgil was able to retrace his steps without issue.
“I ended up under the stage,” Virgil informed Logan. “It’s been taken down now, but you can see where it was based on the grass.” He pointed to where the grass had been flattened and then walked around the indent a bit. “I was in the back,” he said, looking towards where the sidewalk was with a contemplative look, “so it would have been almost exactly here.” He tapped his foot on the spot.
Anticipating this part of their excursion, Logan had packed some of his tools before leaving this morning. He pulled out one of his modified iPads.
“You hide your time travel tech as an iPad?” Virgil asked, curiously.
Logan spared him a glance but said nothing.
“…You made your time travel tech out of an iPad?!”
“It is one of the most easily accessible technologies of this time that is also portable,” Logan said with a shrug, booting it up. “I use what I can get.”
“How on Earth did you manage to invent time travel with 21st century technology?” Virgil asked, peeking over his shoulder.
“Well, it took me a couple of decades,” Logan replied.
“It took everyone else literal centuries,” Virgil said dryly.
“Well, I knew time travel was possible already, so I simply made it happen.”
“You’re terrifying,” Virgil stated.
Logan just hummed and set the iPad scrolling through his diagnostic programs. In a few moments, it would come back with any readings time travel related.
Virgil watched the device intently, though Logan doubted he had any understanding about what the different things scrolling past meant.
It gave a soft beep when it was done.
“Well,” Logan said, studying his screen. The readings were not what he was expecting “There is definitely an anomaly, but we of course already knew that. These readings are strange, however.”
“What do you mean?”
Logan pointed to the iPad. “See this graph?” he asked.
Virgil nodded.
“It’s mapping out any timeline irregularities. When everything is normal, it looks like it does here at the beginning.” Logan pointed at the part of the graph from the beginning of Saturday. “It will oscillate between a value of .02 and .08. Things above 1 indicate something is amiss.”
Logan drew his finger across the graph to later in the day.
“I’d assumed whatever had caused you to end up here had dragged you here, but that doesn’t match these readings. Your arrival was not the main disturbance. There was a smaller disturbance about an hour before your crash.” He drew his finger along the almost straight line that stayed at 1.5 before there was a sudden spike. “Then there was the first spike.” The graph went up to 4.5 suddenly and then leveled off staying at 4.5 for a few minutes. He tapped at a spike to 4.9 that came next. “This is your arrival.”
“So…?” Virgil said.
“So, I think your presence here was a byproduct of something else being amiss. I don’t know everything about the time travel technology from your time, but I have noted that your devices tend to briefly ping off of times near to your destination before landing. It’s a form of recalibration. I think your device did a brief landing here at the wrong time and was deactivated much like Janus’s time piece has deactivated in the past in similar circumstances.”
“What does that mean for me?”
“Well, it means your device likely isn’t broken,” Logan said.
“Then why isn’t it working?” Virgil asked.
“Because,” Logan said, scrolling forward in time on the graph. The line had gone back down slightly but had remained at about 3.5 for the last few hours. “Whatever disabled your time piece is still here.”
Virgil looked at his feet as though expecting to see the device sitting on the ground somewhere.
“Not here here,” Logan clarified, “but it is active somewhere in this time and is nearby. They have a limited range from what I understand, though by limited, I mean it could be anywhere in the city. Though it is strange…”
“What’s strange?”
Logan tapped through different readings on his iPad to make sure he wasn’t missing anything. “It’s not causing any other problems,” he said. “We’ve only ran into these things once or twice before and we’ve never managed to actually get our hands on one to study it further. However, each time we’ve seen them, they’ve created some sort of major environmental issue. However, this time there are no obvious indications of time instability or weather problems. In fact, if I wasn’t looking for it, I wouldn’t have noticed.”
“Okay, that is weird,” Virgil said, “but can’t we just find it and shut it off? That’s what Janus said he did when he ran into them.”
“It is,” Logan confirmed. “The only issue is without the obvious environmental clues, I have no idea where it actually is to turn it off. It definitely was here when it switched on, but considering the dip in the graph at this location, it isn’t here anymore.” He looked around. “Perhaps it was attached to the stage or put in one of the musicians’ instrument cases. Then again, by that logic, it could have been put in anyone’s bags or in a since emptied trashcan.”
“So, it could basically be anywhere?”
“Basically,” Logan agreed. “We will check the most likely places for now and if that produces no results, I’ll… figure out something.”
Virgil grimaced. “That sounds promising.”
“I will do my best,” Logan promised. “I just wish I knew more about these devices.”
Virgil seemed to hesitate for a long moment. “How would you go about learning more about them?”
“Well,” Logan said, “if I could get ahold of a similar device to experiment on, I could probably find a way to track this one.”
“You already have,” Virgil said.
“Have what?” Logan asked, confused.
“You already have gotten ahold of one,” Virgil said.
Logan frowned at him. “I assure you, I have not.”
“But you do,” Virgil said. “Eventually.”
“…Oh, I see,” Logan replied, catching on. “Do you perhaps know where we do eventually find such a thing?”
Virgil pressed his lips together. “I think I might already be saying too much,” he said. “It’s stuff you shouldn’t know about yet in your personal timeline. People aren’t supposed to…”
“Time is not nearly as sensitive as the TPI seems to believe,” Logan said with an eyeroll. “In fact, most of Janus and Patton’s interactions so far involve accidently giving more information than necessary.”
“I don’t know…”
“I’m a time traveler from the 21st century who lives with a French man from the 1800s,” Logan said. “I’m not asking for a rundown of every part of the event, just a time and place to point us in the correct direction.”
Virgil still didn’t seem convinced.
“It would really only be a time saver,” Logan argued. “I could just blindly look for time distortions and send Patton after them, but it’d take a while…”
“Fine,” Virgil said after a moment. “This is probably entirely stupid, but fine. Give me a moment to think about what exactly I can tell you, so I don’t mess everything up.”
Logan smiled slightly at his overly cautious behavior but waited patiently.
“Janus met Pat once in Cuba. There was a time distortion during the Camaguey Carnival of 1755. Pat took the device that had been causing the disturbance and left before Janus could catch him.”
“Camaguey 1755,” Logan repeated. “An interesting time. I’ll look into it, and we will see what we can do. A trip will still take a few days to prep, however.”
Logan would need to find exact coordinates and he’d have to talk to Patton considering he’d just recently gotten back from an unwillingly long trip to pre-history. He’d probably be willing to go, but he’d mentioned forcing Logan to make him a “time survival pack” before he’d be willing to go back into the timestream. They’d need to talk about what exactly that entailed and get the supplies for it. His mind was already making plans about what he needed to do.
Virgil nodded. “Should we head back to the apartment, then?” he asked, interrupting Logan’s thoughts. Logan glanced at him. He had actually planned to show the man around a bit today instead of spending all of their time thinking about time travel.
“I cannot be sure that my roommates will have cleaned up their French toast nonsense by now,” he said. “We should likely wait to return until at least the lunch hour. It is not as though we could do anything about it today. We will need to plan.”
“Okay,” said Virgil, “then what are we going to do for the next 3-4 hours?”
“Well,” Logan said. “Perhaps I can show you around the town a bit more so as to not make more of a liar of myself than I already have.”
“Sure,” Virgil agreed with a smile. “What will you be showing me.”
“I was thinking we could visit the local museum. We can compare notes about how wildly inaccurate the exhibits present history.”
Virgil rolled his eyes at Logan, but there was something warm underneath his expression. “Fine,” he said, “but I bet I know more than you.”

I LOVE this show! This is easily the best thing I'm watching right now. Kim Tae Ri never disappoints. I am loving the dark tones that this drama has offered for its opening week.
+ King of the Land (2023)(17 Jun-) ~ Airing. ★★★☆☆
This is the fun watch of the season. It feels more like a 2000s drama. This feels like a nostalgia trip for me. It can come off as super cliche, but the banter between the two leads is fun. Lee JunHo is always a joy to watch. I am relieved to see that Im Yoo Ah seems to be keeping up with him.
+ See You in My 19th Life (2023)(17 Jun) ~ Airing. ★★★☆☆
This may not be great drama writing, but I'm finding it very watchable. My primary gripe is that the leads are a bit mismatched. Shin Hye Sun can run circles around Ahn Bo Hyun when it comes to acting chops. She just brings so much energy to her characters. Ahn Bo Hyun is more just to stand there and look depressed and a bit damaged. I do enjoy the setup and watching what aspects of Ban Ji Eum's 19 lives have made it into the present day.

This show is shaping up to be everything I wanted in a new KudoKan project. I love our leads as dislikeable as they are. It was so funny to me how they could go from arguing one moment to hosting Shoji Family Relaxing Kitchen the next. The timing is so precise. My hope for this show is that our leads are actually successful in getting their divorce.

BTS Chronicle - You may have noticed I took some creative liberties regarding what is listed as the “Dynamite Trilogy” on this website. Though I acknowledge that the three English singles served a purpose across the pandemic in 2020-2021—for the sake of this set and per my own understanding of these releases—I personally chose not to lump them all together as its own era/trilogy considering Dynamite was, in fact, an introduction to the BE era (and included on said album) while Butter and Permission to Dance were sold together on its own separate physical mini album the following year. I hope you’ll understand my thought process behind this and my decision to include Dynamite with the BE era, in addition to considering Butter/PTD its own era in and of itself.

From School era—MOTS era, I hope the way I’ve curated each panel makes sense in that the profile photo and story highlights of each “account” correlates to the final studio/compilation album within its era. Instead of having its own “post”, the top of the page represents the last release and overall profile. Eras with more than one mini/studio album are mentioned as a bullet point list in the “description”, while eras with one studio album have a lyric from one of its title tracks. Although real Instagram posts are shown in reverse order from newest to oldest as you scroll down, each release here is shown in chronological order from top to bottom to make it easier to understand and with the intention of the eye circling back up to the profile photo for the final release.
From BE—Proof, with fewer music videos and mini albums to include, some improvisation was necessary to encapsulate those eras during the pandemic. For example, BE and Butter each have less than nine songs, so their “post count” being 8 and 2 respectively wouldn’t have made sense with a visibly nine post grid. So I simply added seven to those numbers to max it out. The “posts” themselves consist of the corresponding music videos of each album, big career moments, behind the scenes footage, promotional TV appearances, or concerts.
Furthermore, I made the extremely difficult decision to exclude BTS’ Japanese releases from this set due to lack of room and not wanting to gloss over their incredible Japanese music by trying to shove them all into one panel or awkwardly squeeze them into their respective eras. I thought about making individual panels for their Japanese compilation albums, but I wanted the concept of this set to stick to era-per-panel as opposed to specific albums. I mean no disrespect to that body of work as some of my favorite songs by BTS are from their Japanese discography. For this reason, please look forward to a separate set entirely dedicated to BTS’ Japanese work in the future!

All About: Cannabis
History
- Cannabis probably originated in China. Medical and religious use can be traced to ancient China, India, Egypt and the Middle East.
- At the beginning of the 19th century, Napoleon’s soldiers brought cannabis to France from Egypt in the form of hashish.
- It became very popular with French writers and artists, who established Le Club des Hachichins (The Hashish-Eaters’ Club) in Paris.
Members included Theophile Gautier, Charles Baudelaire, Victor Hugo, Honore de Balzac, and Alexandre Dumas
- Hemp was grown in colonial America, but marijuana smoking probably came to the US with Mexican & Caribbean immigrants in the early 1900s.
- Cannabis (hemp) plant:
High THC content ---> Marijuana, recreational use
Low THC content (less than 0.3%) = industrial hemp
- In 1937, the Marijuana Tax Act instituted a national registration and taxation system aimed at discouraging all use of cannabis. It was overturned in 1969.
- Largely destroyed the hemp industry {note: this benefited paper manufacturers and thus indirectly benefited logging companies}
- United States Department of Agriculture lifted the tax on hemp cultivation during WWII
Legal Status
- In 1970, marijuana and THC became Schedule I illegal drugs.
2014 Farm Bill: permits cultivation of industrial hemp for research purposes
2018 Farm Bill: made industrial hemp legal, allowed CBD oil production
Preparation
- Marijuana is produced from flowering hemp (Cannabis sativa).
- Marijuana is a mixture of dried and crumbled leaves, small stems, and flowering tops.
- Hemp seeds have been used for oil and bird food.

This week our team continued on with the prototyping stage of the design thinking process, further discussing our low-fidelity prototypes, answers to last weeks research questions and delegating roles and tasks.

Effective Marketing Strategies when Talking about Climate Change
(research by Josie)
Using an information-deficit model to explain climate change to the public can be ineffective, as it assumes a level of prior knowledge and understanding of concepts and often uses technical and inaccessible language (p.14). Additionally, the public must trust authority and experts in order to accept the information (p.14).
Taking a more emotional and values-based approach may be more effective.
When marketing, need to consider not just who we are trying to attract, but the people those demographics want to listen to (p.32).

Although they define the science and policy discourse, the 'big numbers' of climate change don't relate to peoples day-to-day experiences. Start your climate conversation on common ground, using clear language and examples your audience is more likely to be familiar with.
Peoples values and political views have a bigger influence on their attitudes about climate change than their level of scientific knowledge
Connecting with widely-shared public values, or points of 'local interest' in your communication and engagement makes it more likely that your science will be heard
Tell a human story
Most people understand the world through anecdotes and stories, rather than statistics and graphs, so aiming for a narrative structure and showing the human face behind the science when presenting information will help you tell a compelling story
Focus on the 'knowns' before the 'unknowns' and emphasise where there are areas of strong scientific agreement around a topic

2. Research of similar question style videos/what makes them 'work'
Josie conducted research on the length, style (camera, direction, editing and sound) and amount of people in similar interview type videos to help further refine specific features of our own video. From this we determined a video around 5-6 minutes would be ideal, with 30 second - 1 minute clips edited for social media as well. We intend to interview 8-12 participants, to allow us to cut out interviews if needed. With more research into what equipment we can hire and room type, we will be able to further plan our video style.
As mentioned last week in our group aims for this tutorial, we have also developed a team notion page for timelining purposes to track our tasks and due dates.

Reminiscing past tours & I’ve really gotten to see @taylorswift for all tours except the Fearless tour 🫶🏻🥺 Speak Now was my first concert / first tour ever… this era means so much to me 💜
Gillette Stadium will always be my hometown shows:
• 7/26/2011 Speak Now tour (Night 2) — my first ever concert & my first time ever seeing Taylor live! We sat in section 240. I remember crying (happy tears) on my 13th birthday when my mom got me the tickets (like full on SOBBING)
• 7/26/2013 Red tour (Night 1) — my mom managed to get us floor seats in section A (I want to say A4 or A6, or B4 / B6 ?? I actually don’t remember) closest to the B-stage (closer to Taylor than I had ever been before) & when she came down the aisle for “22” I almost got to hold her hand but a security guard pushed me back / out of the way & I missed her by a split second 💔 I’ve never forgotten that moment.
• 7/24/2015 1989 tour (Night 1) — we couldn’t get tickets for this tour originally, somehow a family member managed to buy us a pair of tickets because she knew I was/am a huge swiftie since debut album & in the same week I won a pair of tickets from an XFinity giveaway on Twitter! My mom & her friend used the tickets for section 226 & my sister & I sat in section 111. My phone died that night & I have no pictures of my own from it but I remember it so well because I just got to live in the moment. We got to feel the entire stadium jump with 65,000+ people during Shut Up & Dance with WALKTHEMOON
• 7/26/2018 Reputation tour (Night 1) — I bought 2 tickets for me & my sister, this was my first concert I was able to drive us to. We had an amazing night, I met friends from here on tumblr at the show 🖤 we had section 109 in lower bowl. Taylor had Hayley Kiyoko come out to sing Curious !
• 7/27/2018 Reputation tour (Night 2) — second night, I bought tickets for my sister, boyfriend & I & also surprised my mom with a set of tickets in section 123 (we had section 109 again — no idea how I managed that). We had a blast going for a second night (never did it before Rep tour & I just wanted to experience multiple shows at least once).
• 7/28/2018 Reputation tour (Night 3) — third night I originally had tickets for up in section 310, but my cousin had never been to a TSwift concert before & as much as I wanted to see her for a third night, I felt it was best to give the tickets to my cousin & her mom to enjoy. They had an amazing time & it was her first concert, ever! 🖤
• 5/19/2023 Eras tour (Night 1) — we had ZERO tickets for this tour, even on the day of the show. My sister, cousin & I had always had plans to see Taylor live in concert together at least once in our lives but it never made it out of the groupchat until this fateful day 🥹 we joked about going up to Gillette Stadium to listen from the parking lot (we renamed our groupchat to “G13llette Eras Tour (Parking Lot Version)” ) — but we set out to go up & just have fun, we knew we could listen from anywhere around the stadium. Well, in the card ride up, fate would have it that this scheme would finally take it from the texts to real life ❤️ instead of listening from the parking lot, the universe said “you’re gonna listen INSIDE the stadium”. We scored 4 tickets to Night 1 on the drive up to the stadium, blasting TSwift in the car & just having ZERO expectations that we would even get tickets. My sister never gave up even when I did because of the Ticketmaster fiasco… we gave the 4th ticket away to a fan who had never been before ❤️ we looked like crazy people screaming in the car & crying on the phone to everyone we could call to say we got tickets by some miracle ✨
I’m very lucky to live in a world where Taylor Swift exists, truly 🥺🥹 her music has always been there for me. I’m very lucky to have seen her live on multiple occasions — & I don’t take it lightly how many people cannot say the same. I really hope every fan gets the same opportunities somehow, someway… I know the ticket situations seem hopeless & I myself gave up this time around on getting tickets to this tour; it hurt like hell everyday accepting the fact that I (thought I) wouldn’t see Taylor again after not seeing her in just about 5 years since the Reputation tour. Some fans have either never seen her, or it’s been well over a decade since they’ve last seen her.

Jumu'ah Khuthbah: 9 June 2023
Alhamdulillah that we're now 7 years old as twin kiddies, now that we are beautifully conscious of Allah - we can also fully dedicate ourselves to show Him (SWT) our complete love! Not that He (SWT) needs it, actually it's us that do - that's the open secret us adults will share with you both!
This is how our spiritual inspiration for the week flowed, Alhamdulillah!
#1. Nawaaz beautifully asked to know about guidance, how do we determine if it's from Allah or our nafs...?
Shaykh Nishaat responded intriguingly where he said that guidance can only be from Allah as a gift, and if it's not, then it's not guidance! Allah's actions should reflect in our thoughts and actions. We should each reflect our learnings, even spiritually as Muslims, we should be able to see some signs of it. That is why, we pray for guidance and peace in our lives in some way.
Our choices reflect our guidance. If we make the wrong choices repeatedly, are we enacting Allah's guidance? How we choose what we choose is a reflection of where we are in our lives. We can see whether something is guidance from Allah or misguidance from ourselves. We have a system of asking our hearts and then we become relaxed and neutral, where we know our reaction is enough!
Shaykh Taner also said that this world is for verification; but do we go after our own versions of truth or follow Allah, by watching His rights and wrongs ...? Here I remember my own struggle to determine whether I should marry your Abbu, Allah sent several pieces of verification 😊 As I have shared before; the tiny sprinkling flowers from a tree, a leaping dolphin in the horizon and a smooth journey despite several potholes on the way, including our 2018 car accident. Subhana'Allah!
#2. Shaykh Nishaat continued on the topic of guidance. We are not going to make the right choices when our nafs is in control! We need spiritual help to bring our nafs under control. We need to look at the intention behind the intention to determine if the guidance is from Allah. Choice is heavily linked to guidance.
The choices that we make shapes us, and Allah says that forgiveness is better! Upon others, and upon ourselves I would add; as a self-depracating worry wart - Insha'Allah one day I will receive that guidance and peace!
#3. On a blessed resumption of Saturday Sohbets, Shaykh Taner described those who see with their logic and think they learn when they make mistakes... When we actually learn by doing what's right, when we support positivity and remove negativity!
The emphasis on being positive over being negative has been a spiritual panacea, that opened so much in my heart and mind's consciousness - Ya Shakur (Divine gratitude!). Insha'Allah I pray to defy my fiery, doom and gloom genetic disposition and steer towards positivity as a natural inclination!
#4. Shaykh Taner continued to cool our hearts by saying that the important thing is, that Allah teaches us with love. When we come to Islam or faith because the name is unimportant, our mission is completed with no fear nor grief. Fear and grief are for the world of manifestation. Allah is the doer and we are just the 'shahid' as the observers.
Anne continued to project rahma (mercy);
What is close to our hearts may change at different stages of our lives but we must maintain our connection to Allah...
This is our fanafillah as merging with Allah or our experience of Laylatul Qadr where we must return to our worldly lives to enact Allah's actions.
That left a mysterious unknown, personally for me. I have been blessed with so much spiritual awakening through my 'disability', what is next Allah? Insha'Allah with continued love and commitment to Allah and thereby, our family!
#5. Again my spiritual panacea on positivity was elaborated by an altogether different source, the eloquent Yasmin Mogahed.

She said that we must have a positive view of Allah akin to our mothers, where we wholeheartedly trust them in wanting the best for us. Allah has more mercy for us than our mothers! We must trust Allah's credentials as the most wise, most knowledgeable and most capable.
Our understanding of matters differ due to various factors, where pain can be dealt with in different ways. Eg. Anger when something doesn't happen the way we expected it to. Sabr (Patience) is the minimum response we should have to our lives, we must not complain to the decree of Allah or have resentment! We must always have hope to fix something in ourselves; like my inherited, doom and gloom, and negative perspective - Bismillahir rahmanir rahim to living Allah’s positivity...
This has been a productive week of learning on all fronts, Ya Shakur that the learning is seemingly endless! With your Aunty Amira and me on board with your Abbu, and the Degrowth theory as a real alternative to Capitalism - Subhana'Allah!
